Grey’s Anatomy – Latest from TV Guide – 28th Jan 2010

What’s coming up for Bailey on Grey’s Anatomy? Chandra Wilson will be directing again — not so coincidentally, it’s the episode where Bailey’s fling with the new boy-toy anesthesiologist (Eli Stone’s Jason George) heats up. We hear the episode is steamy, with lots of romance and kissing scenes. Anyone else think Mr. George should be ready to do plenty of takes?

Grey’s Anatomy – See Who Changed Her Hair Color

Despite the fact that her cutie character April was fired earlier this season, Sarah Drew is back on Grey’s Anatomy for the Feb. 11 episode, “Valentine’s Day Massacre.” You can see her for yourself right here, along with a new pic of Chyler Leigh’s Lexie with a shocking new dye job. So what is April doing back on the show? Well, insiders whisper to us that her appearance is not a flashback, and our crack photo team zoomed in and the label on her white coat definitely reads Seattle Grace Mercy West, so…What’s your best guess?

Grey’s Anatomy – Latest from TV Guide Magazine – 11th Jan 2010

Following Grey’s Anatomy’s holidaylicious all-inclusive Thanksgiving/Christmas/ New Years episode extravaganza, the ABC drama’s staying in the holiday spirit with its first-ever Valentine’s Day episode, which will find Derek and Owen plotting to take their sweethearts out for a double date. Just one problem. “Meredith is not a Valentine’s Day girl, and neither is Cristina,” reminds show creator Shonda Rhimes, “so the guys will try to force them to enjoy the holiday.”
Singling out Callie and Arizona as the only couple celebrating V-Day in a healthy way, Rhimes says Calzona, “go out on a date and exchange gifts at four o’clock because they know they’ll be in the ER in the evening,” then play cupid for Bailey and a smokin’ anesthesiologist named Ben Warren (Jason George), whom Rhimes says will give Bailey “a little bit of lovin’”.
But despite fans’ pleas, there’s still no lovin’ on the horizon for popular new doc, Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams). “I think he’s adorable, but he’s not ready for that,” says Rhimes. “There’s a lovely sense of the audience not knowing where he’s going to land, and I’d like to keep it that way for awhile.”
As for Izzie-less Alex, Rhimes hints he’ll “find his own way to amuse himself quite adequately on Valentine’s Day.” (And by ‘amuse himself’, you should know that another person will be involved.)
Is it just me, or are we intentionally supposed to be hating on cold-hearted cancer survivor Izzie Stevens this season to lessen the impact of Katherine Heigl’s anticipated departure from the series?
Quick to defend Iz, Rhimes explains, “As writers, we’ve had to be creative with having Katie for such a limited time.” Juggling a packed movie schedule and new motherhood, Katie next visits on Jan. 21, but even Rhimes isn’t sure when (or if) she’ll be back full time. “Maternity leave is maternity leave, and it’s a choice I fully support,” maintains Rhimes. “We’re just working on figuring out what that means.” So are we.

Grey’s Anatomy – Episode 6.15 – The Time Warp – Promotional Photos

GREY’S ANATOMY – “The Time Warp” – In his new role as Chief, Derek restores the hospital lecture series, and Richard, Bailey and Callie present to the group pivotal surgical cases from their pasts – Bailey reflects on her first days as a shy resident, Callie looks back on a polio case, and Richard recalls a case in which he and Ellis worked on a patient diagnosed with GRID, a virus later called AIDS — on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Grey’s Anatomy – Casting News from EW – 20th Jan 2010

Granted, I’m using the word recast loosely here, but Grey’s Anatomy has tapped Angel’s J. August Richards and Cupid’s Sarah Paulson to play younger, circa ‘82 versions of Richard and Ellis in the Feb. 18 episode.
The flashback-heavy hour, appropriately titled “Time Warp,” will shed light on the beginnings of the affair between the Chief and Mer’s mom.
In separate sequences, we’ll see Bailey in her pre-”Nazi” days, and Callie shortly before she was introduced on the show.
But back to Richards and Paulson, their resemblance to James Pickens Jr. and Kate Burton is pretty uncanny, no? Paulson and Burton, in particular, look like they were cut from the same family tree.
Source: EW

Grey’s Anatomy: Episode 15 of Grey’s Anatomy this season features a flashback to the romance between Chief Webber and Meredith’s late mother Ellis Grey, and the series is now casting for younger versions of James Pickens Jr. and Kate Burton.
Hmmm…although the story for this episode is most likely about the roots of Chief’s alcoholism, this casting development doesn’t do much to debunk rumors that the Hotness Monster is Ellis and Richard’s secret love child. (Who is the Hotness Monster? That’s Jesse Williams, who plays Mercy Wester Dr. Jackson Avery on Grey’s Anatomy but got his fan nickname—say it like Loch Ness Monster—during a stint on ABC Family’s Greek.)
Fans have long wondered if Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) daddy issues with Chief were strictly psychological or if there was a genetic component to the relationship, but attention on the long-lost baby front has now shifted to young Dr. Avery. What’s your take on this tantalizing fan speculation?Source : Watch with Kristin

Grey’s Anatomy – Latest from TV Guide Magazine – 1st Feb 2010

An upcoming episode of Grey’s Anatomy will introduce Jackson’s ailing grandpa, Harper Avery, played by Chelcie Ross—the guy who taunted Mad Men’s Don Draper as Connie Hilton. Turns out he’s the namesake of the Avery Award bestowed on Meredith’s mom, Ellis. This will help form a bond between Jackson and Mer. Will the show grant fans’ wish to have Jackson reveal he’s the secret love child of Ellis and the Chief? “It’s not relevant,” says exec producer Betsy Beers, and “not on anyone’s brain.”

Kim Raver Spills the Beans on Teddy and Owen

“Yes, yes and yes!”
This is how Kim Raver answered a certain burning question regarding her romantic status on Grey’s Anatomy, but then promptly cut herself off.
“Wait, hold on! Was I supposed to say that? Let me check my notes!” she said with a laugh. (You gotta love the candor.)
I just got off the phone with the always charming Kim—who was just upped to series regular status, hurrah!—and she dished on what’s next for Teddy and even answered your fan questions directly.
So what was she (possibly) not supposed to say?

Desperate Housewives – Dana Delany Moves to Castle for 2 Episodes

Kinky ABC has OK’d a kind of “wife swap,” lending out Desperate Housewives‘ Dana Delany to Castle for two episodes, sources confirm to me exclusively.
But Delany won’t be playing Katherine Mayfair, she’ll be playing Federal Agent Jordan Shaw.
Why this almost unprecedented move? Try ulterior motives. The network likely is hoping that Delany’s presence will draw more eyeballs to Castle, particularly since her first episode will air on Sunday, March 21 at 10 pm/ET following — duh — Housewives. (Brothers & Sisters has the week off.) The Emmy winner’s second Castle, which reunites her with her Desperate ex, Nathan Fillion, will air in the series’ regular Monday-at-10 timeslot on March 22.
Source: EW

Castle – Casting News

Desperate Housewives‘ Dana Delany will have some backup when she crosses over to Castle later this season.
Ex-Heroes star Leonard Roberts has been cast as the partner of Delany’s kick-ass federal agent character, sources confirm to me exclusively.
In the two-part episode, the first of which is conveniently scheduled to air after immediately following Housewives on March 21, the feds (a.k.a. Delany and Roberts) are brought in to assist Castle and Beckett on a serial killer case. The conclusion airs the following night in Castle’s regular Monday-at-10 timeslot.
In related news, ABC — no doubt encouraged by Castle’s season-high ratings on Monday — just increased the show’s episode order from 22 to 24.
It’s official: This thing’s a hit!
