  • George has planned a special date with Anne at a nice restaurant, but he balks at the expensive prices.  But they’re not going to get the date anyway, as Anne has to cancel because she has to go see Mimsy, who’s sick. First, though, Anne will have to find George, who’s not answering his phone; she asks Ashley for help.
  • “Chicken Little”
  • Two couples go on a double date: Griffin and a new guy, Peter; and Grace and Grant.  (Yes, this means Grant and Ashley have split up.)  Grace arranged for Griffin and Peter to go out, but things become awkward when Peter says he isn’t gay. But before the night’s over, Peter makes a confession.  We’ll also meet Peter’s dad, and learn something surprising about Peter’s parents.
  • There’s a guy living in the Bowman guest house.  (Our best guess — and it’s only a guess — is that it’s Jack.)

“My Girlfriend’s Back”

  • There’s a party at Ben’s house. Ashley attends reluctantly.  Griffin’s surprised Ashley is speaking to him. He has bigger problems, though, as Peter attends the party — with Haylie, a girl who appears more interested in Ben than anyone else. Later, Griffin has a sleepover with two people.
  • Ben’s mad at Henry and Alice for pregnancy related reasons.  Ben hopes to speak to Amy soon, as she wants to speak to him face to face upon returning home.  But when the long-awaited event finally happens, Ben’s surprised by what Amy tells him.
  • Grace stays up til 4 in the morning with a boy (Grant?) in her room.  They talk and make out.

“Lady Liberty”

  • Amy’s still in New York.  She talks to Madison on the phone; then, her 2 New York friends want her to go out to a club where everyone dresses in their pajamas.  One of Amy’s friends uses Amy’s phone to send Ricky a picture of Amy at the club.  Ricky responds to the picture by sleeping with a new girl.  Oh, and it’s Amy’s birthday, but will her friends or family or (especially) Ricky remember?
  • Ben was fired for attacking Ricky.  Why did Ben attack Ricky? Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Ricky and Amy are considering becoming a couple.  Ben and Adrian consider faking an engagement to make Ricky and Amy jealous.
  • Dr. Fields and Leo meet up at a restaurant.

General Season 3 Spoilers

  • Depending on how you look at it, this summer’s episodes can be considered either season 5 or the first half of season 3.
  • We’re getting 13 episodes this summer; The summer episodes should run from June 7 to August 30.  Then, probably in January-March 2011, we’ll get another 12 episodes.
  • Steve Schirripa (Ben’s dad Leo) is now a series regular.
  • Emmy award winner Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) guest stars.  Other guest stars include Joel Murray (Mad Men; Dharma & Greg); Shoshana Bush (Dance Flick); Maiara Walsh (Desperate Housewives); and Bristol Palin playing herself, when she and Amy both attend a music program for teen moms.
  • Ben and Amy will be reconnecting — and by “reconnecting” we mean they’ll be kissing again and Amy will reconsider starting something new with Ben. Amy will admit her love for Ricky, but just what does she mean by that?

Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario says Tuesday’s finale will finally reveal who “A” is — the mysterious person who threatens to release a group of girls’ darkest secrets.

PHOTOS: Teen Choice Awards style stars

“One of the pretty little liars finds out,” teases 24-year-old Bellisario, who plays Spencer. “We can’t tell you when or how or whom that happens to, but it’s pretty exciting.”

PHOTOS: Rate Lucy’s outfit!

The Pretty Little Liars are a clique of four popular high school girls who break up their friendship after their fifth member, Allison, is found dead. They suddenly begin receiving mysterious text messages from somebody who refers to herself as “A,” leading some of the girls to believe she didn’t die.

Co-star Lucy Hale, 21, who plays Aria on the ABC Family drama, tells UsMagazine.com: “I want to know. Even I don’t know who it is!”

Ashley Benson, who plays queen bee Hanna, promises viewers won’t be let down.

“I read the eighth book, but only the last chapter because I wanted to know who ‘A’ was,” she tells Us. “We’re staying very close to the books. Everyone who has read the books has been very pleased with them.”

The stars promise even more drama when the show’s final 12 episodes begin airing this September.

“They get blackmailed by someone that can possibly be their dead best friend. You can never fully rest, and so that’s what’s so great about it,” says Bellisario.

I hate to admit it, but I kind of dug Pretty Little Liars. I’m worried about the central mystery dragging on forever, though. Please put my mind at ease.
Ausiello:
I’ll let the show’s star Lucy Hale do the honors instead. “By the end of the first season, viewers will find out what happened to our friend and who is threatening us,” she reveals. “And there are a bunch of twists and turns that would take us into season 2 — should we be so lucky.”

Pretty Little Liars – Episode 1.02 – The Jenna Thing – Plot Details

-there really isn’t as much of a focus on aria/lucy. so to everyone who was all upset about her being THE MAIN CHARACTER, y’all can back off.
-lots of spencer’s family and back story stuff. i thought she was pretty decent in the pilot, but i can definitely see what everyone seems to dislike her. they do explain a lot about why she is the way she is, though.
-not enough wren. he and spencer do kiss, though. moving that plot along way too fast in my opinion, but whatever.
-maya/emily are considerably less awkward.
-emily’s boyfriend is a jerk
-emily and boyfriend make out. in a car. basically emily grabs him and kiss-attacks him, trying to convince herself she’s straight.
-oh and maya moves into emily’s bedroom. i kinda skimmed that part but i think it had something to do with all the construction on maya’s house? IDK
-aria and ezra make out in his car
-aw aria/byron had a sweet moment
-A’s end-of-the-episode text to aria: “When students kiss teachers, someone gets HURT. That’s a promise I’ll keep.” – A

Pretty Little Liars – 12 Additional Episodes Ordered

ABC FAMILY ORDERS ADDITIONAL EPISODES OF “PRETTY LITTLE LIARS”

The Original One-Hour Scripted Drama, Which Launched as the Highest-Rated
Original Series Debut in the Network’s History in Early June, Continues to Grow
In Ratings Throughout Its First Three Episodes

Burbank, CA (June 28, 2010) – ABC Family has ordered 12 additional episodes of the network’s hit one-hour series, “Pretty Little Liars,” announced Kate Juergens, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Development. The order will bring the show’s first season to a total of 22 episodes.

“‘Pretty Little Liars’ is a break-out hit for the network,” said Juergens. “We’re thrilled that our Millennial viewers have responded so strongly to the show. It’s a perfect fit with the network’s strong slate of original scripted dramas, including ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’ and ‘Make It or Break It.’”

One of cable’s biggest breakout hits of summer, “Pretty Little Liars” launched as ABC Family’s No. 1 series debut ever in Adults 18-34 (837,000), Women 18-34 (657,000), Viewers 12-34 (1.7 million), Females 12-34 (1.5 million), Teens (904,000) and Female Teens (853,000). “Pretty Little Liars” posted its most-watched episode yet last week (June 22) in Total Viewers (2.7 million), and delivered series highs in key targets, including core 18-49, 18-34 and 12-34 demos. Three episodes in, “Pretty Little Liars” is already Tuesday’s No. 1 TV program in Females Teens (803,000) and Tuesday’s No. 1 cable program in Teens (883,000), Viewers 12-34 (1.7 million) and Females 12-34 (1.5 million). It is easily the top cable program in Tuesday’s 8 o’clock hour among core 18-49, 18-34, 12-34 demos, Teens and Female Teens, besting runner-up USA by 43% in Adults 18-49 (1.2 million vs. 837,000) and by 90% in Adults 18-34 (843,000 vs. 444,000).

Based on the bestselling Harper Teen novels by Sara Shepard and produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television, the scripted hour-long series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Holly Marie Combs, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Bianca Lawson, Laura Leighton, Chad Lowe, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse.

Set one year after the disappearance of Alison (Pieterse), the manipulative and vindictive queen bee of the group, the series revolves around four 16-year-old girlfriends — Aria (Hale), Spencer (Bellisario), Hanna (Benson), and Emily (Mitchell) — who have lost touch with one another until each begins to receive mysterious messages suggesting that Alison is watching them. Linked by their former bond and the panic and confusion the enigmatic messages cause, the friends are suddenly reunited, though each girl has her own secrets – secrets she wants no one else to know.

“Pretty Little Liars” is executive-produced by I. Marlene King (“Just My Luck,” “If These Walls Could Talk”), Oliver Goldstick (“Lipstick Jungle,” “Ugly Betty”) and Leslie Morgenstein (“Gossip Girl,” “The Vampire Diaries”).

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale: ‘It’s not the end’ of Aria and Mr. Fitz

Mr. Fitz (Ian Harding) and Aria have parted ways on “Pretty Little Liars,” but Zap2it caught up with “Liars” star Lucy Hale at the KTLA News Morning Show, where she laid the Mr. Fitz fears to rest.

“It’s not the end of the Fitz and Montgomery relationship,” Hale assures us. “There’s a little question about where he’s gone, is he gone for good? Because in the books he goes away and when he goes away, he goes away for good … but it’s not the end of it.”

It’s good to hear that Mr. Fitz will be back because Aria’s home life isn’t getting an easier.

“[The Montgomery family] is pretty much broken at this point … Everyone expected my dad to leave, but my mom goes away,” Hale says. “I’m trying to spend time with my dad, with my mom and take care of my brother and try to keep a sane head for myself.”

But the Tuesday (July 27) episode of “Liars” is not focusing much on Mr. Fitz or the Montgomery family. Instead, Alison’s memorial is front and center — and the introduction of Ali’s brother Jason (Parker Bagley).

“It’s supposed to be a happy day, remembering our memories and remembering her,” says Hale. “But her brother comes and is a completely different person from what we remember him as … He takes the whole memorial by the reins. There’s a lot of great stuff between him and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) that is sort-of a little questionable.”

Hale also teases the return of Officer Wilden (Bryce Johnson), who is giving hard looks at the girls, “especially Emily.” “He doesn’t let us get off very easily. He’s back with a force,” Hale tells us.

And in response to fan Biankha‘s question, Hale says her favorite episode is “the Homecoming episode.”

“I loved the outfits and I loved the set. We don’t always get to come together, the whole cast, because we have our own separate storylines,” Hale explains. “In this one, literally probably every character was in that episode so that was really fun for me.”

“Pretty Little Liars” airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
