The Future of Gilmore Girls and Spoilers

As of now an 8th season rests primarily in Alexis Bledel’s hands. Its rather surprising tha she would diss the fans that in essence made her career. Without Gilmore Girls she would have never had an acting career, and without the fans she would never had breakout success.

There is no way at this point in the season that the show could actually wrap up properly, and the Rory light season idea would be better the closing the show with so much remaining unresolved especially w/Luke-Lorelai.

Here are some spoilers for the remaining episodes:

Episode 7.18: Hay Bale Maze
Airdate: April 10, 2007

  • 02/28 – [The April 10th episode is tentatively] when a pretty major turning point occurs in the Luke and Lorelai saga. Based on my e-mail bag, it’s an event many of you have been anxiously waiting for all season long. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
  • 02/14 – Just received a fresh batch of intel on Episode 18, and there’s a pivotal scene at the end in which Luke and Lorelai both apologize for all that ugly stuff that led to their breakup. Best of all, Lorelai utters the words we’ve been longing to hear since last May. Although the heartfelt powwow doesn’t include any physical contact (i.e., smooching, necking, petting, etc), it certainly paves the way for a possible May-sweeps reunion. • 02/10 – It’s the annual Stars Hollow Spring Fling. Lorelai and Michel are busy welcoming new guests at the inn. Michel is irritated by the cheerfulness of the visitors. Rory is on a train back from Providence. April gives Luke a bracelet. Later, Lorelai, Logan, Rory and Michel, along with some tourists, go to Spring Fling in a bus rented by the Inn. At the event, some Inn guests are skeptical about a maze made out of hay. One kid is especially not that excited because no one will chase him or shoot him with water guns as he goes through the maze. Logan goes through the maze with the kid. Babette, Morey, and Taylor also appear. Source:
