Major Gossip Girl Spoilers: ‘The Grandfather’ Episode Recap & Previews!!! Plus New Set Photos

Gossip Girl fan here. I want Blair and Chuck scoop!
Tonight’s C-B kiss (yes, kiss!) on Gossip Girl is wildly hot and happens in the midst of a totally classic Bluck confrontation scene. You could even call it Blucking up against a wall! Truly, if your devotion to the Chair relationship includes any kind of tolerance for “angst,” this is the episode for you. As for you Chuck-Blair hard-liners (you want it and you want it now), the kiss is not the kind of loving reconciliation you’re hoping for. In fact, by the end of the episode, Blair and Nate’s new thing is well underway. Sad face. (Watch With Kristin)

How about some scoop on Rufus and Lily for once!
Rufus and Lily are giving Gossip Girl a Lost-style TiVo moment. They decide to make lists of their past sexual assignations, and Lily’s list includes such rock star names as Slash and Trent Reznor. Save the screengrabs as a keepsake checklist for when the show-not-called-Lily premieres! (Watch With Kristin)

Any news on what’s up for Nate on Gossip Girl? Nate’s the center of tonight’s episode, and hey, it turns out that he’s actually New York political royalty. And as Spider-Man and the Kennedys already know, with great power comes great responsibility but not enough time for loved ones. Will Nate’s family obligations mean the end of his love affair with V? Tune in tonight to find out! (Watch With Kristin)

3/23 New ‘The Grandfather’

Gossip GirlDevastated by the recent plot twist in her life, Blair turns her back on her predictable Waldorf existence in favor of a more wild and unpredictable lifestyle, causing Serena and Chuck to have serious concerns about their friend. Vanessa convinces Nate that it may be time to forgive and forget when it comes to his mother’s Kennedyesque family, The Vanderbilts, who abandoned Nate and his mother when they needed them most. In a misguided effort to be completely honest with each other, Lily and Rufus agree to share lists of their past lovers.

Gossip Girl – Episode 2.19 – The Grandfather – Recap

LILY AND RUFUS

The Lily-Rufus plot line is pure filler, but still enjoyable. While working with her art dealer, Lily learns that she and Rufus used to date. Lily is caught off guard by this and asks Rufus if he has any other secrets he’d like to share.

Rufus asks if she really wants to go there, and she suggests that they make a list of all their exes. She regrets this immediately but is now forced to go through with it.

The next night at dinner, Rufus hands her an index card with about a dozen names. Balking at its small size, Lily pulls only half her list from her purse – and it’s still enormous. Rufus is slightly taken aback, but knows she had a wild past and lets it go. When he reaches into her purse to tip the Chinese food delivery guy later, though, he finds the other half.

He is, understandably, thrown off by the fact that there were that many more guys in her life, but even more upset that she kept it from him.

Rufus walks out angry, but comes back later that night with a new list – of things Lily loves. That’s all he needs to know, about them and about their future. They make up.

NATE AND VANESSA

Vanessa tells Dan how excited she is for her upcoming summer in Europe. She and Nate are going to travel throughout the continent, just the two of them.

She and Dan are going to Nate’s to watch college basketball, but it turns out someone beat them there – his cousin, Tripp, who’s encouraging Nate to attend the family reunion this weekend, saying their grandfather really wants to see him.

Nate wants none of it because his family didn’t stand by him in his time of need. V encourages him to bury the hatchet. Accompanied by Vanessa and Dan, he decides to show up.

There, he learns from Tripp that the grandfather didn’t exactly ask for him to be there – it was all Tripp’s idea. But the grandfather is indeed happy to see Nathaniel standing there when he gets off his private helicopter at the family estate.

Nate and the grandfather have a heart-to-heart. Instead of being ashamed, as Nate assumed he was, the Vanderbilt family patriarch was proud of the way Nate convinced his dad to do the right thing. He wants to take Nate back under his wing.

While Dan and Nate play touch football with his relatives, Tripp’s fiancee tells Vanessa how the grandfather is a powerful man, and thinks highly of politics and public service. He is grooming Tripp for powerful positions down the line, and will do so for Nate if he has his way.

Later, right before the big family banquet, Vanessa finds out from Tripp – before Nate even said anything – that their grandfather pulled some strings and got Nate an internship at the mayor’s office.

She confronts Nate about it, and he’s clearly torn – he likes V and wants to spend the summer with her, but the fact that his grandfather wants him to be part of their legacy and believes in him means a lot.

MEANWHILE, IN THE LIFE OF BLAIR WALDORF …

Spurned by Yale, Blair eschews her traditional Waldorf life in favor of a more wild and unpredictable lifestyle, causing Serena and Chuck to have serious concerns about their friend.

Chuck is shocked and appalled to stop by her home and find her wearing some sexy attire … with Carter Baizen getting dressed. Chuck pleads with Blair to ditch this loser, but she’s bizarro Blair now, and seems to be enjoying this fling with Carter. She blows Chuck off.

He decides right then and there to get rid of Baizen, whatever it takes.

He’s having trouble getting dirt on Carter, though, until Serena tells him she’ll take care of it.

Serena basically blackmails Carter to leave town ASAP or she will dish on what happened between them in Santorini. Those details aren’t revealed to us, but her plan works and he hits the road – but not before he says that he’s just a symptom of Blair’s disease, not the cure. Getting rid of him won’t get them their friend back.

Meanwhile, Blair sneaks off again, destination unknown. Dorota caves and tells Chuck and Serena where she is.

They’re thinking it’s some crazy party, but it’s really the home of a dean of a small college, where Blair is begging for a chance at admission. He denies her because of the hazing incident, however, sending her spiraling even harder out of control.

Doubly embarrassed to be rejected from a lesser school AND caught in the act by Chuck and Serena, she vows that the Blair Waldorf everyone knows is officially dead.

The next day, Chuck learns that Blair is planning on attending Nate’s family reunion, and that’s when …

THE STORY LINES INTERTWINE …

Blair immediately starts making snarky comments to all the high-society New Yorkers at the mansion about how they’re alcoholics, gold diggers, etc. The heck with social tact – the new Blair Waldorf is going to burn every bridge and have fun doing it.

Chuck confronts her about her behavior and says it isn’t the real her. She asks if he remembers the first time he saw the real her, at Victrola.

B moves in close, starts kissing him and seductively tells him to take her now. Chuck won’t do it, though, saying she’s not the Blair he wants.

She never will be again, she says, and abruptly leaves.

Nate finds Blair off by herself, wondering how her life has gone so awry. He too is reeling from the expectations placed upon him, and clearly finds some level of comfort in being alone with his ex. He pours his heart out.

They confide in each other, as Nate reveals his own insecurities over who he has always felt he must become, as opposed to who he really is. He tells her that she is Blair Waldorf, and that will never change. They smile.

Back at the party, Nate’s grandfather introduces him proudly to the whole family, and Nate makes a little speech about how he’s excited to take the job and the mayor’s office. Sad V goes to the Humphreys and cries.

Later, Chuck tells Serena what happened between him and Blair. Serena tells Chuck to fight for Blair, to go after what he wants, to be the person she needs him to be. Emboldened by this pep talk, C heads off to B’s home.

In the foyer, he is greeted by Dorota, who says Blair is asleep. Chuck says to tell Blair he has something he needs to tell her. Dorota says she will, in the morning.

That’s when Chuck sees … Nate’s jacket by the stairs!

Up in Blair’s room, Nate was just making sure she got home okay, and was about to leave, but she takes his hand and tells him to stay …

I love Gossip Girl, but I think this Eyes Wide Shut storyline is the single stupidest thing the show has done, and Elle is the worst character ever. Please tell me she’s never coming back!
MICKEY: Never say never, H.C.! But it’s a pretty safe bet that Monday’s double-cross marks the narrative end of that Pretty Woman. In the meantime, remember when we asked how to fix Gossip Girl? Well, I have it on good authority that these final episodes will address two of our problems directly, which means some fun work coming up for both Blake Lively and Chace Crawford. Source: TV Guide

Gossip Girl – Latest from Kristin

Blair Waldorf is a big ol’ tramp!

How else would you explain the photos above: same girl, same outfit, same afternoon, same NYC street, sucking face with…two different costars?

As reported yesterday, Leighton Meester (Blair) shot a scene yesterday for Gossip Girl in front of the Sony building in Manhattan and was snapped by photogs kissing on again, off again love interest Ed Westwick (Chuck).

What we didn’t know is that she was also photographed smooching Chace Crawford (Nate), the ex-beau she is—spoiler alert!—cozying up to in the next episode of Gossip Girl.

So what is the real story? Is she really kissing both boys? I just checked in with sources and Gossip boss Josh Schwartz himself…

During an interview about Schwartz’s new Web-only series Rockville, which launched today right here (we’ll have much more scoop on that later), I asked him if the dual paparazzi photos of Blair kissing Chuck and Nate may have been a red herring to throw off fans.

“Hmmm,” he said after a long pause. “That would be a great idea!”

An inside source who works on the show tells me: “If she was in the same outfit it was probably to throw off the photogs. But she does kiss both [Nate and Chuck] at some point in the last couple of episodes.”

Yee!

Personally, I’d put good money on the Nate photo op being a rouse. (Which would also explain why Leighton seems to be laughing.)

So what can we expect from the Chuck-Blair-Nate love triangle as the season comes to an end? “That will be a big part of the storyline,” Schwartz tells me. “It’s graduation, so it’s all about what is the future for these characters and the show? Where’s everyone going to be next year? Chuck, Blair and Nate are obviously a big story we’re telling.”

Also on tap: “Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) returns, which is always fun,” Schwartz says. “She comes back very different from the last time you saw her.”

In the meantime, do you believe either of the photos above are a trick? And who are you hoping Blair ends up with this season?

New One Tree Hill Spoilers: ‘Searching for a Former Clarity’

3/23 New ‘Searching for a Former Clarity’

One Tree HillLucas and Julian hit a setback with the production of the film. Peyton and Haley help Mia (guest star Kate Voegele) with her new single. Brooke must intervene when Sam is arrested. Jamie discovers the truth about Dan and Uncle Keith.

I thought for sure Peyton was going to lose her baby last night on “One Tree Hill.” I don’t like this high risk pregnancy road they’re going down. Is Peyton going to die?
I don’t believe there are any plans to kill Peyton off. However, never say never as Hilarie Burton has still not signed on for next season, though The CW insists negotiations are ongoing… oh, how funny was Jamie delivering that “I’d rather watch ‘Gossip Girl,’ it’s so bad for me” line last night? In the first clip Mark Schwann previews “Searching for a Former Clarity,” calling it “big,”  “a throwback” and “soapy.” He hints at the direction that the Jamie storyline is going this week and, as usual, does his best to sell the episode without giving too much away.

Question: Please tell me the rumors aren’t true about Lynette and Carlos having an affair on Desperate Housewives.
Ausiello: First I’m hearing of that rumor. I mean, she will end up working for him. And he will accidentally see her naked. And he will kind of like what he sees. And she will be flattered by the attention. But an affair? Again, first I’m hearing of it.

Latest from Korbi

Though we’ve known for more than a month that Nicollette Sheridan will leave “Desperate Housewives” this season, the rumors about how her character Edie will depart Wisteria Lane were not officially confirmed. Until now…

Neal McDonough, who plays Edie’s sociopath husband Dave (he is determined to avenge the death of his former wife and daughter), told “Access Hollywood”‘s Billy Bush yesterday that he would indeed be the one to kill his current on-screen better half.

“It was hard for me,” he said to Bush. “Because Nic played my wife all year and she has become such a great friend.”

Fans following “Desperate Housewives” know that McDonough’s character is planning an ominous camping trip with Wisteria neighbors Mike Delfino (James Denton) — whom he holds responsible for his late family’s fate — and Delfino’s girlfriend Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany), which will play out this coming Sunday. But is it possible Edie may change her mind and crash the three-person wilderness party? Seems that way.

“I go hunting in the woods and I’m not hunting for deer,” McDonough admitted. “[It’s] a little WWE.”

However, don’t take the actor’s confession about Edie’s murder to mean that Mike Delfino and Katherine Mayfair are safe. McDonough also hinted that he may have more characters to off. “I’m not saying who I’m whacking.”

Latest from Ausiello – Nicollette Sheridan’s replacement?

The median age on Wisteria Lane is about to go through the roof.

Veteran character actress Gloria LeRoy is joining Desperate Housewives as a neighborhood fixture — presumably a longtime one — who we’ll first meet next month, right around the time Nicollette Sheridan takes her last breath as Edie.

But a Housewives insider insists the 77-year-old thesp, who’s probably best known for her scene-stealing work as Mildred “Boom-Boom” Turner on All in the Family, is not replacing Sheridan. Rather, my Wisterian mole teases, her character, Rose, “will figure into Edie’s exit in a surprising way” — one that involves an increasingly cuckoo Orson, a violent act, and a touch of dementia. And not necessarily in that order.

In other Housewives casting news, Sarah Knowlton (Medium, House) has been tapped to play a woman who may or may not be having an affair with Tom.

Question: What is up with this supposed marriage that will take place at the end of the season on Grey’s Anatomy? I’m assuming that a Meredith and Derek wedding would be too rushed.
    Ausiello:
You know what they say about people who assume: They make an a out of ss and ume. I hear Der will finally propose to Mer in the March 26 episode titled “Elevator Love Letter” (gee, I wonder where he pops the question?), so, assuming she accepts, that gives the happy couple about seven weeks to pull something together. That’s more than enough time, no?

Question: Enough with the endless Twitter plugs. We get it, you’re twittering. Let’s move on.
    Ausiello:
I’m a step ahead of you, Doug. This week’s AA contains nary a single shout-out to the T-word. I’ll be the first to admit I went a little overboard last week.

Question: This is my first time asking a question, so, for the sake of a newbie’s sanity, could you please give a good Grey’s Anatomy spoiler on Cristina/Owen?
    Ausiello:
Sorry, but the hazing section of the AA bylaws state that all virgin question-askers must be given an ugly, painful spoiler their first time out. With that in mind, remember me telling you that Owen’s PTSD would cause him to physically harm Cristina? Well, that little scratch last week wasn’t it. The violence I was referring to comes next week when Owen strangles the you-know-what out of her. Everyone join me in congratulating Sasha on getting her first AA question answered! You’re now eligible to join the AA frequent question-asker club. Click here for details on how you can earn points towards free hotel stays, a Macy’s shopping spree, complimentary upgrades on flights, and much, much more!

Question: How long will Izzie’s condition remain a secret on Grey’s Anatomy?
    Ausiello:
Not long. Loose-lipped Cristina blabs all to Bailey and Alex right before she performs her first solo surgery. BTW, can anyone explain to me why on earth Izzie chose to confide in Cristina and not George? I mean, aside from the obvious: It would’ve required giving T.R. Knight something to do.

Exclusive: Grey’s Admits Sharon Lawrence as Izzie’s Mom

    Source: TV Guide

    Katherine Heigl, Sharon Lawrence

On the heels of Tyne Daly paying Seattle a visit as Derek’s mother, Grey’s Anatomy fans are about to meet another main character’s mom. Sharon Lawrence, who is best known for her run on NYPD Blue and who most recently played parent to Privileged‘s JoAnna Garcia, has been tapped to guest-star as Izzie’s mother, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. As Grey’s winds down its current season — and as Katherine Heigl‘s character, freshly diagnosed with metastatic melanoma, comes to terms with her mortality — Lawrence will appear in a late-April episode. Will ailing Izzie welcome her mother with open arms? Um, do you watch Grey’s Anatomy with any regularity? No, sources tell me that when Mama Stevens shows up at Seattle Grace, Izzie will be less than comforted by the unexpected visit.

Brothers & Sisters Spoilers: A Season Finale Engagement, but Who? Justin & Rebecca?

‘Brothers & Sisters’: Splits, spats & reconciliations

    Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

I remember you said while ago that Tom Skerritt would appear on “Brothers & Sisters” again soon? Did you make a mistake? Nope. The Walker patriarch shows up in flashbacks this Sunday actually. I believe Kitty’s currently confused psyche will bring them on. And yeah, these memories of her pops may be the straw that spurs that split between Robert and Kitty I’ve been telling you about.

If Robert and Kitty are getting divorced, does that mean Rob Lowe is leaving the show? Nah. I don’t know if R&K will even go through with the big D. My money’s on an eventual reconciliation

Sarah and Holly are working together again, but they’re getting along? How long will this last? There’s an Ojai Foods party this weekend. Holly will be there. The Walkers will be there. It’s a recipe for, well, you know, if you’ve ever seen an episode of the show.

Are Justin and Rebecca getting back together? Oh, big things for J&R on Sunday. Huge. I mean, Ryan will officially throw his hat into the Rebecca ring in a couple days, but his big brother will come out victorious this time.

Any dirt on Brothers & Sisters?
    Ausiello:
Jason Lewis returns this Sunday and makes Kevin and Scotty an offer they shouldn’t, but probably will, refuse. (I’m talkin’ ’bout a threesome.) Speaking of long lost loves returning, Roger shows up at Nora’s door and drops a D-bomb, and Tommy delivers some news to Julia that could upset the balance of the Walker clan. Is there any hope for the future with Justin and Rebecca on Brothers & Sisters? There is hope! In fact, I’m hearing Justin will be down on one knee in front of his entire family before the Brothers & Sisters season finale, but could Rebecca already be on a Silver-esque downward spiral? We’ll have to wait until next season to find out. Meanwhile, any guesses on which B&S couple nearly engages in a ménage à trois? Source: Kristin on E!Online

    Balthazar Getty, Brothers and Sisters

I’m reading some weird stuff about Tommy joining a cult on Brothers & Sisters. Is it true? Despite what our frenemy is reporting and what Nora Walker (Sally Field) thinks, Tommy does not join a cult. Instead he’s doing something very Sayid-ish down in Mexico, minus the houses.
