“Home Is the Place” – It’s the people that make a house a home, on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” SUNDAY, JANUARY 4 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET). The competition is on when Bree meets Andrew’s future mother-in-law for the first time, as each is determined to win over their son’s affection; Gaby urges Carlos to accept a job which pays a six-figure salary even if it means spending more time away from home; Susan is feeling lonely while Jackson is away and turns to Lee for company; Lynette catches Preston speaking to his runaway twin on the phone; and Edie grows weary of Dave as he continues to exhibit some odd behavior.

Gaby recalls how Eli helped her make new friends when she moved in; Lynette remembers how he came to her aide when she was overwhelmed and neglected Penny; Susan reflects on how he was always there for her as a shoulder to cry on each time a man walked out of her life; Edie looks back on their special friendship; and Bree thinks fondly of how a small gesture he once made helped get her to where she is today.
