Ex List Episode Recap

Amirtalai_theexlist_240 Cyrus and Bella head to the beach to catch a wave and be sittin’ on top of the world (ooh-wah, ooh-wah, ooh-wah), but the plans are thwarted when a monster truck goes all Veronica Mars on Bella’s surfboard. She does run into Shane, though, a surfer dude from Mexico. FLASHBACK TIME!

I know I said it last week, but this really is my favorite part of the show. The strains of Sister Hazel usher us back to 1995, where Shane is a long-haired lime-stealing hippie. Apparently they are stuck in Mexico with no money or food, hence the lime stealing. On the brightside, they’ll stave off scurvy? Bella decides to leave him because he’s directionless and too crunchy-granola for her. She then breaks up with him on his video camera while he hangs ten. Snerk.

Back at the beach, Shane tells her he’s lived all over, most recently El Salvador, and he invites her to go surfing the next day. He also gives her a replacement board because he’s a big fancy surfer now who gets surfboards for free from sponsors. An adoring crowd swarms him as he walks away. Bella is hooked. What will be wrong this week? Directionless guy is now too corporate?

Ghost Whisperer Episode Recap: “Save Our Souls”

Ghost Whisperer surged 12 percent week-to-week to hit a season high 9.95 million total viewers. — TV Guide

As they’re boarding, Delia tells them a woman jumped off the ship to her death just the week before (gee, thanks for the well wishes, D!) – but we don’t get to meet her. We do meet Betty, who tells Melinda that all of the ghosts are afraid of what will happen to them after the ship is scrapped. Jim and Melinda are in room M110, and there’s another couple in room M108, Rich (a major ship enthusiast) and Julia, who are on their honeymoon but the Claridon isn’t their own personal Love Boat. They’re fighting all the time, and the new husband is exhausted.

We soon find out why. During a deck stroll on the first evening, Melinda sees a ghost, a drowned woman, making out with a passenger – a very much alive but asleep passenger – Rich the honeymooner. Melinda wants Jim to talk to Rich about it because she feels the ghost is very powerful, feeding off of him. Rich and Julia area also having problems with their room – temperature issues, moaning, scratching. The usual. Soon after, Melinda is confronted by a group of ghosts looking for help, and so Melinda calls in her new sidekick Eli for some “ship to shore crossovers.” He makes a list of ghostly grievences, leaving Melinda to pursue Rich and his kissing ghost….Continue reading »

90210 Spoilers: Shannen Doherty Comes Back for More

90210: Shannen Doherty Comes Back for More

October 16, 2008, Buddy TV

Well, that didn’t take long.  Shannen Doherty will return to 90210 for two more additional episodes, which will air in November.  Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh in the original Beverly Hills 90210 and preliminarily signed on for four episodes of the CW 90210 spin-off, was initially reticent of overstaying her welcome in the new series.  But, her work on 90210 with Jennie Garth, another hold-over from the original cast, was successful enough for both parties to sign off on another return.  The last time we saw Brenda, she was preparing to leave town.  Brenda also dramatically deleted Dylan McKay’s number from her cell phone.  Doherty will return for 90210′s eleventh and twelfth episodes of the season, and she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of appearing in additional episodes later in the season.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Spoilers: Denny’s Back! Katherine Heigl Might Leave?

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Exclusive: Denny’s Back!

Oct 24, 2008,  by Michael Ausiello

Greysanatomymorganheigl_l Time to dust off those brain tumor rumors: Katherine Heigl is seeing dead people again on Grey’s Anatomy.

For the second time this season, Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s deceased Denny will descend from heaven to have a heart-to-heart with his Earth-bound soul mate, Izzie. Morgan will appear in the Nov. 6 episode.

What brings Denny back this time?  Something happens in the episode that could easily set the stage for a Heigl departure at season’s end. I’m not saying it will; only that it could.

Supernatural Boss: “Dean Is Not a D**k”

Supernatural Boss: “Dean Is Not a D**k”

Eric Kripke is listening, and has something to say to Supernatural fans who are hurling a certain four-letter word in Dean’s direction as a result of this week’s episode.

Most simply said? “Dean is not a dick.”

Kripke answered his fans by sending out the following statement to the press:

“I’ve never before responded directly to the fandom’s comments about an episode, and I don’t plan to make a habit of it, but I couldn’t resist dropping in a thought about ‘Yellow Fever.’

Which is this: Dean is not a dick.

None of the writers, or anyone on the creative team of Supernatural, think Dean’s ever been a dick, past, present, or future. He’s a hero. Dean did not contract the ghost sickness because he’s a dick. Victims contract the illness because they use “fear as a weapon.” Dean asks Lilith at the episode’s end, “Why did I get infected?” And she cryptically responds, “You know why. Listen to your heart.” We, as the writers, probably should have emphasized this mystery more, I take responsibility for that omission. But the point is: the reason he was infected is because of a secret he’s keeping. A dark secret that will be revealed in Episode 10. And not at all because of any dickishness, implied or otherwise.

Thanks, gang.”
