The Good Wife Season 3 Spoilers: Will & Alicia Getting Together?

The Good Wife‘s Josh Charles: Will Has a “Deep Love” for Alicia

Julianna Margulies and Josh Charles

It’s been a busy — and heart-wrenching — couple of weeks on The Good Wife.

Moments after becoming Mrs. State’s Attorney, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) learned about Peter’s one-night-stand with Kalinda (err, Leila) and kicked him out. Last week, she drew enemy lines against Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) after two years of friendship. In the midst of the blow-ups, the tears and the divorce talk, has a chance for Alicia and Will (Josh Charles) to be together finally emerged?

“The nature of what’s transpired with Alicia and Peter, Alicia and Kalinda — these things push Alicia and Will closer together as friends,” Charles tells TVGuide.com. “I think — at its core — there is a deep love that Will has for her and I think he cares about her.

Watch full episodes of The Good Wife

“Whether that means they should be together or not is sort of irrelevant to the fact that I do think that that feeling is very real and true.”

After 15 years and their infamous issue of bad timing, it looks like Alicia will at least consider reuniting with her law school love. But it won’t be so easy. Yes, they shared a passionate kiss last season and had discussions about trying to make something work. However, when Alicia challenged Will to “show me the plan,” she never received his second voicemail, and Alicia tried to make things work with Peter.

The Good Wife: Will Alicia ever forgive Kalinda? Archie Panjabi isn’t ruling anything out

Now that her bad husband is definitely out of the apartment — and out of the picture — can Will finally show her the plan? “While some of the obstacles float away, such as her and Peter moving towards a separation, at the same time, that baggage that Alicia had expressed at the end of last season is still there. She may be right about a lot of that,” Charles says. “That doesn’t change the feelings, it just complicates them more. How that happens and how that will work out remains to be seen with what our writers want to do.”

The other big question is whether Will is really the best match for Alicia. It’s been years since they went to Georgetown together and now Alicia is a working mother of two teenagers and much, if not all, of Will’s life is devoted to his work. And then there are those references to Will’s checkered past (courtesy of Blake, natch): namely, secrets from his old law firm in Baltimore.

Although these revelations have surprised, and maybe frustrated, some fans, Charles appreciates that Will is “not just some white-knight alternative” to Peter.

The Good Wife: Alicia’s bad timing strikes again

“I’ll see fans and they’ll say stuff: ‘Hey, are you a good guy or a bad guy?’ ‘Hey, you’re really shady in that one,'” he says. “The reality, to me, is he’s not really interested in the morality of things as much as people want him to be. … We’re invested in him and possibly Alicia. How she feels about him affects us as an audience.”

Whether they want them or not, Charles says fans will begin to get answers about Will next season. “We’ve learned some, but we haven’t really learned a lot. We’ve been told a lot of things by a lot of different people that have a lot of different agendas,” he says. “I love where this episode leads us, leading into next year. We’ll start to learn more about Will’s backstory and when we do, I think it will be revealing and enlightening about the character.”

Charles says he’s ready for whatever direction the writers go. “Look at what they’ve just done with Alicia and Kalinda; some could say that’s a risky move but I think you take risky moves when you have strength in your own ability to sustain and create material,” he says. “These characters can sustain risky moves, risky moves that don’t feel arbitrary in my opinion. They feel right; they feel connected with what we’ve seen already.”

The Good Wife: Will Alicia Ever Forgive Kalinda? Archie Panjabi Isn’t Ruling Anything Out

Source: TV Guide

Archie Panjabi

First, she took care of Peter (with help from some very tough packing tape). Then, on Tuesday’s episode of The Good Wife, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) dealt with the other woman, and her former best friend, Kalinda (Archie Panjabi). But will she ever be able to forgive and forget their tryst?

“The predictable thing about The Good Wife is how unpredictable The Good Wife is,” Panjabi tells TVGuide.com, “so I don’t rule anything out.”

Watch full episodes of The Good Wife

Panjabi says “there were a few tears” on set the day she and Margulies filmed the emotional scene in which Alicia confronted her. It was a moment fans had been anticipating — and dreading — since Blake first dropped the bombshell about her and Peter weeks ago: “You slept with my husband. You do not say anything after that, you do not,” Alicia said to Kalinda before beginning to tear up. “I swear I will scream at the top of my lungs if you don’t get out of my office right now.”

Of course the biggest question is, now that she and Alicia are stuck together, how the two will function in the office. One thing’s for sure: Panjabi says Kalinda won’t continue to explain herself. She’ll take a step back while Alicia cools down. “She knows there is nothing she can say,” Panjabi says.

The Good Wife: Chase’s Kelli Giddish to play a blast from Kalinda’s past

Although it’s unclear whether Alicia will ever really forgive her, Panjabi says she has been pleasantly surprised by the fan reaction in spite of the fallout.

“For some reason, people haven’t taken it out against Kalinda. I think they are surprised at what Kalinda’s done, but they don’t seem to be completely furious with her,” Panjabi says. “I think people are sort of let down, but they are not annoyed or angry with her. And if you think about what she’s done, she’s kind of broken up a whole family.”

The Good Wife: Alicia’s bad timing strikes again

On the flip side, Panjabi says Alicia and Kalinda’s separation will allow time for new friendships for both characters. And unlike her rival investigator Blake, Sophia (Kelli Giddish) will be much more of a friendly investigator who will bring out a “new side of Kalinda,” according to Panjabi.

Then there’s Cary (Matt Czuchry). He and Kalinda have always put their work before their personal lives, but Panjabi says that’s about to change. As for anything more between them? The actress isn’t saying, but let’s not forget that kiss from earlier this season.

Castle Season 3 Finale Recap: 3.24 “The Knockout” Captain Mongomery Killed, Beckett Shot, Castle Says I Love You

‘Castle’ finale kills one, maybe two cops and exposes a dark secret

Source: Zap2it.com, 5-16-11

castle-stana-katic-season-3-finale.jpg They are dropping like flies.

Season 3 of “Castle” promised to end with death, but we may have just gotten more than we bargained for.

The first big departure came somewhat predictably in the last act — after a game-changing revelation, naturally — but the real shocker was reserved for the final moments, when another series regular was seemingly felled.

But how did we get there? We start, as we do with most noteworthy “Castle” outings, with looming mystery of Beckett’s (Stana Katic) murdered mom. She goes to meet the mystery killer’s imprisoned associate Hal Lockwood –as she so often does — only to find that he’s been transferred to less secure facility where another accessory the conspiracy/murder, Gary McAllister, awaits his silencing execution.

Since even people in prison for murder can still be tried for another murder, Lockwood has a late-night hearing where something looks suspicious.

Now, did we accidentally stumble into a cold war thriller, or did the season finale of “Castle” actually include a helicopter breaking a gangster out of a New York City court room? It sure did. And with the closest known associate to Johanna Beckett’s murderer on the lamb, the hunt pushes Beckett back into the danger zone.

This does not sit well with Castle (Nathan Fillion). He tries to get his partner to back off, but she snaps. They fight, he even brings up the cuddles and unspoken-of kiss and then they appear to sever their partnership — but it can’t possibly last. They did that last finale.

While all of this is going down, Montgomery (Ruben Santiago-Hudson) makes all sorts of foreboding comments, fatherly references and general red flag type statements that lead to the correct conclusion that he’s going to die. What it did not prepare us for was the revelation that he’s been part of the Johanna Beckett conspiracy from the beginning.

Oh yeah. That’s right. We’ll wait for you to affix your jaw to the rest of your face.

Turns out Montgomery was an unwilling accessory to the evil-doing. He accidentally shot another cop, made the wrong friends and ended up employing the woman who’s mother he was tangentially involved in murdering. He promised the still-unnamed villain he’d keep an eye on her, in exchange for her safety.

But he’s been doing a bad job, so a freed Lockwood pays him a visit and makes the situation clear:  either Beckett goes down or the entire Montgomery clan gets murdered.

He arranges to meet with Beckett — while Esposito (Jon Huertas) and Ryan (Seamus Dever) do some sleuthing of their own, turning up evidence that puts Montgomery in the middle of the crimey web. Ryan is the first to point out the damning info. Esposito gets real mad at him for questioning the chief. The world’s shortest bro fight ensues, and Esposito concedes that they need to tell Beckett.

But she’s too busy having her world turned upside down by a confession from Montgomery, who hasn’t sold her out at all. He’s drawn Lockwood to the hanger to kill him and spare Beckett and his family. Only he makes two very big mistakes in the process.

1.) He does not tell Beckett who killed her mother, saying she won’t be able to control or protect herself in possession of the information, so she can’t have it. Lame.

2.) He dies.

He did get forgiven before he went though. It’s sweet, but we bet she would have really forgiven him if he’d told her who the killer was. Beckett, Castle, Esposito and Ryan agree that the truth about Montgomery never come out. He’ll die a hero.

And at his hero’s funeral, Beckett even delivers a eulogy… for two!

We see her in the cross-hairs, just as Castle spots a laser sight, and though he dives to save her, she takes a bullet to the chest. There’s blood everywhere, and her eyes roll back into her head, leaving her presumably dead and us extremely anxious until some unknown date in September when the show returns.

Could Beckett really be dead, though? Of course not. Unless there are some plans to kill off most of the remaining cast and reboot the series as a multi-generational “Cagney and Lacey” starring Susan Sullivan and Molly Quinn, she’ll be just fine.

Castle Finale: Castle and Beckett Put All Their Cards on the Table

Source: TV Guide, 5-15-11

It’s been a stressful season for Castle fans dying to see author Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and his muse, Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), become more than friends and partners.

Finale Preview: Get scoop on 39 season-enders

They kissed. They held each other tightly as they nearly died together in a freezer. They shared a giant Los Angeles hotel suite that, despite its roominess, couldn’t contain the sexual tension. And in Monday’s finale (10/9c, ABC) all of those issues will be addressed.

“Both characters lay their cards on their table,” creator and executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe tells TVGuide.com. “[They] come to an understanding about the issues that they’re dealing with and the ways in which each of them were approaching the relationship. There’s a knockdown, drag-out fight where Castle’s like, ‘Look, what do we mean to each other?'”

Unfortunately, this meeting of the minds comes just as Beckett once again goes down the rabbit hole chasing her mother’s killer. When sniper Hal Lockwood (Max Martini) — who killed Beckett’s last solid lead earlier this season — escapes from prison, the case is re-opened. And some of the new information hits far too close to home.

Check out photos of the Castle cast

“This is Beckett as her rawest,” Marlowe says. “Not everything that she thought was true is actually true. She has to confront some very serious issues in her own life and in her relationships when the truth comes out. She doesn’t really like what she finds, but she’s going to keep going, even though it puts her in danger.”

And that danger isn’t just limited to Beckett. Marlowe confirms that before the season ends, one major character will be in a body bag, and he says the early Season 4 renewal made it possible to take such risks in the storytelling.

“Knowing that we’re not in a position where we have to resolve everything and that we can push ourselves into deeper mystery and more complicated relationships allowed us to embrace this kind of story,” Marlowe says. “It was something we started looking at early in the season, and then after we were renewed, I felt very comfortable moving forward with it.

Castle exclusive: ABC launches RichardCastle.net

“It’s always uncomfortable for any show creator to have to end a relationship with somebody they’ve created along the way,” Marlowe continues. “But sometimes to challenge your characters for the continuation of the show, it’s an important thing to do.”

While we’re fairly certain the show wouldn’t kill its female lead, Marlowe insists that Beckett’s recklessness is a major concern. “Everybody knows that in pursuing this case, she’s basically running in the way of the bad guys and it’s going to get her killed,” Marlowe says. “So everybody that cares about her is just trying to protect her. At the end of the day she cares too much about this case to be protected. [She’s] pretty much pushing everybody away.”

Castle‘s Season 3 finale airs Monday at 10/9c on ABC.

Exclusive: Marvel and ABC Team for Castle-Inspired Graphic Novel

Nathan Fillion, Castle

Bummed that Castle‘s season is ending? This ought to brighten your summer.

Castle finale: Castle and Beckett put all their cards on the table

Marvel Entertainment and ABC Studios have teamed up to create a hardcover graphic novel inspired by the ABC’s Castle, TVGuide.com has learned. Titled Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm, it’s the first partnership between Marvel and ABC since Disney, which owns ABC, acquired Marvel last year.

The book focuses on Derrick Storm, the protagonist of Richard Castle’s most popular series of novels. Viewers may recall that Castle (Nathan Fillion) began following Beckett (Stana Katic) for inspiration for a new series of books after he made the decision to kill off Derrick Storm, with whom he’d become bored.

“We are incredibly excited to be partnering with Marvel to bring Richard Castle’s early literary works to life,” Castle creator and executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe said. “It’s a great way to expand the Castle universe for all our fans.”

Castle exclusive: ABC launches RichardCastle.net

The 112-page graphic novel will be written by Brian Michael Bendis (Avengers, Ultimate Comics Spider-Man) and Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain America and The Secret Avengers). Lan Medina (Fables) will handle the interior art; Carlo Pagulayan (Planet Hulk) created the cover art, which can be seen below as well as in Monday’s Season 3 finale of Castle (10/9c, ABC).

This is the latest branding experiment ABC has tried with Castle. The network has already teamed with Hyperion Books to publish two novels — Heat Wave and Naked Heat — that parallel Castle’s work with Beckett, the inspiration for the author’s heroine Nikki Heat. A third book, Heat Rises, is due in the fall. ABC also launched RichardCastle.Net in April.

Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm will be available in stores in September 2011.

True Blood – Character Promotional Posters

Question: Season 3 has barely started, but I am dying for some True Blood news. Got any to share?
Ausiello:
Exec producer Alan Ball teases that a big secret Bill’s “been carrying with him gets revealed at the end of the season.” That noise you hear is the sound of me dipping into the Ausiello Files archives and going Hmm…

Question: Have you received confirmation from Alan Ball that Talbot and Eric will get, ahem, down to business on True Blood this season?
Ausiello:
No, but I haven’t received a denial from him, either. “I think one of the things about being a vampire and living for 100 years is you pretty much try everything,” Ball says. “Whether or not [Talbot and Eric] end up getting together I can’t reveal. I’ll definitely tell you that this season is pretty pansexual.” Yeah, got that bit from the first two episodes.

Breaking: HBO renews ‘True Blood’

No surprise here: HBO has renewed True Blood for a fourth season, to debut in summer 2011.

The news comes just one week after the hit vampire saga kicked off its third season to near-record ratings.

“The new season of True Blood is off to a terrific start, as enthusiasm for this unique show continues to build among both subscribers and critics,” enthused HBO president Michael Lombardo in a statement. “We’re looking forward to more chills from Alan Ball and his gifted team next year.”

Added exec producer Alan Ball: “I am beyond thrilled to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew. This is the most fun I have ever had.”

What’s the word on True Blood? Are Sookie and Bill really over?
They’re so not in a happy place. But one of them will be in a sexy place. Here’s what I can tell you about the first three episodes: Either Bill or Sookie has sex with someone, and it is hands-down the most unforgettable (you will have dreams/nightmares afterward!) sex scene in the entire run of True Blood so far. Here’s what else you can expect from the first three episodes:

1. Someone tries to commit suicide.
2. Someone tries to kill a sibling.
3. Someone loses his head.
4. Someone is pregnant.
5. Someone has a one night stand–and it’s the last person you’d expect.
6. Someone has an underground sex marathon–and it’s the first person you’d expect.
7. There are more bare backsides than a gym locker room, and one belongs to one Mr. Alexander Skaarsgård. This just in from Alan Ball: You’re welcome.

True Blood – Episode 3.12 – Evil is Going On (Season Finale)

True Blood — A Beginner’s Guide Before Season 3

With only a couple days until the season 3 premiere of True Blood, there are no doubt a lot of people out there wondering what all the hype is about. After all, True Blood, like the Sopranos and Dexter, is a cable show, and not everyone has access to pay channels like HBO and Showtime. So, with those potential fans in mind, here’s a run down of everything you need to know as we begin season 3 of True Blood.

What the Hell is This Show About Anyway?

It’s easy to buy into the notion that True Blood is yet another vampire/werewolf show, designed to capitalize on the popularity of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series. The comparisons of the two series, both based on popular novels, stop at vampires and supernatural creatures.

One of the show’s unique features is that it takes place on both a global and local level.

Globally, True Blood imagines a world in which vampires have come “out of the coffin” and announced their presence to the world. A Japanese company has created a synthetic blood beverage, called “Tru Blood,” which provides all the nutritional benefits of real blood without the unfortunate consequences to “donors.” As a result, vampires are out and about at night, enjoying their “lives” as real citizens.

Not everyone appreciates the vampires, though. Several religious and political activist groups (namely the Fellowship of the Sun church) have tried to make the vamps go away. This has caused the vampires to fight for equal rights. Throughout the series, we have seen television clips of vampire leaders advocating on television for the Vampire Rights Amendment.

Other supernatural groups exist in this world, too, namely shapeshifters, who are capable of taking the form of various animals. There has also been mention of werewolves, too, although at this point, prior to season 3’s start, we have not actually met any werewolves. In season 2, we were also introduced to a maenad who represented a significant threat to all of the characters. It’s important to note that in Charlaine Harris’ novels, there are a lot of supernatural creatures lurking all over the place – fairies, werepanthers, weretigers, etc.

No Black Lagoon critters, though. Sigh.

On a local level, the story is set in Bon Temps, Louisiana. Bon Temps is a backwoods southern small town, about a half hour or so out of Shreveport. The town is populated by a unique group of people whose lives are affected in dynamic ways by the supernatural presence around them.

Why Bon Temps? Who knows? Maybe there’s something special about this place that draws otherworldly beings.

So True Blood is really about the effect of a political movement on everyday America. If you thought the show had a lot in common with Twilight, you might want to reconsider.

Who ARE These People (and Why Should I Care)?

Like most memorable television shows, True Blood’s value is in its characters. We only care about what’s happening if we care about them. Here are the characters you need to know right away.

Sookie Stackhouse: Sookie is a barmaid at Merlotte’s Bar & Grill. She’s perky, pretty and proud. She’s also telepathic. At first she sees this gift as a disability, but eventually realizes that it can come quite handy. Sookie falls in love with Bill pretty much at first sight, mainly because she can’t read the minds of vampires – something to do with them being dead.

What you need to know most about her is that she is brave and resourceful. Regardless of the odds, Sookie somehow manages to rise above her station in life to stand up for herself and those she loves.

Bill Compton: Bill is a vampire who moves back into his family’s estate in Bon Temps after the vampires made themselves public. Bill is reasonable, intelligent, and – at times – controlling. He hates that he is a vampire and tries his best to be more like humans. His love for Sookie is deep and passionate, and he has nearly sacrificed his life to save hers.

Eric Northman: Eric is a vampire who runs Fangtasia, a vampire bar in Shreveport. He is also the vampire sheriff of Area Five in Louisiana, putting him in charge of every vampire in the vicinity, including Bill. Eric is fair and thoughtful, but ultimately self-serving. Like Bill, though, he is passionate about Sookie, and makes no bones about wanting to jump hers.

Sam Merlotte: Sam is the owner of Merlotte’s Bar & Grill in Bon Temps. Sam is also a shapeshifter. He is rare in that he can take the shape of virtually any animal he chooses, but he usually prefers to be a collie. At his core, Sam is loyal and loving, yet he also has a great internal conflict. He doesn’t seem to know his place in the world and thinks that he needs to discover who his birth parents are in order to answer the question.

Tara Thornton: Tara is Sookie’s best friend. She was raised by an alcoholic mother and harbors a lot of bitterness towards her, although events in season 2 have helped her to let go of some of this resentment. On the surface, Tara is stubborn and tough, but underneath she is quite insecure and afraid of being alone.

Jason Stackhouse: Sookie’s brother. Jason is thick-headed, foolhardy, and completely self-involved. He’s easily fooled and has a Forrest Gump-esque way of being in the right place at the right time.

Jessica Hamby: Jessica is a 16-year old who was turned into a vampire by Bill as punishment for killing another vamp at Fangtasia. At first, Jessica was timid and scared, but as she has recognized her power, she has developed a hunger and is quite unstable. She fell in love with Jason’s best friend, Hoyt, but heartbreak has only poisoned her.

Lafayette Reynolds: Lafayette is the cook at Merlotte’s Bar & Grill, but he’s much more than that. He’s also a drug dealer (specializing in selling vampire blood, of ‘V’ as it’s called on the street), a male prostitute, and an all-around bad ass. After being taken captive by Eric for illegally selling ‘V,’ Lafayette has become more withdrawn and frightened.

Other characters of note are Pam, Eric’s sarcastic second-in-command, Hoyt, Jason’s best friend, and Andy Bellefleur, the alcoholic local detective. Arlene is Sookie’s co-worker and friend at Merlotte’s, and Terry Bellefleur is a shell-shocked war vet who works for Sam.

What Do I Need To Know, Plot-Wise, Before Starting Season Three?

The toughest part about watching a new television series without having seen any previous episodes is trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Some procedural shows make this easy by making each episode self-contained, but True Blood is not procedural. Its story is told in season long arcs, with events from previous seasons coming back to effect the characters and plot.

So, which events are important to know about, since this article can’t replace a more thorough episode guide?

Here are five events you need to keep in mind going into season 3.

1. Sookie has shared the blood of both Bill and Eric. In season 1, Sookie rescued Bill from a couple wicked vampire drainers (looking to score ‘V’ to sell), and was later jumped and beaten to within an inch of her life. Bill gave Sookie his blood to heal her, since vampire blood has healing qualities. Bill also gave Sookie his blood after she was attacked by Maryann the maenad in season 2.

In season 2, after members of the Fellowship of the Sun attacked a group of vampires, Eric was struck by a bullet and encouraged Sookie to remove the bullet from him by sucking it out of him.

Ingesting the blood of a vampire gives them the ability to sense the person’s feelings and location. It also causes the person who took the blood to have heightened senses, and makes them more sexually motivated. Taking Eric’s blood will be a pivotal concern of season 3.

2. Jason killed Tara’s boyfriend, Eggs. It was established early in the series that Tara has a major crush on Sookie’s brother, and has since they were kids. At the end of season 2, though, Tara had finally developed what looked like a positive romantic relationship with Eggs, one of the maenad’s puppets. Eggs, unfortunately, discovered that he had been the maenad’s main murder weapon. In an attempt to turn himself over to Andy Bellefleur, he was shot by Jason. Jason thought that Eggs, who was holding the knife he had used to help Maryann kill her victims, was going to kill Andy, so he took action. Now, Tara’s boyfriend is dead, killed by the one man she has always held a candle for. Expect fireworks here.

3. Sam found out the whereabouts of his birth parents. After nearly getting killed by Maryann in a ritual sacrifice to bring the god Dionysus to Earth, Sam realized he needed to know more about his roots. He returned to his foster parents, from whom he had run away as a teenager, demanding some information. His foster father gave him an address while on his death bed. Sam will be visiting these people. Who know where this is headed…

4. Bill was kidnapped. At the end of season 2, Bill takes Sookie to a fancy French restaurant and proposes marriage. Unsure of what to say, Sookie excuses herself to the restroom. She returns, ready to say “yes,” and finds that Bill is missing. Where is he?

5. Bill was held captive by his maker, Lorena. During season 2, Sookie and Bill went to Dallas to help Eric locate his maker, Godric, who had offered himself as a sacrifice to the Fellowship of the Sun. In Dallas, Bill encountered Lorena, his maker, whom he had not seen in years. We learned that a maker has a remarkable hold on his or her “children,” and that Lorena’s hold on Bill is quite strong. If she calls, he has to come.

  • Ben was fired for attacking Ricky.  Why did Ben attack Ricky? Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Ricky and Amy are considering becoming a couple.  Ben and Adrian consider faking an engagement to make Ricky and Amy jealous.
  • Dr. Fields and Leo meet up at a restaurant.

General Season 3 Spoilers

  • Depending on how you look at it, this summer’s episodes can be considered either season 5 or the first half of season 3.

  • Ben and Amy will be reconnecting — and by “reconnecting” we mean they’ll be kissing again and Amy will reconsider starting something new with Ben. Amy will admit her love for Ricky, but just what does she mean by that?

Take a good look at the photo to your left. One of the three studmuffins—okay, two studmuffins and one very handsome young man—will come tumbling out of the closet on 90210 this fall.

And this isn’t some sort of angst-fueled, bi-curious sweeps arc à la Adrianna’s season 2 flirtation with Rumer Willis. We will learn that the straight-acting character in question—let the record show that we’re referring to Matt Lanter’s recovering rebel Liam, Michael Steger’s smart and tenderhearted Navid, or Trevor Donovan’s tennis pro Teddy—is actually gay.

How can I be so sure? Well, for starters, one of the show’s producers is confirming it. “We want to address the issue in a real and relatable way,” says co-EP Jennie Urman, who says the coming-out plot is but one of several “great story lines” fans can look forward to in season 3.

Private Practice Season 3 Finale: Shocking Death!

Private Practice Cast Dishes on Tragic Season Finale

Private Practice

Grab a few boxes of tissues, a pint of ice cream or a bottle of wine, because — according to KaDee Strickland — these are things you’ll need while watching the season finale of Private Practice. “It’s very Godfather-y,” adds Paul Adelstein. “Everything gets wrapped up. Today we settle all family business.” So what business needs to be settled? Get the scoop on the devastating season finale — which includes at least one death — straight from the cast below:

Exclusive: Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice‘s next crossover? A Shepherd reunion

Game on: “There’s a battle between Sheldon [Brian Benben] and Cooper for Charlotte’s affections,” says Adelstein who plays Cooper. “Amidst all of this craziness, Cooper sees Sheldon closing in and also feels scared in the face of what’s happening to Maya [Geffri Maya Hightower], so he goes for it.”

Who wins? “There’s every reason to believe these two can make it,” says Strickland on Charlotte and Cooper. “In real life, it’s the strangest pairings that work out best.”

Home wrecker much? “I don’t want to break up Pete [Tim Daly] and Addison [Kate Walsh],” says Amy Brenneman. “If there is breaking up, that’s not my thing. I think she’s extremely respectful and grateful.”

Private Practice exclusive: Who is getting engaged and will it stick?

Reunited and it feels so good: “There is always a possibility to reconcile friendships,” says Walsh of Addison’s estrangement from Naomi (Audra McDonald) this season. Adds McDonald: “In the stress of the moment, Naomi tries to make peace with Addison.”

Less baby drama than we thought? “Dell [Chris Lowell] helps deliver Maya’s baby,” teases Lowell.

Tragedy unites: “There’s nothing like a great tragedy to bring people together,” says Walsh of the divided practice after Violet and Pete’s custody battle. “In the end, even if they have these rivalries, they all kind of grow up in the face of tragedy.”

Private Practice: Are Addison and Sam meant to be?

Grab some Kleenex: “You better get your hankies out and you might want to get a pint of ice cream because this [finale] is going to knock you on your tail; either that or a bottle of wine. That’s Dr. Charlotte King’s prescription,” Strickland jokes about her character. Adds Brenneman: “It’ll be devastating for the audience, so if you want a bang for your buck, you’re going to get it.”

Um, ABC is renewing the show, right? “We don’t have an official pickup, but we do know when we’re starting [production] again, so figure that one out,” jokes Adelstein.

Who do you think is dying in the season finale? Check TVGuide.com on Friday morning for our exclusive interview with the departing star.

But when she and Evan are partnered together to patrol each of the houses for signs of any prohibited beverages, they each have a brownie at the Psi Phi house – unaware of its secret ingredient – causing them to hide out in the ZBZ bathroom until the effects wear off. Meanwhile, Ashleigh frantically tries to find Casey, and Fisher offers to help, making her further question whether or not she should take him back. Tune in for an all new episode of the ABC Family hit series “Greek,” premiering Monday, September 21, 2009 (9:00 – 10:00 PM ET/PT). The episode, entitled “High and Dry,” was written by Casey Johnson & David Windsor and directed by Shawn Piller.

Grant’s high school girlfriend, Whitney (played by Leslie-Anne Huff), surprises Grant (and Calvin!) by visiting for his birthday. Calvin enlists Rebecca’s help on a double date as he patiently waits for Grant to tell Whitney the truth about himself.

Rusty learns that he earned a new nickname in the engineering school because of his slipping grades. He decides to approach the infamous Dr. Larsen at his book signing event to see if he will sponsor Rusty in an experiment. Cappie joins him for moral support and attempts to flirt with the engineering girls.

General Spoilers

By the end of the show’s current 10Preview-episode run, Casey will be in a committed, long-term relationship with either Cappie or Evan. (Michael Ausiello)

Ashleigh and Casey are having big problems this season. Amber Stevens says, “Their friendship will be tested. [The fight] won’t last too long, but they are definitely unhappy with each other and have to figure out if they can make their friendship work. Ashleigh is mad at a lot of people next season.” (Watch With Kristin)

Dilshad Vadsaria teases, “There’s a whole Comic-Con episode. There are aliens involved.” (Watch With Kristin)

Dilshad Vadsaria talking about the new season: “We start where we left off and there’s flashbacks to the End of the World party that show the audience things no one knew about in the season finale. Every character is affected by what happens at this party. Rebecca did something really bad to a friend. She really hurt a really good friend, so she’s trying to make up for it. It’s somebody who she cares about, and Rebecca doesn’t do that for everybody. In this case, Rebecca is actually apologetic, and she does truly feel bad and tries to redeem herself. Maybe not in the best way, but she tries.” (Watch With Kristin)

Amber Stevens talking about the new season: “Something big has happened at the End of the World party, and it will cause some problems between Ashleigh and Fisher [Andrew West]. Ashleigh will have Fisher on a short leash for a little while, while they try to figure out if their relationship is worth salvaging. Something does happen where they are going to have some problems between the two of them.” (Watch With Kristin)

Amber Stevens talking about the ZBZ house this season: “What’s going on with the ZBZ house is that they’re no longer No. 1 on campus. There’s a possibility of making the house No. 1 again, and it all falls on Ashleigh, and she doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing. She doesn’t have any experience and never even asked to be the president. She has no idea what her duties entail and that gets her in trouble with the new pledges in the house. She is asking Casey all the time for help, and just trying to figure out what to do.” (Watch With Kristin)

Is Cappie going to come to his senses and be with Casey? The question will be answered this season. You’ll have to wait a little bit to really get into what’s going to happen, but first episode back Casey and Cappie are going to figure it out. You’ll get some sort of answer right at the beginning of the season. I don’t know that Ashleigh really approves Cappie for Casey, but she knows they’re meant for each other. (Watch With Kristin)

There are no specific love interests for Rebecca, but there might be a little spark that doesn’t necessarily come to fruition. They want to see where that goes and where they’re going to take that relationship, but there is a spark. I think now you’re going to see Rebecca figuring out that she’s in the house and in college, so she’s going to have fun. There are things that she does, and you kind of wish you could do it. She’s going to be that girl. (Watch With Kristin)

The friendship with Cappie and Evan [Jake McDorman]—they are trying to figure out if they can be friends with each other. Also, the relationship that Calvin [Paul James] gets into takes you through the season. (Watch With Kristin)

Ashleigh has an arc on how she perceives people. You have Rusty’s [Jacob Zachar] relationship, not just with Jordan [Johanna Braddy], who is his love interest. Rusty and Dale’s [Clark Duke] relationship goes to a place where you really didn’t think Rusty and Dale could ever go to. I think every character is given something. Also, the Kappa Tau and Omega Chi relationship—definitely with the season finale—that’s going to be huge. (Watch With Kristin)

Olivia Munn causes a love dispute between some of the boys on the show; she starts somewhat of a triangle with the boys. Nora Kirkpatrick comes on the show as one of the Panhellenic leaders, and she’s really funny. She and Spencer have a lot of scenes together. [Charisma Carpenter] won’t be back this season. Not yet, so far. (Watch With Kristin)

Gossip Girl – First 3 Episode Spoilers

These come from someone who 2 weeks ago claimed to have seen the 1st 3 Episodes. We did not post them until we could confirm the details. With the release today of the new Promotional Photos, we now feel that they probably did see the episodes.

Here is what they are saying.

Chuck decides he is going to open a speakeasy in the 1st few episodes and gets mad at Serena who *beep* it up for him during a meeting by saying something stupid. So, he tries to make up for it by trying to impress the man he is trying to make the deal with by obtaining this painting. It turns out to be the same painting that Blair needs to get into some snobby society (that turns out to be fake- Georgina sets her up). So they big against one another, Serena ends up getting it at the last second-and gives it to Blair. Blair in the end gives it to Chuck and tells him she believes in him. Chuck in turn tells the guy he was trying to make a deal with to go screw himself that he is going to buy the whole damned hotel. And then the episode (3) ends with him and Blair skipping off with a bottle of champagne to enjoy the Penthouse Suite of his new hotel. Lots of good stuff with them the first 3 episodes.Carter grown on me at e.3.There is a steamy scene i could remember with chuck and blair.

The show is currently shooting a scene which has Chuck Bass kiss another man. The person he kisses is Neal Bledsoe, who’s guest-starring in episode 6 as Josh Ellis, NYU’s head of freshman affairs. Since Josh is tasked with selecting an incoming student for the honor of delivering the freshman speech, he’s a person of interest to Blair. In fact, she’s so determined to snag the slot that she goes so far as to pimp out her boyfriend out to the gay guy in charge. (Michael Ausiello)

Olivia’s (Hilary Duff) new guy is actually an old flame. Olivia first appears in episode four on Gossip Girl this season, and shortly thereafter we meet her ex-boyfriend, who’s interested in getting back in her life. (Watch With Kristin)

With Chuck kissing a guy: The kiss itself isn’t the issue. It’s the general lack of trust between them [Chuck and Blair] that causes problems. And the tension grows the following week when another breakdown in trust occurs — this time involving the bar Chuck opens in his new hotel. (Michael Ausiello)

Olivia (Hillary Duff) has a new man in her life. His name is Patrick and they’re co-stars in the Twilight Vampire Knight movie franchise. Casting is under way for the two-episode role. (Michael Ausiello)

Gossip Girl – Latest from Ausiello – Chuck is gay?

Spotted: Chuck Bass sucking face with a dude!

It’s true! Multiple Gossip Girl insiders confirm to me exclusively that the CW phenom is currently shooting an episode for its upcoming third season in which Ed Westwick’s legendary lothario kisses another man.

So who’s the lucky guy? And what are the circumstances surrounding the same-sex smooch? Keep reading for all the spoilery details…

First things first: Sorry to disappoint, but no, it’s not Chace Crawford. Westwick’s “romantic” interest is up-and-comer Neal Bledsoe (CSI: NY, Guiding Light), who’s guest-starring in episode 6 as Josh Ellis, NYU’s head of freshman affairs. Since Josh is tasked with selecting an incoming student for the honor of delivering the freshman speech, he’s, shall we say, a person of interest to Blair. In fact, she’s so determined to snag the slot that she goes so far as to pimp out her boyfriend out to the gay guy in charge.

The catch? All you need to know is there is one. Oh, and wait until you hear what Chuck says to Blair following the lip-lock. (Must. Resist. Temptation. To. Spoil.)

It was only a matter of time before GG played the maybe-gay card with Chuck, who swung both ways in Cecily von Ziegesar’s Gossip Girl books.

What do you think? Surprised? Titillated? Horrified? Choose your adjectives below!

Gossip Girl – Neal Bledsoe Interview

In a matter of minutes last week, Neal Bledsoe went from being a mostly unknown actor to the guy who made out with Ed Westwick on Gossip Girl. The headline-making kiss doesn’t air until Oct. 19, but Bledsoe — who plays a gay NYU alumni whom Blair pimps boyfriend Chuck out to — happily offered us a sneak preview of the can’t-miss episode (and broke some big career news in the process).

How has your life changed in the past week?
NEAL BLEDSOE: My mom is certainly a thousand times more proud of me. And it was my first experience with the paparazzi knowing my name, which was strange. I thought maybe Neil Diamond or Neil Sedaka was standing behind me.

Tell me about your character.
BLEDSOE: Initially I was supposed to play the dean of the freshman class. But then they hired a 28-year-old actor so that seemed like a little bit of a stretch. Now I play a lawyer who is a very well connected alumni at the university who has a hand in deciding who is going to give the famous freshman speech.

An honor you agree to extend to Blair in exchange for the kiss. Is it as simple as you just wanting to say you made out with the legendary Chuck Bass?
BLEDSOE: I will tell you this: I have a very unexpected and darker motivation about it.

Was shooting the kiss awkward?
BLEDSOE: No. We were both professionals about it. [It helped] that we got to know each other a little bit beforehand. And we certainly rehearsed it.

Rehearsed it? How many takes did you do?
BLEDSOE: [Laughs] More than a few.

How would you characterize the kiss? Steamy? A little peck?
BLEDSOE: I would characterize it as a nice kiss.

Complete this sentence: Ed Westwick kisses just like…
BLEDSOE: [Laughs] …he kisses just like Chuck Bass.

What did your girlfriend think?
BLEDSOE: She was happy I wasn’t kissing any of the girls on the show. She might’ve had some Blake Lively envy.

At what point in the process did you find out about the kiss?
BLEDSOE: There was an asterisk on the character breakdown that said, ‘Actor must kiss Ed Westwick in the episode.’

Your first reaction?
BLEDSOE: Things like that shouldn’t matter. Unfortunately for some actors things like that do matter and they’ll turn down projects because of it. I thought it was a really fun episode. I had an awesome time doing it. And I think it would’ve been a shame if I was not open-minded enough to do the episode simply because I had to kiss another man.

Might your character return at some point?
BLEDSOE: I have no idea. That’s up to the writers.

Where do you go from here?
BLEDSOE: I don’t think I’d be breaking my confidentially agreement by saying this: I’m going to be in the Sex and the City sequel.

Who are you playing?
BLEDSOE: Um… It’s a character in the Sex and the City sequel.

Gossip Girl – Josh Safran dishes on Season 3

Gossip Girl begins its third season Monday September 14, and the pre-premiere chatter is louder than ever. So to quiet everyone down (or possibly amp them up further), I’m presenting a three-part interview with Josh Safran, writer and co-executive producer of Gossip Girl. There was much to discuss.

There is the kiss that launched a thousand spoiler alerts. (For those of you just returning from space, journalists and bloggers ran with a leaked storyline where Blair furthers a hairbrained agenda by fooling Chuck into kissing a man.) There is the heightened sensitivity that Safran, the show’s only gay writer, feels towards covering gay themes. There is the story behind Gossip Girl’s more outrageous stories. And the most scandalous of all: there are schemes to foil the leakers. Or at least to try. And so, without further delay, I bring you Josh Safran, part one.

Adrienne Gruben: The kiss leak is born from this new age of spoilers, a relatively new phenomenon that’s been building, but gained more traction this year. NPR even did a story on them. Some people say they create great intrigue and some say they dampen a story’s impact. What is your take?

Josh Safran: First of all, I was surprised [by the leak]. We never intended it to get out there, and we didn’t want it to, either. I understand why they exist and some people like them and some people don’t, and if you don’t like them, don’t look, but what I don’t like is how it feels more and more like everything is being spoiled. Like there isn’t somebody going, “You know what? I have two pieces of information. Why don’t I use one and not the other?” Although not everything gets out, of course, it’s sometimes hard to write stuff when you feel like “can we do this, or will it get out?” It’s just troubles us. I wish that people gave a little more care to what they put out there.

AG: As you know, but some of the readers might not, Gossip Girl was developed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage based upon the books by Cecily Von Ziegesar. In the books, Chuck was bisexual. Personalities Examiner Jorge Carreon wanted to know why, in adapting Chuck’s character for the show, he was not also written as bisexual.

JS: Chuck is not bisexual in the first book. The pilot mirrors the first book, and Josh and Stephanie drew from there for each character. We’ve deviated from the books for the show quite a bit, but it’s important to state that there was never a “we don’t want to make Chuck bisexual” conversation. The book was used merely as the launching point for the character of Chuck, for each character. Once the show was up and running, the writers’ room mindset, per Josh and Stephanie, was to “let the books be the books and let’s use them where we can, but let’s also make the series the series.” Also, you have to remember that when we started, the entire series of books is a year of their high school life– their Senior year. Josh and Stephanie made them Juniors for the first season, so we couldn’t even delve into the college stuff yet. And now, we are so far away from the books in a lot of ways, especially after Season 1.

AG: Were you planning to use the kiss as part of the promo marketing before the episode?

JS: All I can say is that the moment that people are talking about was created organically for the story. And there was honestly never any thought that it would be anything other than enjoyable for the audience as they watched. We just thought, “This will be a great episode,” and I think the audience will see when they view the show that [that moment is] not a stunt. I’m proud of how we’ve woven gay characters into the tapestry of the show. I feel like, as the only gay writer on the show from the beginning and as someone who feels a huge responsibility towards the creation of fully realized gay characters in television, I am supremely proud of what Gossip Girl has done with its gay characters.

AG: Like Eric?

JS: Yes, if you look at Eric, in my mind, he is in one of the only, if not the only, secure relationship on the show. He is also one of the youngest out gay males on network television. And starting with Georgina’s outing of Eric, we’ve done, in my opinion, really strong stuff surrounding the reality of being a gay teenager, that how for some people in your world it’s not a big deal, but for other people, they might try to use it against you, hurt you for it. It’s never black and white, and it’s never easy.

AG: On the reality of being a gay teenager, Eric attempted suicide in the first episode. Teenagers attempt suicide more than any other demographic, but then to add the difficulty of being a gay, closeted teenager into the mix, and in a rigid society no less…

JS: After the pilot, where Eric had attempted suicide, Josh and Stephanie gathered all the writers and we met with people from a suicide prevention organization in Washington. They had seen the episode and they wanted to talk to us about the responsible ways to further that story and I was very grateful for that. We all were. We talked about how one of the top reasons for young, male suicide attempts in America is over struggles with homosexuality, and from that moment on it became clear that that was Eric’s story, and Stephanie and Josh were quick to embrace it. For me that ties back to what it’s like to be a gay, closeted teenager who is having issues and doesn’t feel comfortable with coming out. I was hoping that in showing Eric’s story, the way we have from the beginning, we would be saying to someone in a similar situation, “Your life doesn’t have to be so scary, you are not alone.” Eric was outed, but he ultimately found power in that and he eventually was accepted by everyone. He accepted himself. I feel like we still approach any subject matter from the Gay and Lesbian viewpoint with the same kind of responsibility.

AG: Wow. After hearing all that, I feel bad bringing this up, but I’ve read some criticisms of Eric’s story lines online, that you don’t use him enough.

JS: I’ve read the internet talk, some amongst the gay community that we don’t tell enough stories with Eric, I feel it’s important to add that we don’t drive stories through Eric because he is not a regular. That goes for anyone who is not a regular, but I think that actually works because it allows Eric to have a healthy relationship with Jonathan. If we had to showcase him more, that wouldn’t be the case. This is Gossip Girl. I mean, look at the regulars’ relationships – up and down each week! He has a great relationship.

AG: So with all of that back-story on the show’s intentions for gay themes, and your feelings of personal responsibility, let’s get back to the kiss, which it turns out, did not come from a place of gay for the sake of shock value, or gay for the sake of a shocking promo.

JS: Look, of course once in a while we’re like, “Wow, wouldn’t it be explosive if “X” happened?” but that’s usually more like, “Wouldn’t it be explosive if Serena was on the end of a Ponzi scheme?”. We don’t think about the smaller moments. We don’t think about what they’re going to promo. It does not come through our heads because from a logistical point of view, when we’re breaking a story, it’s so far away to its airdate. This kiss happens in episode 6, and episode 1 hasn’t even aired yet, and won’t for weeks! We’d so like to bury things so that people are actually surprised when they watch the episode, but lately with all the spoiler sites that isn’t possible. Our intention for this was that people’s jaws would drop while actually watching the episode because they wouldn’t know we were going there. And the thing is, it’s a great episode filled with so many juicy things. It’s not like we were sitting their pitching promos like “You’ll never believe what Chuck’s about to do!”, and again, when you see the episode, you will see it’s not that kind of moment. It’s truly a tiny character beat in a much larger story. I’d be the first person to say, there’s no way we can do that if it’s going to make people think it’s a stunt. And it’s not even me. The writers are incredible, really sensitive and cool, I’m so proud to work with them, and not one person in that room is driven by stunts or the idea of sweeps. Everything is always character first, be it “I killed someone” or Blair and Nate getting back together [in Season 2]. People have said that we write stunt plot lines for sweeps. I’m not even sure the CW competes in sweeps. Stephanie always says, “On Gossip Girl, every episode is a sweeps episode.” And it is.

AG: They’re never going to totally go away, but is there a way on your end to circumvent, or at least outsmart, people trying to get information?

JS: Well, now we sometimes use fake sides, just in case, because I know of cases on other shows where scripts, or sides, ended up in the recycling, they ended up there totally innocently, and inadvertently got into the hands of someone who realized it was a find. So now we’re just going to have to be creative. When Chuck kissed Blair in the finale last year, we were determined to throw people off. We had a crowd of a couple hundred people, and dozens of paparazzi, and we decided to have Nate also do the same scene — kiss Blair outside of The Plaza — to throw people off. Chace and Leighton were such good sports, Chace came in early, and we had Leighton and Ed do their take, with the hundreds of people watching, and then Chace came out, and he did the same take and everyone was like, “Whoa!”. You heard this loud collective gasp, and it was this great moment because the crowd knew they were being played, they just didn’t know which way. I had my camera and took pictures of the crowd. It was really fun to do, and even though when the pictures of both kisses hit the press, a lot of people figured “it’s got to be Chuck and Blair,” because people kind of knew, it was still a way to subvert the spoilers, and have fun.

AG: Since we talked about how you hate it when things are leaked, anything you can leak yourself before someone finds it in a trash, or taped to a streetlamp?

JS: Well, there’s something we’re putting together right now, an event we’re really excited about. It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for a while now — a musical. But a musical in only the way Gossip Girl could do it. Sometimes we have an idea like this, but then something else comes up and we put it on the back burner. Hopefully this time it’ll happen.

AG: Ok, this is a bad musical pun, but I will be singing your praises for compromising your beliefs a little and leaking this.

JS: It was either tell you, or find someone digging it out of my recycling tomorrow.

Next time, Josh tells more about what to expect this season, how Gossip Girl is like Law and Order, and reveals some secrets from the writer’s room including the very mysterious “time of death” chart on the wall.

Gossip Girl – Back-To-School Woes and Whoas for the Gossip Cast

Just when you thought Gossip Girl couldn’t get anymore glamorous, the third season is set to return with a bang. “We have our big Polo match in the first episode, we go to Sotheby’s for an auction in the third episode and in the fourth episode, we have a big movie premiere at Ziegfeld [Theater],” says the show’s executive producer Stephanie Savage.

And amidst all this glitz and glam, Gossip’s graduates are getting ready to go back-to-school and things are never too easy, are they? Spoiler alerts to come …

For Blair Waldorf, college might just be down the street from her posh Upper East Side pad, but it might as be well be across the country. “Blair is the fish out of water,” says Savage of Leighton Meester’s character. “Now that she is going to school downtown, Vanessa and Dan are really among their people. So it’s bizarre-o world for her.”

However, Blair won’t be totally alone downtown. As promised, Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) will return as her new college roommate. “She is not going to be in our first episode, but she will be in the second episode when our kid’s start college,” says Savage. And Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) will be a staple by Blair’s side throughout the season. While Chuck won’t be clocking in any school time, Savage tells PEOPLE, “This year, [Chuck] is really going to be focused on getting out from underneath his father’s shadow and starting his own entrepreneurial direction.”

Adding to Blair’s “shadows” downtown is off-again BFF Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), who will also be stirring up trouble south of Central Park. As well as locking lips with Carter Baizen (Sebastian Stan) in the first episode, Serena’ll be hooking up with designers Tory Burch and Georgina Chapman of Marchesa. Savage tells us the fashion cameos have to do with Serena’s “decision [in terms of college] and what happens to her in the first couple of episodes.”

But, a reconciliation with Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) won’t be in her future [DASH] at least not this year — Dan is busy romancing Hilary Duff’s character Olivia Burke in the Village.

Then there’s Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), learning the ropes of Queen Bee. “We really do see Jenny struggling with what she is going to do with this power that has been given to her,” says Savage. “She is back at Constance and now she is a junior — the same age as our other girls when the show started — so we have lots of story areas for Jenny that are opening up.” And one in particular that will make a comeback: Jenny’s fashion career! “As we get more into the season, that is going to be a bigger and bigger story,” says Savage. – Andrea DeSimone

Gossip Girl – Season 3 Spoilers

CHUCK & BLAIR: IT’S ON!
“Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) are definitely going to be a couple and stay a couple this season,” Gossip Girl executive producer Stephanie Savage tells PEOPLE. But don’t expect it to be all chocolates and roses: “Chuck and Blair in a relationship is going to be something very unique and something we haven’t seen before. They have definitely found ways to not be boring.” Now thatsounds interesting.

SERENA & CARTER! OMG!
In last season’s finale, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) unexpectedly took off with Carter Baizen (Sebastian Stan). So, are they now a couple? Not quite. “Something definitely happens with Carter over the summer and you will see Serena and Carter deal with the fallout over that in our first couple of episodes,” says Savage.

NATE’S NEW GIRL
The drama between Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and his powerful grandfather is sure to continue. When Nate finds a new ladylove in Bree Buckley (Joanna Garcia), a Texas girl whose Republican family counts the Vanderbilts as their political rivals, it’s game on. “It’s a bit of a Romeo and Juliet romance,” says Savage.

DAN’S A-LIST FLING
So, how does a kid from Brooklyn score the superstar new girl? “[Olivia Burke] (played by Hilary Duff) is a child actress who craves a normal college-girl existence and happens upon Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), a Brooklyn hipster and cultural snob who doesn’t know who she is,” says Savage. But don’t count on Serena being jealous. “Dan and Serena are a lot more like siblings than former flames. It is much less romantic than it has ever been.”

FAMILY REUNION?
“The Rufus-Lily-Lovechild story will definitely come [full circle] in the first part of the season,” says Savage, who won’t divulge any more details – though we suspect a reunion is in sight. And something tells us that Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr) might help it happen. “Vanessa has someone new in her life, who may or may not be related to Dan Humphrey,” hints Savage. Any guesses?

Gossip Girl – Crossover with The Beautiful Life?

Mike and Karey spilled that they’re already thinking of a way to get the casts of Gossip Girl and The Beautiful Life to join forces in a mega-New York crossover.

While nothing is set in stone for the crossover right now, Mike teased a possible storyline that he’ll be pitching to Gossip’s executive producer Stephanie Savage: “My idea—since these things happen—there are blackouts. The idea is that we have two shows that exist in the same city, and if our cast is on the subway, and their cast is on the subway, and then the subway shuts down. We don’t even have to necessarily cross them; we can simply tell two stories with them in the background and maybe have one or two characters cross through.” Karey also told us she wouldn’t mind Chuck Bass stealing some of the models, natch. Private Practice Season 3 Spoilers!

Private Practice: Violet Is Alive, but Is Her Baby?

Source: Kristin on E!Online

Spoiler Alert: Violet (Amy Brenneman) is alive! Let’s all take a moment to jump for joy now that we know she survived that makeshift surgery by the unstable patient stealing her baby.

Now onto the juicy stuff! Amy is dishing what really happened with the slicing and dicing of Violet’s belly, who comes to her rescue and who the real baby daddy is, so be warned. It can’t be all serious though; Amy has a good laugh telling the cast of Grey’s Anatomy to “calm the hell down.”

So can Pete (Tim Daly) and Violet survive this life-changing moment? Watch the video above to get the scoop from Amy, and then read on below for Tim’s opinion on the matter.

Private Practice, Tim Daly, Amy Brennemen, Chris Lowell ABC/RON TOM

Amy seems to think Pete and Violet can withstand anything, but can Pete really love a damaged Violet? Tim Daly tells us, “Violet is so f–ked up. She’s got something because a lot of people cut her a lot of slack. A lot of people love her despite all her difficulties, so I would say of course Pete could love her.”

What’s happened with Violet does spill over to the Oceanside Wellness Center. Tim teases, “There’s a lot going on. Violet is going through this trauma that she has to deal with, and that’s going to affect everyone around her. Naomi has quit. It’s all a big mess.”

What we’re really wondering about, though, is which guy is the baby daddy? Tim doesn’t help us out much there: “The baby might survive and either Pete or Sheldon might be the father. I found out who the father of the baby was yesterday. However it plays out, some poor schmuck—might be me—is going to have to act with a baby a lot.”

Did he just let slip that the baby survived the ordeal? Hit the comments to discuss!

Question: Do you have anything scoopy for Private Practice? The season finale left me clinging to my seat and cringing in pain for Amy Brenneman! Ausiello: Two things I can share: Violet lives. And twenty minutes will have lapsed between the last frame of the finale and the first frame of the premiere.

Question: I loved Addison and Noah on Private Practice. I know Josh Hopkins is on Cougar Town now, but will he return to give closure to the storyline? Ausiello: Currently, there are no plans for Hopkins to return. Amanda Detmer, however, will be back as his wife.

Do you know if Violet and Charlotte are coming back on Private Practice? Good news! KaDee Strickland has confirmed her return for the third season, but it did come down to the wire. Says KaDee, “Until I got my pickup letter, I didn’t think I was coming back like the rest of us. I think Amy [Brenneman] got hers; I’m sure she did. It should be an interesting thing to see what they do when we come back.” Source: Kristin on E!Online

What’s the deal with the Private Practice season finale?! Is Violet being killed off? MATT: What, you don’t think crazy Katie can pull off her first C-section, using just a “how to” manual? And what of Charlotte, who just got canned by Bill Buchanan? I asked Amy Brenneman about both of those possible departures, and she said, “As far as I know,” both Violet and Charlotte will return for Season 3. Brenneman even hinted that things aren’t quite over for Violet and Cooper, romantically. “That’s the eternal love, let’s be honest,” she said. “So yeah, don’t give up hope.” Source: TV Guide Online

Private Practice – Tim Daly(Pete) Interview

Source: TV Guide

In its second season, ABC’s Private Practice prescribed much growth for Pete Wilder. Originally introduced as a bad boy for Addison to lust after, Tim Daly’s alter ego has since been revealed to have a noble past as a member of Doctors Without Borders. What’s more, when a fling with Violet caught afire and resulted in pregnancy, Pete stepped up to profess his paternal leanings. TVGuide.com invited Daly to reflect on the character’s evolution, as well as wish for Wilder days ahead.

TVGuide.com: When we spoke at the start of Season 2, you had certain hopes for Pete’s trajectory. How satisfied were you with how things actually played out?
Tim Daly:
I was pretty happy. He remains rather mysterious, and he seems to be vacillating between being a lothario and someone who wants to have a more meaningful relationship. We left him making a strong play for Violet, and in a very earnest way. I’m not sure where he’s going to wind up, but… I’m still interested in him. It’s funny — I like the character a lot, and usually when I like someone I wish them smooth sailing and a calm, serene life. But as an actor I hope that Season 3 offers nothing but trouble for Pete. It’s so much more fun when you have something going through a lot of s–t.

TVGuide.com: Did you fear that a Pete-Violet hook-up would be a tough sell?
Daly:
You know, I didn’t really think of it that way. I thought that Pete and Violet were oddly good together…

TVGuide.com: Which we quickly saw. But the way they were abruptly thrown together, sometimes that can backfire on a story.
Daly
: Yeah, but I like working with Amy [Brenneman] so much, I thought we should just let it rip and see what happens. So far, it’s good. Again, relationships on television played out over a long period of time are only good when there are tons of problems, and clearly they have some coming up. I also feel there’s an inevitability to Pete and Addison at some point getting together. So many fans continue to reference that to me, so… we’ll see.

TVGuide.com: Did you in fact have an issue with the message that the Pete-Violet-Sheldon/”two possible dads” story was sending? When I spoke to your longtime friend Amy Brenneman, she dismissed it as your “ego” talking.
Daly:
Oh, no, no, no — she’s insane. [Chuckles] I do think that in a certain respect women have been struggling for so long to get men to take responsibility for the children that they father, and here we have a woman with two men saying, “I’m willing to be responsible” — and she is saying, “Ah, never mind.” I think it’s very odd, but the fact that I might disagree with it is great. I don’t need to be acting in a show where my point of view is at the forefront of a storyline. It’s almost better when I disagree. The thing that’s great about [Private Practice creator] Shonda [Rhimes] is that, whatever you think of her, she is unafraid to create controversy. She has this understanding that a lot of television executives certainly don’t, which is that when an audience disagrees passionately with a storyline, that’s not bad. That means they’re invested in it.

TVGuide.com: Speaking of which, was there any discussion or hesitation about that very last scene from the season finale? The morning after it aired, I got this sense that ABC might have had some misgivings. [Pregnant Violet had been sedated by a crazed patient intent on surgically stealing her unborn baby.]
Daly:
I don’t know what the network thought, but it stirred people up — and when entertainment does that, it’s a good thing. One of my favorite episodes we did this season was about euthanasia. Joel Grey played an old friend of mine who was dying of cancer and wanted Pete to help him die. That’s controversial stuff. We’ve done stories about abortion, and vaccination and autism…. For a television show that’s appealing to a large audience, that’s pretty cool.

Burn Notice – Casting News

Burn Notice has tapped Tony and Golden Globe-nominated actor Ben Shenkman to join the cast as the man of Michael Westen’s dreams: a dude who can make his burn notice disappear forever. Shenkman, last seen raging against Derek for killing his ailing wife on Grey’s Anatomy, will play the recurring role of Tom Strickler, a smooth-talking, gregarious freelance spy broker who offers to cancel Michael’s (Jeffrey Donovan) burn notice in exchange for an unspecified — and potentially lethal — job. Shenkman’s on board for a minimum of four episodes, the first of which will air midway through the show’s third season (debuting in June). Source: EW

STORY LINE
When Michael finds out he’s being stalked by a group of vengeful but mysterious Ukrainians, he turns to JAMES BECK, an importer of hijacked cargo with ties to Eastern Europe. Unfortunately, before the uncooperative Beck can help, Michael is kidnapped, along with Beck, by his adversaries, who turn out to be working for the Russian PYOTR CHECHIK, a ruthless Russian mobster who is not a fan of Michael’s…

[JAMES BECK] Male, 40s, African American, a hard-core, intimidating, well-dressed man, Beck is a successful truck hijacker who ships his stolen cargo to the highest bidder; as Fiona puts it, he’s “like FedEx for the caviar and Kalishnikov set.” Well-connected in Eastern Europe, Beck is more of a businessman than a thug, and he’s not happy when Michael, who’s learned that some Ukrainians are after him, tries to befriend him for some information. He’s even less happy when he’s kidnapped along with Michael by the Ukrainians, who assume he and Michael are partners. Furious at being reliant upon Michael’s survival skills as they flee their pursuers through Florida swampland, Beck would prefer to just shoot as many people as he can to get himself out of the situation, but he’s forced to concede that Michael’s plans are generally better than his own when it comes to staying alive. Ultimately wounded when one of his own schemes goes awry, Beck is kept alive by Michael’s efforts, and in the end admits to a grudging respect for him…LARGE GUEST STAR (7)

[PYOTR CHECHIK] Male, Russian, 35-55 years old, MUST SPEAK WITH AN AUTHENTIC RUSSIAN ACCENT. A man who seems to enjoy the hunt, Chechik follows Michael and Beck through a Florida swamp, where he taunts Michael over a two-way radio, explaining to him how his business has changed from provincial to international, providing him a “Ukrainian team, Hungarian weapons, Russian funding.” A crafty and tenacious enemy, Chechik ultimately proves no match for Michael.sptv050769..GUEST STAR (31)

He’s like a talent agent, but for spies. A born salesman, Strickler is charismatic and gregarious, but underneath the charm is an edge that can turn deadly under the wrong circumstances. He offers to cancel Michael’s burn notice in exchange for an unspecified job — a blind date that could easily get Michael killed. He waits and watches while Michael wriggles and twists — but ultimately Michael decides that he has no choice but to accept a deal with the devil…GUEST STAR, RECURRING ROLE. MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR A 4-EPISODE ARC FROM 4/29-6/10. LOOKING FOR NAME ACTORS ONLY.

[APRIL LUNA] Female, Caucasian, in her 30s, April is a pretty young mom with two children, 13 year old Joey and 3 year old Danny. Unhappily married to a local politician with mobster connections, Erik Luna, she’s in the middle of a messy divorce from her husband, who regards “spouse” as a synonym for “punching bag.” Facing a bitter custody dispute, she fears that Erik will use his cash and connections to take her children away — and when Michael agrees to take her case, she sees the first glimmer of hope..GUEST STAR (10)

[JOEY] Male, Caucasian, 12-14 years old, he’s the son of April Luna and the stepson of Erik Luna. Caught by Michael while in the act of trying to boost a weapon from Fiona’s apartment, he spills his story, and cannot believe it when Michael agrees to clean up his family dispute without using an attorney or a shotgun. But Joey is an impatient kid without trust or foresight, who tries a second time to eliminate Erik the direct way…GUEST STAR (6)

[ERIK LUNA] Male, Caucasian, in his 30s, handsome and arrogant, Erik is a rich, well-connected local politician with mobster connections; he’s on every political board, he’s a big deal down at the docks, and he owns a piece of the local country club. He’s the face of the operation, with his brother Quinn providing muscle and guns to back him up. He’s certain that he can put over any crooked deal he dreams up. A little too cocky, he’s in the middle of a custody battle with his wife April, and he intends to leave her with no kids and no money, but with maybe a pair of black eyes to remember him by. Having been foolish enough to sell some very pricey (and confiscated) luxury cars without his brother’s okay, Erik has left himself open to attack from outside, and Michael mercilessly exploits that advantage, convincing Erik that he cheated on an unstable psychopath who’s out to kill him. Quickly reduced to a state of babbling paranoia, Erik winds up locked in a nuthatch by his brother Quinn, who can’t afford to have a madman as his front.sptv050769..LARGE GUEST STAR (13)

A professional smuggler who ordered his brother to marry April so that he would look respectable, Quinn has to take serious action when he’s convinced (by Michael) that Erik has lost his marbles…GUEST STAR (13)

Burn Notice‘s Gabrielle Anwar Ponders a Combustible Coupling

Source: TV Guide Online

Gabrielle Anwar

Burn Notice (Thursdays at 9 pm/ET) is on fire, both figuratively and literally (usually thanks to Fiona’s pyrotechnic work). After opening its third season with a cool 6 million viewers, the USA Network action-drama has been spying impressive demos. But will things ever combust between Michael and his onetime lady love? Gabrielle Anwar offered TVGuide.com a peek at what’s to come.

TVGuide.com: That was some nifty knife-throwing Fiona demonstrated in last week’s episode.
Gabrielle Anwar:
[Laughs] Thank you. I fooled ya, huh? Yeah, that wasn’t me. I did learn how to throw that thing, but I confess that they wouldn’t let me do it if there was another human being within a mile radius.

TVGuide.com: So then what fun skills have you learned on the show? Is there anything you could pull off in a pinch? Maybe wire some C-4?
Anwar:
I could probably blow something up. But I think our props master, who is quite the genius, is reluctant to give me every ingredient in the recipe, just in case I ever have a pissy moment.

TVGuide.com: Jeffrey Donovan in real life boasts some mad martial-arts skills (including a black belt in karate and six years of aikido training). Does he ever show you moves?
Anwar:
When we do have a fight sequence, he shows me what to do because I have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen if I, you know, flick my elbow this way or thrust my knee that way. He’s been quite instrumental in my not hurting anyone!

TVGuide.com: Fiona this season seems somewhat intent on making inroads on a relationship with Michael. Is that an accurate take?
Anwar:
I suppose so, yeah. She’s a girl who knows what she wants and doesn’t like to be crossed. She’s definitely setting out to get inside his head.

TVGuide.com: In the season premiere, her “I’m glad you are alive” was terse yet seemed laden with emotion.
Anwar:
Yeah, I don’t think that her verbal articulation is quite as seasoned as her physical expressions. She’s not one for mincing words.

TVGuide.com: Will the Michael-Fiona fans ever get more than a forehead kiss?
Anwar:
I hope so! We haven’t shot anything like that yet this season. But we do have some steamy moments.

TVGuide.com: Do you think there is a way to put them together and still keep things exciting?
Anwar:
I don’t know…. It depends on what your definition of “put them together” is. I know that in my own personal life, once something is taken for granted, no matter what it is, it loses that element of enigmatic passion. It’s the nature of the beast. I can’t imagine that Fiona would ever settle for a mundane lifestyle. I doubt that “Fiona settles down” would ever be in one of the episode outlines.

TVGuide.com: Moon Bloodgood’s new character, Det. Paxson, was billed on-screen as “Michael’s worst nightmare.” Might she prove to be a thorn in Fi’s side as well?
Anwar:
Perhaps, and possibly as more than an obvious physical [rival]. I think it’s more another element that’s going to keep Michael preoccupied, and away from me. I think that if Fiona was bothered by every absolutely drop-dead, stunning, gorgeous chick that came along, she may as well just head out of Miami.

TVGuide.com: There have been some recent headlines about Burn Notice‘s production having troubles down in Miami. What’s that all about?
Anwar:
Yeah. There’s some sort of political rumblings about the property that we use for our production offices and sound stage. There’s a possibility that it might be torn down. I’m not sure where it’s going.

TVGuide.com: Do you think the show would ever relocate and change its setting?
Anwar:
For what the show is right now, I can’t imagine it being anywhere else. It’s a key feature. I’ve heard Jeffrey say in interviews that Miami is a character unto itself, and I couldn’t agree more.

TVGuide.com: Plus, any place less warm wouldn’t allow Fiona to wear so little.
Anwar:
[Laughs] That is a very good point!

We’ll also learn how crucial Sarah is to whether Chuck makes a good spy. Carina, Sarah’s old partner from season one, will be back. And Jeffster will perform again in a very special episode. (TV Guide)

In the second episode of the new season, Sarah’s spy buddy Carina returns. (Michael Ausiello) Carina returns in episode 3×02 and it’s awesome. Also in that episode, Casey gets to go undercover as someone other than a waiter, with amusing results. Episode 3×03 is a combined Devon/Casey episode, which gives insights into both their pasts. And we meet Shaw in episode 3×04. Also, Kreuk’s introduction is “more organic” than fans may have feared. (ChuckTV)

The third episode of the new season is a big episode for Ryan McPartlin’s Awesome. (Michael Ausiello)

Jeff and Lester are both back in action, both as individuals and in musician form. Show runner Josh Schwartz says: “The Buy More has a fight club storyline where Lester really goes bananas. And obviously, you can expect and look forward to the return of Jeffster.” In fact, probably more Lester than you’d ever want to know. “I promise this, we will see Lester’s bedroom,” says Josh. And Chris Fedak gives us the dirty deets: “You will see what Lester sleeps in, his pj’s—and it involves feet.” (Watch With Kristin)

There’s something going on beneath the Home Theater Room at the Buy More. (a new secret passage from inside there) Also, Chuck and Kristen Kreuk will be spotted making out like teenagers. Kristen’s character is not what she seems, so like Jill before her, she cannot be long for Chuck’s world. (Watch With Kristin)

Casey is going to have a lot to deal with this season — a secret from his past is going to come to light, and it’ll make his life complicated. Also, he’ll get more responsibilities at the Buy More, and will start to discover that Buy More may actually be his future. Meanwhile, Lester has a “Fight Club” episode where he goes nuts. And we’ll get to see Lester’s bedroom and his pajamas. (ChuckTV)

Captain Awesome won’t be the only person clued in to Chuck Bartowski’s secret identity this season. “Some people might find out,” Yvonne Strahovski says. “Somebody finds out from the family. Dramatic pause. Somebody else finds out. That’s all I can say.” (TV Guide)

According to show runner Chris Fedak, “Ellie and Awesome moved out. They found an apartment across the way, and Chuck and Morgan are getting their bachelor pad.” (Watch With Kristin)

Yvonne Strahovski says that Sarah’s role will change significantly this season. She’ll go from being Chuck’s caretaker to something akin to his boss as he gears up to be a real spy guy. Chuck’s training will bring to light new information about Sarah’s start in the biz, including her real name. (TV Guide)

In the seventh episode, Chuck and Hannah (KristenKreuk) share not only a kiss, but they then go on to treat the Buy More’s Home Theater Room like a no-tell motel. Meanwhile, Shaw (Brandon Routh) and Sarah have one of those, “Oh my god we’re gonna die, so I may as well tell you I love you” moments. Kristin’s character Hannah is not what she seems, and I don’t think she’s long for Chuck’s world. (Watch With Kristin)

In episode 10, Casey does something bad. REALLY bad. Could-cost-him-his-job bad. (Michael Ausiello)

Kristin Kreuk is joining Chuck for multiple episodes as Hannah, a girl Chuck meets on a flight to Paris. Chuck and Hannah definitely have feelings for each other. Laid off from her glamorous publishing job, Hannah ends up working at the Buy More. (Michael Ausiello)

Chuck won’t be the only Buy More employee crushing on the new girl [ Kristin Kreuk]. Morgan will develop semi-serious feelings for her, too. (Michael Ausiello)

When the new season picks up, it’s right after the end of the previous season, so Chuck is still new to his abilities. And Morgan is in Hawaii working on becoming a hibachi chef, so the Buy More is firmly in the grip of Emmett, and things aren’t going that well without Morgan and Chuck. (SciFi Wire)

NBC has confirmed that Jeffster will perform on the show next season. (Watch With Kristin)

There are no plans to reveal Sarah’s real name. (Watch With Kristin)

The show is casting the role of a dashing and suave dictator of a small, fictitious nation called Parador. (Michael Ausiello)

Chuck star Ryan McPartlin (Devon “Awesome” Woodcomb) says: “I don’t know if I’ll be made a spy, but I’m getting involved in the spy world. Chuck’s going to [be] in a pinch and call on me to help him out.” Makes sense, but we have an important question: Will this mean more or less clothes? “I don’t have to just be shirtless for no reason, but I’m sure my shirt will come off for random acts of God.” Whoo! As McPartlin says, “I feel like it’s amazing because it’s like the first season, when Chuck got to carry the weight of the secret. I get to bring that [spirit of the] first season back again, through Awesome’s eyes. And I’m just gonna lean on [Sarah and Chuck] for advice on how to do that.” (Watch With Kristin)

There’s a chance that Bryce Larkin isn’t really dead and that he could return to shake things up a little. Matthew Bomer says, “I’d love to go back, but it’s really going to depend on scheduling [with White Collar]. There is a possibility that I will be back on Chuck.” (Watch With Kristin)

The Classic ‘Chuck’ Poster at San Diego Comic Con

See larger image” has generated buzz even before its panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con panel is held. The series about nerd spy has released a poster to be unveiled at the convention Saturday, July 25. It pays homage to the ’70s movies with the hand-drawn arts displaying the key characters and the Nerd Herd car smashing through glass. The panel for “Chuck” will be conducted in the coveted room, Ballroom 20, starting 10 A.M. Guests expected to come are the two lead actors, and as well as creator Josh Schwartz. They are expected to explain about the webseries plan which Schwartz spilled previously.

“Chuck”, which almost got canceled by NBC, is reserved for 13 episodes in 2010 midseason. Production according to star however, will start as early as this August. “We will be ready to come back whenever we’re asked to come back,” Sahay said in an interview with TVGuide. “And that’s good to know.”

See larger image In the same tone to Chris Fedak’s statement that “” may be released earlier than scheduled, Lester’s depicter confirmed that despite being put in midseason 2010, the cast and the crew will be back working as early as this August. “We will be ready to come back whenever we’re asked to come back,” Sahay said in an interview with TVGuide. “And that’s good to know.” Not only that, Sahay also shared another good news when he said that the order NBC put may extend beyond 13 episodes if the third season continually shows a strong rating. “That’s the hope,” Sahay crossed his finger. “(NBC boss Ben Silverman) said he’ll push us into the summer with a back nine (order), so we’re planning on making the shows that good.” In the mean time, “Chuck” is still scheduled to enter every Mondays at 8/7c in March 2010 after the Winter Olympics. Fedak revealed a plan to do a webseries to keep fans craving for the geeky action. At the end of the second season, Chuck accidentally downloaded a new skill into his brain. “I know kung fu,” he said. About how it would translate on the third season, Sahay shared what he knows, saying “…(Chuck’s new ability) is going to make things hilarious… and wild.”

Chuck deserves a whole season, not just 13 episodes. Any chance of more? MATT: Actually, yes. NBC entertainment president Ben Silverman says that while the current plan is to deliver 13 midseason episodes, depending on the ratings, “we may extend it out and continue it through the summer,” where he thinks it could pair nicely with Friday Night Lights. “We’re looking to … keep [Chuck] incredibly viral and buzz-worthy until it returns, and then hopefully have it on our air for many years to come.” That’d be Awesome. And even more so? I chatted up Scott Bakula at TNT’s upfronts luncheon, and he’s game for more Chuck, if need be. Source: TV Guide Online

Exclusive ‘Chuck’ boss on who’s in, who’s out, and what’s next!

Source: The Ausiello Files

Checkjoshschwartz_l Will a tighter budget lead to a less awesome (and populated) show? Does the massive Subway deal mean an end to Sarah’s yogurt shop? Will the midseason launch kill the show’s momentum? Will Chuck and Sarah start dating for real? Will exec producer Josh Schwartz answer all of these and then some in the following exclusive Q&A? I can tackle that last one: Yes!

NBC said the show’s budget will remain unchanged from last season. I’m hearing different. What’s the deal?
JOSH SCHWARTZ:
I can tell you that [Warner Bros.] asked us to make budget cuts to meet a decrease in the NBC license fee. That’s how it was presented to me. That’s as far as I know. My job is to then be able to produce the show at the number the studio is able to deficit it for.

How will the cuts affect what we see?
SCHWARTZ:
Hopefully, you won’t be able to tell. I don’t think the look of the show is going to change. We might have certain episodes where Chuck’s mission is such that we don’t get the opportunity to go to the Buy More [as much]. We love our cast and, obviously, we want to use them as much as possible in as many episodes as possible.

I heard Julia Ling [Anna] might not return. True?
SCHWARTZ:
No. We have plans for Anna to return.

Has she been taken off contract?
SCHWARTZ:
We actually haven’t finalized all of our actor deals yet. It’s all being sorted out. But, like I said, we’re going to do whatever we can to try to keep the ensemble together.

Will the show’s central trio be in every episodes?
SCHWARTZ:
Yes. Chuck, Sarah, and Casey are in all episodes.

Will Sarah be working at a Subway next season?
SCHWARTZ:
[Laughs] You know, I don’t know the full details of the Subway integration yet. I know it will be significant. Chuck is a show that happens to be well positioned for effortless product integration, especially because Chuck works at an electronics shop in a strip mall. If Sarah or someone worked at a Subway it would hopefully be no more intrusive or unrealistic than Liz Lemon working at NBC.

Are you concerned at all about the show being off the air for 10 months?
SCHWARTZ:
It was really a tough choice that the network faced: Put us on Friday or [hold us until] midseason. I really believe Chuck is the little show that could. Our fans are clearly passionate, clearly loyal, and hopefully all we’ll do is get them more and more [excited] for our return. And we’ll come up with fun ways of stoking the fans throughout the fall. We also have something very, very fun planned for Comic-Con this year.

How about a season 3 spoiler in honor of the show’s renewal?
SCHWARTZ:
The biggest thing, obviously, will be dealing with the ramifications of how we ended the season. What does it mean for Chuck [and] how will it manifest itself? And I think for anyone who is concerned that he’s no longer going to be the Everyman, or an accidental hero, fear not.

Will Chuck and Sarah start the season off as a full-fledged couple?
SCHWARTZ:
I don’t want to give anything away, but obviously, Chuck having the Intersect in his head will severely complicate their ability to be a couple. Chuck having the Intersect in his head will severely complicate their ability to be a couple … [And] look for a potential new love interest on the show.

Really? For who?
SCHWARTZ: Someone who could triangulate between a couple of characters.

Male or female?
SCHWARTZ:
Gosh, isn’t it more fun to tease?

I guess.
SCHWARTZ:
Teasing is what you’re good at.

The CW has made a special featurette for one of the qualities that “” is proud of, the wardrobe. Costume designer Eric Daman takes viewers inside the closet of the show’s fashion department, showing off some collections which Serena, Blair and Chuck will be wearing in the third season. Daman’s concept for Serena is those attires which crave for attention because Serena is having an identity crisis. If in season 2 she resembled ‘ sense of fashion where everything is sleek and simple, she will go back to the old ‘party girl Serena’ style. This includes a bejeweled vest and blazer splashed with lots of colors.

As for Blair, Daman wants to present a more mature look for her. This includes a revolution in the signature headband which goes from school-girl headband to cream-colored python headband. Clothes-wise, Blair is going sleeker and minimal because she is now a student of NYU who wants to be the new reigning queen. Blair in fact has a connection with boyfriend Chuck’s style, which is brooch. Like Blair who pays attention to details, Chuck is also a rather suave man who won’t hesitate wearing a red rose brooch on his suit. Daman, who said that Chuck is his favorite character to dress, changes the style from urban dandy to ‘ Gordon Gecko from “Wall Street”. This means Chuck will wear gold cufflings, suspenders and such.

The third season of “Gossip Girl” premieres on September 14.

The third clip sees Chuck strolling with Nate to exchange information about what they had been up to lately. Chuck tells Nate that he wants to get out of his father’s shadow by moving out of the hotel while Nate is getting an advice from Chuck about “sleeping with the enemy”.

Neal Bledsoe on Kissing Ed Westwick for ‘Gossip Girl’

The guest star said that Westwick kisses just like Chuck Bass and that it was not awkward at all because they rehearsed it.

Neal Bledsoe on Kissing Ed Westwick for 'Gossip Girl'Source: Ace Showbiz TV News
See larger image The guy who will be kissing on “” is a mystery no more. Neal Bledsoe has opened up to Entertainment Weekly what prompted him to take the role and how the kiss happened. The actor who was relatively unknown, said it was a “nice kiss” and that it would be foolish if he hadn’t taken the role just because he has to kiss a guy. As previously reported, Westwick’s Chuck Bass is doing Blair a favor by seducing the gay NYU alumni who has the power to select a freshman to give the important speech. Turns out the kiss is not going as simple as it should be. “I will tell you this: I have a very unexpected and darker motivation about it,” Bledsoe told EW. How exactly the kiss shooting went on, Bledsoe admitted it was not awkward at all because they were both “professionals about it” and have rehearsed it. He confessed though that the scene took several takes to be perfect.

“Gossip Girl” returns on September 14 but the kiss will not be featured until the October 19 episode.

‘Gossip Girl’ exclusive: Chuck Bass goes gay?!

Back-To-School Woes and Whoas for the Gossip Cast

And Chuck Bass (Ed
Westwick
) will be a staple by Blair’s side throughout the season. While Chuck won’t be clocking in any school time, Savage tells PEOPLE, “This year, [Chuck] is really going to be focused on getting out from underneath his
father’s shadow and starting his own entrepreneurial direction.”

“We really do see Jenny struggling with what she is going to do with this power that has been given to her,” says
Savage. “She is back at Constance and now she is a junior — the same age as our other girls when the show started — so we have lots of story areas for Jenny that are opening up.” And one in particular that will make a
comeback: Jenny’s fashion career! “As we get more into the season, that is going to be a bigger and bigger story,” says Savage. – Andrea DeSimone

Gossip Girl – Stars Talk New Season’s Twists and Turns

The third season of Gossip Girl, which began filming last month in New York, will include even more twists than the previous two, says Jessica Szohr, who plays Vanessa on the CW show. “It’s like a new chapter in everyone’s life,” Szohr, 24, told PEOPLE Wednesday at a Charlotte Russe fashion event in New York. “We’re all off to college, we’re working. There’s a lot of guest stars coming on, new relationships are formed.” In addition to Hilary Duff, former Privileged actress Joanna Garcia will play a new love interest for heartthrob Chace Crawford. Garcia plays a Texas socialite who rivals Crawford’s Nate Archibald in wealth and status — and she just might be off-limits. “We have sort of a Romeo and Juliet love story,” Garcia tells PEOPLE.

While romances bloom on set during the new season, the off-screen romances between stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley and Szohr and Ed Westwick make the cast a tight-knit bunch. But Garcia said the close group has welcomed her with open arms. “I was really nervous coming in,” says Garcia, who is currently slated to appear in four episodes. “[But] they’ve been so warm and welcoming and lovely. It’s been so nice. They’ve been making me feel like New York isn’t such a big city.” Things won’t bet getting so warm and fuzzy on screen, however, as Szohr says there are plenty of surprises in store. “Someone ends up not being who they say they are,” she reveals. “It’s just lots of drama and crazy stuff.”

Also crazy: Gossip Girl’s fans, who clamor to catch a glimpse of the hot young cast while their shooting on location in the Big Apple. “It’s been nuts. I don’t know what’s happened over our break,” Szorh says. “Coming back, none of us have ever seen it like how it’s been. But it’s a good thing. We’re blessed to be working on a fun cool show with cool people in New York.” – Kelsey Witten Tell us: Are you excited for the new season? Sorry, Hilary Duff haters, but Duff joins the Gossip Girl cast as movie star Olivia, and she’ll be getting her movie-star cooties on the entire cast, not just Vanessa and Dan. Also on Gossip Girl this season, Chuck and Blair are totally getting married and having a million babies. (OK, not that, but they are staying tight. Yay!) And believe it or not, the show really is trending away from “Dan and Serena are the one true pairing of Gossip Girl.” Certainly, that arc might turn back sometime in the future, but for now the show is trying to establish their separate identities, apart from their on-again, off-again shenanigans. Will Michelle Trachtenberg bail on ‘Gossip Girl’ now that Maura Tierney’s illness has pushed ‘Mercy’ from midseason to fall?

Source: Zap2It’s Korbi TV

Due to an undisclosed medical issue for star Maura Tierney, NBC’s new drama “Parenthood” has been pushed to midseason and Michelle Trachtenberg‘s new series “Mercy” will be bumped up to launch in September instead of January. The cast and crew of the medical show have been asked to start work much earlier than expected in order to make a fall debut. But what does this mean for Trachtenberg’s upcoming stint on “Gossip Girl“? Will she still be able to appear as Blair’s roommate in the three-episode arc we were promised? According to sources close to the series, there should not be a conflict, as Trachtenberg’s “Mercy” contract included a clause allowing her time off to shoot “GG.” Sorry, Ms. Waldorf.

Hilary Duff Joins Gossip Girl

Update From E!Online Inside sources tell us exclusively that Duff’s character Olivia is a movie star who just wants to live a simple peasant girl’s life at college and date a simple unfamous guy. Lucky for her then that Dan doesn’t know who she is and that he wants to hook up with her. Yep, not only are Dan and Serena all permanently broken up, but Dan is stepping out on Serena with this new girl Olivia. E!Online

Is the Upper East Side big enough for Serena, Blair and the Duffster?! We’re about to find out because the onetime tween sensation is joining Gossip Girl for a multi-episode arc, sources confirm exclusively. The actress-designer-pop chanteuse will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience. She ends up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) so it’s safe to say she’ll be majoring in Drama! Duff will debut in this season’s fourth episode, slated to air Oct. 5. Gossip producers spotted an opening in Duff’s schedule after NBC passed on her comedy pilot Barely Legal. What say you, Gossip gurus? Do you approve of Duff’s casting? Thoughts on who she’ll be paired with romantically? (My guess: Dan.) Sound off below! Source: EW

‘Gossip Girl’ scoop: Joanna Garcia is Nate’s new GF!

Source: The Ausiello Files

And you thought Nate Archibald was privileged before. Sources confirm that Joanna Garcia, star of The CW’s axed-too-soon Privileged, has booked a four-episode arc on Gossip Girl as a love interest for Chace Crawford’s affluent alter ego. Garcia will play Bree Buckley, an irreverent, slightly evil Miss America-type who hails from a conservative Southern family. She’ll first appear in the Sept. 14 season premiere. Props to The CW for knowing a good thing when they see it!

Can we assume that Gossip Girl‘s Serena won’t be attending Brown now that she’s off chasing Daddy Dearest? MICKEY: Here’s what Blake Lively told us about Serena’s plans in the wake of being slapped with that paternal jaw-dropper. “She’s thrown for this huge loop,” she says. “There are a lot of things she’s going to find out about her mother and about her background.” In other words, Serena will not be heading to Providence in the fall… but she might not be in New York either. Gossip Girl – Bookcovers Promotional Photos

My contact at CW has sent these through. All they said were that they were new Promotional Photos for something called Bookcovers. I’ve no idea what this may be but I thought I’d share them with you all here anyway. If you have any info on what these maybe please let me know.

Serena will be motherless for the first batch of episodes due to Kelly Rutherford’s maternity leave. Blair catches Chuck connecting with a model in the September 14 premiere, but all is not as it appears. (Michael Ausiello)

Will Family Ties Tear Dan and Serena Apart on Gossip Girl?

Blake Lively, Chris Riggi, Penn Badgley The CW

Brace yourselves, Gossip Girl fans, because one of the series’ key couples may not be getting back together! Yep, we’re hearing not-so-encouraging things about the future of Dan and Serena, and we’ll tell you what new paradigm they are living under next season.

Any news on Gossip Girl yet? What about Dan and Serena for season three? It’s too early to say for sure, but our sources tell us that next year on Gossip Girl does not look like the Year of “Dan Serena Dan Serena whoo!” At this point it looks like you can expect more of a brother-sister vibe from Dan and Serena (remember, they do share a half-sibling, Chris Riggi‘s Scott), rather than a whole epic love story thing, à la Chuck and Blair. Is Georgina going to be Blair’s roommate next season on Gossip Girl? While we know Michelle Trachtenberg is tied to NBC’s new medical drama, Mercy, she will be causing some trouble for Blair. Leighton Meester tells us, “Blair is going to NYU, so she might have some trouble there on her own regardless, but maybe Georgina will be coming in to stir some stuff up. I really like working with her, so it’s good.” Source: Kristin on E!Online

Georgina’s plan to weasel her way into Blair’s life will be successful, as Blair will be living – gasp! – in an NYU dorm, with the little people! Including possibly both G. and V.! Source: TV Guide Online

Gossip Girl – Exclusive Casting Call for new Character

[BREE BUCKLEY]

Recurring. Fun sexy blonde, irreverent, evil Miss America type, politically progressive but hails from a conservative Southern family. Has an affair with one of our gang. Four-episode arc. Source: SpoilerTV

“Chuck and Blair are finally together, but yet Georgina is back to screw up her life with that major vendetta,” [Blake] Lively tells us. […] Penn Badgley tells us that Dan Humphrey’s half brother, Scott might be up to no good with his sneaking around New York: “He’s gotta skulk…He’s a Humphrey.” […] Last but not least, in addition to more Georgina and Rufus-Lily spawn in season three, there is one indisputably awesome character we can promise will be getting plenty of screen time: Countess Dorota. […] You might be wondering if Georgina and Carter Baizen are joining the cast as regulars next season. While it certainly looks that way in the finale, sources tell us they aren’t signed to full-time gigs for next year, and of course, Michelle T.’s first obligation is to her new NBC series, Mercy. We caught up with her at the NBC “Infront” luncheon in L.A., and she told us exclusively: “It’s definitely a cliffhanger, and obviously very exciting, and obviously, one can assume from that dialogue being spoken that there are many more crazy things to come for Georgina.” Source: Kristin on E!Online

Producers thought ahead and made sure [Michelle] Trachtenberg negotiated a three-episode Gossip Girl “out” in her Mercy contract. You didn’t really think the Georgina-Blair roommate thing would last longer than that, did you? Source: The Ausiello Files

Gossip’s Girls Talk About Chuck and Blair’s Future… With Georgina?

On the fitting green carpet at the CW upfront this morning, Leighton Meester couldn’t wait to share her thoughts on the future of Chuck and Blair, and Blake Lively weighed in on Georgina’s return.

When last we saw them, Chuck was showering Blair with her favorite treats and, more importantly, finally saying those three little words. But alas, can Bluck really work in the real world?

“Chuck and Blair holding hands, Chuck and Blair going to the movies—isn’t that what he says would be unrealistic?” Meester tells us. “I feel like a tumultuous relationship is a-brewin’, but that’s what drama is.”

The actress herself, who recently went blonde for a movie but promised to go back to brunette ASAP, says she isn’t sure what she hopes will come for the couple.

“I want us to see them together, but at the same time, the reason why they’re so good is why they can’t be together,” she says.

Unfortunately, both Blake and Leighton agree that Georgina’s return could cast a long shadow over Chuck and Blair’s future.

“Chuck and Blair are finally together, but yet Georgina is back to screw up her life with that major vendetta,” Lively tells us.

Despite the cliffhanger, whether or not Michelle Trachtenberg will be back on the show remains in question. The former Buffy actress is starring in Mercy, a nursing drama that NBC recently picked up.

Another big challenge ahead for our favorite Upper East Siders may be higher education.

“A few other people are going to college,” Meester says. “I don’t know if they’re going to stay.”

Speaking of college, Penn Badgley tells us that Dan Humphrey’s half brother, Scott (Chris Riggi) might be up to no good with his sneaking around New York: “He’s gotta skulk…He’s a Humphrey.”

And speaking of Humphreys, could Dan be coming around to the idea of Nate (Chace Crawford) getting with Little J (Taylor Momsen)? According to Penn, “He should. Nate’s a solid dude.”

So, is Dan done thinking that Jenny’s too young for Nate? “Probably not,” says Penn. “But I personally think that Dan should relax. Dan is too uptight.”

Last but not least, in addition to more Georgina and Rufus-Lily spawn in season three, there is one indisputably awesome character we can promise will be getting plenty of screen time: Countess Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski).

“I think she’s going to be around a lot more next season,” says Leighton.

Gossip Girl – Latest from Ausiello

Questions: I just finished watching the Gossip Girl finale, and it was awesome. My question for you is about Georgina: At the end of the episode she announced she was going to be Blair’s roommate at NYU — strongly implying that she would be a presence, if not a regular character, in season 3. But Michelle Trachtenberg is in NBC’s new fall drama, Mercy. What does this mean about Georgina and Gossip Girl? Ausiello: It means producers thought ahead and made sure Trachtenberg negotiated a three-episode Gossip Girl “out” in her Mercy contract. You didn’t really think the Georgina-Blair roommate thing would last longer than that, did you? Source: EW

New Ugly Betty Videos, Interviews, Spoilers!

From KorbiTV at Zap2it.com

You haven’t seen the last of Henry and Gio, but both Chris Gorham and Freddy Rodriguez passed on making the Ugly Betty move to New York and that will definitely influence Betty’s response to Henry’s marriage proposal and Gio’s joint travel plans. The good news for those who are pissed to see her love interests go? The new guy, Jesse (played by Val Emmich, the kid who made Liz Lemon a legit cougar last season), is unhateable. He’s a struggling musician that lives across the hall from B — she’s getting her own apartment in the city! — and you might just forget all about the old flames at the first site of his cute face.

Eddiecibrian

Eddie Cibrianwho plays Coach Diaz, Hilda’s guy that’s married, is sticking around.

Lindsay Lohan actually has several scenes with Betty’s pop, Ignacio, but she doesn’t seem to be familiar with the whole “respect your elders” concept.

Except for the birth of her Meade baby — whom Christina is still carrying — Wilhelmina’s Mode takeover is pretty much complete. In fact, she’s already given Mode quite the makeover and Daniel’s moved on to a new job… which of course means that Betty will too…

Betty may have two suitors beating down her door, but the older Suarez sis can’t seem catch a break. In Ugly Betty’s season finale, we last saw Ana Ortiz’s Hilda with her new man Tony lip-locked on the playground, but Ortiz revealed a future with the sexy gym coach come Season 3 may not pan out. “Eddie Cibrian [Tony] has been on for the first four episodes,” says Ortiz. “But you know, Hilda can’t ever find love, so there’s going to be something tragic as always.” Though Hilda’s love life may be in the toilet, Ortiz assures viewers there are good things to come for her full-of-life character. “She’s opening her salon, so she’s got her little business. And I think they might even bring her over to MODE for a little bit.” Fingers crossed Hilda (and her unique taste) signs on as a stylist! read more
