Grey’s Anatomy Couples Spoilers

From People

Season 5 of Grey’s Anatomy is shaping up to be a love fest for the doctors of Seattle Grace.

First of all, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) are finally moving in together — but don’t count of them walking down the aisle any time soon.

“Wouldn’t a wedding be too predictable?” Pompeo asks in a new issue of TV Guide. “And would Meredith even wear a wedding dress?”

Even without a wedding, the on-again, off-again couple will take a break from the breaking up and finally get a chance to explore life after “happily ever after,” says show creator Shonda Rhimes. “The first three episodes start the dynamic of where we are all going,” Rhimes tells the magazine. “Meredith is trusting him and moving forward cautiously, and Derek is waiting there, saying, ‘I’m here to support you.’”

How would a Mer-Der wedding look? “Cristina would come to Vegas with Meredith and Derek,” Pompeo imagines. “Then I’d leave her at the slot machines and go get hitched.”

The show’s other characters are also in for changes in their love lives:

• “Izzie’s got a love story — and it’s a big one, one that I’ve been kicking around in my head for a bit, one that required me to take a huge leap of faith in myself, one that is so secret that I have not told anyone. Not the writers, not anyone,” Rhimes says of Katherine Heigl’s character.

• “George (T.R. Knight) and Lexie’s (Chyler Leigh) love story is going to take an incredibly unexpected turn,” Rhimes continues. “Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Erica (Brooke Smith) have a love story of their own. And, yes, it includes Mark (Eric Dane).”

Sandra Oh’s character Cristina is finally moving past ex-fiancé Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington), who left the show after season three. “She’s been alone for a whole season,” Rhimes says. “That’s going to change. See, there’s this military guy who … well, you have to watch to find out.”

Chuck Episode 2 Spoilers!

Really good Chuck-Sarah moments ever take place in episode 2. One involves Sarah making a grand, Huey Lewis-rockin’ entrance into Buy More and then planting a kiss on Chuck (think Phoebe Cates’ famous scene in Fast Times, only more dressed), and the other finds John Larroquette’s washed-up James Bond assessing Chuck’s 007 potential by having him perform an impromptu seduction of Sarah. Yvonne Strahovski’s reaction to Chuck’s lame moves is pure romantic-comedy gold.  — Ausiello Files

Inside the Grey’s Anatomy Season Premiere, More Spoilers!

Spoilers from KorbiTV at

Erica Hahn interviewIt seems Callie and Hahn are a bit unsure about it themselves. They’ll spend most of the season opener avoiding each other. Turns out neither ladies has any prior girl-on-girl experience, so neither is totally comfortable with the kiss they shared. But Callie will soon reap the benefits of Hahn’s desire to become a better teacher and that could be the catalyst for the beginning of a real romantic bond between them.

Alex and Izzie’s relationship will continue along a rocky path with ups and downs.

Jeffreydeanmorgan Denny’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) appearance is tasteful and appropriate, as opposed to soapy and silly. But you may be disappointed by his amount of screen time.

Meredith’s main concern this season is her relationship with Derek — who’s moving in with her, btw — and of course, her true love, Cristina. Besides, Lexie’s about to find out that Meredith slept with George — who Lexie’s now totally in love with — and that could complicate things further.

KevinmckiddKevin McKidd’s character is a real bad a-s and a nice match for Cristina…

More Spoilers…

Shonda Rhimes is apparently doing cartwheels over Kevin McKidd’s work thus far. Literally doing cartwheels. Although McKidd’s status is technically still recurring, he will probably be made a full-time regular by the end of the season. — Ausiello Files

Also a flash-forwardish sequence will show us what two characters might be up to several years in the future. Rather, a flash-forwardish sequence will show us what two characters might be up to several years in the future.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 5 Spoilers from Shona Rhimes! Plus Mer-Der’s Future! Video Previews & Scoop

Grey’s Anatomy Premiere Thursday September 25 @ 9 PM on ABC

Grey’s Anatomy show runner and creator Shonda Rhimes spoke with the Associated Press about what to expect on this upcoming season, and how will deal with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd’s (Patrick Dempsey) happy reunion in the last moments of the season finale. Where the couple reunited after Meredith saw the light about her commitment issues after therapy. The couple kissed on Derek’s hill top land, filled with candles that Meredith used to outline their future home.

In this image released by ABC, Patrick Dempsey, left, and Ellen Pompeo are shown in a scene from, “Grey’s Anatomy,” premiering, Sept. 25, 2008, at 9:00 p.m. EDT on the ABC Television Network. (AP Photo/ABC, Eric McCandless)

“We ended last season with the end of the fairy tale. I always thought this season was about what happens after the ‘happily ever after,’ for all our characters,” Rhimes describes. “For some, it’s about jumping off into something new. It feels like a very fresh start for everybody,” Rhimes said.

ABC released a number of promos that have upset fans, including one where Derek is in a car accident and killed after leaving Meredith, and another where Rose (Lauren Stamile) confronts Derek telling him “I wish there were a good way to say this: I’m carrying your child.” The admission stunned Derek as much it has stunned and angered fans. If true, this could ruin the Mer-Der reunion fans have been hoping for this season.

In an ABC podcast in May, Rhimes said Rose isn’t pregnant, and was later quoted as saying she wouldn’t deceive “Grey’s” loyalists.  Leaked spoilers have proved that Lauren Stamile is in fact leaving the show after the premiere; her character will be gone, but it’s uncertain how the line fits into the show. As previously reported by Michael Ausiello two of the following are supposed to happen in the premiere with one a dream and the other reality:

A. Rose stabs Derek.
B. Derek suffers a heart attack and is visited by the ghost of Denny.
C. Dr. Burke returns to Seattle Grace and shoots Derek in the face before turning the gun on himself.
D. In a flashback, we learn that Derek got into a car accident shortly after leaving Meredith in the candle field.

Still despite these scenarios, Rhimes says that season five will be more upbeat, “We’ve settled in from all the attention paid and all the hoopla. We feel like we’re back to where we were in seasons one and two, in the sense that the writers feel a little bit fearless,” Rhimes said. “We know our characters so well at this point that now is the time to take chances.”

Also Rhimes said both she and Grey’s Anatomy benefited from the Hollywood writer’s strike. “It was the first time in four-and-a-half years I wasn’t working nonstop. It was a chance to sleep and clear my brain. … I know what happens next for these characters in a way I hadn’t known before.”

What is for certain that Meredith and Derek are definitely traveling down the road to commitment, but it won’t be smooth. (Obviously, without rough patches there is no show)

Also revealed was a new character including the new doctor Kevin McKidd, a military doctor who Rhimes said “makes an impression” on Dr. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh). And guest stars including Bernadette Peters and Kathy Baker, and Mary McDonnell who is in advanced talks to join the drama for a multi-episode guest arc, according to ABC.

Rhimes also discussed Katherine Heigl (Dr. Izzie Stevens) and assured the press and fans that despite rumors to the contrary Heigl is not leaving the show. Heigl did not submit her name for Emmy consideration this year because the show did not write Emmy worthy material for her character, after her win last year for Best Supporting Actress Drama. “Talk? Who?” Rhimes responds, “We have every intention of seeing Katherine for the entire season.” And after being asked if Heigl asked to leave the show Rhimes responded, “No, she has not.”

Commenting on Grey’s Anatomy’s off screen drama notably Isiah Washington’s slur towards T.R Knight which prompted Washington’s exit.  “I have to say we’ve been through a lot,” Rhimes said. She attributes it to “the ‘Dawson’s Creek’ phenomenon,” in which a “bunch of lovely and young actors” must learn to cope with the sudden fame a TV hit brings.  “These are people who went from living their lives to not being able to walk down the street without paparazzi being able to follow them wherever they go,” she said.

Rhimes herself has grown accustomed to the fame, Grey’s was her first foray as a show producer, she now also produces its spin-off  “Private Practice” and feels “everybody has grown up together.” “I drive my little golf cart over to the set and everybody is just really happy. … So it’s nice to see that we’re growing into it,” Rhimes continued. “I would be shocked if there were no more surprises,” she said. “It’s the nature of the beast. I don’t necessarily feel the same about ‘Private Practice.’ I just feel like this particular show is its own animal. … If it’s a calm day, we’re suspicious.”

Ugly Betty & Grey’s Anatomy Promo! Premiere Night Thursday @ 8 PM on ABC

New Ugly Betty Videos, Interviews, Spoilers!

From KorbiTV at

You haven’t seen the last of Henry and Gio, but both Chris Gorham and Freddy Rodriguez passed on making the Ugly Betty move to New York and that will definitely influence Betty’s response to Henry’s marriage proposal and Gio’s joint travel plans. The good news for those who are pissed to see her love interests go? The new guy, Jesse (played by Val Emmich, the kid who made Liz Lemon a legit cougar last season), is unhateable. He’s a struggling musician that lives across the hall from B — she’s getting her own apartment in the city! — and you might just forget all about the old flames at the first site of his cute face.

Eddie Cibrianwho plays Coach Diaz, Hilda’s guy that’s married, is sticking around.

Lindsay Lohan actually has several scenes with Betty’s pop, Ignacio, but she doesn’t seem to be familiar with the whole “respect your elders” concept.

Except for the birth of her Meade baby — whom Christina is still carrying — Wilhelmina’s Mode takeover is pretty much complete. In fact, she’s already given Mode quite the makeover and Daniel’s moved on to a new job… which of course means that Betty will too…

And I think they might even bring her over to MODE for a little bit.” Fingers crossed Hilda (and her unique taste) signs on as a stylist! read more

America's Next Top Model - cycle 11 cast

When you watch America’s Next Top Model tonight, keep this in mind: Both of the Jays already know the winner!

Kristin at E!Online spoke with the fabulous Mr. Jay Manuel and Miss J. Alexander, and they gave her the following clues on the “obvious” girl who’ll be victorious this season…

Jay Manuel Chris Polk / Getty Images

“I called the winner of this cycle on day one,” Mr. Jay said. “I knew it.”

“We both did,” Miss J revealed. “We both knew who would win right away. It was obvious!”

Who is the obvious choice? Isis? Elina? Clark?

In the meantime, don’t expect any clear indication from the Jays on who they’re rooting for during the episodes. “Trust me, whenever it’s kind of obvious they cut it out because they don’t want us to give it up, but I did call this winner,” insisted Mr. Jay

Jay Alexander The CW

“What happens sometimes [is that] when I scream excitement over a girl,” added Miss J, “she never gets chosen, because the producers think it’s too obvious. So I don’t do that anymore. I keep it to myself now.”

So what about Isis, the show’s first transgender contestant? Could she be the one?

“The amazing thing with Isis is that if there is one industry that can really embrace someone who is transgender, it would be the fashion industry,” noted Jay Manuel.

Guess we’d better not rule her out yet, though it should be noted Isis hasn’t exactly been wowing the judges lately. Instead, look tonight for the girl who doesn’t get much commentary from the judges at all…

Kristin believes it might be Elina.
