Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: 5.09 Preview “In the Midnight Hour”

Question: Okay, I’m officially worried that Izzie really does have a brain tumor and Shonda Rhimes is paving the way for Katherine Heigl’s departure at the end of the season.
Hold on, Alex, I’ve got Shonda Rhimes on the line….She says she heard through the grapevine that I’ve been flooded with hundreds of e-mails from mostly irate and confused Grey’s fans wondering WTF is going on with this bizarre love story between a dead Denny and an alive Izzie….She says she’d like to address Ask Ausiello readers directly via this exclusive statement….

“I think the love triangle with Denny, Izzie, and Alex is among the most interesting we’ve ever done. Watching the chemistry between Jeffrey and Katherine again has been really touching. I can’t wait for our viewers to see where we’re taking it. But what it won’t involve is Izzie having a brain tumor.”

Alright, so the brain tumor theory is out the window. What does that leave in the way of logical explanations? Scroll down to the comments section and start brainstorming. You never know, I may run your idea in next week’s Ask Ausiello and pass it off as my own!

Question: What’s next for Callie on Grey’s Anatomy now that Hahn’s gone?
The official ABC logline for the Dec. 4 episode includes this little morsel: “Callie can’t figure out if Sadie is just friendly or flirtatious.” Translation: Sadie’s next for Callie. — The Ausiello Files

It all comes down to sweet memory and its torture for Izzie in the episode called “In the Midnight Hour”. This would be the “” another episode where Izzie’s deceased fiance, Denny Duquette played by , comes back haunting her.

Months after his death, Izzie was reminded of Denny in episode 5.07 when a patient was treated with similar disease that killed him. Izzie is having visions of him which was speculated as a symptom of Izzie’s brain tumor that she will suffer.

Meanwhile, the November 20 episode also sees Meredith, Cristina and Bailey coming to Lexie and Sadie’s rescue when a routine surgery goes horribly wrong. As Owen and Derek treat a man seriously injured while sleepwalking and Mark comforts the sleepwalker’s distraught daughter. Owen’s feeling for Cristina is also given a spotlight here. —  Ace Showbiz

New Privileged Spoilers! Possible “Gossip Girl” Crossover?

‘Privileged’: Who’s Guesting, Who’s Getting New Boyfriends & Will There Be a ‘Gossip Girl’ Crossover

By Korbi Ghosh,

Dedicated Privileged fans, this post is for you. When I mentioned last week that I’d be visiting the set, your questions came pouring in and it was an absolute pleasure getting them answered. The cast of this show couldn’t have been cooler and executive producer Rina Mimoun is my new favorite person. Sure, Bill Lawrence will always have a very special place in my heart — after all, he put me on Scrubs, gave me a line and everything — but Rina Mimoun, she is one of us, people. The woman is an avid player of Friends trivia, can spend hours gabbing about Grey’s and Gossip Girl, and will debate the Felicity dilemma (Ben vs. Noel) with the best of ’em. God bless her, between all the TV watching and running this hour-long series, she actually found time to give me a tour of the Privileged set, introduce me to the cast and answer many of your queries. So, without further ado, the answers…

Brianhallisay I love Megan and Will, but don’t want them to rush into a relationship because then he might not make it to Season 2 as a love interest. I’m curious to see how they play that one… Also, is Lily back for more trouble this season or have we seen the last of her? -Manda
We have not seen the last of Lily. In fact, she’ll be back to wreak havoc in Megan and Will’s relationship! That’s right, Megan and Will are most definitely giving this thing a shot, but his previous dalliance with Lily will bring up a few problems. Brian Hallisay, who plays Will, said there will be various issues and bumps in the road for them, but only because it would be boring otherwise. However, he also mentioned that Will will open his world up to Megan, introduce her to his family and possibly help her get ahead career-wise.

Kristinaapgar Will Megan and Lily ever have a normal relationship? -abcguy
JoAnna Garcia told me she can’t imagine that happening. But just because their dynamic is dysfunctional doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. Rina said there will definitely be times when Megan’s down and we see a softer, more caring side of Lily come out.

Lucykatehale Absolutely love Privileged. It’s my new Gilmore Girls! A question for Lucy Hale: We got to hear her wonderful singing voice this week. Will we be hearing the former American Junior winner belt out some vocals in the upcoming episodes? -Chance
Unfortunately, as of now, the answer is no. They haven’t filmed Lucy singing again so far — they’ll be moving away from that whole “this is our publicist, we’re going to be famous” storyline pretty soon — but that’s not to say they won’t. Rina’s very well aware of how talented Lucy is and may be thinking of more organic ways to weave her voice into the show.

Ashleynewbrough Can you find out if Sage is a lesbian? Anyone else feel like she might be? -Kara
Ha! It never crossed my mind and I’m pretty sure the answer is no. In fact, I met Sage’s new love interest, Ignacio Serricchio (Diego on General Hospital), on set — he is also an avid Friends trivia fan who faces off against Rina — and it seems like things will get pretty hot between his character and Sage when he joins the Baker staff as Marco’s kitchen assistant. Ashley Newbrough, who plays the taller twin, said she’s not sure if he’ll be able to put up with Sage, but her feelings for the aspiring chef will certainly bring out a more vulnerable side.

Michaelcassidy Is there any hope for Charlie and Megan? -Robbie
Not in the near future. Actually, JoAnna mentioned that Charlie may soon realize his feelings for Megan might have been a bit misdirected.

You promised more scoop on Marco’s boyfriend. Spill it. -P
The hair stylist b.f. of Marco is being played by David Monahan, Jack McPhee’s first boyfriend on Dawson’s Creek! Apparently, he’s Rina’s go-to gay lover!

Joannagarcia Question for JoAnna Garcia: Are there plans to bring any of her former Reba cast members to the show yet? -Anonymous
Indeed. A huge smile swept across JoAnna’s face when I asked her this Q. She said, yes! Very soon! …Also, Christina Pickles, who played Ross and Monica’s mom on Friends, is doing a guest stint as a Palm Beach socialite who faces off against Rose over an upcoming charity event.

Garcia has stated that she wants the Gossip Girls to do a crossover, so is anyone else doing anything about it, or is it just wishful thinking? I think it would be great for Privileged. -Tony
Leightonmeester The answer, straight from the mouth of Ms. Mimoun: “We would love to do a Gossip Girl crossover! We even came up with a really fun idea for Sage and Blair (because clearly they would be friends). The problem is scheduling. With Gossip shooting in New York and us being in L.A., it makes it really difficult. But I’m still hoping we could find a way to make it work…” So, we shall see! Maybe an uproar from fans clamoring to make it happen will help. Is a Gossip Girl/Privileged crossover something you guys would be down for? Any storyline suggestions?

Heroes Episode Recap: “It’s Coming”

After spending the last episode in the past, this one picked back up where we were in present day, but with many eyes (as always) looking to the future. And based on several of the characters’ reactions, that future (again, as always) seems more ominous than promising. Even so, in this episode, the “teams” that have been forming seemed to take full shape around the opposing captains of Arthur and Angela Petrelli. Meanwhile, Mohinder was spreading his awful skin rash to others via “the formula,” Elle and Sylar’s relationship took a shocking turn (literally), Hiro was being childish (again, literally) and everyone learned a powerful secret that could stop Arthur’s plan in his tracks. Let’s dig in… more

Ghost Whisperer Spoilers: Producers “A Second Chance at True Love”

The Ghost Whisperer Producers: A Second Chance at True Love

by Kim Moses and Ian Sander, TV Guide

We want to thank everyone who’s been weighing in on what’s happening with Jim and Melinda’s story. As always, we’ve been paying close attention to what you all have to say online, and everyone here at Ghost Whisperer appreciates your passion. If you have more to say, we hope you’ll also hit the CBS Message Boards.

As you know, three-and-a-half years ago, the Ghost Whisperer pilot launched Jim and Melinda’s relationship with their wedding. Because you, our fans, embraced their relationship so passionately (as evidenced online over the years) and because of the immense depth of talent and chemistry that Jennifer Love Hewitt (Melinda) and David Conrad (Jim) have on screen, we wanted to give Ghost Whisperer fans more of Jim and Melinda, in a deeper, richer way. That’s why with next Friday’s episode, “Heart and Soul”, we at Ghost Whisperer are rebooting Jim and Melinda’s love story. They will get something very few people ever get in life — a second chance at true love. Starting with Episode 408 — the key to moving forward in Season 4 — Ghost Whisperer fans will get to experience Jim and Melinda falling in love from the beginning.

Next Friday’s very special episode was beautifully written by executive producer P.K. Simonds and co-executive producer Mark B. Perry. (P.K. and the Ghost Whisperer writing team are doing a brilliant job of engineering this amazing journey for all of us!) The episode was directed by Ian, who says Jennifer Love Hewitt and David Conrad were magical to work with on this show. And, while shooting the powerful scene between Delia (Camryn Manheim) and Melinda, the crew was moved to tears. The episode guest stars Screen Actors Guild nominee Roxanne Hart (Chicago Hope), Cotter Smith (X-Men 2), Todd Stashwick (The Riches), Ellen Woglom (Viva Laughlin) and Kenneth Mitchell (Jericho).

Click here for the Ghost Whisperer “Heart and Soul” art card.

Musically, the episode features our new favorite band — the UK ‘s chart topping The Script (Sony BMG). Check out the world premiere of the Ghost Whisperer “Second Chance at Love” music video featuring The Script’s hit song “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” which was edited by Tony Miller and Peter Tadros. Other music featured in the episode in addition to Mark Snow’s gorgeous score are: Paul Freedman “Earthquakes” (RCA/Arista Records); Indy artists Holly Conlan “One, Two, Three”; Latch Key Kid “Thin Air”; Shawn Barry “Say You Will”.

If you want to check out a tease for next Friday’s episode, click here.

We want to commend series creator John Gray for the fantastic job that he did in writing and directing last Friday’s episode — it was incredibly powerful. While John was shooting the “dancing” scene (which features the 1966 rock ‘n roll classic “Good Lovin'” by The Rascals; Atlantic Records) that reunites Jim and Melinda, the actors, the extras and the crew were moved beyond belief. (We go through a lot of Kleenex during production on this show — but always in the name of ‘hope’). In the episode, you might recognize Golden Globe winner Joanna Cassidy (Six Feet Under), Young Artist Award winner Alexa Nikolas (Zoey 101), Saturn Award winner Thomas F. Wilson (Back to the Future III) and Rodney Scott (NCIS). They all did a fabulous job.

You should also know that while everything with Jim and Melinda has been going on over the past two weeks, Jennifer Love Hewitt was directing. (She certainly had a full plate.) Love is finished now and will be stepping into the edit room to create more magic. She sends you her best from the set. David Conrad was up in our offices on Thursday and wanted us to relay to you that he is stunned and flattered by the buzz online — he’s amazed that you all care for Jim so much. He asked that we thank you for your support and he wants you to know he’s loving the journey. So are we!

One last thing: Over the next couple of weeks, Jim is going to need some serious help remembering his past with Melinda. We hope you, our Ghost Whisperer experts, will lend him a hand.

As always, thanks for watching, and make sure to check back next week when we share more Ghost Whisperer goodies.

Kim & Ian
