Smallville Episode Recap: “Instinct”

Dr. Gruel, having recently come out of his spider hole, is analyzing a crystal for Tess. He starts a frequency modulator that activates the crystal, shooting a major beam of light out of Castle Luthor. The pretty blue light disappears almost as quickly as is appears. Tess is intrigued, not realizing what she’s unleashed onto the streets of Metropolis. A random stereotypical stockbroker comes across the newly arrived Maxima, her outfit leaving very little to the imagination. She introduces herself to the guy, mistaking him for the one who activated the crystal. They share quite the passionate kiss, which initially overpowers him. Never underestimate the male libido, as he attempts to make out with her once again… that is until he collapses from the sheer sexiness of the kiss. Or bad acting, take your pick….READ FULL RECAP

Ugly Betty Episode Recap

So when we last saw Christina, she was out cold after a mysterious person pushed her down a flight of stairs. Fast forward to the next day, and Daniel asks Betty to dry clean a really dusty jacket and then says if anyone asks where he was last night, give the excuse that he was wrapping stuff up at Player magazine. Uh, why do you need an excuse in the first place, Danny boy? Ooh, mysterioso. Unfortunately, not sharing the truth with Betty bites him in the butt because our girl cannot lie. So when the 5-0 comes by Mode — allowing Amanda to get all sex kitten-y and hit on Mr. Kelly Ripa — Betty breaks under interrogation and blurts out she doesn’t know where Daniel was the previous evening. D’oh….READ FULL RECAP

From Zap2it.com Highlights:

– Ever since the show moved to New York to shoot, I’ve noticed a distinct difference in characters’ styles. Betty’s has improved. Claire looks totally hot. Marc is more stylish and casual. I’m not terribly crazy about Wilhelmina’s bright palette tonight though.
Tonyplana_uglybetty_240 – Papi has had a racy few days! First he catches the Coach nude (very nice muscle tone in front and behind), then he watches the Daniel-boinking surveillance tape with Betty. Hmm, I’d feel better if the sexiness didn’t always involve his daughters somehow. Really, Ignacio needs some love!
– Is this the first episode where the Suarezes finally lapse into Spanish when they’re upset? It’s about time they added that touch of realism.
– Wil calls Christina a “Scottish rent-a-womb”
– Justin: “That Mariska Hargitay wears some amazing pantsuits.”
– Jeez, can Wil actually have a heart? She’s actually considerate of Christina after learning that Stuart is dying since the treatment didn’t work.
– The Wilamannequin also scares me a little. Okay, a lot.
– Claire’s prison advice: “Do your own time, and don’t trust the popo.”
– Neighbor Jesse borrowed Betty’s umbrella and left a note. Okay, I know we’re giving the girl time to focus on her career here, but I’d like a little flirtation.

Supernatural Episode Recap: “Metamorphosis”

Jared Padalecki, Jensen AcklesOn tonight’s episode of Supernatural, the brothers team up to stop a man from transforming into a flesh-eating monster.

Supernatural kicks off with Sam and Ruby 2.0 questioning a possessed man about Lilith’s location.  The guy ribs Sam about his association with the “demon bitch,” so Sammy promptly uses his mental mojo to suck the demon smoke right out of him, turning him back to normal.  Not only is Sam starting to scare me a bit, but he’s also scaring Dean, who sees the entire ordeal from outside.  Dean comes into the warehouse and immediately picks a fight with Ruby after figuring out who she is.  Unfortunately, Dean is no match for the demon, so she quickly overpowers him and pins him against a wall.  While Ruby takes the man to the hospital to get checked out, Dean storms off without saying a word….READ FULL RECAP

Supernatural Spoilers: The Mythology Dean vs. Sam

Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles
From BuddyTV:
If I took a trip to see sassy psychic Missouri Moseley and asked her what’s coming up in Supernatural‘s future, I think I know what she’d tell me: the battle of Winchester vs. Winchester.  Dean has known he might have to face off with his brother since the beginning of season 2, when a dying John warned him that Sam might turn to the dark side one day.  The addition of Castiel to the mythology has only made the brotherly battle more inevitable.  Sam is cranking up his dark mojo with help from a demon, Dean is working for an angel, and the long-dead Yellow-Eyed Demon has a plan for Sam that has yet to be revealed.  None of this is going to end well….READ FULL ARTICLE: Supernatural: Winchester vs. Winchester

90210′ Casting Spoilers: Jason Priestley & Shannen Doherty are Back…

Beverlyhills90210_lJason Priestley has agreed to do an episode of The CW’s 90210 later this season, but you won’t see him — he’ll be behind the camera, working as a director. Sources confirm to Michael Ausiello exclusively that Priestley will helm this season’s 18th episode, which is slated to air this spring.

Meanwhile, a 90210 insider also reveals that Priestley’s TV sis, Shannen Doherty, is nearing a deal to return for two more episodes later this season. Executive producer Gabe Sachs would only confirm that she’s “in talks,” but Ausiello’s 90210 spy insists “she’s coming back. The deal isn’t officially done, but it’s happening.”

Might one of Doherty’s two episodes be the Priestley-directed installment? Sachs says that’s TBD. “I think it would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his [former 90210 costars], and it would also add something special to that episode,” he says. “But we don’t know whether that will happen yet.”

A more likely scenario has Priestley bossing around his other leading lady, Jennie Garth, who’s back for at least six episodes.

There’s also some efforts to lure Luke Perry and Tori Spelling back to the fold.
