Grey’s Anatomy (May 14, ABC)
Series creator Shonda Rhimes reportedly told her cast that “life-changing things” are in store for every major Seattle Gracer. Now, Shonda being Shonda, details are scarce. What we do know is that the two-hour finale’s guest-star roster includes Debra Mooney (Everwood) and Liza Weil (Gilmore Girls), respectively playing Owen’s mother and a cancer patient who bonds with Izzie. Among the twists you can count on are a reveal that paves the way for T.R. Knight’s possible exit, and a surprising declaration from one of the interns. Source: TV Guide Online

Thursday, May 14 will be the two-hour finale event of “Grey’s Anatomy“. After spending time with a fellow cancer patient, Izzie contemplates whether or not to move forward with a risky surgery, and George delivers some stunning news that sends shockwaves through the hospital. In the first part “Here’s to Future Days” that airs 9/8c, Izzie spends time with a fellow cancer patient and contemplates whether or not to undergo a risky surgery, as Mark is ready to take his relationship with Lexie to the next level and a patient makes Owen reassess his place at Seattle Grace.
Airing right after that at 10/9c is “Now or Never”. George delivers stunning news to Bailey, sending shockwaves throughout the hospital, and Izzie’s friends anxiously await her recovery from surgery. Meanwhile Bailey is surprisingly displeased after being accepted into the pediatric fellowship program, and the victim of a near-fatal traffic accident brings the talents of Seattle Grace’s doctors together. As of what to be expected from the finale before it returns for a sixth season, Chandra Wilson shared to E! Online, ” …we do ultimately find out what (happens with) George -he does make a big decision in that episode. Izzie has a lot of medical (issues) in that episode. And then we have our normal ER catastrophe that goes on. It’s got to be something bad going on where all the doctors have to assemble. That much I know.”
So much is happening in this year’s finale of Grey’s Anatomy. Meredith and Derek are possibly getting married, George has a huge decision to make and Izzie’s close to kicking the bucket. On top of all that, Chandra Wilson says there’s a catastrophe in the hospital that brings all the doctors together. Could this season finale be any more action-packed? ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ 100th Episode Preview: The Mer-Der Wedding
On May 7, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ presents the wedding of Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd which is organized by bed-ridden Izzie.
Source: Ace Showbiz TV News
The wedding day has arrived. In the 100th episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” which is written by executive producer Shonda Rhimes, Meredith finally walks down the isle to say her vow to Derek. However, as they prepare for the wedding a car crash happens. A group of college students, injured in a car crash as they were heading to their graduation ceremony, is admitted to the ER. Meanwhile, Izzie fears the worst when she begins experiencing familiar symptoms. The episode called “What a Difference a Day Makes” airs May 7. Meanwhile, a website has been created for the fictional wedding. Rhimes had the idea of making the website created by Izzie who is the wedding planner. “I said, ‘It should feel like a real wedding Web site,'” said Rhimes. In the latest blog entry, Alex Karev wrote on behalf of Izzie, saying “Izzie’s in surgery right now, but I know she would want me to update this blog of hers and let you know that we have decided on the shrimp for the wedding. Thanks to MY taste buds, of course. Izzie said you all would be clamoring for this info, so… there you have it.”
As Grey’s Marks 100 Episodes, Is an End Date Near?
Source: TV Guide Online
Although ABC’s Lost, which just last week marked its own 100th episode, is zeroing in on a May 2010 series finale, don’t expect Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes to make like “Team Darlton” and handcuff herself to her own finish line. “I have no end story or date in mind at all,” Rhimes tells the Hollywood Reporter. “I just want us to tell stories as long as we feel it’s relevant.” This Thursday, Grey’s Anatomy celebrates the “century” mark with what is intended to be the wedding of longtime lovebirds Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd. The odds of that anticipated union going off without a hitch, however, are slim. Where does Rhimes see her doctors-in-love serial heading? Although she at one time “knew exactly how the show was going to end,” she now finds the personal and professional adventures of Mer, Der, Cristina et al heading to “a different place than I’d ever expected at the beginning.” “We’re essentially working without a map,” she admits, “and have been for a little while now.” So, fellow Grey’s fans, since the world seems to be our oyster, what would you like to see happen in the halls of Seattle Grace? Who do you want to see together? Who do you want apart? What sort of non-ghost/hallucination stories would you like to see told?

Meredith and Thatcher don’t exactly resolve their issues. She, will, however reach a new understanding with the Chief. She even gives him a gift. A pretty major gift. A gift I have a hunch will play a big role next season. (Michael Ausiello)
Not only will Jessica Capshaw be back, she’s finalizing a deal to become a full-fledged series regular. (Michael Ausiello)
Sharon Lawrence makes her debut as Izzie’s mother this week, and according to Izzie’s mother’s psychic, Izzie is going to be just fine. You will be shocked to learn Izzie’s mother’s psychic is not reliable, and in point of fact, Izzie’s cancer is getting worse, not better. (Watch With Kristin)
Lexie (Chyler Leigh) is relatively happy to see her dad, but Meredith doesn’t take Thatcher’s return particularly well. In fact, Mer actually comes within inches of being fired—like midway through cleaning out your locker fired. (Watch With Kristin)

[From an email sent to Kristin:] “One of my coworkers was in Los Angeles on business, and when I called her and told her about Grey‘s filming the wedding scene, she freaked and found the set. She was there for the lunch break (she said there were two or three paps there too) but she said later Katherine Heigl was standing in the doorway with T.R. Knight , and she was smoking in a wedding dress. She had a big jacket/robe thing over it, but she said there was no doubt it was a wedding dress. She said Katherine was only in the doorway a minute or two before they called her back in, but she has no doubt that it was a wedding dress.” Source: Kristin on E!Online
Deceased Denny Re-Appears on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Again
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ creator Shonda Rhimes confirms that there will be another appearance by Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character in a future episode this season.
Source: Ace Showbiz TV News
When Denny Duquette spooked and confused the audience of “Grey’s Anatomy” earlier this season, it won’t be the last time. He will appear again most probably on the 100th episode that airs next week (May 7), according to E! Online. Denny died on the second season and re-appeared through Izzie’s mind in the beginning of the fifth season when she began falling out of her cancer. His appearance in the future episode is not addressed further but creator Shonda Rhimes said, “Just a reminder: He’s not a ghost, and we should all remember what his appearance means.” Denny’s re-appearance is somewhat expected for during the 100th episode celebration on the set of “Grey’s Anatomy” there photographed Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays the character Denny. Additionally, on the official synopsis of the 100th episode, it is said that Izzie will experience “familiar symptoms”.
“GA” creator Rhimes spoke with USA Today, confirming the news and adding a warning: “Just a reminder, he’s not a ghost and we should all remember what his appearance means.” Yeah, that the chemo ain’t helping Izzie.

It is now an official word that Denny Duquette will be back one more time on “Grey’s Anatomy” and the last time it will be. Coming to give the confirmation himself is the actor who plays the deceased character, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. “I can confirm that I will be coming back one more time,” he said. The actor attended the premiere of “Star Trek” in Los Angeles, and made time to answer the question from EW. “I think it will be done after that,” he continued. “I think I have been on the Grey’s Anatomy set for the last time.” He teased further that Denny has a reason to show up and it’s “probably tied to Izzie’s health.” Previously creator Shonda Rhimes also had suggested that Denny is back for one more occasion. She said, “Just a reminder: He’s not a ghost, and we should all remember what his appearance means.” She however, would not specify which episode she was talking about. EW however, claimed that Denny’s appearance will be on the 100th episode which is airing on Thursday, May 7. In the official synopsis for the episode called “What a Difference a Day Makes”, Izzie fears the worst when she begins experiencing familiar symptoms.

At last night’s Big Bang Theory event at PaleyFest ’09, leading lady Kaley Cuoco revealed to EW exclusively that she’s Seattle Grace-bound. “I am working on Grey’s Anatomy next week,” she confirmed. “It is a big ol’ secret. I have no clue what I am doing. I swear on my life that I have no idea what I am playing because it is the finale and they are keeping it under wraps until the last possible moment.” Source: The Ausiello Files
Chandra Wilson said, “In [the finale], we do ultimately find out what [happens with] George (T.R. Knight)—he does make a big decision in that episode. Chandra Wilson says Bailey continues with pediatric surgery despite the ramifications it has for her marriage. “Everything that I’m doing right now is still working with the kids; it’s still trying to potentially go into that fellowship. I do know that my husband is not happy about that—about spending two more years doing the same kind of hours. But when you get a calling, sometimes you have to do your calling.” (Watch With Kristin)

Do you have any news on when Cristina and Owen will reunite on Grey’s Anatomy?
Unfortunately not anytime soon. Owen doesn’t have time for Cristina anymore (what with his newfound interest in turning George into a trauma surgeon). Actually, to be more specific, Owen’s therapist doesn’t let Owen have time for her. Yep, Owen’s shrink has given him a specific list of three-word sentences he can say to Yang, but “I love you” is definitely not one of them. Either way, Cristina is not a happy camper.
Please tell me more about Meredith and Derek on Grey’s Anatomy!
Thatcher Grey is not in the hospital because his oldest daughter is getting married. He wants to make amends: He’s been sober, and he’s working on his steps.
How’s Izzie doing on Grey’s Anatomy?
As it turns out, cancer is really, really painful. Sigh. Poor Izz.
Please give us something about Callie and Arizona on Grey’s Anatomy. They have had such little airtime, and we want to know about their relationship. Please tell me there is more to come from this cute, new couple.
Arizona meets Callie’s dad in Thursday’s episode, and he doesn’t take the news of their relationship terribly well. In fact, when Callie’s dad tries to get her to move home and she refuses, he cuts off her trust fund.
Got any more Grey’s Anatomy scoop?
Yes, and it comes from Kellie Martin of ER and Life Goes On fame. Kelly pops up on the small screen in May on both Ghost Whisperer and Grey’s Anatomy. “On Ghost Whisperer, I play a director of a soap opera, and I’m being haunted,” Kellie tells us. “And on Grey’s, all I can say is that I don’t play a patient, and I don’t play a doctor. We have to respect the Grey’s cone of silence. They’re very secretive. It’s not integral to the crazy rumors going around right now, though.”
‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Couples scoop, plus more screentime for O’Malley
Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV
Any scoop on Arizona/Callie? They’re my new favorite couple! When Callie’s father finds out about his daughter’s relationship with another woman, he doesn’t take it well. At all. In fact he cuts her off, both monetarily and emotionally. She’s devastated and considers telling her family that she ended things with Arizona just to get back on their good side.
Will we be seeing more George? I miss him.
We’ll be seeing a lot more George in the next couple episodes. In fact, I’m pretty sure there’s more George screen time in the next two episodes than we’ve had all season. And he’s back to being the O’Malley we used to know: a kick ass surgeon. So that’s cool.
Are Owen and Cristina going to make up any time soon?
Not exactly. Their relationship is in a two-steps-back, one-step-forward type stage. But Owen does tell Cristina — in his own way — just how strongly he feels about her in next Thursday’s ep …right before he puts up another wall.
Do you have any non-relationship or Izzie’s-dying-from-cancer scoop?
In an upcoming episode, Meredith will cross a line with a patient, which could threaten her job at Seattle Grace. Yep, the Chief says he’ll fire her if she doesn’t stay away from this particular case.
Just how long are Mark and Derek going to be fighting? Not forever. But things do get bad enough between them that Derek tells Meredith that he wants Richard to be his best man. Of course that goes over real well. I mean, what girl doesn’t want the dude that had an affair with her mother standing next to her husband-to-be on her wedding day? Meredith actually tells Derek that if he invites Richard, she won’t walk down the aisle.
So how insane is Izzie going to get with planning the MerDer wedding?
Really insane. Remember a couple seasons back when Izzie decorated Meredith’s house with Christmas stuff to get her mind off Alex’s infidelity? Yeah, well this time she’s dealing with cancer. And she will use her illness to get a lot of the things she wants/needs. It’s working for her. I mean, she guilts Mer into trying on a lot of wedding dresses. Plus, she fools several people into thinking she’s sicker than she is, so they’ll come to her.

[Via Twitter, Ausiello reveals that] Izzie did [something funny] to Cristina.
Question: Please tell me there’s some good stuff for the amazingly talented Sandra Oh and Kevin McKidd in the next two episodes of Greys.
Ausiello: This Thursday’s ep? Not so much. Next Thursday’s ep? Hell yes!
Ausiello: These next two episodes are as solid as any I’ve seen this season. Most of my favorite moments involved Katherine Heigl, who as I Tweeted earlier today, is doing her best work since season 2.
Question: Give me some good Alex-Izzie scoop!
Ausiello: Izzie’s trashtastic mother (played by Sharon Lawrence) makes a memorable entrance on 4/30. (Hint: It involves a case of mistaken identity with her potential son-in-law).
Question: Izzie! Grey’s! Scoop!
Ausiello: She’s cancer free by the second ep… or so someone close to her is led to believe.
Question: Any scoop on my favorite Grey’s character, Lexie?
Ausiello: Shonda Rhimes found a fun way to work in Chyler Leigh’s sudden plus-sizedness (the actress is pregnant in real life) — and it involves the feud between Mark and Derek.
Question: Please bless me with some Mark and Lexie scoop! Are these two getting some screen time in the episodes leading up to the finale?
Ausiello: There’s some kissing, hand holding, and a dinner date with dad. (In other words, yes!)
Question: Any good T.R. Knight stuff coming up? –
Ausiello: George and Alex have a huge blowup over Izzie. And before the scene ends, glass is shattered, blood is shed, and someone suffers a near-fatal fall.
Question: Please, can you give us something juicy on the best couple, Meredith and Derek?
Ausiello: Okay, here’s something: A longtime Grey’s duo are about to break up — presumably for good — and it’s not Derek and Meredith. Nope. It’s Bailey and Tucker! In the May 14 season finale, Bailey takes the bold step of leaving her husband after he once again fails to support her career.
Question: Can you tell us how much time has lapsed between the elevator proposal episode of Grey’s and the episode that airs this week?
Ausiello: A few days, I believe. It’s not long at all.
Question: Any scoop on the anticipated Thatcher return on Grey’s next week? I’m hoping for some overdue Meredith and Lexie scenes!
Ausiello: Two of my favorite Mer-Lexie scenes ever take place in next week’s episode, but it’s more a result of the thorny Derek-Mark situation than Thatcher’s return.
Question: Any insight on what is going to happen with Mer-Der now that Ellen Pompeo is preggers in real life?
Ausiello: If you’re asking me whether there’s a McBaby in their future, I don’t know. I can tell you that if Pompeo takes the standard two-month maternity leave following the birth of her first child this fall, Grey’s could be Mer-less for a portion of next season. Maybe they’ll send her to some really long medical convention. Or dispatch her to the parking lot to look for Dr. Hahn. The possibilities are endless!
Question: Will Jeffrey Dean Morgan be appearing in Grey’s Anatomy’s 100th episode?
Ausiello: Let’s examine the evidence, shall we? Exhibit A: Morgan appeared in the 100th ep photo-op, which took place on the Grey’s set during filming of the said 100th episode. Exhibit B: The official logline for the landmark ep says, “Izzie fears the worst when she begins experiencing familiar symptoms.” Exhibit C: I have to warn you that this one’s really spoilery, but I’m hearing … wait, what’s that? The jury of Ausholes has already reached a unanimous verdict? Eh, so much for my Exhibit C. It was really good, too.
