One Tree Hill — which famously leaped ahead four years at the start of season 5 — is mulling another flash forward at the onset of season 7 this fall. But this one’s not nearly as drastic; a OTH source says the action would likely pick up just one year later. Source: The Ausiello Files

Nichols spilled that Brooke comes into L.A. just to tell Julian that she loves her. Bush added that complications are still entailing the relationship although it may seem to be a happy ending. In fact, the scene that Bush and Nichols have shot will be included in the September 14 premiere. It pays a homage to movie classic “From Here to Eternity” where two lovebirds lie on the beach sand and make out whilst the waves sweep them over. The other featurette which is released is Robert Buckley’s first day of work. Creator Mark Schwahn gives an introduction into the actor and his character as Nathan’s new sports agent. “One down. Emotionally crippled, physically exhausted. I got a lot of grief from Mark Schwahn and the rest of the crew,” Buckley admitted after shooting. There is additionally a glimpse of Shantel VanSanten who will play Haley’s sister in the series.

I really need some One Tree Hill scoop! Please tell me that Naley won’t have more relationship problems…They’re now the rocks of the show!Sorry, Naley fans. One Tree Hill season seven starts off rocky for Haley and Nathan with a major sex and pregnancy scandal.
Korbi Ghosh from Zap2it got talk with one of the new girls, Shantel VanSanten who will be appearing on the upcoming 7th season of CW’s “One Tree Hill” as Haley’s sister who is a photographer. Shantel spoke a bit about how her and Haley’s relationship will be on the show.
She said, “yes, I play Haley’s older sister. I’m a photographer. And I think we both have that artistic side. Her being a singer, we have that same mentality in common and I think we’ve always been close for that reason.
But I got married when I was younger, so I have a whole other relationship and whole other life. I come back to Tree Hill just like a lot of people go home to kind of figure life out. And I think that Haley becomes my best friend, the person that I would call about everything.”
She then commented on how her character will allow us to see a different side of Haley that we’ve never seen before. She stated,“Yeah, I think that it’s fun to bring Haley’s sister in, because you end up seeing a different side of Haley.
You know what I mean? You’ll see different things you maybe wouldn’t have seen before because her sister’s around and there’s that sister bond and you tell each other secrets and expose things you wouldn’t have otherwise.
Me and my own sister are so close and Joy talked to me about it, she wanted to know what my relationship with her was like and we discussed little ticks that sisters have and it’s really been awesome. She’s awesome to work with.”
Next, Shantel shares how she arrives in town, and what her reasons are for coming. She said, ”I come for Jamie’s birthday. But I think when you’re in your 20s, you go through stuff. Is my life going in the right direction? Am I doing the right thing? Is this what I want for the rest of my life, with everything, you question your job, your love life. So I think maybe she comes to town trying to figure some things out and through her relationship with her sister and everybody else in Tree Hill, hopefully she’ll find the answers.”
She also talks about collaborating with Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) on the show. She said, “I get to collaborate with Sophia’s character Brooke, because she has a clothing line. There are a lot of relationships that she gets to come back to and be a part of that world.”
Then Mark Schwahn, one of the show’s writers jumped in and commented on if Haley’s sister might have a love interest on the show even though she’s married. He said, “I’ve never endorsed that. But, having said that, if issues arise in her marriage, then that is interesting to me. If someone is genuinely not happy in their marriage, when is it okay to start looking elsewhere?
I don’t know if that’s necessarily the road we’ll go down with Shantel’s character, Quinn, but as a storyline and as drama for the show, I think that’s interesting. “
The 7th season of “One Tree Hill” is set to premiere Monday September 14,2009 at 7pm central time on the CW.
Although Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton) and Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) no longer call Tree Hill, North Carolina home, Peyton’s fledgling record label will remain open for business when the prime time drama returns to The CW this fall.
Creator Mark Schwahn tells TVGuideMagazine.com that India de Beaufort will join the cast as Miranda Stone, “a smart, successful record executive who has been sent to Tree Hill to oversee the day to day operations of boutique label Red Bedroom Records.” Beaufort is the latest in a long line of new actors including Robert Buckley, Shantel VanSanten and Jana Kramer to round out the cast for Season 7.

A One Tree Hill rep is now confirming what I first hinted at in Ask Ausiello: The bitch is back! Danneel Harris has closed a deal to reprise her role as pot-stirrer Rachel Gatina in at least seven episodes next season, beginning with eppy 7.02. Harris made her Tree Hill debut as Brooke’s high school nemesis in season 3 but wasn’t made a series regular until season 4. She was written out in season 5 after only a handful of episodes, an apparent victim of the show’s four-year flash forward.
In other Tree Hill news, the last of next season’s new contract roles has gone to Nuevo 90210 grad Jana Kramer. She’ll play Alexis, a model who becomes the new face of Brooke’s clothing line. As previously reported, Lipstick Jungle’s Robert Buckley and relative newcomer Shantel VanSanten are also joining the cast as Nathan’s sports agent and Haley’s sister Source: EW
Who are they casting as Alexis on One Tree Hill? No one has snagged that role yet. Alexis doesn’t appear in the first episode of One Tree Hill season seven, so producers are takin’ their time to find the right person. Source: Kristin on E!Online
Do you know if One Tree Hill plans to cast an African-American or other minority in any of the roles being added? MATT: Thus far, you’re 0-for-2 on that wish, seeing as Robert Buckley and Shantel VanSanten have been cast as Nathan’s agent and Haley’s sister, Quinn, respectively. As for “Alex” (the supermodel fronting Brooke’s new clothing line), Tree Hill is looking at “all ethnicities,” so there’s some hope there. For what’s it worth, I can offer up this concrete piece of guest casting: NFL legend Jerry Rice will appear as himself in the Sept. 14 season opener. Source: TV Guide Online
‘One Tree Hill’ exclusive: Meet Haley’s sister!
Source: The Ausiello Files
One Tree Hill‘s post Peyton-Lucas makeover continues: Sources confirm to me exclusively that relative newcomer Shantel VanSanten has been tapped to play the series regular role of Quinn, one of Haley’s free-spirited older sisters. The character comes to Tree Hill with a wounded heart and in search of someone new to shag something new. VanSanten, who will be seen in the upcoming Final Destination reboot, joins fellow Tree Hill virgin Robert Buckley as the newest additions to the show’s cast. The Lipstick Jungle hottie is playing Nathan’s sports agent.
Lipstick Jungle‘s Robert Buckley Moves to Tree Hill
Source: TV Guide
Robert Buckley, who famously played Kim Raver’s Lipstick Jungle boy toy and subsequently did a turn on Privileged, will resurface this fall on the CW’s One Tree Hill. Buckley will play Clayton, the sports agent who takes on NBA-bound Nathan as a client and friend, says the Hollywood Reporter. Brian Austin Green was until recently eyed for this series regular role, but ultimately a deal could not be worked out. Buckley’s Tree Hill gig stems from a holding deal he had with Privileged producer Warner Bros. TV.
One Tree Hill is adding three new characters for Season 7, as the show moves on without longtime leads Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray. The two characters remaining to be cast are Haley’s sister, Quinn, and a supermodel who goes to work for Brooke.
Source says Brian Austin Green passing on ‘One Tree Hill’
Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV
Though Brian Austin Green was reported to be in advanced talks to join The CW’s “One Tree Hill” earlier this week, sources close to the production tells me the man — whom I prefer to call “David Silver” — has passed on the part. Word is, The CW made B.A.G. a very healthy offer — I’m hearing $75 Gs an episode… which is what Chad Michael Murray was making, by the way — but Green ultimately decided “OTH” wasn’t for him. Hey, maybe it’s because he’s still holding out hope for a midseason “Body Politic” pick up!

I must confess, I’m kind of loving the idea of Brian Austin Green on One Tree Hill. Ausiello: Well, I hope you don’t love it too much, because I’m hearing the deal may be unraveling. Word is Green’s reps got spooked by the negative spin some bloggers were putting on their client doing OTH. As a result, they may be getting cold feet. Personally, I can’t see Green walking away from a gig that could potentially fetch him north of $1.5 million. Of course, that’s the same figure Chad Michael Murray said no to, so who knows? In their defense, $75K a week — after taxes and agency fees — does not go very far these days. Source: The Ausiello Files
Brian Austin Green Coming to ‘One Tree Hill’ as Sports Agent
Source: Ace Showbiz TV News
Named Clayton, Brian Austin Green’s character is enjoying the spoils that come from being a wealthy, handsome single guy.
There is a chance that Brian Austin Green will be climbing to “One Tree Hill” as a regular in the seventh season. He is slated to take the role of Clayton, a “young and brash” sports agent who represents Nathan’s basketball interest. The casting news is not yet formally announced by The CW or the execs but sources are telling EW that “they’re ironing out a few issues, but it’s pretty much a done deal.” This has been considered as a move which is apt to compensate the lost of two lovable actors in the series, Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton. More about Clayton, the character is in his 20s, and is described in the casting call as “fiercely protective” of Nathan. However, Clayton will not be the only newbie in the series for the show was also casting Haley’s older sister named Quinn and a model for Brooke’s clothing line, Alexis. Brian Austin Green was Derek Reese in “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” until the show got canceled by FOX due to mild rating. He was then signed as the lead of The CW’s “The Body Politic” but the drama does not make it to the Fall 2009 schedule.
Here is the first casting call for Season 7 of One Tree Hill. Filming will begin on 17th June currently.
Mid to late 20s, very pretty. One of Haley’s older sisters, Quinn is a free spirit but can also be dependable and kind. Strong-willed, self-assured but also self-effacing, Quinn is facing a transitional time in her life, one that will bring her to Tree Hill with a wounded heart and in search of something more…SERIES REGULAR.
20s, gorgeous. Alexis is a model/actress and the new face of Brooke’s clothing line. Alexis is an adrenaline junkie and a bit of a diva who is used to getting her way. Book smart and street wise, Alexis uses her wiles to navigate the sometimes treacherous waters of her profession. She has also never met a party she didn’t like, a habit that may inhibit or accelerate her transition from model to actress, depending on who crosses her path sptv050769. PLEASE SUBMIT ALL ETHNICITIES…SERIES REGULAR.
Late 20s, handsome. A young and brash sports agent who represents Nathan Scott’s basketball interests, Clayton is a rising star at his agency and has become a close friend, ally, business partner and advisor to Nathan. A bit of a lothario, Clayton unapologetically enjoys the spoils that are available to a young, wealthy, handsome single guy, while always separating business from pleasure, and remaining fiercely protective of Nathan. PLEASE SUBMIT ALL ETHNICITIES…SERIES REGULAR.
Will One Tree Hill‘s “Leyton” be back next season with mini Leyton? MATT: Alas, in the days since you sent in this question, the CW confirmed that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton will not be returning for Season 7. The silver lining is that the actors’ final outing is a solid one. TVGuide.com’s Robyn Ross, who screened the May 18 season finale, reports that the hour “wraps things up in a little bow with no shockers to leave us hanging. Old faces were back, and dreams were truly realized. Perhaps it could’ve served better as a series finale, because I’d love to think this is the way these stories would have ended.” Source: TV Guide Online
Chad Michael Murray & Hilarie Burton’s ‘One Tree Hill’ departures confirmed
Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV
Though we’ve known for months that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton would not return to “One Tree Hill” this fall for the series’ seventh season, The CW has just now officially confirmed the actors’ exits. A network rep tells me they will be welcoming two new cast members, in addition to Austin Nichols, as series regulars.

It looks like One Tree Hill newlyweds Peyton and Lucas are about to embark on a permanent honeymoon. Sources confirm that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton, whose characters tied the knot in last night’s penultimate episode, will not be returning for the show’s seventh season next fall. The CW is expected to formally announce their departures next Thursday at its upfront presentation. Murray and Burton have been engaged in rather high-profile contract negotiations for the past several months. Ultimately, a deal couldn’t be worked out and both actors will make their final appearances in next Monday’s season finale. To fill the void next season, a Hill insider tells me that two new characters will be introduced. Additionally, Austin Nichols (Julian) is being promoted to a series regular.
