Gossip Girl Season 5 Spoilers: Blair Pregnant With Chuck’s Baby?

One Upper East Sider Is Pregnant, Plus 4 More OMG Moments From This Week’s ‘Gossip Girl!’

Blair is finally off to Monaco to marry her Prince, but an unexpected surprise could cut her fairytale short once and for all!

We’ll have to wait until next season to find out the answer to that question, but Gossip Girl‘s fourth season finale dropped enough surprises to keep us busy chatting about until then.

Last week’s episode ended with Mr. Thorpe kidnapping Blair (Leighton Meester) as an act of revenge against Chuck (Ed Westwick). Blair called Chuck for help, but only because she still had him on speed dial on her phone. He ran to her rescue, then asked her to accompany him for just one drink in return. But that one drink turned into a night of the two crashing a wedding reception and having sex in an empty room of the party. And this was all while Prince Louis of Monaco was waiting for Blair at their engagement party!

She was about to break it off with Prince Louis, until Chuck intervened and gave Prince Louis his blessing and left. Blair ran after him to ask why he did that, especially after they spent that amazing night together. Chuck said he will always love her, but Prince Louis will treat her better than he ever will. They both decided they needed to let go of each other once and for all. Now, Blair is still engaged to her Prince and planning her Royal Wedding for next November. But something tells me she’ll have another surprise to deal with before they say their “I do”s.

More ‘OMG’ Moments:

1. Is Blair pregnant?

The big cliffhanger was a discarded (positive) pregnancy test in the garbage can at Blair and Serena’s (Blake Lively) apartment. Serena hasn’t had a fling since who-knows-when, so I’m thinking it must be Blair’s. And it has been three weeks since her one night stand with Chuck. Could their night of making up and breaking up — have knocked her up?

2. Serena gets a job on the west coast!

Serena traveled across the country to live with her grandma and spend time working on herself for the summer. But will it lead to a more permanent situation for next season? She was offered a job by a major Hollywood hotshot — and it looks like she accepted it!

3. Charlie is revealed to be a fake!

This was by far the most shocking moment of the season finale — aside from the potential pregnancy. Serena’s crazy cousin Charlie (Kaylee Defer) ended up being a total fake, and it was all a plan for Lily’s (Kelly Rutherford) sister to get her blank checks. Georgina (Michelle Tratchenberg) befriended Charlie, or whatever her real name is, after she tried killing herself by jumping out the window. Even though this was all staged, I think Charlie is going to go back to the Upper East Side next season, because she was looking at Georgina’s number after Lily’s sister paid her for the job.

4. Raina is heading back to Chicago.

After finding out her father killed her mother — and almost Blair — Raina (Tika Sumpter) is going back home to Chicago. This means her serious relationship with Nate (Chace Crawford) has come to an end. Of course, Nate will be traveling as a bachelor with Chuck for the summer, and he doesn’t seem too bummed about that.

What did you think of the Gossip Girl season finale, HollywoodLifers? Will there be a love child between Chuck and Blair next season? Is Serena going to permanently reside on the West Coast? Were you as surprised by the Charlie scandal as I was?

The CW Renews ‘Vampire Diaries,’ ‘Supernatural,’ ‘90210,’ ‘Gossip Girl’

The CW picks up ‘Vampire Diaries,’ ‘Supernatural,’ ‘90210,’ ‘Gossip Girl’

spn-tvd-stefan-sam-lg.jpgThe word “duh” comes to mind.

The CW has officially renewed “The Vampire Diaries,” “Supernatural,” “90210,” “Gossip Girl,” and “America’s Next Top Model” for the 2011-2012 season, surprising… well, nobody.

Though ratings are down from its first season, “The Vampire Diaries” remains the network’s top-rated show. Executive producer Julie Plec teases that the show’s Season 2 finale, airing May 12, will set up the tonality of Season 3. In future seasons, they plan to explore the issue of the vampires’ immortality, and the loneliness therein.

“Supernatural” has performed extremely well in its new Friday timeslot, even against genre competition like FOX’s “Fringe.” Executive producer Bob Singer told Zap2it that this year’s Season 6 finale ends with a cliffhanger, so we’re glad to see that we’ll get some resolution in Season 7.

Though “Gossip Girl” and “90210” haven’t been ratings juggernauts from the get-go, they contribute considerably to the image of the network and have been a successful Monday night pairing. They remain watercooler shows for teenagers across the country.

“America’s Next Top Model” is The CW’s only consistently performing reality show. The CW plans to air an “All-star” version next fall.

Still up in the air? Veteran series “One Tree Hill” and newbies “Hellcats” and “Nikita.” “Life Unexpected” is not… well, expected to return.

Gossip Girl Season 3 Finale Recap: 3.22 “Last Tango, Then Paris”

‘Gossip Girl’ finale recap: Big developments (and letdowns)

Source: EW

Gossip-Girl-Blair_320.jpg Image Credit: Giovanni Rufino/The CW Much like grief, I dealt with last night’s Gossip Girl season finale in stages. First, I was flummoxed. Oh, the twists and scandals! Then, I was angry and annoyed… I’ll let you know what comes next when I get there. It’s safe to say I’m on the fence, but let’s take a closer look. [Seriously, stop reading now if you haven’t watched the show yet.]

Quick fix in case you’re catching a train to the suburbs after shaming yourself and those around you: Little J gave her big V to Chuck, but more (vomit) on that later. Dorota and Vanya welcomed a baby. Dan learned he fathered a baby (…we think), and Georgina’s the mom. Queen B headed for Paris for the summer accompanied by a Cheeto in a very pretty dress. Nate stole Chuck’s little black book so he could have a rebound threesome, and some mugger stole Chuck’s would-have-been engagement ring for Blair before shooting him, leaving him bleeding on the street.

Now rewind and slow-mo: We began knowing crap was going to hit the fan faster than you could buy New Moon on Pay-per-view as soon as we saw Georgina (apparently auditioning for the live-action version of Smurfette) arriving at Grand Central. Never a good sign. Also not a good sign? Waking up next to Jenny Humphrey wearing only your girlfriend’s favorite nightshirt and knee socks, which is the precarious position Nate Archibald found himself in. Nothing happened, but the same can’t be said for Jenny’s bed time with Chuck, which happened after heartbroken Chuck thought Blair had stood him up at the Empire State Building. She actually just arrived late, delayed because of the aforementioned birth. Chuck didn’t know that and left forlorn, ready to climb into the first gangly arms that would welcome him. Nit-pick: I understand dramatic storytelling, but for a series completely based off cell phone communication, would it not have made sense to drop the love of your life a call or text to let him know you’d be late? Ugh.

Moving on, my (and what I anticipate to be your) gripes with the Jenny and Chuck hookup fit into one of these categories: Either you’re disgusted that Jenny would sleep with Bass-hat after he tried to rape her in season 1, or you’re disgusted at the thought of Jenny sleeping with Chuck period. Nevermind. I won’t make you choose. Let’s just call this bad form all around. And just when we thought the Campaign to Make Everyone Hate Jenny Humphrey needed no more ammo, it further solidified my support after JHump blasted a picture of her brother and Serena in bed together. (They were just sleeping… after sharing a kiss. Ugh.) Jenny’s story ended for the season with a major Blair verbal whipping, what might have been a demonic omen (or a severe case of runny raccoon eyes), and with parentals Humphrey taking the advice of Wise Gay Teen and “[sending her] crazy ass away.”

On the Dan and Serena front, the wisest voiceover on TV summed up that troubling development best, saying of the possibly budding couple: “What makes them actually great together is when they’re supposed to be with other people.” And as much as I’d be inclined to agree (because as much as I hate both of them, they’re entirely tolerable together), I just can’t let it go that they’re related. Bit much for me. But I doubt this Serena/Dan thing will last long in the new season, seeing as how Dan’s fathered the devil’s child. I anticipate Serena will stay Nate-less, seeing as how he had his hands (quite literally) full.

Oddly enough, for what really should have been the highlight of the episode, the Chuck and Blair storyline was pretty unsatisfying. I had high hopes for the Empire State meeting but was let down — and a little irritated. Then to end the season with Chuck shot trying to save Blair’s GORGEOUS engagement ring from being stolen by random hooligans was (like many things in the episode) too much B.S. to take.

High marks are awarded for the ouster of Jenny and the two-episode absence of Vanessa. My advice for next season: Let’s keep Vanessa on e-mail and Jenny in a land far, far, away. Save Chuck. Keep the parents on the back burner. Let Holier than Thou Dan be the father of Rosemary’s baby (because he needs some scandal). Let Serena regain her human skin color. And please let Blair be happy. With anyone.

I can’t decide, PopWatchers. I think I’ll have to come to terms with the mixed feelings I have about this finale. Le sigh. But that’s juts me. We all know what really counts… yes, yes that’s you. So tell me: What did you think of the episode and the season? Don’t be gentle (…just civil).

SPOILER ALERT: If you have yet to watch tonight’s Gossip Girl finale, stop reading now. I repeat, if you have yet to watch tonight’s Gossip Girl finale, stop reading now. For the last time, if you have yet to watch tonight’s Gossip Girl finale, stop reading now. Everyone else, onward and downward…

Another season finale. Another blind item mystery solved. I can now confirm that Georgina’s top-secret baby bump — revealed in the closing minutes of tonight’s Gossip Girl‘s finale — was the out-of-the-blue pregnancy shocker at the center of my March 22 brain teaser. But the news that Dan’s going to be a papa was just one of several OMG! moments in the season-ender (Chuck shot! Dan still loves Serena! Jenny banished to suburbia!). Luckily, exec producer Stephanie Savage agreed to a little post-climax Q&A to help make sense of what went down and preview what’s to come.

My first question: Were those Taylor Momsen’s real tears?
STEPHANIE SAVAGE:
Yes. I wasn’t there on the day they shot that, but that’s what it really looks like if a girl with raccoon eyes cries that much. There was nothing we could do.

How long will Jenny be gone for?
SAVAGE:
I’d rather not say.

Will she be a changed person when she returns?
SAVAGE:
Yes. What happens in the finale has a real impact on Jenny.

Safe to say Blair/Chuck are far from over?
SAVAGE:
That is correct.

But how does she forgive him for sleeping with Jenny?
SAVAGE:
[Chuck getting shot] is significant enough that it creates some space for them to, if not exactly rekindle their romance right away, at least find a humanity in each other. She doesn’t forgive him immediately. But it’s a significant enough event to recalculate things.

So the Jenny thing is not irreparable?
SAVAGE:
It’s Chuck and Blair. It’s always going to be a wild ride. And that’s the thing. I believe personally that their love for each other is really strong. They are going to encounter incredible obstacles over the course of their time together and the question is whether or not they’re strong enough to make it through.

It’s been announced that Ed Westwick will be traveling to Paris with Blake Lively and Leighton Meester to shoot scenes for the season premiere. Does that mean Chuck was wearing a bullet-proof vest or something?
SAVAGE:
Ed will definitely be filming in Paris with us this summer. That’s all I can confirm. Don’t rule out flashbacks. And we’ve been visited by ghosts before.

Let’s talk about the baby bombshell. Was it always your plan for Georgina to come back pregnant?
SAVAGE:
Yes. We did the math on her leaving town. We sent her away and we were like, “Hmm… that could work out well.” The last gesture I made to [Michelle] when she went away was I mimed a belly bump so she had something to look forward to when she came back.

Does Mercy‘s cancellation mean we’ll get more Georgina next season?
SAVAGE:
It certainly opens the door to expanding her role. We just got the news a few days ago so we’re still in process of figuring out how it affects our plans. We love Michelle and Georgie and would welcome both of them spending much more time with us.

Dan was planning to follow Serena to Paris when he was interrupted by Georgina. Safe to say the Dan/Serena love story is…
SAVAGE:
… reactivated. Sorting through that is going to become a larger story.

‘Gossip Girl,’ Season 3 Finale, ‘Last Tango, Then Paris’: TV Recap

By WSJ Staff

The CW

Old habits die hard, as the season finale of ”Gossip Girl” demonstrates. The bit of drama that sets the episode in motion involves a sleepover between Serena and Dan. Barely a kiss is exchanged but the intimate encounter between the former lovers is enough to upend everyone’s world. Little J continues to be a little schemer, snapping a pic of S and Dan and blasting it out via Gossip Girl. Is there fallout? Natch.

Nate is upset. Dan questions his relationship with Vanessa and re-examines his feelings for Serena. And when Dan tells Rufus that Jenny is out of control, his response is to send her packing to her mom in the burbs. Crestfallen, Little J turns to Chuck, who thinks he’s been jilted by Blair once again (B failed to show at a rendezvous atop the Empire State Building). The two sleep together, only to be interrupted post-coital by Blair. Turns out B was at the hospital watching Dorota give birth, and was so moved the experience she decided to get back with Chuck.

The Dorota subplot is the excuse to get everyone in one place, though it stretches credulity. Last time we checked, the Richistans of Park Avenue and their friends didn’t show up at the hospital to usher in the hired help’s next of kin. It’s while at the hospital that Dan finds out Chuck took his sis’ virginity (that’s right, Little J was an innocent after all). Meanwhile, Chuck, having managed to avoid being caught, is about to propose to Blair when Dan bursts in, sucker punches him and demands he confess to what happened. The fact that Chuck slept with B’s mortal enemy is too much even for this twisted love. She basically tells Chuck it’s over. What’s a rich girl do to get over a heartbreak? Go to Paris. And since S is currently and perennially unemployed, she decides to come along.

In the final scene, we see Humphrey, hopeless romantic that he is, checking out flights to France online, only to be interrupted by Georgina. I have a surprise for you, she says, turning to reveal a very pregnant-looking belly. Could one of his boys reached the endzone during his ill-advised fling with Georgina so long ago? We wouldn’t wish such a fate on our worst enemy.

Chuck Bass in Gossip Girls , Chuck bass dies-What was his ultimate destiny?

Source: http://www.entertainmentandshowbiz.com/

The best part about Gossip Girls is that it always keeps you guessing and the interest in the show always remains at the peak for the viewers.

Even when we think that we are smart enough to figure out what will happen the next, the writers always manages to make us pleasantly surprised.

All the episodes had enough drama and suspense to shock the viewers.

Among the different characters of Gossip Girls, the character of Chuck Bass as the flamboyant, spoilt, rich brat has always been extremely popular. His on/off relationship with Blair has served as a major storyline of this drama series.

In the season finale “Last Tango, Then Paris”, Bass gets shot by two muggers who wanted to steal his engagement ring. This was the same ring he had earlier offered to Blair.

However, she had refused it after discovering that he had slept with Jenny Humphrey. The episode ended with Chuck lying on the street and it is still not clear whether he will survive or breathe his last.

The extremely fatal accident of Bass has drawn some extreme reactions from all over the world, with fans claiming that his death will break their hearts.

Gossip Girl Season 4 Spoilers: Blair, Serena & Chuck? in Paris!

GOSSIP GIRL: Season four will open with a radiant Serena and Blair enjoying their grand and romantic summer in Paris…until Chuck mysteriously arrives in town with a new girlfriend and a new identity. Blair swore off Chuck forever but will this changed man woo Blair into having a change of heart, or will Queen B set her sights on ruling Columbia University? And as for that baby…?

It’ll be hard for me to watch Gossip Girl without Chuck and Blair goodness. Got any scoop on my favorite TV couple?
Sorry, “Chair” lovers. Sources just confirmed to us the news that the Gossip Girl powers that be have cast the role of Eva, Chuck’s new lady. Clémence Poésy, a French actress best known for her role as Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter movies, is signed on for multiple episodes. We’re told she will just be a recurring character and not a series regular. So, don’t set fire to your “Chuck + Blair = Love” signs just yet.

Is Georgina really, truly pregnant on Gossip Girl or is she faking it?
Yessirree. Michelle Trachtenberg told us this when asked that very Q: “Yes, and I’m trying to spread the rumor that I actually was pregnant so that everybody could start talking about how great I look after the baby. I really shed the weight.” Damn. Wish I’d gotten the memo that make-believe TV pregnancies were less fattening!Source: E!Online

Gossip Girl – Chuck’s New Girlfriend

Harry Potter actress Clemence Poesy will be busy casting a spell on Chuck Bass this fall. Gossip Girl has tapped the actress to play Chuck’s new French fling for multiple episodes, beginning with the Paris-set season premiere.
The character, Eva, is described as a warm-hearted bombshell who joins Chuck in Paris — much to the surprise of Blair, who has been spending the summer there with Serena.
The Wrap first reported news of Poesy’s casting.
Thoughts? Will Blair chew up and spit out this little fille like some kind day old croissant? My guess? Oui!

Gossip Girl – Latest from NY Magazine – Next Season’s Trip to Paris

Comment savez dire ‘OMFG’ en Francais? Or, to translate: Vulture has confirmed that the fourth season of Gossip Girl will kick off next fall with two episodes set — and filmed — in Paris.

GG co-creator and executive producer Stephanie Savage flew to France over the weekend to begin scouting locations for a week of production in the City of Lights. At least three key characters — Blair, Serena, and Mssr. Chuck Bass — will be making the transcontinental trek in what’s destined to be pop culture’s most bon voyage since The Facts of Life girls went to Paris in 1982. (And yes, we’re counting European Vacation.)

The Paris plotline represents “the ultimate extension of our Gossip Girl world,” Savage e-mailed us Sunday, shortly after arriving in Paris. She notes that the French metropolis is synonymous with such series staples as high fashion, ritzy restaurants, and tres chic nightclubs. (Blair’s fave sweet? Macarons from Pierre Herme.)

“We mention our characters’ fabulous travels all time, but it’s very hard, and expensive, to actually show them,” Savage writes. “The books were lucky this way: ‘Aspen ski trip’ costs nothing extra to type. So it’s a big deal to be able to take production on the road, especially overseas.”

Savage says the Paris shoot is “a dream” she’s had since the CW show began … or at least since GG’s sophomore year, which launched with key characters enjoying a summer in the nice-but-it-ain’t-Paris locale of the Hamptons. (That trip also had the cost-effective bonus of being driving distance from the show’s usual Manhattan locations.) “Shooting in the Hamptons really elevated the feel and reach of (the show),” co-creator Josh Schwartz told Vulture. “But it felt like, to take it to that next level, we had to go international, and what city is more glamorous? And it’s been a part of Blair’s character, so it organically lends itself to the storytelling as well.”

Team GG began dropping hints about a Parisian excursion a few weeks ago, when the Internets got wind of the episode title for next week’s season finale: “Last Tango, Then Paris.” But just how will the menage a trois of Blair, Chuck, and Serena end up overseas? (Alerte de spoiler!)

“Serena and Blair are finishing up their fabulous summer vacation when someone from home mysteriously shows up in town,” Savage explains. “They need to solve this mystery, or else return to a New York that’s a very different world.”

No word on whether this third person is Chuck, or another character yet to be revealed. Producers are also loathe to reveal any other French connections, except that the GG narrator will eschew her usual “XOXO” sign-off for “bisou bisou,” and that the episodes will be pivotal to the show’s direction next fall.

“Paris is all about jump-starting the season and moving things forward,” Savage says. That said, the Paris ploy is being made from a position of relative strength, rather than desperation. As it ends its third season, Gossip remains the CW’s top-rated show among the network’s core target audience of women under 35. And it was renewed for another season all the way back in February.

Perhaps that’s why Savage took no offense when Vulture asked whether the decision to send Blair and Co. to Paris was inspired by the aforementioned Facts of Life Paris journey.

“FOL is the inspiration for all things GG,” she quipped.

Well, both shows do feature sometimes bitchy characters named Blair.

Gossip Girl Season 4, gossip girl season 3 finale – Season renewed after last episode of season3 “Last Tango, Then Paris”

// <![CDATA[//

The last episode of Gossip Girl season 3 was titled “Last Tango, Then Paris”, and it was perhaps intentionally named. As the Gossip Girl is renewed for Season 4, the title fits apt as the CW sends out a press release about the 1st two episodes of the new season which is all set to be shot in Paris!

Different sources like The Washington Post report about the TV spoiler of Gossip Girl season 4 that was renewed after the last season. The CW had announced on 16th February 2010 about the renewal of the show for a fourth season. The filming would begin in fall 2010.

As reported, the few two episodes of season 4 will be filmed in Paris and that means the lead characters will all fly to Paris for the shooting. Taylor Momsen aka Jenny Humphrey wouldn’t be present for few episodes till November due to her concert and some other reasons. The spoilers reveal that Jenny had been sent to boarding school as a punishment for sharing information with William Van Der Woodsen.

Jessica Szohr as Vanessa would also be absent for few episodes and her character would be sent abroad to work with CNN.

Michelle Trachtenberg as Georgina Sparks would replace Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr during their absence from the show.

Gossip Girl – Season Finale Spoilers

I guess it’s “really, really, good” isn’t much of a spoiler. But it’s accurate. The May 17 Gossip Girl sendoff features big payoffs, several OMG! twists, and a Georgina comeback. Enough, if you ask me, to more than make up for an uneven (but not nearly as bad as some people have said!) season. Most importantly, Chuck/Blair fans freaking out over a certain spoiler-laced European trailer that shows the couple nearing third base should simmer down and judge things after watching the entire hour — a sentiment echoed by exec producer Stephanie Savage.

“I really encourage people who have seen that promo to tune in and watch the whole episode in context,” she pleads. “Those were a few moments that were taken out of context to create the most salacious experience possible. And some people who are having a negative reaction to what they’re seeing I think will have a different reaction when they see it in context. Everyone’s making decisions that are reasonable based on the information that they have.”

In other words, Savage and Co. wouldn’t do you, or your faves, wrong. “This is a story that has been three years in the telling — going back to the pilot,” she reminds us. “And that’s a story that we’ll keep telling in season 4. So I don’t think it’s coming out of nowhere. And it lands on everybody. It lands on Dan, Blair, Serena, Rufus, Lily, Nate — every single person has a POV about this, and we’re going to see these ripple effects over time. “

For now, though, here are eight tantalizing teases to calm you down, wind you up or, most likely, both. Next Monday’s capper will include a:
· Threesome
· Departure
· Mini time-jump
· Engagement ring!
· Shooting
· Birth
· Shocking OMG! twist
· A pair of spectacular Jenny smackdowns at the hands of Blair (Leighton Meester never better!)

Feel better now? Get it all out of your system below.

Gossip Girl – Taylor Momsen says she’s not sure if she will be back next season

EW: Your GG costar Leighton Meester is also trying to launch a music career. Ever talk about it?
TM: No. I’m not really close with my cast. We’re all cordial and nice to each other, but we’re not really friends outside of the set.
EW: I heard Jenny is going to be MIA for the beginning of next season.
TM: I’m gonna be on tour. But as far as next season goes I don’t really know what’s going on. I don’t wanna talk about that because it’s up in the air. At the end of the season, you’ll see.

Gossip Girl – Latest from Kristin – 27th April

What’s the scoop on Vanessa and Dan on Gossip Girl?
It’s not looking good long-term, sorry! I’m hearing that Vanessa will be leaving not only New York but the country before the end of the season–running off to a superfancy and superfar job with CNN. So yes, Jessica is the second female, along with Taylor Momsen’s Little J, to head off into the sunset. The good news? I’m told by sources that both ladies will still be series regulars next season. As for you wondering what Little J will do that leads to her departure, I’m told “it’s a culmination of lots of things Jenny does to multiple people.” That doesn’t sound good at all!

What’s the word on Gossip Girl?
Don’t expect Serena to continue to sit idly by while Jenny tries to hone in on Nate. The onetime pals and now stepsisters are headed for some seriously rough times ahead.

Gossip Girl – First 3 Episode Spoilers

These come from someone who 2 weeks ago claimed to have seen the 1st 3 Episodes. We did not post them until we could confirm the details. With the release today of the new Promotional Photos, we now feel that they probably did see the episodes.

Here is what they are saying.

Chuck decides he is going to open a speakeasy in the 1st few episodes and gets mad at Serena who *beep* it up for him during a meeting by saying something stupid. So, he tries to make up for it by trying to impress the man he is trying to make the deal with by obtaining this painting. It turns out to be the same painting that Blair needs to get into some snobby society (that turns out to be fake- Georgina sets her up). So they big against one another, Serena ends up getting it at the last second-and gives it to Blair. Blair in the end gives it to Chuck and tells him she believes in him. Chuck in turn tells the guy he was trying to make a deal with to go screw himself that he is going to buy the whole damned hotel. And then the episode (3) ends with him and Blair skipping off with a bottle of champagne to enjoy the Penthouse Suite of his new hotel. Lots of good stuff with them the first 3 episodes.Carter grown on me at e.3.There is a steamy scene i could remember with chuck and blair.

The show is currently shooting a scene which has Chuck Bass kiss another man. The person he kisses is Neal Bledsoe, who’s guest-starring in episode 6 as Josh Ellis, NYU’s head of freshman affairs. Since Josh is tasked with selecting an incoming student for the honor of delivering the freshman speech, he’s a person of interest to Blair. In fact, she’s so determined to snag the slot that she goes so far as to pimp out her boyfriend out to the gay guy in charge. (Michael Ausiello)

Olivia’s (Hilary Duff) new guy is actually an old flame. Olivia first appears in episode four on Gossip Girl this season, and shortly thereafter we meet her ex-boyfriend, who’s interested in getting back in her life. (Watch With Kristin)

With Chuck kissing a guy: The kiss itself isn’t the issue. It’s the general lack of trust between them [Chuck and Blair] that causes problems. And the tension grows the following week when another breakdown in trust occurs — this time involving the bar Chuck opens in his new hotel. (Michael Ausiello)

Olivia (Hillary Duff) has a new man in her life. His name is Patrick and they’re co-stars in the Twilight Vampire Knight movie franchise. Casting is under way for the two-episode role. (Michael Ausiello)

Gossip Girl – Latest from Ausiello – Chuck is gay?

Spotted: Chuck Bass sucking face with a dude!

It’s true! Multiple Gossip Girl insiders confirm to me exclusively that the CW phenom is currently shooting an episode for its upcoming third season in which Ed Westwick’s legendary lothario kisses another man.

So who’s the lucky guy? And what are the circumstances surrounding the same-sex smooch? Keep reading for all the spoilery details…

First things first: Sorry to disappoint, but no, it’s not Chace Crawford. Westwick’s “romantic” interest is up-and-comer Neal Bledsoe (CSI: NY, Guiding Light), who’s guest-starring in episode 6 as Josh Ellis, NYU’s head of freshman affairs. Since Josh is tasked with selecting an incoming student for the honor of delivering the freshman speech, he’s, shall we say, a person of interest to Blair. In fact, she’s so determined to snag the slot that she goes so far as to pimp out her boyfriend out to the gay guy in charge.

The catch? All you need to know is there is one. Oh, and wait until you hear what Chuck says to Blair following the lip-lock. (Must. Resist. Temptation. To. Spoil.)

It was only a matter of time before GG played the maybe-gay card with Chuck, who swung both ways in Cecily von Ziegesar’s Gossip Girl books.

What do you think? Surprised? Titillated? Horrified? Choose your adjectives below!

Gossip Girl – Neal Bledsoe Interview

In a matter of minutes last week, Neal Bledsoe went from being a mostly unknown actor to the guy who made out with Ed Westwick on Gossip Girl. The headline-making kiss doesn’t air until Oct. 19, but Bledsoe — who plays a gay NYU alumni whom Blair pimps boyfriend Chuck out to — happily offered us a sneak preview of the can’t-miss episode (and broke some big career news in the process).

How has your life changed in the past week?
NEAL BLEDSOE: My mom is certainly a thousand times more proud of me. And it was my first experience with the paparazzi knowing my name, which was strange. I thought maybe Neil Diamond or Neil Sedaka was standing behind me.

Tell me about your character.
BLEDSOE: Initially I was supposed to play the dean of the freshman class. But then they hired a 28-year-old actor so that seemed like a little bit of a stretch. Now I play a lawyer who is a very well connected alumni at the university who has a hand in deciding who is going to give the famous freshman speech.

An honor you agree to extend to Blair in exchange for the kiss. Is it as simple as you just wanting to say you made out with the legendary Chuck Bass?
BLEDSOE: I will tell you this: I have a very unexpected and darker motivation about it.

Was shooting the kiss awkward?
BLEDSOE: No. We were both professionals about it. [It helped] that we got to know each other a little bit beforehand. And we certainly rehearsed it.

Rehearsed it? How many takes did you do?
BLEDSOE: [Laughs] More than a few.

How would you characterize the kiss? Steamy? A little peck?
BLEDSOE: I would characterize it as a nice kiss.

Complete this sentence: Ed Westwick kisses just like…
BLEDSOE: [Laughs] …he kisses just like Chuck Bass.

What did your girlfriend think?
BLEDSOE: She was happy I wasn’t kissing any of the girls on the show. She might’ve had some Blake Lively envy.

At what point in the process did you find out about the kiss?
BLEDSOE: There was an asterisk on the character breakdown that said, ‘Actor must kiss Ed Westwick in the episode.’

Your first reaction?
BLEDSOE: Things like that shouldn’t matter. Unfortunately for some actors things like that do matter and they’ll turn down projects because of it. I thought it was a really fun episode. I had an awesome time doing it. And I think it would’ve been a shame if I was not open-minded enough to do the episode simply because I had to kiss another man.

Might your character return at some point?
BLEDSOE: I have no idea. That’s up to the writers.

Where do you go from here?
BLEDSOE: I don’t think I’d be breaking my confidentially agreement by saying this: I’m going to be in the Sex and the City sequel.

Who are you playing?
BLEDSOE: Um… It’s a character in the Sex and the City sequel.

Gossip Girl – Josh Safran dishes on Season 3

Gossip Girl begins its third season Monday September 14, and the pre-premiere chatter is louder than ever. So to quiet everyone down (or possibly amp them up further), I’m presenting a three-part interview with Josh Safran, writer and co-executive producer of Gossip Girl. There was much to discuss.

There is the kiss that launched a thousand spoiler alerts. (For those of you just returning from space, journalists and bloggers ran with a leaked storyline where Blair furthers a hairbrained agenda by fooling Chuck into kissing a man.) There is the heightened sensitivity that Safran, the show’s only gay writer, feels towards covering gay themes. There is the story behind Gossip Girl’s more outrageous stories. And the most scandalous of all: there are schemes to foil the leakers. Or at least to try. And so, without further delay, I bring you Josh Safran, part one.

Adrienne Gruben: The kiss leak is born from this new age of spoilers, a relatively new phenomenon that’s been building, but gained more traction this year. NPR even did a story on them. Some people say they create great intrigue and some say they dampen a story’s impact. What is your take?

Josh Safran: First of all, I was surprised [by the leak]. We never intended it to get out there, and we didn’t want it to, either. I understand why they exist and some people like them and some people don’t, and if you don’t like them, don’t look, but what I don’t like is how it feels more and more like everything is being spoiled. Like there isn’t somebody going, “You know what? I have two pieces of information. Why don’t I use one and not the other?” Although not everything gets out, of course, it’s sometimes hard to write stuff when you feel like “can we do this, or will it get out?” It’s just troubles us. I wish that people gave a little more care to what they put out there.

AG: As you know, but some of the readers might not, Gossip Girl was developed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage based upon the books by Cecily Von Ziegesar. In the books, Chuck was bisexual. Personalities Examiner Jorge Carreon wanted to know why, in adapting Chuck’s character for the show, he was not also written as bisexual.

JS: Chuck is not bisexual in the first book. The pilot mirrors the first book, and Josh and Stephanie drew from there for each character. We’ve deviated from the books for the show quite a bit, but it’s important to state that there was never a “we don’t want to make Chuck bisexual” conversation. The book was used merely as the launching point for the character of Chuck, for each character. Once the show was up and running, the writers’ room mindset, per Josh and Stephanie, was to “let the books be the books and let’s use them where we can, but let’s also make the series the series.” Also, you have to remember that when we started, the entire series of books is a year of their high school life– their Senior year. Josh and Stephanie made them Juniors for the first season, so we couldn’t even delve into the college stuff yet. And now, we are so far away from the books in a lot of ways, especially after Season 1.

AG: Were you planning to use the kiss as part of the promo marketing before the episode?

JS: All I can say is that the moment that people are talking about was created organically for the story. And there was honestly never any thought that it would be anything other than enjoyable for the audience as they watched. We just thought, “This will be a great episode,” and I think the audience will see when they view the show that [that moment is] not a stunt. I’m proud of how we’ve woven gay characters into the tapestry of the show. I feel like, as the only gay writer on the show from the beginning and as someone who feels a huge responsibility towards the creation of fully realized gay characters in television, I am supremely proud of what Gossip Girl has done with its gay characters.

AG: Like Eric?

JS: Yes, if you look at Eric, in my mind, he is in one of the only, if not the only, secure relationship on the show. He is also one of the youngest out gay males on network television. And starting with Georgina’s outing of Eric, we’ve done, in my opinion, really strong stuff surrounding the reality of being a gay teenager, that how for some people in your world it’s not a big deal, but for other people, they might try to use it against you, hurt you for it. It’s never black and white, and it’s never easy.

AG: On the reality of being a gay teenager, Eric attempted suicide in the first episode. Teenagers attempt suicide more than any other demographic, but then to add the difficulty of being a gay, closeted teenager into the mix, and in a rigid society no less…

JS: After the pilot, where Eric had attempted suicide, Josh and Stephanie gathered all the writers and we met with people from a suicide prevention organization in Washington. They had seen the episode and they wanted to talk to us about the responsible ways to further that story and I was very grateful for that. We all were. We talked about how one of the top reasons for young, male suicide attempts in America is over struggles with homosexuality, and from that moment on it became clear that that was Eric’s story, and Stephanie and Josh were quick to embrace it. For me that ties back to what it’s like to be a gay, closeted teenager who is having issues and doesn’t feel comfortable with coming out. I was hoping that in showing Eric’s story, the way we have from the beginning, we would be saying to someone in a similar situation, “Your life doesn’t have to be so scary, you are not alone.” Eric was outed, but he ultimately found power in that and he eventually was accepted by everyone. He accepted himself. I feel like we still approach any subject matter from the Gay and Lesbian viewpoint with the same kind of responsibility.

AG: Wow. After hearing all that, I feel bad bringing this up, but I’ve read some criticisms of Eric’s story lines online, that you don’t use him enough.

JS: I’ve read the internet talk, some amongst the gay community that we don’t tell enough stories with Eric, I feel it’s important to add that we don’t drive stories through Eric because he is not a regular. That goes for anyone who is not a regular, but I think that actually works because it allows Eric to have a healthy relationship with Jonathan. If we had to showcase him more, that wouldn’t be the case. This is Gossip Girl. I mean, look at the regulars’ relationships – up and down each week! He has a great relationship.

AG: So with all of that back-story on the show’s intentions for gay themes, and your feelings of personal responsibility, let’s get back to the kiss, which it turns out, did not come from a place of gay for the sake of shock value, or gay for the sake of a shocking promo.

JS: Look, of course once in a while we’re like, “Wow, wouldn’t it be explosive if “X” happened?” but that’s usually more like, “Wouldn’t it be explosive if Serena was on the end of a Ponzi scheme?”. We don’t think about the smaller moments. We don’t think about what they’re going to promo. It does not come through our heads because from a logistical point of view, when we’re breaking a story, it’s so far away to its airdate. This kiss happens in episode 6, and episode 1 hasn’t even aired yet, and won’t for weeks! We’d so like to bury things so that people are actually surprised when they watch the episode, but lately with all the spoiler sites that isn’t possible. Our intention for this was that people’s jaws would drop while actually watching the episode because they wouldn’t know we were going there. And the thing is, it’s a great episode filled with so many juicy things. It’s not like we were sitting their pitching promos like “You’ll never believe what Chuck’s about to do!”, and again, when you see the episode, you will see it’s not that kind of moment. It’s truly a tiny character beat in a much larger story. I’d be the first person to say, there’s no way we can do that if it’s going to make people think it’s a stunt. And it’s not even me. The writers are incredible, really sensitive and cool, I’m so proud to work with them, and not one person in that room is driven by stunts or the idea of sweeps. Everything is always character first, be it “I killed someone” or Blair and Nate getting back together [in Season 2]. People have said that we write stunt plot lines for sweeps. I’m not even sure the CW competes in sweeps. Stephanie always says, “On Gossip Girl, every episode is a sweeps episode.” And it is.

AG: They’re never going to totally go away, but is there a way on your end to circumvent, or at least outsmart, people trying to get information?

JS: Well, now we sometimes use fake sides, just in case, because I know of cases on other shows where scripts, or sides, ended up in the recycling, they ended up there totally innocently, and inadvertently got into the hands of someone who realized it was a find. So now we’re just going to have to be creative. When Chuck kissed Blair in the finale last year, we were determined to throw people off. We had a crowd of a couple hundred people, and dozens of paparazzi, and we decided to have Nate also do the same scene — kiss Blair outside of The Plaza — to throw people off. Chace and Leighton were such good sports, Chace came in early, and we had Leighton and Ed do their take, with the hundreds of people watching, and then Chace came out, and he did the same take and everyone was like, “Whoa!”. You heard this loud collective gasp, and it was this great moment because the crowd knew they were being played, they just didn’t know which way. I had my camera and took pictures of the crowd. It was really fun to do, and even though when the pictures of both kisses hit the press, a lot of people figured “it’s got to be Chuck and Blair,” because people kind of knew, it was still a way to subvert the spoilers, and have fun.

AG: Since we talked about how you hate it when things are leaked, anything you can leak yourself before someone finds it in a trash, or taped to a streetlamp?

JS: Well, there’s something we’re putting together right now, an event we’re really excited about. It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for a while now — a musical. But a musical in only the way Gossip Girl could do it. Sometimes we have an idea like this, but then something else comes up and we put it on the back burner. Hopefully this time it’ll happen.

AG: Ok, this is a bad musical pun, but I will be singing your praises for compromising your beliefs a little and leaking this.

JS: It was either tell you, or find someone digging it out of my recycling tomorrow.

Next time, Josh tells more about what to expect this season, how Gossip Girl is like Law and Order, and reveals some secrets from the writer’s room including the very mysterious “time of death” chart on the wall.

Gossip Girl – Back-To-School Woes and Whoas for the Gossip Cast

Just when you thought Gossip Girl couldn’t get anymore glamorous, the third season is set to return with a bang. “We have our big Polo match in the first episode, we go to Sotheby’s for an auction in the third episode and in the fourth episode, we have a big movie premiere at Ziegfeld [Theater],” says the show’s executive producer Stephanie Savage.

And amidst all this glitz and glam, Gossip’s graduates are getting ready to go back-to-school and things are never too easy, are they? Spoiler alerts to come …

For Blair Waldorf, college might just be down the street from her posh Upper East Side pad, but it might as be well be across the country. “Blair is the fish out of water,” says Savage of Leighton Meester’s character. “Now that she is going to school downtown, Vanessa and Dan are really among their people. So it’s bizarre-o world for her.”

However, Blair won’t be totally alone downtown. As promised, Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) will return as her new college roommate. “She is not going to be in our first episode, but she will be in the second episode when our kid’s start college,” says Savage. And Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) will be a staple by Blair’s side throughout the season. While Chuck won’t be clocking in any school time, Savage tells PEOPLE, “This year, [Chuck] is really going to be focused on getting out from underneath his father’s shadow and starting his own entrepreneurial direction.”

Adding to Blair’s “shadows” downtown is off-again BFF Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), who will also be stirring up trouble south of Central Park. As well as locking lips with Carter Baizen (Sebastian Stan) in the first episode, Serena’ll be hooking up with designers Tory Burch and Georgina Chapman of Marchesa. Savage tells us the fashion cameos have to do with Serena’s “decision [in terms of college] and what happens to her in the first couple of episodes.”

But, a reconciliation with Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) won’t be in her future [DASH] at least not this year — Dan is busy romancing Hilary Duff’s character Olivia Burke in the Village.

Then there’s Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), learning the ropes of Queen Bee. “We really do see Jenny struggling with what she is going to do with this power that has been given to her,” says Savage. “She is back at Constance and now she is a junior — the same age as our other girls when the show started — so we have lots of story areas for Jenny that are opening up.” And one in particular that will make a comeback: Jenny’s fashion career! “As we get more into the season, that is going to be a bigger and bigger story,” says Savage. – Andrea DeSimone

Gossip Girl – Season 3 Spoilers

CHUCK & BLAIR: IT’S ON!
“Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) are definitely going to be a couple and stay a couple this season,” Gossip Girl executive producer Stephanie Savage tells PEOPLE. But don’t expect it to be all chocolates and roses: “Chuck and Blair in a relationship is going to be something very unique and something we haven’t seen before. They have definitely found ways to not be boring.” Now thatsounds interesting.

SERENA & CARTER! OMG!
In last season’s finale, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) unexpectedly took off with Carter Baizen (Sebastian Stan). So, are they now a couple? Not quite. “Something definitely happens with Carter over the summer and you will see Serena and Carter deal with the fallout over that in our first couple of episodes,” says Savage.

NATE’S NEW GIRL
The drama between Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and his powerful grandfather is sure to continue. When Nate finds a new ladylove in Bree Buckley (Joanna Garcia), a Texas girl whose Republican family counts the Vanderbilts as their political rivals, it’s game on. “It’s a bit of a Romeo and Juliet romance,” says Savage.

DAN’S A-LIST FLING
So, how does a kid from Brooklyn score the superstar new girl? “[Olivia Burke] (played by Hilary Duff) is a child actress who craves a normal college-girl existence and happens upon Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), a Brooklyn hipster and cultural snob who doesn’t know who she is,” says Savage. But don’t count on Serena being jealous. “Dan and Serena are a lot more like siblings than former flames. It is much less romantic than it has ever been.”

FAMILY REUNION?
“The Rufus-Lily-Lovechild story will definitely come [full circle] in the first part of the season,” says Savage, who won’t divulge any more details – though we suspect a reunion is in sight. And something tells us that Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr) might help it happen. “Vanessa has someone new in her life, who may or may not be related to Dan Humphrey,” hints Savage. Any guesses?

Gossip Girl – Crossover with The Beautiful Life?

Mike and Karey spilled that they’re already thinking of a way to get the casts of Gossip Girl and The Beautiful Life to join forces in a mega-New York crossover.

While nothing is set in stone for the crossover right now, Mike teased a possible storyline that he’ll be pitching to Gossip’s executive producer Stephanie Savage: “My idea—since these things happen—there are blackouts. The idea is that we have two shows that exist in the same city, and if our cast is on the subway, and their cast is on the subway, and then the subway shuts down. We don’t even have to necessarily cross them; we can simply tell two stories with them in the background and maybe have one or two characters cross through.” Karey also told us she wouldn’t mind Chuck Bass stealing some of the models, natch. The CW has made a special featurette for one of the qualities that “” is proud of, the wardrobe. Costume designer Eric Daman takes viewers inside the closet of the show’s fashion department, showing off some collections which Serena, Blair and Chuck will be wearing in the third season. Daman’s concept for Serena is those attires which crave for attention because Serena is having an identity crisis. If in season 2 she resembled ‘ sense of fashion where everything is sleek and simple, she will go back to the old ‘party girl Serena’ style. This includes a bejeweled vest and blazer splashed with lots of colors.

As for Blair, Daman wants to present a more mature look for her. This includes a revolution in the signature headband which goes from school-girl headband to cream-colored python headband. Clothes-wise, Blair is going sleeker and minimal because she is now a student of NYU who wants to be the new reigning queen. Blair in fact has a connection with boyfriend Chuck’s style, which is brooch. Like Blair who pays attention to details, Chuck is also a rather suave man who won’t hesitate wearing a red rose brooch on his suit. Daman, who said that Chuck is his favorite character to dress, changes the style from urban dandy to ‘ Gordon Gecko from “Wall Street”. This means Chuck will wear gold cufflings, suspenders and such.

The third season of “Gossip Girl” premieres on September 14.

Neal Bledsoe on Kissing Ed Westwick for ‘Gossip Girl’

The guest star said that Westwick kisses just like Chuck Bass and that it was not awkward at all because they rehearsed it.

Neal Bledsoe on Kissing Ed Westwick for 'Gossip Girl'Source: Ace Showbiz TV News
See larger image The guy who will be kissing on “” is a mystery no more. Neal Bledsoe has opened up to Entertainment Weekly what prompted him to take the role and how the kiss happened. The actor who was relatively unknown, said it was a “nice kiss” and that it would be foolish if he hadn’t taken the role just because he has to kiss a guy. As previously reported, Westwick’s Chuck Bass is doing Blair a favor by seducing the gay NYU alumni who has the power to select a freshman to give the important speech. Turns out the kiss is not going as simple as it should be. “I will tell you this: I have a very unexpected and darker motivation about it,” Bledsoe told EW. How exactly the kiss shooting went on, Bledsoe admitted it was not awkward at all because they were both “professionals about it” and have rehearsed it. He confessed though that the scene took several takes to be perfect.

“Gossip Girl” returns on September 14 but the kiss will not be featured until the October 19 episode.

Gossip Girl – Stars Talk New Season’s Twists and Turns

The third season of Gossip Girl, which began filming last month in New York, will include even more twists than the previous two, says Jessica Szohr, who plays Vanessa on the CW show. “It’s like a new chapter in everyone’s life,” Szohr, 24, told PEOPLE Wednesday at a Charlotte Russe fashion event in New York. “We’re all off to college, we’re working. There’s a lot of guest stars coming on, new relationships are formed.” In addition to Hilary Duff, former Privileged actress Joanna Garcia will play a new love interest for heartthrob Chace Crawford. Garcia plays a Texas socialite who rivals Crawford’s Nate Archibald in wealth and status — and she just might be off-limits. “We have sort of a Romeo and Juliet love story,” Garcia tells PEOPLE.

While romances bloom on set during the new season, the off-screen romances between stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley and Szohr and Ed Westwick make the cast a tight-knit bunch. But Garcia said the close group has welcomed her with open arms. “I was really nervous coming in,” says Garcia, who is currently slated to appear in four episodes. “[But] they’ve been so warm and welcoming and lovely. It’s been so nice. They’ve been making me feel like New York isn’t such a big city.” Things won’t bet getting so warm and fuzzy on screen, however, as Szohr says there are plenty of surprises in store. “Someone ends up not being who they say they are,” she reveals. “It’s just lots of drama and crazy stuff.”

Also crazy: Gossip Girl’s fans, who clamor to catch a glimpse of the hot young cast while their shooting on location in the Big Apple. “It’s been nuts. I don’t know what’s happened over our break,” Szorh says. “Coming back, none of us have ever seen it like how it’s been. But it’s a good thing. We’re blessed to be working on a fun cool show with cool people in New York.” – Kelsey Witten Tell us: Are you excited for the new season? Sorry, Hilary Duff haters, but Duff joins the Gossip Girl cast as movie star Olivia, and she’ll be getting her movie-star cooties on the entire cast, not just Vanessa and Dan. Also on Gossip Girl this season, Chuck and Blair are totally getting married and having a million babies. (OK, not that, but they are staying tight. Yay!) And believe it or not, the show really is trending away from “Dan and Serena are the one true pairing of Gossip Girl.” Certainly, that arc might turn back sometime in the future, but for now the show is trying to establish their separate identities, apart from their on-again, off-again shenanigans. Is that great news or the worst thing you’ve ever heard? Source: Kristin on E!Online

Will Michelle Trachtenberg bail on ‘Gossip Girl’ now that Maura Tierney’s illness has pushed ‘Mercy’ from midseason to fall?

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Due to an undisclosed medical issue for star Maura Tierney, NBC’s new drama “Parenthood” has been pushed to midseason and Michelle Trachtenberg‘s new series “Mercy” will be bumped up to launch in September instead of January. The cast and crew of the medical show have been asked to start work much earlier than expected in order to make a fall debut. But what does this mean for Trachtenberg’s upcoming stint on “Gossip Girl“? Will she still be able to appear as Blair’s roommate in the three-episode arc we were promised? According to sources close to the series, there should not be a conflict, as Trachtenberg’s “Mercy” contract included a clause allowing her time off to shoot “GG.” Sorry, Ms. Waldorf.

Hilary Duff Joins Gossip Girl

Update From E!Online Inside sources tell us exclusively that Duff’s character Olivia is a movie star who just wants to live a simple peasant girl’s life at college and date a simple unfamous guy. Lucky for her then that Dan doesn’t know who she is and that he wants to hook up with her. Yep, not only are Dan and Serena all permanently broken up, but Dan is stepping out on Serena with this new girl Olivia. E!Online

Is the Upper East Side big enough for Serena, Blair and the Duffster?! We’re about to find out because the onetime tween sensation is joining Gossip Girl for a multi-episode arc, sources confirm exclusively. The actress-designer-pop chanteuse will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience. She ends up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) so it’s safe to say she’ll be majoring in Drama! Duff will debut in this season’s fourth episode, slated to air Oct. 5. Gossip producers spotted an opening in Duff’s schedule after NBC passed on her comedy pilot Barely Legal. What say you, Gossip gurus? Do you approve of Duff’s casting? Thoughts on who she’ll be paired with romantically? (My guess: Dan.) Sound off below! Source: EW

‘Gossip Girl’ scoop: Joanna Garcia is Nate’s new GF!

Source: The Ausiello Files

And you thought Nate Archibald was privileged before. Sources confirm that Joanna Garcia, star of The CW’s axed-too-soon Privileged, has booked a four-episode arc on Gossip Girl as a love interest for Chace Crawford’s affluent alter ego. Garcia will play Bree Buckley, an irreverent, slightly evil Miss America-type who hails from a conservative Southern family. She’ll first appear in the Sept. 14 season premiere. Props to The CW for knowing a good thing when they see it!

Can we assume that Gossip Girl‘s Serena won’t be attending Brown now that she’s off chasing Daddy Dearest? MICKEY: Here’s what Blake Lively told us about Serena’s plans in the wake of being slapped with that paternal jaw-dropper. “She’s thrown for this huge loop,” she says. “There are a lot of things she’s going to find out about her mother and about her background.” In other words, Serena will not be heading to Providence in the fall… but she might not be in New York either. Will Family Ties Tear Dan and Serena Apart on Gossip Girl?

Blake Lively, Chris Riggi, Penn Badgley The CW

Brace yourselves, Gossip Girl fans, because one of the series’ key couples may not be getting back together! Yep, we’re hearing not-so-encouraging things about the future of Dan and Serena, and we’ll tell you what new paradigm they are living under next season.

Any news on Gossip Girl yet? What about Dan and Serena for season three? It’s too early to say for sure, but our sources tell us that next year on Gossip Girl does not look like the Year of “Dan Serena Dan Serena whoo!” At this point it looks like you can expect more of a brother-sister vibe from Dan and Serena (remember, they do share a half-sibling, Chris Riggi‘s Scott), rather than a whole epic love story thing, à la Chuck and Blair. Is Georgina going to be Blair’s roommate next season on Gossip Girl? While we know Michelle Trachtenberg is tied to NBC’s new medical drama, Mercy, she will be causing some trouble for Blair. Leighton Meester tells us, “Blair is going to NYU, so she might have some trouble there on her own regardless, but maybe Georgina will be coming in to stir some stuff up. I really like working with her, so it’s good.” Source: Kristin on E!Online

Georgina’s plan to weasel her way into Blair’s life will be successful, as Blair will be living – gasp! – in an NYU dorm, with the little people! Including possibly both G. and V.! Source: TV Guide Online

[…] You might be wondering if Georgina and Carter Baizen are joining the cast as regulars next season. While it certainly looks that way in the finale, sources tell us they aren’t signed to full-time gigs for next year, and of course, Michelle T.’s first obligation is to her new NBC series, Mercy. We caught up with her at the NBC “Infront” luncheon in L.A., and she told us exclusively: “It’s definitely a cliffhanger, and obviously very exciting, and obviously, one can assume from that dialogue being spoken that there are many more crazy things to come for Georgina.” Source: Kristin on E!Online

Gossip’s Girls Talk About Chuck and Blair’s Future… With Georgina?

On the fitting green carpet at the CW upfront this morning, Leighton Meester couldn’t wait to share her thoughts on the future of Chuck and Blair, and Blake Lively weighed in on Georgina’s return.

When last we saw them, Chuck was showering Blair with her favorite treats and, more importantly, finally saying those three little words. But alas, can Bluck really work in the real world?

“Chuck and Blair holding hands, Chuck and Blair going to the movies—isn’t that what he says would be unrealistic?” Meester tells us. “I feel like a tumultuous relationship is a-brewin’, but that’s what drama is.”

The actress herself, who recently went blonde for a movie but promised to go back to brunette ASAP, says she isn’t sure what she hopes will come for the couple.

“I want us to see them together, but at the same time, the reason why they’re so good is why they can’t be together,” she says.

Unfortunately, both Blake and Leighton agree that Georgina’s return could cast a long shadow over Chuck and Blair’s future.

“Chuck and Blair are finally together, but yet Georgina is back to screw up her life with that major vendetta,” Lively tells us.

Despite the cliffhanger, whether or not Michelle Trachtenberg will be back on the show remains in question. The former Buffy actress is starring in Mercy, a nursing drama that NBC recently picked up.

Another big challenge ahead for our favorite Upper East Siders may be higher education.

“A few other people are going to college,” Meester says. “I don’t know if they’re going to stay.”

Speaking of college, Penn Badgley tells us that Dan Humphrey’s half brother, Scott (Chris Riggi) might be up to no good with his sneaking around New York: “He’s gotta skulk…He’s a Humphrey.”

And speaking of Humphreys, could Dan be coming around to the idea of Nate (Chace Crawford) getting with Little J (Taylor Momsen)? According to Penn, “He should. Nate’s a solid dude.”

So, is Dan done thinking that Jenny’s too young for Nate? “Probably not,” says Penn. “But I personally think that Dan should relax. Dan is too uptight.”

Last but not least, in addition to more Georgina and Rufus-Lily spawn in season three, there is one indisputably awesome character we can promise will be getting plenty of screen time: Countess Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski).

“I think she’s going to be around a lot more next season,” says Leighton.

Gossip Girl – Latest from Ausiello

Questions: I just finished watching the Gossip Girl finale, and it was awesome. My question for you is about Georgina: At the end of the episode she announced she was going to be Blair’s roommate at NYU — strongly implying that she would be a presence, if not a regular character, in season 3. But Michelle Trachtenberg is in NBC’s new fall drama, Mercy. What does this mean about Georgina and Gossip Girl? Ausiello: It means producers thought ahead and made sure Trachtenberg negotiated a three-episode Gossip Girl “out” in her Mercy contract. Gossip Girl Season Finale Recap: Chuck Finally Tells Blair ‘I Love You’

‘Gossip Girl’ Finale: Graduation Day. And Chuck loves…

Source: Zap2it.com Recaps

Cast_gossipgirl_240 Tonight on “Gossip Girl,” Rufus and Lily bond over a little Mary J (not Blige), Serena wages war on Gossip Girl, and a mysterious stranger who may or may not be the long-lost offspring of reunited Rufus and Lily transfers to NYU.

Graduation

Gossip Girl texts everyone during the graduation ceremony as follows: Nate Archibald: class whore, Dan Humphrey: the ultimate insider, Chuck Bass: coward, Blair Waldorf: weakling and as for Serena Van Der Woodsen, after today you are officially irrelevant. Congratulations everyone, you deserve it. Serena vows to take Gossip Girl right the eff out.

The Scooby Gang works out that it’s someone in their class. It took them until graduation to suss that out? Serena texts a fake tip to GG… and little twinky Jonathan’s phone rings. But it turns out Jonathan hacked into GG’s server over spring break, that’s how he gets her text messages. (Why is it always little twinky guys who are named “Jonathan.” Will he get his own alternate-reality episode of GG where he’s a spy and a trumpet player and total pimp?)

At Nate’s party, Dan and Vanessa are all Preston and Denise from “Can’t Hardly Wait.” Blair takes Chuck into a bedroom and stripteases for him, then asks him how he feels about her. Before he can answer, GG texts: Serena Van Der Woodsen just couldn’t leave well enough alone. Since she had to find out the truth about me, I’m going to tell you the truth about everyone. Every gossip bomb I’ve got is about to drop and if you’ve got a problem with that… take it up with her.”

The Gossip Bombs are as follows:
Ever wonder why Miss Carr left town? Dan Humphrey had sex with her during the school play.
The sparks between Humphrey’s sis and Nate during a hot photo session? Thank God it stopped at PG-13, or someone could’ve ended up in jail. Like her brother.
And as for Blair Waldorf, say uncle. We hear she kept it in the Bass family on New Year’s but rumor has it Chuck spent some time in Brooklyn, metaphorically speaking of course.

So Dan slept with a teacher, Jenny fooled around with Nate, Blair hit Jack Bass and Chuck hooked up with Vanessa. Happy graduation everyone! Blair turns against Serena, blaming her for everything. She goes back to Chuck, though, and tells him she loves him, begging him to tell her back. He won’t and Blair cries.

Nate tries to comfort Serena, who thinks everything is ruined because high school is over and everyone hates her. So she texts GG: meet me at the Oak Room or I tell everyone who you are. Nate sits with her at the Oak Room, then Dan shows up. She confesses that she doesn’t want to be irrelevant and he reassures her that she won’t be. As the entire senior class shows up, GG texts them all that she’s coming with them to college. Blair and Serena make up, as Chuck watches from outside, looking sad.

Queen B Search
Blair’s minions are choosing a new head Mean Girl at midnight, giving it to whomever brings the best piece of gossip to them at Nate’s party. New girl Emma Boardman (who lives on Park Avenue) wants the title. Once Jonathan reveals his access to GG’s server, Jenny and Eric find a piece of gossip that she thinks would crush Emma Boardman for new Queen B but doesn’t think she can use it because it’s about Blair’s New Year’s activities.

When Jenny tries to warn Blair that GG knows, Blair blows her off so Jenny turns right around and tells the Mean Girls what she found out. Unfortunately, GG texts her Gossip Bombs before Jenny can spill the beans. Emma smirks. Is Emma Gossip Girl? Blair tells Jenny the gossip about her and Chuck, but Jenny turns it down. Blair says Jenny is her queen and that she needs to look out for herself.

Rufus and Lily’s Excellent Adventure
Lily doesn’t want to have much to do with Rufus now that he no longer wants to marry her. Women are funny that way. However, Lily gets down-in-the-mouth about her daughter graduating high school and feeling old, so she surprises Rufus with beer and weed. Excellent. They get high and he proposes with a tape measure for a ring.

One Week Later
Rufus and Lily are happy, Eric and Jenny unpack their stuff. Blair gives Serena her mug shot in a frame, snerk, and they hug. Dan, Vanessa and Nate have coffee and Nate says the Deputy Mayor made a pass at him, so he’s going backpacking with Vanessa instead of working for the Mayor.

Blair crashes the coronation of Emma as Queen in order to bestow the crown to Jenny, who told GG all the secrets she was keeping about Nelly.

Dan meets a new NYU transfer named Scott, who is from Oregon and possibly the long-lost child of Lily and Rufus. Georgina calls to tell Dan that his money is back in his bank account, not to worry about Poppy and that she’ll see him at NYU next year. Georgina then requests Blair for a roommate. Exxxxxcellent.

Serena runs into Carter on her way out of town and he tells her that he found her father. In Fiji. She invites him along in the limo.

Chuck then surprises Blair with her favorite macaroons from Paris and favorite stockings from Germany. He says he was a coward and that he had to come back for her. Blair says she can’t believe him because he’s hurt her so much, but he insists that she can believe him this time. He then says, “I love you too” and they smooch. Awwww!

What did you guys think? Excellent finale, I thought. I can’t wait to see all our favorite Upper East Siders in college. ‘Gossip Girl’: Blair’s New Year’s escapade becomes public knowledge…

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Leightonmeester Still dying to know what exactly went down with Blair and Jack Bass on New Year’s? Well you — and Chuck — will find out Monday, thanks to Gossip Girl, whomever she (or he) may be. The online tattletale plays a big part in next week’s “GG” season finale when she kicks off graduation festivities by calling the elite of Constance and St. Jude out. I won’t spoil all of her accusations… just one: Whore! She calls Nate Archibald a whore. Which he kind of is. What else can I tell you… Well, there will be a marriage proposal (any guesses?), the friendly reunion of a former couple (no, I’m not referring to Chuck and Blair), the return of a character we haven’t seen in a little while (oh, the possibilities!) and… a weird preoccupation with headbands. The character that’s coming back? Okay, fine, it’s Carter Baizen… and he’s bringing some big news with him. News about someone we met this past Monday. News that will no doubt affect next year’s storylines. As for Chuck and Blair, the episode belongs to them and that’s all I’m going to say on that subject. Something I will, however, happily elaborate on is the hotness of Dan and Serena’s half brother who, as previously reported, shows up in the finale.

VIDEO: Who will be Constance Billard’s new Queen B Gossip Girl?

…no one, if Jenny Humphrey has anything to do with it.

The Mean Girls are persuading Jenny to take over Blair in the competition to reign the whole school as the Queen, on the May 18 season finale ‘The Goodbye Gossip Girl’.

See larger image The fight for the new Queen throne is given a sneak peek via the just-released “” clip. With the seniors’ graduation approaching closer, the Mean Girls are looking for someone to replace Blair and they are challenging Jenny to throw her hat in the ring. The season finale of “Gossip Girl” is scheduled to air Monday, May 18. Some scoops regarding Jenny’s fate in the episode have been thrown out, hinting that she will take the chance to rule the school although reluctantly. Also, she will get an unlikely competition for the queen title from someone who once also “threatened Blair’s own ascension”. In another development, Gossip Girl decides to liven things up at the Constance Billard and St. Jude’s graduation by sending out a shocking and damaging email blast in the midst of the commencement ceremony, stirring Serena to come up with a plan of attack. Lily and Rufus struggle to repair their relationship after Lily’s betrayal. Their long-lost lovechild, Scott, will appear for the first time in this episode, played by actor Chris Riggi.

Jessica Szohr Spills on the Future of Gossip Girl

Source: Kristin on E!Online

We just caught up with Jessica Szohr in New York and got the rundown of Vanessa’s romantic future. Here’s what she spilled:

What’s Up With Vanessa and Nate? Jessica tells us that V will get over Nate’s dalliance with Blair sooner rather than later. According to Szohr, “Obviously, Vanessa’s a little bit hurt because that’s her boyfriend, but what comes around goes around, so I’m sure Vanessa will be all right.”

What About Vanessa and Dan? Could Danessa ever hook up? Jessica tells us, “I don’t know if I could see Vanessa and Dan together because now that she’s come back and accepted his loving Serena, and he’s always there for her through so many things with Nate, I think they’re just good friends. I don’t know if they’ll ever date. But it’s Gossip Girl, so…”

Will There Be More Between Vanessa and the Basshole? Jessica tells us, “Vanessa hates Chuck…that’s what’s fun about it. We’ll see.” Sounds like there could be more spiciness in store for those two, somewhere down the line…

What About Vanessa and Lesbianism? Could V ever take up with one of the ladies if she exhausts the local supply of eligible bachelors? (Her sister Ruby is in a lesbian pub band…) “For the ladies? I don’t know, maybe she will.”

Now, who’s stoked for Monday’s Gossip Girl finale?

Question: Could you please give us some juicy scoop on the Gossip Girl finale? It would really make my day. Ausiello: One of the cliffhangers involves Georgina … and Dan, and another Blair and Chuck. Gossip Girl Episode Recap 2.24: Valley Girls

‘Gossip Girl’: ’80s flashback, on prom night

Source: Zap2it.com Recaps

What do you get when you cross “Gossip Girl” with “Pretty in Pink,” throw in a dash of “Mean Girls” and “Never Been Kissed,” a touch of “Less Than Zero,” a pinch of “Almost Famous,” and a smidgen of all of our collective bad memories of ’80s fashion? Yep — tonight’s episode. I’m just thankful there wasn’t any “Carrie” in the mix.

Let’s start at the very beginning, a very fine place to start:
Malibu in 1983 isn’t exactly the Golden Age for Lily. She’s been expelled from her boarding school in Santa Barbara, she’s been uprooted from New York to L.A., her parents have gone through a hideous divorce, and she practically has to stand on her head to get her father’s attention. She meets Daddy (Andrew McCarthy!! Who is looking good, by the way) and basically begs to move in with him, but he’s not terribly interested. which leaves her fleeing her insolent mother’s clutches in her shiny white Porsche, off to find her rebellious sister Carol, who’s bolted the family to live her own life.

Lily and one of Carol’s work pals find Carol at a bar, where No Doubt (who were all about 11 or so in 1983, but I know we’re suspending disbelief) is playing. Carol and her merry band of boys in her band are determined to get back their video from the feckless, skinny tie-wearing, blond, rich, creep who “directed” it for them. His name’s van der Woodsen, by the way. And the soiree at his house — where giddy partygoers are doing both the robot and the Safety Dance — turns into a brawl that Lily finds herself in the middle of. She surprises even herself with her scrappiness, and though she’s kind of mortified by how Carol defines “success” — I mean, she did sell the Beemer that mom and dad got her and invested it with a guy who’s making fanny packs — she also admires the fact that she’s independent.

Which is a bit of a change from the “I’m fine with the path you guys have laid out for me” line she laid on her father in a plea to let her live with him. But when you find yourself in the slammer, it’s not like you have a choice but to grab your inner pugnacity and hang on tight. Her one phone call interrupts her mother’s Jane Fonda workout, and Ceci is by turns mortified and highly irritated that Lily’s antics are messing with her plans for the future. Carol takes the phone as Lily begins to lose her nerve, and tells their mother to sit tight; Lily’s staying with her for a while. Then Lily learns that Carol sold her car to get the bail money, and is introduced to the joys of public transportation.

Caged bird pouting: As Blair & Co. wait for Serena to get sprung from the police station, Blair quite rightly notes that with four hours behind bars, Serena’s done more jail time than either Nicole Richie or Lindsay Lohan. Lily shows up to drop the charges and take Serena home, making some ridiculous argument about how having her daughter arrested was the right thing to do when trying to spare the family from scandal. Like Page Six never reads the police blotter. Then Serena drops her own bomb — Lily wasn’t her one call from jail; grandmother Ceci was. Dum dum dum…

Lily, royally mad at her mother for spilling the beans to Rufus about the son she had and gave away, basically orders her mother out of her house and out of her life. Serena, following in her mother’s footsteps, asserts her independence by deciding to stay in jail until her mother acknowledges that she can run her own life. Oh, brother. Lily goes back to the police station to find Serena gone — Dan’s sprung her and is taking her to the prom.

Lily goes to apologize to Rufus, and more or less acknowledges (with Lily it’s not always easy to tell) that she blew the proposal. He suggests she get over her mother stuff so she can actually be a mother to Serena. But he hasn’t quite forgiven and forgotten enough to mend their relationship just yet. He will, though. Wuss. Lily catches her mother as she’s departing and tries to mend fences, or at least to tolerate her mother and give her a hug. I’d like to throw back a couple of gimlets with Ceci, but amen she’s not my mom.

Prom Night: One thing after another seems to be going wrong with Nate and Blair’s Perfect Night — their hotel reservation canceled, all the limos have been rented (Say what? The economic crash has surely freed up several dozen downtown.), Blair’s dress is ruined, and the florist has sold out of peonies. It really is tragic. Nate suspects Chuck of sabotaging their night, which Chuck of course denies. Nate and Blair finally get there, the very vision of the prom she dreamed of — and sketched — in her pre-adolescent scrapbook. The Mean Girls decide to fix the Prom Queen election so Nelly Yuki would win, but Chuck comes to Blair’s aid, grabs the extra ballots and stuffs the box with votes for Blair — who catches him partway through and accuses him of ruining her night.

Of course Blair wins, and aside from the fact that none of them can dance worth a damn, the only other true reality comes when Blair realizes that her adolescent fantasy about going to prom with her high school boyfriend isn’t really the be-all that she thought it would be — in fact, the whole night already feels like a memory she should move on from. In the end, she kicks big, dumb, wooden-faced Nate to the curb, and realizes that Serena is really the Louise to her Thelma. Or maybe the other way around.

‘Gossip Girl’ spin off: Exec producer Stephanie Savage tells us what to expect

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Lily van der Woodsen. During tonight’s “Gossip Girl” hour, we’re flashing back more than 25 years to her teenage days, and if all goes well, those flashbacks will morph into a whole new spin off series this September. Sounds exciting to me, so I decided to bother executive producer Stephanie Savage with a bunch of questions about it…

80s. Love it. Already on board. But exactly what year will things begin, will we know?
SS:
We’re going to try and be somewhat vague about that, just so we don’t get trapped in nitpicking, but we’re starting somewhere around 1983. The idea is that it’s Lily in high school, so we wanted to give it a nice long run before it turns into the 90s when she’d be meeting Rufus.

The “Gossip Girl” episode during which Lily made a list of all the men she’d slept with… should we have been pausing our DVRs and looking closely at that list? Any of those guys going to pop up should the show go to series in the fall?
SS:
Well the names on that list were mostly our crew members’ names, and that’s largely just for legal reasons. A lot of the guys that would have been on Lily’s list, that are on the list in her mind, are guys that are older and have families now and they don’t necessarily want to be associated with Lily’s past. But we’ll still be telling those stories, definitely.

How would you describe the tone of the show? Comparable to “Fast Times”? “Valley Girl”? “Less Than Zero”?
SS: It’s kind of, I think, a combination of all of those. We definitely didn’t want it to be joke-y and campy and we worked really hard, and I think succeeded — knock on wood — in terms of the fashion and the music and the production design, to make something that felt fun, definitely, but also grounded in a reality where we could tell dramatic stories. So you’re not, like, having an emotional scene where you’re [distracted by] their makeup or their ponytail or their shoulder pads. We wanted to keep the show aspirational, in terms of the clothes and the music. Young women who watch “Gossip Girl” to get ideas about fashion will also want to watch this to get ideas about fashion. They’ll be slightly different ideas, but it still feels aspirational and like something that you’d want to be a part of, rather than make fun of. And we hope we can turn people on to music that they don’t know, or movies or TV shows that they may have heard of, but never really watched.

Not going to lie, I’m psyched for the fashion.
SS:
When we were shooting it, we were looking around at each other going, Oh my God, my hair is so flat, I have no volume, my clothes are really boring, I have to work on my accessories.

And what about the music, will it be more mainstream 80s or edgy…?
SS:
Well both, we definitely have different worlds represented in our show. The Los Angeles punk scene is represented. And then there are the more obvious KROQ radio hits. Jumping between these two worlds is important to the show. Lily is living with her sister in the Valley and kind of hanging out in the punk rock scene, but she and her sister come from a wealthy family and their parents are more aligned with a Pacific Palisades/Beverly Hills/Malibu, “Less Than Zero” world. So her struggle, kind of as it is in “Gossip Girl,” is to try and figure out what kind of world she wants to be in.

Will the music include songs that were actually recorded and released in the 80s or will you be using new bands that have kind of an 80s sound and feel to them?
SS: The music that the characters are listening to will be true to the period. But we definitely want to use newer music that has an 80s feel to it as well. And we also want to have new bands who can kind of do cameos as a period band.

Anyone you have your eye on?
SS:
Well, in our first pilot episode that is going to air as part of “Gossip Girl” [tonight], we have “No Doubt.” They are playing “Snowed Out,” their fictional 80s counterparts!

Love it. Last thing, I have to know, if the show gets picked up, are you really going to cast actors to play the 80s versions of “O.C.” characters Jimmy Cooper and Kirsten Nichol?
SS:
I don’t think it would be a huge part of the show, but it’s always been in the back of our minds that Lily’s character comes from California and, coming from Montecito, she may have crossed paths with our Newport Beach characters. They grew up around the same time. And it’s something we’re able to do because Warner Brothers and [executive producer] Josh [Schwartz] control those characters, so we can bring them to life if we chose to do that. It could be a lot of fun…

Rufus sought the truth about a child he never knew and discovered that Lily ran away from their relationship in the past because she gave birth to a son overseas. The baby was adopted by a suburban family and the adoptive parents said that he died out of sailing accident but the truth came out that he was indeed alive and is coming to Upper East Side. The finale will air on The CW Monday, May 18. Meanwhile, the May 11 episode has got a new sneak peek where a prom party is held and the queen and king are nominated.

I don’t know if they’ll use it, but I was able to see some of it, and it looked fantastic.” So there you have it! Gossip Girl plus Wonder Years equals amazing! Source: Kristin on E!Online

A little “GG” Q&A, answers courtesy of exec producer Stephanie Savage

Have the “Gossip Girl” producers read all the “Gossip Girl” books? I’m curious to know how familiar they are with them. -Kris
Savage told me they read most of the books. And they got familiar with the stories in the ones they skipped by studying summaries. As fans of both the books and the show already know though, the producers are on their own path: “A lot of the stories we’re telling are not in the books whatsoever — the whole Chuck and Blair romance [for example] — so there’s not a lot of material we can draw on. [The show] has to grow and expand and be its own thing.”

Everyone’s all about Chuck-Blair/Blair-Nate blah blah blah. What about Jenny and Nate? I thought they were great together. Will we ever see them reunited?
Sounds like it. Just not anytime soon. Said Savage, “Nate and Jenny is actually a really big story in the books and we sort of dipped our toe into that pool a few times. As the characters get older and start to feel the same age, that is definitely material I think we can revisit.”

There’s no way all the “Gossip Girl” kids would end up staying in NYC after high school graduation. Please tell me that’s not going to happen.
I read this question to Stephanie and she responded by saying, “Well, New York is a pretty big city.” Personally, I think they should let Dan go off to Yale. We can see him every now and then when he comes home to visit or when Jenny goes down to Connecticut for college debauchery weekends with big brother… but somehow I doubt that’ll happen. Still, Savage ensures there will for sure be changes: “It really is kind of a major — and I think very exciting — reconfiguration of the show, to leave high school behind and to allow all of our characters to reinvent themselves outside of that construct. They’ll [discover] what it means to kind of be a part of the bigger world, so you can expect to see new couples, new family configurations, people living in different places than you last saw them. We’re having a lot of fun thinking about that… keep everything that everyone loves [about “Gossip Girl”], but also really kind of move everyone forward as well.”

Is Vanessa going to school next year? Will she continue her education?
Savage said we’ll have to wait and see, but she also said, don’t forget, Vanessa took her SATs.

Any more major “Gossip Girl” deaths I should expect?
Nah. Stephanie doesn’t see that happening. “I think we have a pretty tight cast and I think we would only be interested in adding, not subtracting.”

More Dorota please.
Not to worry, Savage said they knew Dorota was a super star straight away and will continue writing for her. Were you aware that the actress who plays her, Zuzanna Szadkowski, actually speaks Polish, so the producers decide what they want Dorota to say and then rely on Zuzanna to translate it for her character’s lines?

On “Gossip Girl” I need to know, will Dan and Blair ever be romantically involved?
The producers aren’t opposed to it. When I questioned Stephanie about a Dan-Blair pairing, she said, “There are only so many characters on our show, so everyone needs to be open to being with everyone at some point.”

Vicki in Las Vegas: Gossip Girl!
Serena did not really get married, this is a bit of an off week for Blair (she’s in a funk because of her love problemos) and Chuck apologizes to Jenny for that time he tried to get up on her in the pilot (back when Gossip Girl still showed depraved indifference to everything, before it turned into a modern comedy-of-manners masterpiece), but let’s talk about the most important thing: Dorota-sodes are coming! Gossip Girl Episode Recap: ‘Seder Everything’

‘Gossip Girl’: Serena gets married, and one memorable Passover Seder….

Several things became apparent in tonight’s “Gossip Girl.” First, it’s never a good idea to stay in Spain with your friend’s (now) ex-boyfriend “to keep him company.” Second, Blair is a lot less fun when she’s flailing about and selling out whatever principles she’s clinging to rather than being on the offensive. And third, none of these people should ever be allowed within 10 miles of a Passover Seder again….READ FULL RECAP

Dan: Hello. Since when did my apartment become your watering hole of choice?
Vanessa: Rufus and Jenny let me in on their way out. Thought I’d wait for you and we’d play a little ‘I Never!’ I kind of already started.
Dan: Yeah, I can see that. *cracks the top off a beer*
Vanessa: I’ll go first…I never slept with Chuck Bass. *CHUGS* (Dan looks hilariously disgusted) That’s why I’ve been avoiding you. I know, it’s…repulsive!
Dan: It is…completely repulsive. But you’ve gone through a lot lately. I mean, the whole Blair/Nate reunion and all, (something I can’t understand) so you get no judgment from me. Everyone makes mistakes, at least once. I never…nearly slept with Georgina Sparks. *drinks*

Dan: yeah…there’s that. Wait, why does my life suck right now?

be found onlien yet, either.
Okay, so, I just saw a sneak peak for 221. And I thought I would share. I can’t upload it, I’m sorry. It’s no where to
The scene starts with Serena walking back into her room having just got home after her trip to Spain. There’s a guy who carries her luggage into the room and then leaves. Chuck appears at her door. Says “The prodogial daughter returns”. Asks her how Spain was, Serena replies with “Amazing, perfect” rather…nervously. Chuck says he’s sure, since her and Poppy were dancing on table tops in Barcelona and sun-bathing topless at some coastal region. Serena says more like her, Poppy and Gabriel. She tries to push Chuck out the door, who moves. Says she just read, ate, swam. Chuck asks again about the nude sunbathing and Serena just nervously looks around, then behind her. Asks if Lilly is around.

Chuck says he hasn’t seen her, but he has been occupied. Random nobody walks through the door. In a dress. Chuck calls her “last night’s entertainment”. She walks out the door, Chuck says she’s a swimmer. Serena says “so you found a way to get over Blair then?”. Chuck says there was a detour with a boho barista, but then he realised he’s a 17 year old billionaire. With tremedous stamina. Tonight Chuck has another date with a ballerina.

Then Chuck goes “By the way, I saw Poppy Lifton at the Rose Bar last week. It’s funny how she can be there, yet still be in Spain with you”. Chuck drinks from his tiny tea cup.

Serena looks shocked/guilty. Chuck leaves. Clip ends.
