The Walker family on Brothers & Sisters tends to be unhappy at great volume. Now, that high-volume discontent is in its way to philanthropy and politics.
Nora discovers an essential truth of the world: When you’re a stay-at-home mom throwing parties to raise money for worthy causes, that’s charity. When you want to run an organization that will raise more than $17 million, well, that’s philanthropy, and for that, you need a resume. Because of her family name, she gets a meeting – but how to deal with being known solely as “William Walker’s wife?”
Well, go into a rant, of course! Sarah tells Nora to treat Big Money Guy like she treats the butcher when he gives her a substandard rib roast. So when Mr. Corporate tries the “don’t you worry your pretty little head” type speech she lets him have it — and it’s awesome. After that rousing speech, Big Bucks gives her a grant. Is this realistic? I tend to think no. But it sure was fun to watch….READ FULL RECAP AT ZAP2IT.COM

AFTER READING THE SCRIPT FOR THIS EPISODE, I WAS REALLY STUNNED. IT LOOKS LIKE JIM DOES DIE IN THIS EPISODE, BUT DON’T BE DISAPPOINTED IT PROBABLY WON’T BE PERMANENT. MAYBE HE’S HAVING AN OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE AND STILL HAS THE CHANCE TO LIVE. I GUESS WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE EPISODE AIRS IN: NOVEMBER 2008 ON CBS. – http://www.tv.com/, 8-28-08

From Ace Showbiz: The CW have given a sneak peek to “Gossip Girl” Monday, October 27 episode entitled “Pret-a-Poor-J”. The episode which will largely focus on Jenny, sees the Elanor Waldorf House of Design intern going back to her malicious nature after the arrival of a new model named Agnes (guest star Willa Holland).
Agnes encourages Jenny to not only explore her wild side, but also confront her boss, Eleanor Waldorf, who is attempting to “borrow” Jenny’s designs. Serena and Dan agree to attend an art opening at Rufus’ gallery as friends, but the outing gets a little uncomfortable after Serena meets an artist, Aaron Rose, and realizes they have great chemistry. Blair attempts to seduce Chuck, but it proves tougher than she ever imagined.
Earlier this week, Taylor Momsen, the actress who portrays Jenny was hospitalized due to serious throat infection. The doctor who treated her said that she suffers from “severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection” but has been released from the hospital and returned to “Gossip Girl” set.
A recent scoop on the show from EW, revealed that Jenny and Nate’s relationship may take a similar turn to Ellen Page and Michael Cerra’s characters in “Juno“. E! has also dished out that Jenny and Nate will “kiss a couple of times” and Jenny will be pregnant. No details yet when this episode will be aired.
A surprise 70th birthday party for Mrs. McCluskey on Desperate Housewives causes everyone to think about the past. In other words, it’s time for a flashback episode! Desperate Housewives is rolling back the calendar to fill in those missing five years the show fast forwarded through.
As fun as it is to fill in exactly what we suspected, the true genius of the episode is Mrs. McCluskey, who arrives at her surprise party with a baseball bat ready to knock some people down. It really makes me wonder why Kathryn Joosten isn’t the star of this show….
