Melrose Place Episode Recap: “Pilot”

On the series premiere of the Melrose Place reboot, we meet the chic residents of 4616 Melrose Place, the Spanish-style apartment complex with the familiar-looking pool.

Filmmaker Jonah (Michael Rady) and Riley (Jessica Lucas) are headed toward marriage. Recovering alcoholic and chef Auggie (Colin Egglesfield) is a quiet type… so far. Country girl Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) is clearly not that innocent. David (Shaun Sipos) has some daddy issues, but wouldn’t you if your dad was Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro)? Power publicist Ella (Katie Cassidy) is an opportunist, sexual and otherwise.

Overseeing all this drama is the landlady of the house, eternal hot mess Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton), who has complicated relationships with each of her tenants, and for one person, it will lead to tragedy…..read more
