America’s Next Top Model Finale Recap: Krista Wins!

‘America’s Next Top Model’ finale recap: Easy, breezy, ‘ugly pretty’

Source: EW

top-model

Do I have Stockholm Syndrome, or were these last two episodes kind of good? Sure, it lacked the intensity and lunacy that are supposed to be Top Model‘s calling card, but by the time we got to the runway show, I was legitimately wondering who was going to win. But first, we slogged through the outrageous concept of “ugly pretty.” Or as the sane world calls it, “nonsense.”

Krista was flying high after notching yet another win, so naturally Alexandra was feeling especially grumpy. I tried to like Alexandra all season, but it turns out her major contribution to my life will always be her epic wipeout, and no matter how she tries to zing Raina for “acting like a 12-year-old,” all I can hear is myself laughing at her for falling off the runway. Sorry, toots. Your Katherine Heigl-meets-Ali Larter looks just aren’t enough to endear you to any of us.

André swung by Chez Modelhaus: NZ to bring the girls all flowers (um, awww) and answer their obviously coached questions. I’m not going to bodysnark on the guy, but: If you’re large and in charge, and you wear some seriously flowy robes all the time, and you insist on lounging sideways, you run the risk of looking more than a little like Jabba the Hutt. It’s just a warning. He told everyone about being Andy Warhol’s intern and filled their heads with visions of sugar plums and international success. Just kidding, it was visions of having dinner with Karl Lagerfeld. The idea of Angelea and Karl chilling out back and relaxing all cool is both incredibly disturbing and somehow a perfect buddy comedy. Sheeee’s an awkward fish-out-of water who calls everyone a “bitch”. Heeee’s an eccentric fashion genius who speaks only in murmurs. They are both very thin! Coming to NBC!

Anyway. Also, if you haven’t seen The September Issue, allow this moment of André to be your nudge. He comes across as sort of silly, yes, but also kind of brilliant in his own affected, contrived way. It’s kind of charming.

The ladies boarded a flight to Queenstown only to discover that both Mr. and Ms. Jay were there to taunt them. Er, host a challenge. Everyone had to do a fun, personality-filled runway walk down the aisle of the plane! Is this worse than a crying baby on board? How about worse than a B.O.-emitting seatmate? I really hope this was a Top Model only flight, otherwise…sad trombone on the rest of those passengers. When I want emaciated lunatics waltzing up and down the aisle and stealing my sunglasses, I take Greyhound.

Alexandra was deemed overly flouncy, while Raina was too wooden, and Angelea didn’t seem to take it seriously. To the shock of no one, Krista won yet another challenge.

Let’s take a moment here to high five the New Zealand tourism bureau, because boy howdy was the landscape footage gorgeous. I’m not sure what I would do there necessarily — the number of people attempting to slather me in black lipstick and tie me up in a corset is pathetically low — but I want to go and run around and sigh and stuff. That’s what vacations are for, right? Sighing?

The theme to the shoot: “Ugly Pretty.” And also “bye bye, two of you.” Yes, it was double-elimination time, which sent the ladies positively reeling. What sent me reeling was how crazypants everyone looked. Black lipstick is tough, weird-ass Helena Bonham Carter hair is tough, corsets are tough, and 1776 costume castoffs as seen through a cloud of Peyote smoke, well, that’s tough too.

In any case, Krista did a good job, Alexandra looked sort of like Lauren Ambrose on crack, Raina pronounced “corset” strangely, and Angelea couldn’t follow Jay’s directions. It was pretty much business as usual, considering the business is doing ridiculous things and pretending it’s not absurd.

“I’m not here to have Angelea hang out with me,” Mr. Jay insisted. He was thisclose to uttering the reality catchphrase of the century, “I’m not here to make friends.” Oh well. That probably would have destabilized the entire universe if a non-contestant had said it.

Back at the house, Krista had like 19 different little jewelry boxes to open, and some of the other modeltestants noted that a few of the items were the same. It seemed like the nice thing to do would have been to share a little — how many weird silver feather necklaces does one person need? — but whatever, she won them fair and square.

Judging time! Everyone was all dressed up… except for Alexandra, who was wearing gold-buttoned sailor-front shorts. My eyes! Those shorts were not doing her any favors, but given André’s robes and Tyra’s jumpsuits this season, she hasn’t had a lot to learn from. It’s like in Nell, how the isolated twins learned to speak a weird distorted language with each other. This whole show is like Nell language, but with terrible clothes. Tay ina wiiin!

Raina’s photo was fantastic, but she was sporting some intense side eyes, and she was scolded for being too pretty. (Not a thing. This dish is too delicious, please send it back to the kitchen.) Angelea’s photo was out of focus. Like, completely and totally out of focus, so the close-up of her face was blurry and strange. Luckily, no one mentioned it. How does that get ignored? Nigel is a photographer, and everyone has working eyeballs, yet no one felt the need to acknowledge that Angelea’s photo was a technical disaster. Krista, who had reattached her ponytail, had far and away the best photo, and Alexandra looked sort of off.

And then the judges engaged in the most meaningless conversation ever about “ugly pretty” not edging to “ugly ugly.” It was basically this, but not funny:

Blah blah blah, it went on forever. This week’s winner: Krista! She bugged out, predictably, and then made that familiar Top Model math mistake of claiming that she now had a 50/50 chance of winning. False! It’s only 50/50 if the winner is chosen at random! There are other factors at play here. Come on, people. A little math literacy is all I ask. (Well, it’s almost all I ask for. I also ask for Diet Cokes, as far as the eye can see.)

Which two were going to be sent a-packin’, and who was going to move on? By now, there wasn’t really any suspense: Alexandra had failed to deliver at any point in the competition, and Angelea had been slipping for weeks. Raina had the advantage of being really beautiful and good at modeling, so I wasn’t all that surprised when she made the cut. Farewell, Angelea, and thanks for squeezing in “bitch” just one more time. Also, nice leopard-print bra! (I lame the Nell factor again — Tyra’s bra, after all, has been showing at various points all season.) Bye, Alexandra! You were a non-entity!

Whew! That’s usually where I’d wrap up my recap. But we have a whole other episode to go. To my complete shock, this finale episode was solid, and it even contained emotions. Like a real show, almost.

“Holy schnike,” Raina said, because that is totally a saying. Back in the day, Tommy Boy fans, myself included, dropped a “holy schnikey” or two, but an abbreviation that rhymes with “hike”? Not allowed. Also, Raina’s only 22 — Tommy Boy-ish references this week, a Full House one last week… isn’t she a teeny bit young for those? Here’s hoping she busts out some Empty Nest references next.

Raina and Krista gushed about being in the top two, but I was pretty distracted by the flipped-over bed in the corner and what seemed to be writing on the sliding door. What the hell did they do to this apartment?

A helicopter ride and some sumptuous landscape porn later, Krista and Raina were in new, un-destroyed digs, where they were presented with the script for their Makeup Company commercial. It’s this point in every cycle where I wonder: Has no one on this show ever gone to middle school? I know rote memorization isn’t a particularly sophisticated pedagogical technique, but didn’t you guys have to take quizzes? I can still rattle off the first 10 elements on the periodic table, recite the first chunk of the Gettysburg Address, and get through most of the Greek alphabet (but only to the tune of “boomdeyadda“). No one else? How hard is memorizing what seems to be a one-minute monologue? Use the method of loci and pull yourselves together, modeltestants.

Last season’s winner, Bloody Eyeball Nicole, was on hand to coach the girls, but I was too distracted by her strangely ratty and too-orange hair. This made me a sad panda. Nicole’s hair was so perfect, even in humidity last season. She gave curly-haired ladies such as myself a shred of hope. Oh, well.

Raina’s glamor shot went well, but Krista froze during the commercial shoot. Duh. This happens every single cycle. Raina also flubbed her lines a few times, and Krista looked a little harsh in the still shots. Maybe it’s because her bedtime attire appeared to be a heavy-duty sleep mask, a scarf, and a gigantic velvet (?) blanket/hood over her face. I guess she really means business when she goes to sleep.

The Seventeen shoot was nondescript, even if they seemed to skip over the magazine’s primary purpose, which as I remember it was to tell tween girls that using tampons doesn’t mean you’re not a virgin. Apparently there’s also fashion stuff?

And then the whole season seemed to redeem itself (well, almost), when Tyra surprised Krista and Raina with a visit from their families. Krista’s mom and stepdad and Raina’s father were there, and they each did a family portrait photo shoot. I am not above admitting that I got a little choked up. It was very adorable! I just wish we had seen those photos at panel. Oh, well, again, times infinity.

Half the season’s cast got to walk in the Anna Sui fashion show along with the two finalists, but the show itself didn’t seem nearly chaotic enough, based on previous cycles, Project Runway, and the jillions of behind-the-scenes fashion TV shows and movies I’ve apparently watched. Where were the bare breasts? The too small shoes? The Polaroid wall? The panicky intern with a headset? This hardly seemed like a real fashion show at all! What’s that? It wasn’t? Oh.

Raina’s walk was slow and sort of stampy, while Krista’s was more graceful, but it was tough to see either through the bizarre and worthless filter the show used for this part. I’m glad a music video from the early ’90s was so inspiring for everyone, but it was seriously distracting as a viewer.

Backstage, Tyra tried to trick Raina and Krista into saying things that were personal and meaningful, as if she gave a rat’s ass. Once upon a time, Tyra used to go to the models’ house and talk to all of them about, oh, body issues and girl fights and stuff, and then everyone had one-on-one sessions where they bonded with Tyra and often cried. Nowadays, we get two measly, poorly thought-out questions backstage after a fashion show. Thumbs down.

Time for judging, again! Tyra’s jumpsuit this time appeared to be an avant garde architectural interpretation of a Grimace costume. Raina’s feathery skirt had a bustle/tail, and Krista’s shoes were ridiculous pouf balls. It was…a lot of look.

Raina’s beauty shot was gorgeous, but André said she didn’t glow enough. Krista’s close-up was my least favorite photo of her all cycle — it was harsh and sort of flat. The commercial was atrocious (that was a given, right?), and neither woman really distinguished herself with her on-camera style: Raina was squinting, but Krista looked a bit pained and sweaty.

So who would it be? Krista or Raina? Chalk or cheese, per Nigel’s description? No eyebrows or serious eyebrows? America’s next top model is…

Krista!

I was a tiny bit sad for Raina, but her sunny disposition seemed to be fully intact, and it’s tough to argue with a winner as gorgeous and consistent as Krista. Are most “real” models pretty much retired by the time they’re 25? Sure. Does reality affect this show in any way? Obviously not.

So, there you have it, Model Citizens. Another cycle down. Despite a pretty good finale, this season was a dud at best, rock bottom at worst. Krista deserved to win, but does the show deserve to go on? How would you save it? And what was Tyra’s worst jumpsuit of the season?

America’s Next Top Model Spoilers: Cycle 12 Finale!

America’s Next Top Model Cycle 12: Finale Recap

Source: Reality Wanted

This week on America’s Next Top Model, it was the final episode of the season! Three girls remain: Allison, Aminat and Teyona. They received scripts and realized that they would be shooting their CoverGirl commercial. When they got to the set, they found out they were doing both a commercial and a photo shoot. Aminat was the first one to shoot the commercial and did a good job minus the fact that her personality was lacking. Her eyes weren’t showing any emotion either. Allison forgot her lines in front of the camera but managed to pull through. Teyona got caught up in her nerves and she started crying.

The next day, it was time for the first elimination of the episode. Teyona made it clear in the commercial that she was nervous but her photo really connected. Allison’s commercial wasn’t bad and her photo was beautiful. Aminat got some claps for her commercial but her photo wasn’t up to par with her commercial which lead to her elimination.

The two finalists, Allison and Teyona, went straight to a photo shoot for Seventeen magazine. Whichever girl wins America’s Next Top Model will have her photo on the cover of the magazine.

It is time for the final runway walk for Rosa Cha to determine the winner of America’s Next Top Model. Teyona looked great in her bathing suit and Allison did a surprisingly great job. The last part of the show, the girls were painted in black and had to crawl across the runway. It was a very artsy but weird end to a runway show.

The girls finished the show and went straight to the final elimination. Allison made Tyra shocked and amazed with her walk. Teyona’s walk felt a bit robotic at times but when she put her hands on her hips she owned the runway. The judges deliberated intensely and now for the moment we have all been waiting for…drum roll please!

And the winner is…TEYONA!!!

Top Model Judge Paulina Porizkova Gets Fired

Source: TV Guide

America’s Next Top Model judge Paulina Porizkova says she’s been fired from the reality competition series. Only one night before the Season 12 finale of America’s Next Top Model (Wednesday at 8 pm/ET on CW), Porizkova told late night host Craig Ferguson she was axed — on her birthday, no less. “Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles … because I am looking for a job because I was fired by America’s Next Top Model on my birthday,” said Porizkova. So why did the model, who replaced model Twiggy in Season 10, get the boot? “The reason I was told I was fired was because it seemed that America’s Top Model has gotten too fat, and they needed to cut some fat. And the fat was me.” The fat is metaphorical, of course: Porizkova is still practically a stick figure. Porizkova also said the show’s producers felt she had an “ego problem” of which she was unaware.

See larger image With Celia being the latest kicked-out contestant of ““, three remain to steal the crown next week. Aminat, Allison and Teyona will face the CoverGirl challenge in the finale and only two will strut their moves in the show’s “most provocative” runways. On the Wednesday, May 6 episode, Celia was in the bottom two along with Aminat. The judges were complaining of Celia’s old look which could be a problem when she has to do the cover for Seventeen magazine. So they admitted Aminat in, with the warning that she has got to work it in the photo shoots. The finale for the 12th cycle will air on Wednesday, May 13. They have to complete their CoverGirl commercial before one is eliminated. Then, the two finalists shoot their Seventeen magazine cover, and show the judges their fiercest moves when they, literally, crawl down the final runway.

America’s Next Top Model Spoilers: Cycle 12 Viva Las Vegas!

Top Model is back, baby! And tonight’s playful two-hour 12th-season premiere brings together 34 gorgeous goddesses to Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Of course, only 13 will survive the initial hour and move into a luxurious Upper East Side apartment in New York City where the real fun and catty games begin. The beautiful baker’s dozen walk their first runway and then bring classic childhood games to life in a joyous Central Park photo shoot. TV Guide

America’s Next Top Model is back this week! What are the girls like this season?
These potential models are insanely gorgeous—or maybe just a little insane? I kid! While there are some of the usual crazies, there are noticeably more standouts in ANTM‘s 12th cycle (yes, this is the 12th season!). Based on the premiere, the 6’1 and stunning Aminat and breath of fresh air Celia are definitely frontrunners. I know it’s still early, but these two not only get the most screen time, they seem to have those natural, model-esque qualities. Also, I’m thinking we should keep an eye on Jessica Stroup look-alike, London. She’s a model on a mission—literally!

Any other scoop on ANTM?
This cycle takes place in Las Vegas, and instead of first narrowing the girls down to 20, Tyra makes it 21 in honor of Top Model‘s new hometown.

America’s Next Top Model: Interview with McKey

Top Model Winner Dishes on Her “Weirdo” Ways

by Gina DiNunno, TV Guide

The final runway was more of an obstacle course than a catwalk, but leggy McKey tackled it with style to become America’s Next Top Model. TVGuide.com caught up with the Cycle 11 winner to find out everything from how she’s learned to embrace her “weirdo” ways, what she thinks Tyra is really like and where she came up with the pseudo name McKey.

TVGuide.com: The finale runway was pretty intense. What was it like running up that hill in heels?
McKey: It was so scary! I was so nervous I was going to drop my train, slip on it and fall off the side creating some Top Model catastrophe. We did get some tips prior. Basically, you took a running start, picked up your skirt and hiked yourself up the hill with the momentum. I think it served as a good distraction where it became your task to get up that hill without falling as opposed to over focusing on who’s going win.

TVGuide.com: What was one of the hardest things to deal with throughout the experience?
McKey: I had a really hard time letting the girls get to know me at first. I was guarded and very controlling as to what I showing to them. I guess I just shelled up because I was afraid they’d see what a weirdo I am and stay away from me! We started getting in sync with each other the second week, and the longer we were the there, the more comfortable everyone got with each other. That’s why the fights started, because everyone was more comfortable fighting with each other [laughs]. There were little disagreements over everything from what color looks better to who the president shouldn’t be.

TVGuide.com: Why do you say you’re a weirdo?
McKey: I don’t know — I ate dog food when I was little. [laughs] I just have odd, quirky things about me that I don’t know from watching myself but from other people’s reactions of what I do. It’s kinda hilarious. I’ll be making a face and they’ll say “What are doing,”and I’m like “Impersonating a rabbit, why?” I’m just having a good time, lay off me guys!

TVGuide.com: Tyra’s pretty quirky on the show as well.
McKey: Tyra was different than what I expected. She’s really goofy and not afraid to act completely ridiculous. She’s herself and she doesn’t care. And this experience [taught me] to most definitely to be myself. Even if what I say or do seems quirky or odd, I am who I am — people will love me about that or hate me about that. Either way it can end up helping me.

TVGuide.com: Tyra had you change your name because there were competing Britneys on the show. How did you pick the name McKey?
McKey: McKey was what my mom was going to name me when I was born — well, McKenzie, actually. McKey is my way of shortening it. But my sister wanted Britney because she had a friend that had a sister named Britney and she wanted one too. I was like a Barbie doll on shelf, ‘I want one too!’ McKey was a penname of mine in high school — it was McKey Tay. I used to be very into writing in school, so anytime I was writing something funny or really out there, I’d use it as my alter alias. I’d picture myself in a black leather jacket and a little hood with those giant pink sun glasses sneaking around [laughs].

TVGuide.com: How did you get into modeling when you were younger?
McKey: I used to be a tomboy and play about every sport under the sun — and with that comes injury. I ended up having knee surgery that put me out for six months. I got pretty depressed, so I decided to try out for the Elite Model Look. I won regional, but not nationals and got a contract with Elite. But nothing every really took off so I went back to normal life. Eventually, I decided to give it just one last kick [with Top Model] so that when I’m a granny, I won’t regret anything.

TVGuide.com: What are you hoping for with your upcoming career?
McKey: Ideally, what happens is they send me to Europe — hopefully Paris. I think that’s where my look fits in the best, and I’ve been told I have very European features. And my mother did the sweetest thing and bought me a Papillion dog, which is what I really wanted to travel with me. She’s going to come with me wherever I go so I can take a little bit of home with me. But, if I can work in New York, I’ll go to New York — wherever I can get work I’ll go!

America’s Next Top Model Recap: McKey Wins Season 11!

Episode Air Date: November 19, 2008

From Angela Williams, for About.com

Down to Three

It’s down to three: McKey, Sam and Annaleigh. Of course, Jay Manuel has to put them through their paces one more time with a commercial. On camera, Sam comments that she hopes her male model doesn’t have herpes when she finds out she has to kiss him. Don’t remember her saying that last time. McKey finally gets the words out, but she is too robotic for Jay to be impressed. Annaleigh just loses it and blanks out at first. Jay had to feed her the lines, and we all know how Tyra feels about that…Next at the Cover Girl photo shoot, the photographer is impressed with Sam’s personality. He likes Annaleigh’s poses, but wonders if there is more. He likes McKey’s quirkiness. They all go to sleep later, and for once, the final three left in the house actually get along and there is no drama.

Judging

The three nervously assemble in front of the judges for their individual evaluations. From their words it seems that McKey is a shoe-in for the runway fashion show finale. Sam and Annaleigh must have felt it also because their smiles were gone and they were looking pretty solemn. After the commercial break, Tyra announced their choices, and Annaleigh is sent home. Thank God Tyra didn’t move around too much. That scarf she was masquerading as a dress was more like a towel and it was just too short for a woman over 4. As in four. The final two are whisked away for their Seventeen Magazine shoot. The winner’s cover will be used. Then it was off to see the runway Jay Manuel had designed. It looked like a Dr. Suess maze. Last year’s winner, Whitney, joins them. The show goes off without a hitch, high heels and pink hills and all. Afterward, they face Tyra and the other judges one last time. The winner…McKey!

America’s Next Top Model Spoilers: Inside Scoop on Who Wins Tonight

Top Model: Inside Scoop on Who Wins Tonight

by Kristin Dos Santos, E!Online

McKey Sullivan, Samantha Potter, Analeigh Tipton, America's Next Top Model Barrie Hullegie/Pottle Productions Inc

Tonight is the night! The winner will be crowned on America’s Next Top Model, securing her spot as the next femme fatale we’ll see awkwardly stumbling through “My Life as a CoverGirl” commercials for months to come.

So who will it be? Who is the “obvious” choice?

Here’s the inside info sources just spilled…

“It’s a clear win. It’s not a close tie or anything. The winner blows the other two away.”

This is what an insider who works on the show tells me of tonight’s finale, adding, “It’s the most expensive final runway we’ve ever done. It is insane.”

I’m also told that the winning chiquita is currently on the East Coast, though I’m not sure that helps us since none of the three has an East Coast hometown listed on the CW’s Top Model homepage.

Samantha is from Woodland Hills, Calif. (right up the road here from Hollywood); Analeigh is from Sacramento, Calif., and currently living in Los Angeles; and McKey is from Lake Forest, Ill. So, hmmm, she is the farthest east.

McKey still seems the “obvious” choice the Jays hinted about at the start of the season. She has the perfect editorial face, presents herself like a real model and is the most bookable (see: Holland “go-sees”) of the three. Plus, we’ve seen so very little of her up until very recently this season, which tells me they’ve been trying to hide the obvious.

Analeigh and Samantha are both very likeable, but this isn’t a personality or a popularity contest—the judges, not America, will decide. So here’s me putting all my money on a McKey win for tonight…

What do you say? Who will win?

The Top Model Winner Has to Be…

CW

ANTM, Analeigh, Samantha, McKey, Marjorie

Ever since Mr. Jay Manuel and Miss J. Alexander told me the winner of this cycle of America’s Next Top Model is “obvious,” the answer has proven anything but, right?

Well, I’m now told that’s because those sneaky ANTM editors and producers have gone to great lengths all season long to conceal just how obvious this winner is.

“Trust me, whenever it’s kind of obvious they cut it out because they don’t want to give it away,” explains Mr. Jay.

That said, I’m now convinced the winner has to be…

The CW

ANTM, McKey Sullivan

McKey—don’t you think? Who else have we seen so very little of this season? Who else knocked the socks off all the designers at her “go-sees” in Amsterdam last week, booking every single one of her potential jobs?

They may be able to edit the judges’ praise and adoration, but they couldn’t edit out that, and being 100 percent bankable to designers is key.

McKey has flown so far under the radar (think about it: very little footage of her behind the scenes has been shown compared to the other girls), and yet the occasional comments we do hear about her include how “stunning” and “striking” her face is—not to mention she’s just about as tall and modelesque as they come. And she even rocks impressive designer duds at panel!

Personally, I am sold.

Meanwhile, though, BetOnline.com has just released the following odds on ANTM, placing Analeigh as the front-runner:

  • Analeigh (2-to-1)
  • McKey (9-to-4)
  • Marjorie (7-to-2)
  • Samantha (6-to-1)

Who is right? Who are you feeling? Check out the sneak peeks of tomorrow night’s new ep below, and then post your personal predictions in the comments…

From Ace Showbiz:

” next week episode will be surprising. With the title “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t”, the ladies pull a disappearing act for this week’s challenge. Based on the clip, it can be seen that there is a person who shows up with a full dress and covered by green fabric. This kind of stimulation has the function to show the models a wonderful breakthrough for making a different appearance on television. The green fabric will only make visible the dress but not the models.

Next week in “Top Model” tradition, seven remaining girls (Marjorie, Sheena, Elina, Samantha, Analeigh, Joslyn, and McKey) test their on-camera talents when they shoot their “CoverGirl” commercial with the help of cycle 10 winner, Whitney Thompson. During judging, will reveal this cycle’s overseas destination and one model will be sent home.

“Now You See Me, Now You Don’t” episode will air on The CW network, Wednesday, October 22, at 8/7c.

America’s Next Top Model Shocker: Clark Interview

From Kristin at E!Online

Clark, America's Next Top Model

“It was like watching a boyfriend break up with me! It was heartbreaking!” This is what Clark Gilmore just told Kristi at E!Online  of her experience watching last night’s episode of America’s Next Top Model, in which Tyra & Co. gave her the big ol’ boot in a surprising twist.

After scoring the No. 1 spot the week before, Clark admitted, “I didn’t see it coming. I really didn’t.” Well, that makes two of us.

So what about those rumors of a nose job? Sheena‘s fake boobs? That kiss with Elina? And this cycle’s big winner? Here’s what Clark spilled…

A Little Touch-up: Clark’s nose, which is still healing from a rhinoplasty she’d had done just before Thanksgiving last year. “I was 97 percent recovered from it, as far as the swelling goes,” when the show began. Despite this year’s crop of girls being quite frank with each other, the models outed Sheena’s secret boob job right quick: “You know, she hid it at first, but it was so obvious. We were like, ‘Girl, you’re so lying. Those are not God-given! Those are doctor-given!’ ”

She Kissed a Girl (And She Didn’t Mind It): Clark (who has kept the black hair, BTW) said the kiss she shared early on with Elina was totally platonic…at least on her end. “I didn’t know that she had a crush on me then! And it’s just so funny to watch it now. It was just like kissing your girlfriends hey or goodbye or whatever. You know, you care about them, it’s not like a passionate, romantic kiss by any means.” Still, she and Elina remain close, despite being polar opposites: “I’m a really girlie girl, feminine, blond chick who likes pink, and Elina doesn’t believe in gender roles and wears all black.” Clark also says she and Lauren Brie are now “best friends” after the show.

Who Will Win? “I have a pretty good idea who it is, but obviously can’t say anything about that. I can tell you that the whole thing is a shock. The entire show, from the very first episode probably to the very last, is just not what you expect.”

So who do you guys think it’s going to be? Elina or someone else?

Warning: This post contains spoilers about the outcome of the most recent episode of America’s Next Top Model.

Isis, the first transgendered model in the history of America’s Next Top Model, was sent home this week — and Tyra Banks made it clear that her being transgendered had nothing to do with it.

Isis found herself competing for the last photo with Samantha, who earned a spot in the bottom two by pulling up her skirt slightly while walking a runway blindfolded. Isis put herself in jeopardy, Banks said, by looking “sleepier and sleepier and sleepier” each week — like someone afraid to stand out.

Earlier in the episode, fellow contestant Clark had whispered that it was time for Isis to go home, and that parts of her body were too manly for her to get modeling jobs.

Also sent home this episode was Hannah, the Alaska resident who pushed Isis two weeks ago for backing into her personal space.

Isis said when she was announced as a contestant that she was there to win, not just set an example.

“I like to help people, but I’m here to follow my dreams,” the 22-year-old told Us.
