90210 Season 3 Spoilers! Senior Year!

90210: The third season welcomes the West Beverly kids to their senior year of high school. It’s the time of college acceptances and lovers’ rejections, the time of prom dates and promises betrayed, the time of spring break, break-ups and make-ups – but as is always the case in Beverly Hills, it all happens in a world of sun and fun, palm trees and warm sea breezes, success and excess.  From the very beginning of the school year, the lives of the West Beverly group will be shaken up in a way none of them could ever imagine. And from this new starting point, their journeys will take them to staggering new heights and terrifying new depths. We’ll see the rise of a pop sensation and the fall of a group of friends, the beginning of a new love and the end of a professional dream, the creation of an unlikely family and the demise of another.  And that’s just the first week of school… It’s now or never for the students of West Beverly, and they’re not going to waste a moment of time. Expectations are high, hormones are raging, and scandals are hiding around every corner. From the brightest moments of love and happiness to the darkest hours of shame and fear, senior year at West Beverly promises to be an unforgettable journey.

Take a good look at the photo to your left. One of the three studmuffins—okay, two studmuffins and one very handsome young man—will come tumbling out of the closet on 90210 this fall.

And this isn’t some sort of angst-fueled, bi-curious sweeps arc à la Adrianna’s season 2 flirtation with Rumer Willis. We will learn that the straight-acting character in question—let the record show that we’re referring to Matt Lanter’s recovering rebel Liam, Michael Steger’s smart and tenderhearted Navid, or Trevor Donovan’s tennis pro Teddy—is actually gay.

How can I be so sure? Well, for starters, one of the show’s producers is confirming it. “We want to address the issue in a real and relatable way,” says co-EP Jennie Urman, who says the coming-out plot is but one of several “great story lines” fans can look forward to in season 3.

90210 Season Finale Recap: 2.22 “Confession”

‘90210’ season finale spells boatloads of trouble

Source: Television Without Pity

shenae-grimes-matt-lanter-90210-confessions-320.jpgAAdrianna and Navid Lite bond over being narcissistic twits for a bit, and NL inadvertently takes credit for Actual Navid’s cutesy charm bracelet. Actual Navid sees the bracelet on AAdrianna, flips out, barges into a taping of Blaze Live, and screams his true feelings in front of literally everyone at West Bev (via TV). On the upside, AAdrianna admits she likes him too, so it could have gone much, much worse. On the downside, NL is not a man who will take “no” for an answer. He reiterates his offer to take AAdrianna on tour over the summer — all the better for him to steal her away from Navid again.

Annie and Liam bond over their mutual criminal pasts, prompting him to call it quits with lying, self-centered Naomi. Before admitting his misdeeds to Stepdaddy Dearest, he invites Annie to take the born-again-virgin voyage on his handcrafted boat. Lulled by the gentle slapping of the waves against wood and wrapped cozily in a Baja blanket, she confesses to being a certifiable hobo killer. Liam takes her in his arms to console her, getting Jasper (who’s watching from a distance like the stalker he is) blazing mad — enough so to firebomb the S.S. Coin Swiper. Unfortunately, Annie isn’t on the boat at the time because she’s gone home to tell her parents about her murderin’ ways. Fortunately, Liam’s not. He intercepts crutch-crippled Jasper rowing back to shore and beats the ever-loving p*** out of the spikey-haired bandit.

Naomi, meanwhile, reacts about as badly and b****ily to getting dumped as you might expect, then makes a knee-jerk turnabout and launches into an out-of-tune rendition of “Single Ladies,” thankfully without the dance. Eat your heart out, Minnelli! After a big school event leaves her feeling more alone than ever, she finds herself back at West Bev, with car trouble. She seeks help in the only person around — the man she falsely accused of sexually harassing her. Except this time he decides to take advantage of her destroyed credibility to get all rape-y. Boom goes the Cannon!

90210 – Spoiler Chat – E! Online – 4-19-2010

I just can’t get on board with Gia and Adrianna on 90210. I miss her and Navid being together. Any hope?
Well, I’d say yes, after sitting down with Michael Steger to talk about the rest of the season. He says Navid and Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) “develop a strong friendship again.” That’s good news, yes? I can also tell you that their bond gets stronger because of some changes in her music career. And what of Navid’s new girl Lila (Amber Wallace)? “We take it to another level, but it’s a temporary thing,” Michael dishes. So hope is lost for all you Adrianna/Navid fans!

90210 – Newbie Sets off Sexting Scandal

When the new season of 90210 premieres on Tuesday, we’ll find Annie (Shenae Grimes) still dealing with her prom night hit-and-run.
But that’s not all she’s going to have to worry about.
A beach club party hook up with West Beverly Hills High School senior and football star Mark Driscoll, played by newcomer Blake Hood, leads to a scandal that appears to have been ripped from any number of Hollywood headlines.
“We get together and I do something I shouldn’t have done,” Hood tells me.
Uh-oh.
Read on for more of the dramarama details…
“I take a picture of her that I probably shouldn’t have taken and oops, guess what? It gets around a little bit,” Hood says.
Despite the messiness, Hood says Mark does try to help Annie get through the sext scandal. “It’s definitely a relationship that kind of sticks around for a while,” Hood says, adding, “He’s a good guy who has done a couple of bad things, has made some mistakes.”
Hood, a Dallas native who moved to L.A. three years ago, laughs when asked if he has secret real-life NSFW pics or video of his own stashed away somewhere. “Maybe that’s something to strive for,” he cracks. “You know you’ve made it when you have a sex tape.”

We chatted exclusively with Ryan Eggold (Ryan Matthews), and he says we can expect more complicated romances this season: “The fun thing about season two is that all the relationships from season one have time to become more exciting and more gray; they are less defined,” he said. “I know that I have another love triangle. I’m constantly stuck in those. This one is with a student and a new female character.” Who do you think Ryan will get tangled up with? Predict in the comments below! For more 90210 spoilers, be sure to check out this article about another hot new relationship on the show. P.S. We’ve seen some of 90210 season two (more on that in a future item), and the new season is so, so, so much better than season one. Whole new look, better storylines, cooler outfits, and with all respect to Dustin Milligan, you won’t miss Ethan for a second because the new guys (like Trevor Donovan, pictured left) are better-looking and a great deal more interesting.

90210 – Liam and Annie reunite?

Amalia Zinser is joining the cast as Ivy, a tomboy surfer girl who becomes a new love interest for Liam (and Dixon). As Lanter tells us, “Naomi and I have some obstacles to get through.”Still, there’s hope. Lanter says that he and AnnaLynne are rooting for their characters: “We want it to happen. Liam is trying to find a way to basically tell Naomi what happened, but he’s trying to be sensitive because it’s her sister.”

90210 – Latest from Kristin

Are Silver and Dixon over on 90210, or is there hope for them?
We don’t want to give false hope, but Jessica Stroup teases, “Will you see us kiss? Yes. Will we continue to kiss for the whole season? I don’t know.” While both have new love interests coming in, they still care for each other. Tristan Wilds tells us, “It’s definitely a rocky relationship. We’re having our ups and our downs. You never know where we fall, but right now we’re separated.”

Any more 90210 scoop?
Supersexy newbie Trevor Donovan is coming onboard as the rich son of an Oscar winner who stirs things up with Adrianna and Navid. “I have a connection with Adrianna. We have a little past, so obviously I’m creating a little tension, a little drama,” says Donovan. Is he a bad boy? “Not intentionally. He is causing a little trouble, but he’s somewhat oblivious to it.”

90210 scoop, please.

Don’t worry about Kelly getting involved in any rumored love triangles. “I definitely am not going to allow Kelly to be a homewrecker,” Jennie Garth told us exclusively. “The producers and I have talked about it. It’s not something I’m interested in, and it’s not something they’re going to do.” Why not some added drama? “I’ve spent too many years trying to create this woman other women can trust,” she said.

Are we even going to see Dustin Milligan at all on 90210, or is Ethan gone for good?
Gone for good, though Jessica Stroup tells us, “Ethan is happy in his world. He’s doing his thing wherever he is. He gets a mention and is talked about a little bit, but he’s happy.” Are you happy with that? Discuss in the comments.

90210 – Jennie Garth back

Reports of Jennie Garth’s banishment from 90210 have been greatly exaggerated. The BH vet has inked a deal to return this fall for multiple episodes, sources confirm to me exclusively. Garth reappears in episode 3 when Kelly gives Harry advice on how to deal with his, ahem, situation with Annie.

Last month, Ausiello reported that producers had not yet approached Garth about returning for season 2, leading some to wonder how far new boss Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair was planning to scale back the nostalgia factor. At the time, a show rep insisted that ”the intention is to have Jennie back.” And gosh dammit, they weren’t lying! Happy Kelly’s returning? Theories about Annie’s “situation”? Sound off below! Any idea who Annie hit with her car on 90210? AnnaLynne McCord tells us the 90210 cast just found out last week, and “It’s really bad.” Hit the comments with your guesses as to who it is or who you want it to be! As for Naomi in the upcoming second season, AnnaLynne teases, “Obviously there was a horrible ending for poor Naomi. She is over Liam, and she is over Annie. She goes through the first half of the season really trying to prove that to herself. I don’t think she’s really over him, but we’ll see that push and pull.” Speaking of Liam, Matt Lanter spills, “We’re going to get into his family life a little bit more. It’s 90210 so I’m sure there are going to be some new romances and some jealousy and backstabbing.” Source: TV Guide Online

Will Adrianna and Naomi reconcile with Annie on 90210? As far as Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord), Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) and Annie (Shenae Grimes) being best buds in the second season (something some of you would like to see), AnnaLynne says, “Never. Not going to happen. I’m sorry. I wish.”… Any scoop on 90210? I’m in for the long haul. Michael Steger tells us, “They’re talking about renovating the Blaze newsroom, so it’s going to be where everything happens and everybody meets up. They’re going to make it very loungey, very comfortable.” (The Blaze newsroom is where we’ll meet Rumer Willis‘ character when she guests in a season-two episode.) Source: Kristin on E!Online

‘90210’: Rumer Willis signs on

Rumerwillis_290 The cast of “90210” continues to grow for season two. The latest addition? Bruce and Demi’s oldest daughter, Rumer Willis. Willis will appear on “at least one episode” of the show next season, says Access Hollywood. She’ll be playing a “punky cute lesbian” named Gia who works on the West Bev newscast, Blaze News, with Adrianna, Navid and Silver. She joins fellow newbie Trevor Donovan, who’ll be a regular on the show next season as the charming, handsome Teddy.

Who’s going to hook up with the new stud on 90210? Please say Kelly. MICKEY: Kelly?! She will be his guidance counselor. As usual, I’m hearing that Annie and Naomi will scratch each other’s eyes out volleying for the tennis stud’s attention, but that his love will belong to Silver, who returns to feisty form this season. (Any suggestions for who should play Teddy’s Clooney-esque movie-star dad? I’m thinking Peter Gallagher would totally rock it.)

Meet Trevor Donovan, ‘90210’s’ new hottie

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Trevordonovan_90210_290 A few weeks back, Korbi brought you her first impressions of the guy who’s supposed to set hearts aflutter on “90210” this fall. We now have a name and a face to put to the character: that of former Abercrombie & Fitch model and “Days of Our Lives” actor Trevor Donovan. So, mission accomplished? Donovan has been cast on “90210” as Teddy, EW.com reports. The character is a tennis champ whose dad is an A-list celeb and who’s returning to West Beverly after an as-yet-unexplained absence. Teddy also has charm to spare, at least based on the audition scene Korbi got her hands on recently. Donovan shouldn’t have any problem turning heads — the guy was a model, after all. He also did a stint as bad boy Jeremy Horton on “Days of Our Lives” in 2007. The only issue we see at the moment is that he’ll be playing a good deal younger than his actual age (30, according to IMDB). But that’s a long-standing “90210” tradition too (see Perry, Luke; Carteris, Gabrielle). Heck, Donovan even shares a birthday (Oct. 11) with Perry. What do you think? Does the casting of Donovan spike your interest for season two of “90210”?

Is ‘90210’ finally casting a character we can fall in love with?

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Cast_90210 “Veronica Mars”‘ Logan Echolls. “Friday Night Lights”‘ Tim Riggins. “Gossip Girl”‘s Chuck Bass. These are the names that first come to mind when I think of charming, swoon-worthy men of the small screen. It’s characters like these that make a series great and it’s characters like these that “90210” is currently lacking.

But, perhaps, not for long.
Sure, the show added Liam (Matt Lanter) to the cast towards the end of last season and, yes, he’s hot. But, as any true TV fan knows, it takes more than good looks to create a star. Some combination of expertly written dialogue and solid comedic timing is necessary as well and, I don’t know, “90210” may just be catching on to that formula with the forthcoming addition of “Teddy.”
Last week, we told you that “90210” will welcome a recurring character in the fall, a high school tennis champ with a movie star pops who possesses “Clooney-esque” charm. I didn’t think much of this at first, but a friend just floated me the audition material for this kid and, I must say, I already kind of want to make out with him.
In the scene I read, Teddy is one-on-one with Silver, who he manages to keep on her toes. He seems funny, smart, sweet, not over-the-top, yet not underwhelming. He calls her out during their little chat, but in a laid back, non-threatening sort of way. And with a smile.
I mean, who knows, maybe I’m being stupidly optimistic. Maybe this kid will fall sort of flat like so many of the other boys on the show. But I’m telling you now that there is hope.
At this point, I believe The CW and the “90210” producers are still auditioning a slew of dude actors for the role and this is obviously a key part to the puzzle. But I caution the casting team, don’t get caught up in pretty faces who can simply deliver a line sufficiently. Teddy must possess something special. After all, guys like Jason Dohring, Taylor Kitsch and Ed Westwick are not traditionally handsome men. But their charm and humor elevates their sex appeal to a whole ‘nother level. Of course you can’t drop the ball on the dialogue you’re writing for this character either, that’s perhaps the most important part of the equation. So, yeah, I hope you guys are adding a smart new scribe or two to your staff this summer as well.

‘90210’ Bringing The Beverly Hills Beach Club Back

The teens of West Beverly are getting a summer hangout! “90210” producers are bringing back the Beverly Hills Beach Club, a rep for the network confirmed to Access Hollywood. Both Brandon Walsh and Dylan McKay worked at the beachfront property, which became a hangout for the original gang, including Brenda Walsh and Kelly Taylor. The BHBC will be featured throughout the summer on the new “90210,” The CW told Access, and may help foster romances among the West Beverly kids. The original filming location was also used as a hangout for Zack Morris and the gang on “Saved By The Bell,” however it was called the Malibu Sands Beach Club in the NBC series. But it appears that filming on the new “90210” will not be able to take place in the original location. The series of buildings sustained damage in the 1994 Northridge earthquake. The CW told Access that some of the scenes will be filmed at an undisclosed location, while others will be shot on a set. “90210” resumes production in June. Source: NBC Universal, Inc.

Has there ever been an official explanation for why Dustin Milligan was cut from 90210? MICKEY: At the recent Paley Festival, new show-runner Rebecca Rand Kirshner said, “I was sort of stumped by [Ethan]. I didn’t feel like there was the longevity in that character that I wanted. And so it was a real loss.” Unofficially, I’m hearing that Ethan’s departure has paved the way for a new male lead of a very different stripe. More on him later… Source: TV Guide

Any scoop on the aftermath of Annie killing someone in the 90210 finale? We asked Annie’s (Shenae Grimes) 90210 co-star Jessica Stroup that very question: “Of course it’s going to change Annie inevitably. She’s going to be a totally different character. I think next year is going to be amazing for her because she’s going to go through a lot of changes with this character and down some really, really dark roads. I hope, at least, that it affects every one of us. I know that it’s going to affect all the characters, but I hope it brings us back together at some point as a whole group.” Source: Kristin on E!Online

90210 Exclusive: Meet Ethan’s Replacement

Source: TV Guide Online

AnnaLynne McCord, Dustin Milligan, Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, Jessica Stroup, Michael Steger

We were all sad to see the charming Dustin Milligan get the heave-ho from 90210 this spring, but fear not! TVGuide.com has learned exclusively that West Bev is getting a new shot of testosterone in the fall, courtesy a new recurring character. Known as “Teddy” in the character breakdown, the new man in town is a tennis champ who is also the son of a famous movie star. He is described as “returning to West Beverly,” which immediately made me think that he was the man behind the wheel of that bumper-stickered Mercedes that witnessed Annie hit… whatever it is that she hit on her season-finale joyride. Teddy’s charm is described as “Clooney-esque,” which will surely send all the ladies’ hearts a-flutter. That is, until it actually causes the inevitable rift/catfight among Silver, Annie and Naomi, thus teaching our young girls that when looking for a potential suitor, don’t let anything get in your way, least of all your best friends. All other women are evil and should be considered competition. That is all. Who do you think should be cast as 90210‘s “Teddy”?

Dustin Milligan Done with ‘90210′

Dustin Milligan

Source: BuddyTV

The next season of 90210 would have to go on without good guy Ethan, as Entertainment Weekly has just reported that Canadian actor Dustin Milligan won’t be returning to the show this fall. He may be one-half of the series’ central super couple, but he has no power over major decisions such as this.

An insider from the series revealed that Milligan’s contract option will not be picked up for 90210’s sophomore run. However, he might be back to wrap up his character’s story in a multi-episode arc.

Apparently, the reasons for Milligan’s departure are rooted in the creative vision of the writers and had nothing to do with financial matters. Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair, the new boss of 90210, admitted to EW’s Michael Ausiello about season 2 being “significantly” different than the first.

It looks as if it’s going to be quite a reboot, especially with Sinclair’s idea to “reconceive things visually.” She also maintained that “There are opportunities to embrace California culture visually in terms of fashion and style; I want it to be more contemporary.”

“If Gossip Girl is about youth in New York,” she explains, “I want to [make 90210] about youth in L.A. and Beverly Hills.”

Another point she’s hoping to raise is that 90210 won’t be relying on the original’s alums to boost their ratings. This could also mean a farewell to the likes of Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling. It only seems fit since writer-producer Sinclair already took the helm from the original show-running duo of Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs.

“The show tried to be a lot of things to a lot of people in its first season,” Sinclair said. “I think the center lies with the generation of kids that are in high school now. I’m not interested in casting people for stunt value.”

This goes the same for Dustin Milligan, who’ll surely be missed. “Everyone loves Ethan,” said the 90210 insider. “There was just a feeling that the character had run its course.”

90210 Season Finale Episode Recap: ‘One Party Can Ruin Your Whole Summer’

Source: TV Guide Online

In 90210‘s first season finale, Naomi defies her sister’s wishes by throwing a post-prom party at her house, but she ends up pushing Annie to her breaking point after accusing her of something she didn’t do. Meanwhile, Brenda visits Adrianna in the hospital after she gives birth, and Ethan confesses a secret.

Naomi, Jen & Liam
This week’s finale episode starts right where we left off last week. The kids are leaving the prom and heading to an after-party. Naomi is trying to tell her sister about the amazing convo she and Liam had about his mom and stepdad, but all she cares about is how her makeup looks. Phoebe, the girl who was initially throwing the post-prom party before Principal Harry put the kibosh on it, told Naomi she couldn’t find a parent-free house in which to par-tay. Naomi says they can use her place, but Jen chimes in that she doesn’t want a bunch of teens vomiting up their wine coolers on the carpet. Naomi tells Jen she’s the one footing the living expenses and thus is having the party. Uh-oh, the last thing you want to do is cross your pathological, manipulative big sis.

Naomi gets a text that Ade is in labor and puts Annie in charge of holding down the party fort while she’s gone. She apologizes to Liam for having to leave him high and dry, but now that they’re in lurve, he tells her he’ll meet her at her party. Liam also tells Naomi that everything he told her about her family is private. Sure, that shouldn’t be a problem. After all, she only told her sister Jen who would never, wait, yeah, this can’t good.

At the party, Jen is bitterly stomping around about not getting her way until she bumps into Liam. She introduces herself as Zelda the neighbor and pretends she overheard Liam’s story about his mom and stepdad from some gossipy girls Naomi told. And if laying false blame on her sister wasn’t bad enough, she offers to make the night “a lot more fun.” OMG, has she no shame to be sleeping with children?!

Naomi is by Ade’s side until the baby is born and quickly returns home to find Liam. She heads upstairs and walks into her bedroom to find Liam buttoning up his pants next to an unmade bed. He won’t tell her who the lucky lady is, but she finds a black wrap on the floor. Naomi tells him she never wants to see him again, and storms out. In comes a half-naked Jen prancing about trash-talking her sister. Liam is shocked to hear her say Naomi is her sister. Jen tells Liam that Naomi will never find out she was the girl because that would leave Naomi devastated, which he’d never do. Liam point-blank calls her a bitch and, well, she agrees.

Naomi & Annie
Storming out of her bedroom, Naomi goes straight to confront Annie because she is convinced that she’s the girl Liam bonked. Annie is clueless (as usual), but Naomi holds up Annie’s black wrap that she found in her room. Annie tells her she had to take Phoebe home after finding her head-first in the toilet. Naomi, not believing her, makes a scene. With everyone looking at them, various students start ganging up on Annie, since they think she’s the one who narced to her father about the original party venue.

Naomi, who thinks Annie has now stolen both Ethan and Liam from her, says, “Get out, Kansas skank.” Someone tosses a drink in her face and everyone starts laughing at her. Annie is stunned, shocked and, oh no, she’s gonna blow — the volcano’s going to erupt! In a scene reminiscent of Carrie, Annie screams at the top of her lungs and storms out of the house. But rather than igniting the house with her telekinetic powers, Annie does something worse: She calls the cops and reports the party. She also snags a to-go bottle of vodka for the road. Inside, a hysterical Naomi is comforted by her two-faced sister — until we hear police sirens outside.

Later that night, Liam leaves Naomi a voicemail; he needs to talk to her. But next thing you know, two very large men storm in his room and physically rip him out of his bed. His stepfather hired them to take him to a “wilderness therapy program.” Perhaps he won’t being telling Naomi the truth anytime soon.

The next morning, a disheveled, possibly drunk Annie tears down a mountain road and accidentally hits something. For a second, she appears to be in shock, but just as quickly, she spies a car in her rear-view mirror and drives away. What is that dark, lifeless lump she leaves in her wake? A deer? A large dog? A person?!

As she drives away, we see a Mercedes (West Bev bumper sticker, California license plate 2WAQ233, which Google tells me was also the tag on the car that Shannen Doherty’s character drove in Charmed) pull up beside the dark, lifeless lump. Uh-oh, busted!

Ethan, Dixon & Silver
Dixon is still moping about that fact that Silver called him a “prom-loving loser.” At the after-party, he opens up to his bud Ethan. Dixon tells him that sometimes he wants a regular girlfriend who like things like prom, but Ethan tries to tell him being different is what makes Silver so great. (Because he totally wants to have 10,000 of her babies.) Lo and behold, my hunch proves true, as moments later we see Ethan stare lovingly at a picture of Silver he pulled from his jacket pocket.

Later in the evening, and because this is television, Silver also seeks relationship advice from Ethan. He tells her they’re a great couple and not to worry about things. She thanks him with a hug and tells him he’s wearing Dixon’s suit jacket by accident. So, the two swap their jackets back.

Silver and a bunch of girls jump in the pool (must be nice to be able drop a small fortune on a dress without worrying about what diving into a chlorinated pool will do to it) and Ethan admires her from afar. Dixon notices and confronts Ethan about his feelings. Ethan tries to play dumb, but Dixon tells Ethan he found the picture he had of Silver in the jacket after they swapped back. Dixon just wants him to admit it, but Ethan wants him to drop it. Dixon keeps pushing him to come clean and eventually he does — to Silver! “I like you,” he says, which is the high school equivalent of a Shakespearean sonnet.

Embarrassed, Ethan turns and leaves, but shortly after, Silver chases after him. She gets him to stop and she says she doesn’t know how to handle this news since they’re just friends. Without a word, Ethan grabs her and the two share a steamy kiss (a solid 10 seconds long, most likely with tongue). “I don’t think we’re just friends,” says Ethan. He wants something other than friendship or else he won’t be able to have anything with her at all. It’s Silver’s choice. He does pose an interesting question though. “Why are you out here talking to me instead of inside talking to your boyfriend?”

IT’S A BABY GIRL!

Navid and Ade arrive at the hospital where Navid steps up to the plate and makes sure that Ade is taken care of. Meanwhile, at Harry’s alcohol-free “Post-Prom-a-Palooza,” the non-drinking portion of the sophomore class are having sundaes and listening to a little a cappella rap. Harry, Debbie and Kelly head out to the hospital as soon as they find out Ade’s in labor — but not before Harry steals some delicious brownies that he and his wife share. (Oldest trick in the TV book, by the way. Who didn’t see this one coming down Broadway?)

Adrianna, who’s three weeks early, is stressing about giving birth too soon, especially when she finds out she has to have an emergency C-section. Luckily, her daughter is born at a healthy 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and Navid brings her into Ade’s room. Sadly, she doesn’t want to see the baby, which will just make giving her up for adoption even more difficult.

In a completely random storyline, Harry and Debbie are in the waiting room when they suddenly start cracking each other up. Um, could there have been a little somethin’-somethin’ in those brownies? (Yes, duh. We knew way up there, two paragraphs ago!) “The nerds had pot brownies,” Harry proclaims. They try to figure out what to do next since they can’t drive stoned, but Kelly offers to get them snacks from the vending machines until their high passes. For some reason, Debbie thinks Kelly has a crush on Harry — a plot diversion that pretty much goes nowhere for now.

As Ade is in her bed, she’s surprised to get a visit from Brenda (who’s supposed to be in China) in a Cleopatra costume. She tells Ade her show has been extended and that she leaves for Beijing in the morning. When Ade tells her that she just played the same part, Brenda tells her they’re “two of a kind”: They both love drama and both live pretty dramatic lives. Brenda takes Ade on a dreamy, woozy walk to the cafeteria — and she’s acting mighty odd. They come across a patient room with “Walsh, Jim” written outside the door. Ade asks if he’s related to Brenda. “Yeah that’s my father. He’s dying, actually,” she says, nonchalantly. Say whaaa?! Brenda then shares her love for Jell-O with the little marshmallows. Ade, dumbfounded by Brenda’s bizarre behavior and detachment from the situation, tells her she should be with her dad if he’s dying. Brenda says she’s not ready to say goodbye because it’s too painful. Ade tells her she’ll regret it her whole life, and suddenly Brenda introduces Ade to her Chinese dragon. Cut to Ade waking from a dream. And what’s the first thing she does? She goes straight to see her baby, even if it is painful to say goodbye.

Navid sees Ty in the waiting room and both are a bit battered and bruised from their fight earlier in the night. Ty hands over his parental waiver and, believe it or not, a cigar as peace offering. He thanks Navid for being there for Ade and tells him he respects him.

Ade is holding her baby in her room and Brenda arrives again — in reality this time. Navid enters and says the adoptive parents have arrived. Ade starts to get upset about saying goodbye. Brenda tells her adoption is a “wonderful gift,” and reveals that she knows this firsthand because she was in China adopting a little girl who is now with her mom and dad. (That means Jim Walsh is not hospitalized — phew!)

What did you think of the season finale? Did Annie kill someone? Are you glad the pregnancy storyline is over? Do Silver and Ethan make a better couple than Silver and Dixon? And how long before Naomi finds out about Jen and Liam?

Jessica Stroup Dishes on 90210 Season Finale

Source: Kristin on E!Online

Jessica Stroup, 90210

Before you even think about clicking into this item, ask yourself the following question: Do you want to know who kills someone in the season finale of 90210?

For the spoilerphobes, steer clear until you finish the episode tonight. However, if you’re all for knowing what happens and where next season is taking us, Jessica Stroup spills all the juicy details below. Even more importantly, if you’ve seen the episode already, grab your postprom party gear and get on in here!

This season, you go from fun yet cynical blogger to having bipolar disorder. How did it feel playing Silver this year? This year was, for me, a journey. The journey that I took with Silver was one that I got to experience fully as myself as well. I’ve never played a character that I really respected and responded to as much as Silver. I just felt that she was such a smart, witty, strong girl who was turning into a woman. As the story went along and as we chose paths to try with her—to go down the love path, the parent path, the bipolar situation—I really saw her changing into an even stronger person. She started off with so many ideas and opinions, and she expressed them through a blog. People weren’t afraid of her, but they knew that she was an outspoken person and not to piss her off. I think she really came into her own through discovering more of herself through having this disease. It’s nowhere from being done. This season finishes out on so many levels as a cliffhanger, and a lot of her stuff, including the Dixon (Tristan Wilds) relationship, the Ethan (Dustin Milligan) relationship and her relationship with herself, with this disease, has really only just begun. The path that she’s on, she’s just now started to go on. I’m really excited to see where it goes next year, and I hope people can respond to what’s happened with her.

Ethan and Dixon have a serious thrown-down in the finale. Now, especially with Dustin leaving the show, how is that going to affect Dixon and Silver’s relationship next year?
I have talked to [executive producer] Rebecca [Rand Kirshner Sinclair], and I’ve talked to some of the writers. I’m curious to see where they’re really going to go. I know that next year is going to start with a whole fresh start. The whole season is going to be different. Some storylines might just evolve and disappear—or just reappear. Ethan and Dixon, although they only met this past year and this is a brand-new friendship for them, they still became really good friends. It was never Ethan’s intention to ruin that relationship. It just happened. He couldn’t deny what his feelings are for her after letting them flourish while watching her at the prom. I’m curious to see where Ethan goes and what path they choose to take for him.

We’re wondering the same thing because Rebecca said to us before that Dustin is not going to be back next season at all, but she also said his leaving has nothing to do with the death. Do you think that’s who Annie (Shenae Grimes) hits with her car? I know you can’t say, but who do you think it is?
The funny thing is we all have theories. Every single of one of my castmates has a theory, and we have talked about it. We’ve gone through scenarios. I’ve said things like, “It’s Ty! It’s Brandon Walsh’s dad!” We’ve said everything. We have no idea. I’m really curious as well. My pick, if I could pick who I think it could be, I think it would be interesting if it was Dixon, but not dying! I don’t want anyone to die. I don’t want it to be Dixon, but I think it would be a really interesting storyline for Annie to hit her brother and drive off drunkenly.

How do you think the death is going to affect everyone next year?
Of course it’s going to change Annie inevitably. She’s going to be a totally different character. As awful as it is with drunk driving, and playing that character was hard for Shenae, but I think she plays that really well. She has a whole other depth to her, a whole other side. I think next year is going to be amazing for her because she’s going to go through a lot of changes with this character and down some really, really dark roads. I hope, at least, that it affects every one of us. I know that it’s going to affect all the characters, but I hope it brings us back together at some point as a whole group. I really want that whole bonding. Besides Ethan who’s going to be leaving obviously, I love playing that group bond. At some point next season, you’re really going to start to see it all coming together, with us becoming stronger as a whole.

This is a pretty twisted finale for a first season show.
When I read it, I was like, “whoa.” I did not see that coming at all.

For the fans who haven’t seen the finale, what would you like to tell them or tease for them to get as many fans glued to the TV set tonight?
For me, I haven’t seen it, and I am dying to see it. I read the script—I was there working on it—but to see the final product, and I know how amazing and how much work went into the finale. I think it’s going to be amazing, and I hope everybody does watch it. It’s going to be exciting.

Annie goes pretty crazy in the finale. It looks like she took a page from Silver. Did you give her any tips about that?
No, that’s funny though. I’m excited to see what she did with it. She worked really hard and worked with some acting coaches and had fun with it.

By far, the Wilson parents accidentally getting high on pot brownies was probably one of the best parts.
Hilarious, right? That was one of my favorite parts. I thought it was hilarious. I wasn’t there when they were shooting it, but I just desperately wanted to see Rob Estes doing that.

It came off very, very well.
I’m sure it did. I’m like, “What kind of research did you do for this?”

The kiss between you and Ethan is pretty hot. Of course, that comes naturally to you guys.
[Laughs] What do you mean? I don’t know what you’re talking about. He’s a good friend of mine.

I know you might be biased, but who is the better kisser? Tristan or Dustin?
That is never going to be answered. They are both great boys. They’re both just different.

You’ve had so many alums come on the show, between Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty and, of course, Jennie Garth. Who would you like to see come on the show next season? I really hope my other brother-ish person, David Silver, comes back. I actually met Brian Austin Green before I ever started shooting. I was with one of my best friends at a Coffee Bean, and he was sitting there on the phone. I had just gotten the part, and I was freaking out, thinking I have to go talk to him—I have to tell him I’m playing his baby sister. Of course, he thought, “Who is this crazy chick hovering over me while I’m on the phone.” But he was supernice to me once I explained that I wasn’t a crazy stalker. I think he’s a great actor and is funny and hot, so why not come back?

You just said your show brother is hot.
I know. It could be a very weird situation for us.

When it comes down to it, are you for Silver and Dixon staying together next season? I am for them taking the situation that comes up at prom and actually working through it. I don’t want it to be something where they are just in the relationship, move on and are not friends anymore. I don’t want them to be over it. I want it to be something they talk about—something that they both seriously and maturely think about and whether or not this is detrimental to the foundation they built as a relationship. Do I want them to stay together? I love their coupling as a whole, but I think there are a lot of other places they both can go individually. Whether or not they do that together, I don’t know.

90210 Episode Recap 1.23: ‘Zero Tolerance’

‘90210’: Ethan wants to find himself… in Silver’s pants. Hey-o!

Source: Zap2it.com Recaps

Previously on “90210,” I Moan was scammed by her sister, Adrianna and Navid rethought their married with children nonsense, Silver asked Dixon to prom and Liam kept kind-of hitting on Annie. Tonight is Sophomore Prom, woo hoo!

The Wilsons
Principal Harry (with Annie’s help) gives a PSA entitled “Zero Tolerance” about after-prom parties and the subsequent suspension if you get caught at one. Principal Harry and Kelly also have to threaten Liam with military school (via Liam’s stepfather) if he doesn’t put forth some effort and get involved.

Harry also asks Annie to be his snitch about the prom after-parties. Man, you can’t do that to your kid! Low, Harry, low. At the actual prom, Harry overhears about a party stocked with booze and makes an announcement about how he’ll be at the party with the police. *Cringe* Everybody thinks Annie snitched.

Silver & Dixon
Silver picks out a strapless pink princess prom dress and she looks beautiful, even if it isn’t very “Silver.” At the actual prom, she freaks out and won’t leave the limo, but Ade talks her down, saying they’ll hardly notice Silver next to an 8-months pregnant girl. Snerk.

The Prom King and Queen are announced as Dixon and Silver (as a write-in) and I hold my breath that a bucket of pig’s blood is going to come cascading from the ceiling. I wouldn’t exactly cry if Silver used her mind to lock the doors and burn the place to the ground, though.

No pig’s blood, surprisingly, and Silver’s acceptance speech (about how much she hates proms) is awesome. Dixon looks stunned and Ethan looks lovestruck. When Silver removes her crown, I Moan takes it and puts it on her own head, which is also awesome.

Silver tells DIxon she’s ready to come back to West Bev but he is totally pissed at her because he’s a “zombie, prom-loving loser.” Ethan compliments her right on the heels of Dixon’s exit and she looks thoughtful.

I Moan, Sneaky Sister and Liam
When I Moan goes prom dress shopping, her card is declined. The ensuing confrontation with Sneaky Sister has Jen coming clean about her financial woes (she’s still not completely honest, though). I Moan takes it really well and is more hurt by the lying than the money fraud.

After prom, I Moan takes Liam on the Paramount backlot. They run into Kelly, who spills the beans about his stepfather, and I Moan puts it together that he only asked her to get involved in stuff. I Moan berates him about how much she likes him, then realizes he looked on her Facebook page to find out she likes black orchids for her corsage. Awww.

Sneaky Sister and Skeazy Teacher
Ryan the Chaperone (should he really be around dressed-much-older high schoolers?) takes Jen Clark to prom. They talk to Kelly and it is revealed that Jen had her as a guidance counselor. Ouch. In the bathroom, Jen reveals that she slept with a guy from the registrar’s office at Yale and got to read her letters of recommendation. Kelly’s letter wasn’t terribly nice because Jen was a conniving, term paper-thieving narcissist. I hope Kelly beats her ass to a couture pulp.

Kelly tries to tell Ryan what Jen is actually like and he accuses her of being jealous. Maybe those two narcissists deserve each other. Meanwhile, Jen talks to her husband Olivier on her cell phone outside.

Annie & Ethan
Totally boring this week. Annie goes to prom with a theatre geek to prove to Liam she’s a nice girl, but ends up hurting theatre geek in the process. Ethan turns down lacrosse camp this summer in order to visit his dad in Montana and find himself. He clearly wants to have 1000 of Silver’s babies after her big prom speech.

Adrianna & Navid
Navid picks a fight with Ty, which sends Ade into labor. I’m guessing they get better stuff next week.

Prom
There are photographers and a red carpet at the SOPHOMORE PROM.

90210 Season Finale Spoilers 1.24: “One Party Can Ruin Your Whole Summer” Prom After Party & Death!

Episode 1.24: The Last Shot of Light (Season finale) Airdate:May 19, 2009

‘90210’ finale: Is Brenda adopting Adrianna’s baby? Is Jim Walsh kicking the bucket?

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Judging by your interview with the girl who plays Naomi’s sister, plus the finale promos, I’m guessing Jen sleeps with Liam this week. Am I right? The promos made that pretty obvious, no? Yeah, Naomi’s sister was starting to seem a bit tame, but during tonight’s season ender, her evil nature will become apparent… And it’s all because little sis tried to put her in her place, just as Sara Foster said she would.

Brenda’s back! Brenda’s back! The best (and only) reason to watch “90210”! So, tell me, she’s adopting Adrianna’s baby, right?
Wrong.

Is it true that Jim Walsh returns for the “90210” season finale? I’m hearing this rumor everywhere. Is he the person dying or what? James Eckhouse is not appearing in the season finale and Jim Walsh is not dying. But when you watch tonight’s hour, you’ll understand why this scuttlebutt was started.

Sex, drugs & death. That’s what I heard will happen on the “90210” finale. So give us a clue! Well, the sex we’ve already covered (see above). The death? I think it’s sort of an end-of-season cliffhanger-type thing. And the drugs? The last two characters you’d expect to see stoned are getting super high tonight.

I’m going to miss Ethan next year. How is he written out of the show? Um, he’s not. Not really. I mean, he does have a big moment during the season finale… one involving Silver of course… But there’s no official “see ya” for him. Not yet anyway.

Why is “90210” getting rid of Ethan? Dustin Milligan is great. If they have to dump someone, why not Shenae Grimes?!! Oh, that’s not nice, now is it? No, but if you ain’t an Annie fan, you’re going to really like her last couple scenes this evening…

Question: What does the future hold for Annie and Liam on 90210?  Ausiello: Based on the finale, a straitjacket and an STD, respectively. Source: The Ausiello Files

Let’s talk 90210who’s gonna die? MICKEY: Before I tell you who dies, let me ask you this, Matty: Ever see the movie Carrie? Because it’s prom time at West Bev, and Annie is doing her best Sissy Spacek impression for us. It’s harrowing; you might even say she is driven to do some very uncharacteristic things, like maybe even kill someone! Who? It’s hard to say exactly, but in the same episode, Adrianna makes a choice, Ethan makes a declaration, and Liam makes a mistake — all three of which are life-changing. Source: TV Guide Online

Is anything going to happen between Liam and Annie on 90210?

Liam makes fun of Annie in the 90210 finale, but there’s nothing genuinely flirtatious going on. However, Liam definitely does have sex with someone who’s not Naomi! Ethan and Silver, by the way, totally connect in this last episode. Could that be the beginning of a short-lived somethin’-somethin’? Source: Kristin on E!Online

See larger image The first season of “” will conclude on May 19 with a misunderstanding. Liam, being the bad boy that he is, said that he is not the boyfriend of Naomi, and thus Annie takes the fall. Naomi and Liam have revealed their honest feelings for each other and she decides to host an after-prom party at her new house, much to Jen’s disapproval. Showing up late, Naomi searches for Liam but is speechless when she finds him finishing up some business in her bedroom. A furious Naomi confronts and accuses Annie of sleeping with Liam, causing Annie to finally snap at Naomi and all the party-goers before leaving the party in a rage and doing something that will haunt her for the rest of her life. Meanwhile, Adrianna and Navid spend their prom night in the delivery room and Brenda shows up to offer support. Dixon and Ethan get into a fight when Dixon accuses Ethan of having feelings for Silver. Harry and Debbie chaperone the after-prom party but leave early to lend their support to Adrianna at the hospital, along with Kelly.

We won’t know who dies until next year. We’ll see what appears to be a dead body in the 90210 finale, but the person’s face will remain hidden. (Watch With Kristin)

Sex, drugs, alcohol and murder. “Oddly enough all of those things happen in the finale,” teased 90210 star Rob Estes at last night’s Paley Festival event. Wait, murder?” There may be a death at the very end of the season.” That’s right kids, someone in America’s most famous zip code may be saying goodbye for good. Also, not one, but two students are leaving West Beverly High, and we have the deets on a freak-out that will shock you, especially since it comes from someone other than resident bi-polar gal-pal Silver (Jessica Stroup). Executive producer Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair  tells us, “There are some rash actions at the end of the season where one of the characters makes some decisions that may have very serious consequences, life and death consequences if you will.” Though everyone assumes Ethan will bite the dust, since Dustin Milligan is leaving 90210 this season, Rebecca confirms that the cliffhanger death has nothing to do with Ethan. So where does the big death take place? “A lot of stuff happens during prom. There’s love that’s finally fulfilled and yet because of various circumstances, potentially destroyed forever. There’s love, there’s death, there’s heartache, heartbreak,” says Rebecca. […] Rob spills, “In the final episode of the season, Annie (Shenae Grimes) blows her top. It’s the cliffhanger from hell. It’s a great surprise. Liam just keeps pressing her, saying ‘When are you going to lose it? You’re not really as good as you pretend to be,’ and she’s not.” Matt Lanter innocently says, “Liam is doing some teasing, but he teases everyone.” Oh it’s much more than that. Adds Ryan Eggold, “Annie definitely goes crazy. Not in the way Silver does, more like ‘What the heck am I doing in my life kind of thing.’ She has a very interesting last moment in the finale.” Could Annie be on a death-ward spiral? You’ll have to tune in to the finale. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Shenae Grimes tells us that the finale will be the culmination of all the reunions that have happened so far this year, saying, “We have Shannen back, Jennie’s here, so it’s a really good time.” Apparently there’s lots of drama in the episode, “especially with Little Miss Annie, so stay tuned. It’s going to be shocking, that’s for sure. I was shocked; my jaw dropped, so I hope yours will too.” And according to AnnaLynne McCord , “We’re shooting the finale right now, so Shannen’s in this Cleopatra wig, and I come in and she’s like, ‘Baby!’ and I’m like, ‘Shannen?’ I didn’t even recognize her; she had the wig and the eyes.” And Shannen says, “There’s something about me and a child, there’s something about me and Cleopatra, and it’s just one episode; it’s the season finale and that’s it.” Source: Kristin on E!Online

90210 (May 19, CW)

OMG, it’s time for the prom, which is totally fun, unless you’re newly engaged Adrianna, who is, like, nine-and-a-half months pregnant and ready to pop. Then your mind might be more focused on, say, labor, into which she goes during this episode. Conveniently, baby-wanting Brenda (Shannen Doherty) is on the scene as well. Also: Teasy moles say that decisions are made that have “life-and-death consequences.” What could that mean for Ethan (Dustin Milligan), who was recently cut from the cast roster? Episode 1.23: Zero Tolerance (fka “Forgiveness of the Dead”) Airdate: May 12, 2009

West Bev’s Hollywood-themed prom is full of surprises, but first Harry warns his students that any non-school sponsored parties after the prom will be met with serious consequences. Naomi learns that Jen (guest star Sara Foster, “CSI”) has maxed out her credit card to furnish their new home, but soon forgets her problems when Liam asks her to the prom. Meanwhile, Liam continues to count down the moments until Annie shows her true colors, but to prove him wrong, she accepts theater-geek Charlie’s (guest star Chuck Carter, “The Big Bang Theory”) invitation to the dance. Kelly attempts to warn Ryan about Jen’s devious personality, which he interprets as Kelly’s jealousy. Navid confronts Ty during a fight about abandoning his soon-to-be child with Adrianna, but rushes to Adrianna’s side when she goes into labor. Dixon is surprised to learn he’s nominated for Prom King, and Silver is even more surprised when she has the opportunity to speak her mind in front of her peers. ‘90210’ First Look: Silver’s prom dress

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Remember last week when I told you Silver won’t stay at Catholic school forever and that West Bev’s prom — for which she’ll don a very un-Silver-like ball gown-looking thing — would be her first experience back in the West Beverly world? Well, here’s your first look at the scene. She’s hanging back in the limo — it’s a Bentley limo, by the way, I was on set when they filmed this — having second thoughts about attending. No worries though, Dixon and friends will convince her that everything’s cool and she’ll not only attend the prom, but Jessica Stroup told me she ends up making a big, dramatic speech to the student body, announcing her impending return. Thoughts on this softer side of Silver’s style? Is it me or does the photo look a bit off? If I wasn’t there to see this scene go down, I would have to guess that Stroup was sick that day and they decided to superimpose her head on someone else’s body…

Episode 1.24: The Last Shot of Light (Season finale) Airdate:May 19, 2009

We won’t know who dies until next year. We’ll see what appears to be a dead body in the 90210 finale, but the person’s face will remain hidden. (Watch With Kristin)

Liam will sleep with someone in the finale … and it’s not Naomi! (Or *****!) Source: The Ausiello Files [Note: “Annie” could fit in the asterix clue.]

‘90210’ scoop & discussion: bachelor parties, backstabbing & ball gowns

Navid and Adrianna’s engagement will hit a snag when the super-committed groom meets a girl at his bachelor party whom he’s quite attracted to… Annie and Naomi’s ‘let’s-play-nice’ routine will soon come to an end. N will turn on A, accusing her of lying and backstabbing and all sorts of good stuff in the next couple weeks. Silver won’t stay at Catholic school forever. West Bev’s prom is coming up and she will be on Dixon’s arm, wearing a very un-Silver-like ball gown-looking thing. Jessica Stroup recently told me that prom will be Silver’s first experience back with the West Beverly student body and she’ll be making some big speech. Speaking of, Silver’s boyfriend and future suitor — the guys who play them, anyway — are chatting below about her and what’s to come. Check it out… Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

OMG, it’s time for the prom, which is totally fun, unless you’re newly engaged Adrianna, who is, like, nine-and-a-half months pregnant and ready to pop. 90210: Tori Spelling on a Possible Donna-Brenda Reunion!

Source: TV Guide Online

Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling‘s return to 90210 (Tuesdays, 9 pm/ET, CW) gave the fledgling teen drama a nice uptick in the ratings. But it also gave the fans an unexpected epilogue to the romantic storyline of Donna and David: They live in Japan, have a baby girl, Ruby, and — gasp! — they’re separated! In this Tuesday’s episode, Spelling returns to paint the town red with Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth), but wait until you see where they end up! Spelling tells us how she and the producers devised the storyline, what her late father would think of the new series, and whether we’ll see a Brenda-Kelly-Donna reunion in future episodes.

TVGuide.com: So when the producers contacted you, did they present you with a story idea? Did you present it to them? Or was it collaborative?
Tori Spelling:
It was completely collaborative. They had ideas. We kind of swapped back and forth. I told them it was important to me that Donna was still in fashion. Last we left her, she had a boutique, and now where is she? Has she gone further in her career? They had an idea for her to be in Europe, like London, being a fashion designer. I was like, “That’s cool, but what if we mix it up a bit and make it Japan?” So they said, “Great.”

TVGuide.com: How did you learn the Japanese in the script?
Spelling:
I studied it, and there was someone on the set who was fluent who helped me do it justice. At one point, I was, like, they suggested London and I had to say, “Oh, let’s do Japan,” and now I’m paying for it by having to speak in Japanese — ha-ha.

TVGuide.com: How did you feel about the news that Donna and David are separated?
Spelling:
It was scary at first, but I was actually open to it, just because everything’s always neatly tied up in movies, and that’s not the way life is. They’re not divorced; they’re simply separated, so there’s always hope. I didn’t want to devastate the fans. But there was an interesting storyline there. What happens when high school sweethearts get married very young, and they’ve been together and have only known each other and then all of a sudden their careers take off? Donna has been working, and they have kids, and sometimes your lives go in different directions. That was interesting to me.

TVGuide.com: Anyone in particular from the old cast that you’d like to see come back? Or that you’d like to work with again?
Spelling:
I can only go by my storyline, and I know that the fans were shocked that Donna and David are separated, so whether or not that pans out, I’m sure they would like to see David [Brian Austin Green] come back and have them resolve it.

TVGuide.com: Have you spoken to Brian about coming back?
Spelling:
I have not, no.

TVGuide.com: Tell me about working with the new cast. The ones I’ve spoken with were all very excited to have “the alums” come back.
Spelling:
It was great. I didn’t have much to do with the whole cast. But they were all really nice, and they all seem to get along, which I was like, “Yay, that’s awesome.” It’s hard to have a group of young, beautiful people all together and not have some drama. It was a really positive experience.

TVGuide.com:  How do you think the new 90210 is different?
Spelling:
I knew that for it to work you couldn’t compare the two; it had to be its own show, with just a few fallbacks to the old show, which would be us. And I think they’ve done a good job of balancing that. … I think it’s definitely progressed with what’s going on with teens presently. It’s completely reflective. It’s definitely a little more daring and a little more risqué, but that’s pretty keeping in tune with how teens are nowadays.

TVGuide.com: What do you think your dad would think of the new 90210?
Spelling:
I think he’d be really proud. He always hoped to do a remake. He always said, “I want to do 90210: The Next Generation.” So right now, he’s like: “Cool. Mission accomplished.”

TVGuide.com: I’ve heard that Tuesday’s episode is pretty funny. Tell me about it.
Spelling:
It’s true Kelly-Donna high-jinks, getting themselves in trouble again. They’re mistaken for a gay couple. They’re like, “Hey, we don’t go out any more. Where’s the cool place?” And someone mistakenly sends them to a gay bar. It’s pretty funny.

TVGuide.com: Any idea when you’ll be back on the show?
Spelling:
Not currently, but I’m excited to return. We left the storyline open, and I would love to explore what’s going on in Donna’s life more. I would love to come back next season.

TVGuide.com: Any chance we’ll see a Brenda-Kelly-Donna reunion in our future?
Spelling:
I think the fans would love it, so I hope there will be.

90210 Season Finale Spoilers: A Death, Whose? Silver Leaves West Bev & Annie Goes Wild!

Who dies on 90210? We won’t know until next year. We’ll see what appears to be a dead body in the 90210 finale, but the person’s face will remain hidden. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Naomi’s awful older sister, Jen (Sara Foster), will turn up on “90210” tonight and, as I first reported back in February, she’ll catch the eye of a certain teacher who totally hooked up with Kelly Taylor last week. Yes, Mr. Ryan Matthews will take a liking to Jen, not realizing at first what a psycho she is. But maybe “90210” could use that sort of excitement right now.

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

So, what exactly does Kirshner Sinclair want the new “90210” to look like, sound like and feel like? KTV correspondent Marisa Roffman tracked the show runner down to find out…

As a fan of the original series, I have to ask, did you watch “Beverly Hills, 90210”?

R: Yeah, that was my era. I grew up with those girls [from the original show]. What they wore to their prom was the same thing I wore to mine. It was that black, sleek dress with a giant white bow over the shoulders. And there was this whole plot of how [Kelly and Brenda] both wore [the same dress], and I had already gotten it first, so [when it aired] I was like, oh my God, that’s my dress! And some girl at my school wore it as well.

So you had your own Brenda and Kelly dress fiasco at your prom! Will your familiarity with the original series impact how you run “90210”?

R: Yeah. [“Beverly Hills, 90210”] was a zeitgeist when I was growing up. I’m honored to pay homage to that show, but what I’m excited about is when fans can almost forget there was an old show and [“90210”] feels like a new thing that really reflects the zeitgeist now. There was some magic when [the original] started and it really struck a nerve, and I can’t even begin to analyze how that came about, but [for this show], I’d like to begin by writing about real teenagers and a real world.

Fans were shocked when news broke that Dustin Milligan (Ethan) won’t be returning next year. Can you talk about the reasons behind cutting Ethan?

R: I honestly think Dustin is such a good actor and such a lovely person. He is incredibly smart and perceptive and I loved working with him. At the end of the year [when I joined the show], I was really encouraging a dialogue between the writers and the actors and he was somebody who took me up on that. He was so thoughtful and careful about his ideas, and I was really impressed. So in my mind, it wasn’t about not liking Dustin, but [about] the character of Ethan. I felt [Ethan] didn’t allow me the freedom that I wanted. I really wanted a range between the characters and I didn’t feel like I could do with that character what I wanted to do with one of my core people. I think Dustin is amazing and he’ll do great. I was very honored to work with him, but he won’t be back.

Will Dustin ever show up in a season 2 episode to wrap up his storyline?

R: I’m not absolutely sure, but I don’t think so.

Do you have plans to add any characters in the near future?

R: I’d love to! There’s a range of teenagers I’d love to see. I’d love to see a surfer girl. I’d love to see a tennis player guy. I want to bring in the sunshine and sexiness of LA and balance our mix and allow our kids to find who they are.

It’s been reported that you are planning on cutting the vets from the original series in the future. Does that mean Jennie Garth (Kelly) won’t be recurring next season?

R: I honestly feel that interview might not have reflected my real feelings [on the topic]. I’m not interested in casting people just for stunt value. I’m not interested in looking at it like, oh my God, that’s Madonna walking across the screen. If Madonna wants to play someone’s mom at the school, that’s fabulous. To me, I really care about the new generation of kids, that’s where my heart is, but I think all those people [from the original series], it’s been an honor to work with them and I’m open to any of them [returning]. I just don’t want to do it for stunt value or shock value. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to [use the vets again]. If someone falls into the world, I’m all for that.

So Kelly’s sticking around?

R: Yeah. You’ll see more of Kelly for sure.

I know the show has gone through changes over the season, but it seems like some storylines have been brought up and then never addressed again, i.e. Harry’s missing son. Do you have any plans to revisit that?

R: Anything is possible, but I don’t think my goal will be to answer every question, but rather to set forth a new drama. That’s not to say some of the [unanswered] stuff isn’t [important] — everything will have to be judged specifically — but I think there may be some leaps in that this is a new incarnation and a new thing.

Is there anything you can tease to for the finale?

R: A lot of drama goes down. It’s the end of the school year, it’s the end of the season. Some decisions are made that will change a lot. People make some really bad decisions, people open up their hearts and, for one character, there is something [that happens which] is the straw that breaks the camel’s back. People are becoming who they could be [in the future]. There is some real growth and evolution in the characters as a result of the events that happen at the end of season one.

Question: I miss the old Silver on 90210. Please tell me she’s going to return!

Ausiello: I’m told prom is going to be the eye-opening event that resurrects the Silver we all know and love. Speaking of 90210, Rob Estes says this of the season finale: “There might be a death, perhaps a murder. I don’t know if they will actually die because it is a cliffhanger. We left it open-ended. There may be a death in the finale. I can only promise bodily harm. Expect bodily harm.” Source: The Ausiello Files

Question: I heard the Ryan Eggold is moving over to the new Melrose Place. Is that true?

Ausiello: Let’s ask Ryan himself: “I don’t know if it is happening or how exactly they would do it,” he told us at Saturday’s PaleyFest ’09 event honoring 90210. “We’ve talked about me being the crossover character but they say I will still be on 90210 as well. I think it would be really cool if it happened, but it’s too early to say it with certainty. If it does happen it will be the same character on both shows. It would not make any sense if I was playing two different characters.” Source: The Ausiello Files

Shenae Grimes will be sticking around. (TV Guide)

Naomi’s special brand of emotional terrorism will again set its laser sights on Annie toward the end of the season. (TV Guide)

Are any of the cast of 90210 heading for Melrose Place?

No one has been officially confirmed, but Rob Estes tells us, “My money’s on Ryan, he’d be a perfect crossover.” Who do you think should make the leap over to 90210‘s sister show? Source: Kristin on E!Online

What’s the deal with Dixon’s biomom coming on 90210?

Dixon’s (Tristan Wilds) biological mom does come back in the picture, which causes quiet the emotional meltdown with the family. And though the promos tease a big reunion, don’t expect it to be as special as they’re selling. Rob Estes tells us, “We may see [Dixons mom], but do we meet her? She shows up and then disappears for a while. They actually go after her, they go looking for her.” Source: Kristin on E!Online

Silver is leaving West Bev High, but Jessica Stroup is not leaving the show. That is, if her character doesn’t die in the season finale. Source: Kristin on E!Online

More Matt Lanter on 90210 please!

Liam’s causing some drama and really turning into the Dylan McKay we’ve been waiting for. Matt Lanter says, “Liam takes out Ethan to a camping trip. Ethan’s trying to find himself and Liam encourages that from people, trying to find what’s deep inside. He gets Ethan into some trouble. Liam’s presence is being felt in a pretty major way.” That’s not the only 90210er he’s messing with. His new romance with Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) is headed for a rough patch. “By the end of the season, there’s going to be some major drama with [Naomi] and her sister and possibly Annie. There’s some problem with her sister. She comes in and she definitely makes things tough in 90210. People are definitely going to be angry and betrayed,” adds Matt. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Death Comes Knocking On 90210‘s Door

90210, Shenae Grimes, Jessica Lowndes, Michael Steger, AnnaLynn McCord

Michael Desmond/The CW

Sex, drugs, alcohol and murder. “Oddly enough all of those things [happen in the finale],” teased 90210 star Rob Estes at last night’s Paley Festival event.

Wait, murder? ” There may be a death at the very end of the season.” That’s right kids, someone in America’s most famous zip code may be saying goodbye for good.

Also, not one, but two students are leaving West Beverly High, and we have the deets on a freak-out that will shock you, especially since it comes from someone other than resident bi-polar gal-pal Silver (Jessica Stroup).

Death Strikes 90210: Executive producer Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair tells us, “There are some rash actions at the end of the season where one of the characters makes some decisions that may have very serious consequences, life and death consequences if you will.” Though everyone assumes Ethan will bite the dust, since Dustin Milligan is leaving 90210 this season, Rebecca confirms that the cliffhanger death has nothing to do with Ethan. So where does the big death take place? “A lot of stuff happens during prom. There’s love that’s finally fulfilled and yet because of various circumstances, potentially destroyed forever. There’s love, there’s death, there’s heartache, heartbreak,” says Rebecca.

90210, Tristan Wilds, Jessica Stroup Michael Desmond/The CW

Leaving West Bev: Ethan’s not the only one saying goodbye to the high school. Silver actually makes her exit in Tuesday night’s episode as well. Because of her breakdown, little Silver can’t show her face at school without being scrutinized, so she’s heading off to an all girls Catholic school. Jessica teases, “As far as the recovery goes though, she’s trying things out. When we come back, she’s already on her medication. She’s going through a routine instead of just being out with her friends and letting too much influence her, and let her emotions get to her too much and go into another episode. As far as the rest of the season, it’s figuring out what works for her and getting back to Silver because she loses touch with that again.”

Love Lost: With Ethan exiting, there’s a flurry of questions as to why he’s saying goodbye. As Rebecca teased above, there’s a couple who finally find love, but ruin it forever. You’ll be surprised as to who that couple actually is. Says Jessica, “Ethan’s character has also gone through a lot, you’re going to see in the next couple for him that he’s exploring life and trying to get out of his little bubble of a world that he’s been living in. In a lot of ways Silver and Ethan do have a lot in common and they’ve known each other for a long time. It’s understandable they would have feelings for each other, so they possibly may try to do something.” Does that mean Silver and Dixon are on the outs? “There’s going to be a lot of problems up and down. They’re working out whether or not it works for them anymore and if he’s supportive enough. In the end do they stay together? You’re going to have to see,” adds Jessica.

Shenae Grimes, 90210 CW

Annie Flips Her Lid: Silver can’t be the only one to hog the crazysauce spotlight. Rob spills, “In the final episode of the season, Annie (Shenae Grimes) blows her top.

Donna Martin, Welcome Home: Donna Martin returning to 90210 is by far the best thing that could’ve happened. Putting Kelly (Jennie Garth) and Donna back together is comedic gold, especially when the pair accidentally end up in a gay bar. Tuesday’s episode sets up for an extended Donna stay, but no hope in sight for David to swing by. For now, Donna settles with helping Kelly find her “six pack,” which coincidentally turns out to be Ryan. Spoiler alert: Kelly and Ryan have the sexiest make-out sesh in Tuesday’s episode, and it’s so hot and heavy you may turn away from your TV. But don’t expect happiness for the pair. Shannen Doherty will be back in the finale to stir the pot, along with introducing Naomi’s sister, Jen Clark (Sara Foster), who’s around Ryan’s age and loves to start drama.

Who do you think the big death is? And are you looking forward to Tori Spelling?s hilarious return? The comments section is yours for the taking!

‘90210’ stars talk about sex, partner swapping & Tori Spelling at Paley 2009

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Diablo Cody is a “90210” fangirl.  If you follow her on Twitter, you’ve probably seen her gushing about filming her cameo on the show alongside original series stars, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling.

And on Saturday night in Beverly Hills, Diablo had no reservations about showing her “9-0” love and expressing her feelings about the show’s storylines as she moderated The Paley Festival’s panel honoring the drama.

After a screening of the Rob Estes-directed 20th episode (airing 4/21), Diablo declared that the couple who gets engaged in the closing minutes of the hour should not get married, she told Rob (Harry) that she gets “anxious” whenever Harry and Debbie fight, she asked Ryan Eggold (Ryan) if he felt his character belonged with Kelly, and she confessed that she was very invested in his answer. Plus, she corrected Shenae Grimes (Annie) on the proper pronunciation of Andrea Zuckerman’s first name.

Love it.

And what did the stars of “90210” have to say that night?

Well, first things first, everyone was talking about Donna Martin’s return to Beverly Hills, which happens this evening — you have seen the preview clips, yes? — and can I tell you how nice it will be to have Ms. Martin back in the neighborhood?

Watching the Kelly/Brenda dynamic was cool — all my love to Shannen, always — but Kel’s connection with her BFF is different. I only wish that Donna’s homecoming didn’t spell trouble for her and the husband… yep, the Donna-David union is dealing with some serious problems at the moment.

Hey, ‘member when Donna finally gave it up to him back on college graduation night in 1997? With the white lingerie and the candles everywhere?

I don’t know why I just brought that up…

Anyway, moving on, the new guy in town, Matt Lanter (Liam), said he’s of course heard all the comparisons between his character and Dylan McKay. Having just finished watching the first season of the original series on DVD, Lanter told me, “They’re both independent guys. They don’t put up with people’s BS. [Dylan] was this bad boy character and I guess Liam is [a bad boy] of sorts.”

And now that it’s been confirmed that Liam will be back as a series regular next season, Lanter has many hopes for his character. “I’m looking forward to developing [Liam],” he admitted. “There are a lot of layers that haven’t been peeled back yet and they need to be peeled back. I think we’re going to learn a lot about Liam and what drives him, and his family life, and why he is the way he is. I’m anxious to get into that.”

And what’s next for Silver, whom we last saw breaking down like a total lunatic?

Post-hospitalization, Silver is going to struggle to get her life back on track, and there will be some drastic changes, including a transfer to a new school, which I told you about first last month.

“This is a lifelong thing, so it’s so fresh,” Jessica Stroup (Silver) said, referring to the bipolar disorder that her character will be diagnosed with this week. “It’s so new for her, so for the rest of the season, it’s all about finding the balance. It’s about whether the friends she has at West Beverly will respect her again, if Dixon will stick by her with this [illness]. She is going to go through the ups and the downs of the recovery and, in the end, can she really come back to the Silver we all loved?”

One thing, however, that won’t change in Silver’s life is her tempestuous dynamic with Mr. Matthews. Ryan Eggold shared that he’s a bit disappointed their relationship doesn’t change tremendously, even after everything that’s gone down between them. “It would have been interesting [if it had shifted],” he said. “They sort of have their moment together and then it’s back to the grind.”

And I agree with Eggold that that’s sort of weird. I mean, the girl did break into his apartment, threaten him and smash a bunch of things…

But anyway, one person who will definitely be sticking close to Silver is Kelly. In tonight’s episode, she spends a lot of time trying to help her little sister and get her back on solid ground, while Silver just rebels against that. “She doesn’t want to go to bed at a certain time and take this certain [medicine],” Stroup revealed. “But [Silver ultimately] realizes that this is now her life.”

What else? Oh, partner swapping.

“There’s a lot of teasing coming up with Liam and Annie,” Lanter shared. Shenae laughed when a possible Liam/Annie relationship was mentioned because the two apparently only share a couple scenes this season, but she did admit that she and Matt have discussed those scenes and think a romance might be coming.

That’s not to say things won’t be hot and heavy with Liam and Naomi in the coming weeks. In the 20th episode, Liam and Naomi have a pretty major make out session at the opening of Donna’s new store (yep, she’s opening a BH location). Naomi seems to have fallen quite fast for Liam, so it’s definitely just a matter of time before she’ll be wanting to claw Annie’s eyes out over him.

Another possible love connection that will grow over the next batch of episodes? Silver and Ethan. While it might seem unlikely since Silver’s still with Dixon, Jessica said she can understand why something might start between them. “The interesting thing with Ethan is that his character is going through a discovery of life all over again because he’s been stuck in this bubble,” she mused. “And Silver is definitely a different kind of girl [for him]. But whether or not he makes an advance, that is yet to be seen. Dixon and Silver are going to see some trouble though [either way]. It all kind of happens around the same time, so we’ll see what goes down.”

And back to the whole Ryan-Kelly thing that Diablo brought up, it seems the two will take their relationship to the next level in episode 20, but that does not mean they’ll be a couple. “There’s more love on the way,” Eggold said with a laugh. “[Ryan]’s a little mixed up with the ladies. He’s got some interesting issues I think. There’s a lot of off-and-on, start-and-stop. He’s got a thing with Kelly that is back and forth. There’s a new female character that’s introduced that is another romantic interest for him.” That new love interest? Naomi’s sister. Remember, I mentioned this a while back?

Anyway, Eggold — whom I heart because he never censors himself — also said that he would like for Ryan’s multiple partners this season to be explained by something like sex addiction. Sadly for him, they probably won’t go down that road…

Looking forward, there’s of course Prom and the season finale right around the corner. The cast seemed really excited about the final episodes… though it doesn’t sound like anyone is going to have a particularly pleasant time at the big school dance.

Shenae lamented that it won’t be so great for Annie — I was on set while they were filming that episode, and yeah, she accepts her date’s invitation out of pity — and according to Matt, Liam goes to the dance “kind of, in a way” with someone — ahem, Naomi, ahem — and that “there is some drama that happens in and around prom.”

And the adults are not immune to the tension. Rob told us that Debbie and Harry will have some marital issues to contend with and said, “In the last episode, you find [Harry and Debbie] in a very, very compromising position. It’s very interesting.”

Of course, Brenda will be back, but don’t expect a repeat of the Ryan/Brenda hook up situation. Said Eggold, “[Ryan] got burned pretty bad with Kelly the last time [when Kelly found out he slept with Brenda], so I don’t think he would dare [go at it with Ms. Walsh again].”

Naomi joins the Habitat build after learning that Liam is also attending, but is clearly out of her comfort zone. While Kelly and Donna are dining on sushi, Diablo Cody (guest starring as herself) convinces Donna to design a dress for her for a red carpet event.

Diablo Cody Dishes on 90210 — and if She’s Really a Hollywood Powerhouse

by Anna Dimond (TV Guide)

Diablo Cody

Diablo Cody is known as the mind behind Juno‘s sassy, Oscar-winning script, as well as a chief force driving Showtime’s United States of Tara. But Tuesday night (9 pm/ET), the ingénue is stepping in front of the camera for the first time for a guest-role on the CW’s 90210. In a cameo that has her gushing, Cody arrives at West Bev just as Tori Spelling returns as Donna Martin, now a fashion designer. Cody asks her to help with a red-carpet dress. TVGuide.com chatted with the writer to find out what it was like to film with her heroes, and, a year after winning her Oscar, if she feels like she’s breaking new ground for women in Hollywood.

TVGuide.com: Outside of your work for United States of Tara, you have a lot of other projects going on, including an upcoming appearance on 90210. What was the experience like?
Diablo Cody:
It was amazing. I’ve never done any acting, so brace yourself. Seriously, I’m not good. But, oh my god! I wanted to put myself out there to have the experience. I grew up worshipping Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling, and now I got to shoot a couple of scenes with them. So it was surreal.

TVGuide.com: Were you nervous?
Cody:
I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous in my entire life. I was absolutely paralyzed. It was interesting. I’ve never been on the other side of the camera. Especially being on a TV set, I was super-conscious of what the crew was doing. I’ve always been on the other side, so for me, to suddenly be stepping into the actors’ shoes, I’ve always had a tremendous amount of respect for actors, because I don’t know how they do it. But now I’m like, ‘You people are mutants. How do you do it?’

TVGuide.com: What’s your scene like?
Cody:
I have several scenes, and my storyline involves the return of Donna Martin to Beverly Hills. It was Tori’s first episode back. I play myself.

TVGuide.com: Will we recognize the old Donna?
Cody:
She is like the old Donna. There were a few moments where I thought to myself, that the writing was quite faithful, because it was true to original character. She’s not a virgin anymore, but…

TVGuide.com: Along with your upcoming cameo, there was recently a New York Times article that examined the close friendship among you and three other prominent, female screenwriters in Hollywood. What was your take on that?
Cody:
I thought it was absolutely wonderful! Of course, we were basking in the praise, but at the same time, it was embarrassing, because it made us out to be very glamorous ladies. When in fact, I spend most of the day in sweat pants, eating Doritos. I have never thought of myself as, quote unquote, gorgeous, for a moment of my life… . And I love those women so much that to be in the newspaper with them was very exciting.

TVGuide.com: That kind of media spotlight highlights how things have changed for you in the past few years. Do see yourself as someone who’s breaking new ground for women in Hollywood?
Cody:
I think female screenwriters are getting a lot more ink than they used to. And I think that’s cool. I don’t know if that has anything to do with me. It probably just has to do with evolution. I am a feminist. If I’ve caused any change, I hope it’s positive.

TVGuide.com: You also mentioned some of the emotional stressors in the work you do. Is that just the nature of the beast?
Cody:
Absolutely. I think all artists are tortured. Whether they’re musicians, journalists — as I’m sure you know — painters. We’ve never been incredibly well-adjusted people. And when you’re turning out a great volume of work, which I now have to do, it’s going to affect you personally. But I think I’m getting tougher.

Tori Spelling On Donna-David Separation: It’s a “Real Storyline”

Source: (TV Guide)

Tori Spelling

90210 fans were crushed to learn Tuesday night that David and Donna separated shortly after the birth of their daughter, Ruby. Despite the disheartened diehards, Tori Spelling stands behind the storyline. “It was something we discussed, the producers and I, and I thought it was real,” Spelling told TVGuide.com at Oxygen Network’s fall TV previews on Wednesday in New York City. “There’s just a real storyline there. What happens when a couple of high school sweethearts grow up and become adults, and parents, and have different career paths? Sometimes you kind of move away from each other.” But separated doesn’t necessarily mean divorce is in the cards. “We’ll see what happens,” said Spelling. “I know the audience loves David and Donna together and hopefully it will all work out.”

New 90210 Spoilers: 1.18 ‘Off The Rails’ & Season Finale Scoop!

4/7 New ‘Off The Rails’

90210On a very special 90210, Ryan attempts to calm Silver down after reactions to her video, but she disappears before he can help. Dixon reveals the situation to Debbie and Harry, who are shocked at the details and confront him about not seeking their help sooner about Silver’s behavior. Kelly and Ryan search the streets and show up at Jackie’s (guest star Ann Gillespie) home looking for Silver, but the visit proves pointless when harsh words are exchanged. Adrianna is unsure how to care for a child, but when she and Navid offer to babysit for Kelly, the two prove to be better at the situation than they thought. Kelly and Silver’s friends fear the worst and search for her, not knowing where she is or what is causing her emotional behavior.

‘90210’ returns Tuesday with departure rumors, a Dylan imposter & a couple dying relationships

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

90210” finally returns tonight after a seven week break and since the West Bev population has been MIA for so long, I figured we should talk about what’s coming up. Your questions, my answers…

Korbi, Is it true about Ethan leaving “90210”?
Though the network and studio aren’t confirming anything, it seems Dustin Milligan will indeed be stripped of his series regular status come next season. I recently spoke with him on set and he said that Ethan’s sort of searching right now, becoming more introspective. I got the feeling that Ethan’s quest for meaning may be what ultimately takes him out of the picture. Perhaps Beverly Hills isn’t the best place to grow and gain character?

I don’t understand why Dustin Milligan would want to leave “90210” now. Does he have another show lined up?
I don’t think leaving the show was really Dustin’s decision. Word is, he was not thrilled to get his walking papers from new exec producer Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair.

Are Annie and Ethan done now?
Not yet. They start tonight’s episode as a couple… that’s not really talking. But by the end of the hour, Annie will be laying on the hood of a car up at make out point with some other dude.

So this kid Liam is supposed to be the new Dylan McKay? I don’t see it. Dylan is Dylan. The guy would have to be pretty special to be compared to the great McKay
Shenae Grimes (Annie), who is the only regular cast member that knows the original “90210” well, was skeptical about this Liam is the new Dylan business too. She told me she wasn’t buying it at first, but after seeing Matt Lanter work, she changed her mind. Me? After seeing this evening’s hour, I’m still not convinced, but I’ll give it some time. He doesn’t have to be Dylan reincarnated, I just need him to be interesting, worthy of our attention, you know?

I remember you saying that Liam is going to have relationships with both Naomi and Annie. Is that still the plan?
Naomi will fall hard for this dude right from the start. And though he completely blows her off tonight and doesn’t seem at all interested, she will win him over. I think he may even be taking her to the prom in May. His relationship with Annie, however, will build slowly. Shenae said Liam sort of challenges Annie. He doesn’t believe that she’s really as nice and sweet as she tries to come off. I guess he antagonizes her a bit and it sounds like the whole dynamic just reeks of sexual tension.

Korbi, Can you just tell us which long running “90210” couple will break up for good by next season? It’s gotta be Silver and Dixon, but not knowing for sure is driving me crazy.
All I can say is Silver and Dixon are definitely in for more difficult times. As I first told you back in January, Silver is about to suffer a mental breakdown and her issues with Dixon will set off a major episode tonight. I’ll speak plainly, the girl done lost her mind.

Any news on my favorite “90210” character Navid?
I don’t think he appears in this evening’s new episode, actually. If he does, it’s briefly. But he’ll be back in a big way soon, don’t worry. Like I said before, he and Adrianna are not done.

Preview of ‘90210’ 1.18: Silver Losing Her Mind

In ‘90210’ episode ‘Off the Rails’, Kelly sets out on a search for Silver who goes out of town with unstable mind.

Things are spiraling down further for Silver whose sex tape with Dixon is getting out of control. In the April 7 episode of ““, Silver is losing her mind as Dixon creates a strain within their relationship. Thus she travels to Kansas in order to learn who she really was. However, the trip is alluded with her fragile mental instability that gets her involved in a difficult situation. According to a scoop by E! Online, Silver’s bipolarity will erupt in a train station and Kelly is forced to go on her own trip to find her. Meanwhile, Kelly once again faces her troubled mother Jackie. Ann Gillespie guest stars as her role in the original series, Jackie Taylor. is back behind the lens for the episode which is called “Off the Rails”.

So I watched “90210” last night, I thought it was alright. When will
Dustin Milligan’s last episode be?
Dustin will at least stick around till the show breaks for summer. When I spoke with him on set a couple weeks ago, he was filming the second to last hour of the season (prom night, he was all monkey-suited up). He told me that next Tuesday’s episode — which Jason Priestley directed — picks up right where last night left off with Ethan and Annie breaking up on that make out cliff or whatever you want to call it. Apparently it’s going to be a crazy dramatic hour that takes place after dark as Silver continues to melt down and everyone goes in search of her. Oh, and p.s., Jackie Taylor (Ann Gillespie) is back. Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Hey Korbi, is it true that Ethan starts to fall for Silver by the season finale?

That’s what I’m hearing. I guess he’s going to develop quite a thing for her before he goes and his feelings are not lost on Dixon. Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

First look ‘90210’ photos of Donna (Tori Spelling) and Diablo

Our girl Donna (Tori Spelling) isn’t returning to “90210” until April 14, but we know what her first episode is about and have the pictures to prove it.

Torivertical

In “Okaeri, Donna!” Ms. Martin will return from a sojourn in Japan and head straight for Kelly and Silver’s house.

What I’ve heard is that Donna’s excuse to come back is Silver’s hospitalization for bipolar disorder. Word has it that she returns without David because he’s stuck in Japan, his work is there, he wants to stay there … but Donna is unhappy and wants to move back home. She contemplates opening a store in Beverly Hills, but would that exacerbate their marriage issues … ?

Torihorizontal

Meanwhile, the new West Beverly kids go on Spring Break. Annie and Dixon take a road trip while Ethan, Liam and Naomi volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

Then, as if she didn’t have enough of the real thing during her travels, Kelly and Donna hit a sushi restaurant where writer and self-confessed “Beverly Hills, 90210” fan Diablo Cody (guest starring as herself) will convince Donna to design her a dress for an upcoming Hollywood shindig.

Tori_jennie_diablo

What do you think? Can Donna Martin cure what ails “90210”? Are you more or less excited to see her than Kelly and Brenda? Can things be the same without David Silver being present?

‘90210’ shocker: Leading man Milligan to exit

by Michael Ausiello

Dustinmilligan_l90210‘s new boss lady, Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair, recently told me that the soap’s second season would be “significantly” different than the first, and, man, she wasn’t kidding.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Dustin Milligan, who plays affable jock (and one half of 90210‘s central super couple) Ethan, won’t be returning to the show in the fall — at least not full time.

Reps for The CW and producer Paramount declined comment, but a 90210 insider confirms that Milligan’s contract option is not being picked up for next season. The source adds that the door is being left open for the actor to briefly appear in the fall to wrap up Ethan’s story.

All indications are that Milligan’s exit was strictly a creative decision. “Everyone loves Dustin,” maintains the insider. “There was just a feeling that the character had run its course.” (Curiously, the news comes just days after Milligan’s newbie co-star, Matt Lanter — a.k.a. bad boy Liam — confirmed that he was being promoted to a series regular next season.)

The departure of one the show’s most high profile leading men is the clearest indication yet that Sinclair’s ongoing reboot of the reboot will be anything but minor. Viewers will get their first taste of the Gilmore Girl alum’s new vision when 90210 returns from its winter hiatus this Tuesday with a hilariously campy outing that features the primetime soap trifecta: stalkers, street-racing, and scenery-chewing!

Looking ahead to season 2, Sinclair said last month that she wants to “reconceive things visually. There are opportunities to embrace California culture visually in terms of fashion and style; I want it to be more contemporary.

“If Gossip Girl is about youth in New York,” she elaborated, “I want to [make 90210] about youth in L.A. and Beverly Hills.”

The writer-producer also plans to rely less on 90210 vets such as Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling to boost ratings. “The show tried to be a lot of things to a lot of people in its first season,” she conceded. “I think the center lies with the generation of kids that are in high school now. I’m not interested in casting people for stunt value.”

Sinclair, who replaces original show-runners Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs, said the show will benefit from having a singular vision. “The advantage of having one person — me — [in charge] is that scripts, what happens on the set, casting… it all speaks in one voice.”

Thoughts on Sinclair’s new 90210? Waiting to pass judgment until you see this season’s remaining episodes? Is the loss of cute-but-boring Ethan a step in the right or wrong direction? Sound off below!

Dustin Milligan Done with ‘90210’

Dustin Milligan

The next season of 90210 would have to go on without good guy Ethan, as Entertainment Weekly has just reported that Canadian actor Dustin Milligan won’t be returning to the show this fall.  He may be one-half of the series’ central super couple, but he has no power over major decisions such as this.

An insider from the series revealed that Milligan’s contract option will not be picked up for 90210‘s sophomore run.  However, he might be back to wrap up his character’s story in a multi-episode arc.

Apparently, the reasons for Milligan’s departure are rooted in the creative vision of the writers and had nothing to do with financial matters.  Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair, the new boss of 90210, admitted to EW‘s Michael Ausiello about season 2 being “significantly” different than the first.

Any new “90210″ news?  Will Ethan and Annie be over forever?  He was so cool before stupid Rhonda!
Really? I thought Rhonda was good for Ethan. She turned him on to a more introspective side and the kid was in need of some depth, don’t you think? But to answer your question, Ethan and Annie will still be together when the show returns in two weeks… although that won’t last. And I don’t see them reconciling anytime soon. Certainly not this season.

Why has “90210” been off the air for so long? WTF?
Because “9-0” started its season almost a month before most fall shows debuted, they had to make up for it by taking a few extra weeks off. Also, because the country’s switch to digital was supposed to take place in February, The CW’s schedulers tried to avoid that entire month. Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Anything on Ethan and Annie on 90210?
