Glee – Guess Who Just Had A Baby?

Ladies and gentle-Gleeks, Baby Drizzle has been born!

You superfans know “Drizzle” is the offspring of Puck (Mark Salling) and Quinn (Dianna Agron), and as boss Ryan Murphy promised, we will see the birth this season.

“I gave birth today, so I went with the braids,” Dianna told me last night at a Glee event I moderated at the TV Academy. “It was messy.” Here’s the scoop you fans need to know:

“I was giving birth to my baby today,” Dianna teased to the fans during our Q&A at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. “They put a real baby on me today and it was so sweet. And I didn’t want them to take it away.”

The long-awaited birth scene will go down in Glee’s season-one finale on June 8. And P.S., no one has been waiting longer than Dianna, who’s been rocking that bump while shooting for nearly two years now. “Our choreographer can’t wait for me to get rid of the bump,” Dianna admitted. “It’s the running joke throughout all the dance scenes. ‘Would a pregnant woman be doing this?’ And I’ll say, ‘Yes, she needs to stay fit!’ ”

Executive producer Brad Falchuk insists the birth scene will blow you away. “Dianna was brilliant today. Truly. I’m surprised she’s awake and up right now. She was unbelievable today. Wait until you see the scene, because I was convinced I was going to see a baby come out of there.” Ew. And awwwww.

So what does this all mean for Quinn and baby daddy Puck? Mark Salling says Puck “wants to step up,” but we have to tune in to see whether he does or not. Fair enough.

Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) starts falling for Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison), and we see the inside of her house, which is wall to wall trophies. “It’s like hoarders with trophies,” Ryan Murphy jokes.

Despite recent reports, Murphy said he’s not sure yet if there will be a second Madonna episode. However, they’re hopeful. “She loved the first one, and her people called us and said, ‘You know we have other songs.'” Ya don’t say. Note to self: Gotta check out this hot up-and-coming artist!

Cory Monteith (Finn) thinks Rachel and Finn are the core relationship and that they “will go the distance.” He also admitted that so many of you fans are right: He will be singing Rick Springfield’s “Jesse’s Girl.” And that can only mean bad things for Jesse (Jonathan Groff) and Rachel (Lea Michele).

Kevin McHale on Artie and Tina: “I root for them because they’re awkward.”

According to Murphy, Coldplay said no in the beginning to their music being used on Glee, but in the past two weeks they called and said, “We were wrong…” Suckas!

Glee – Boss Dishes on Show’s “Core” Couple

Pucksters, you might want to go ahead and cover your eyes for just a tick while we deliver some news that’s guaranteed to make you douse your own face in delectable blue slushie:

“The Finn-Rachel relationship is obviously a core of the show,” says executive producer Brad Falchuck—dun, dun, dun!

Now that that’s finished (well, sorta), we actually have some spoilery goodness from Brad himself on all fronts, including Puckleberry love, Finchel romance and everyone else who’s getting in the way…

Finchel: If you’re a fan of the goofy jock and diva gal love story, you’ll love this, because it looks like together or apart, these two are in it for the long haul.

“We always are going to explore that relationship in many different ways,” Brad tells us. “It’s going to be a push and pull in that sometimes it’s going to be him going after her and sometimes it’s going to be her going after him, and they’re always going to be watching each other from afar.”

As if the point that these two are total soul mates isn’t clear yet, Brad says: “No matter what’s going on in their lives, they’ll always have one eye on the other one. So we’ll see a bunch of that.”

If by “what’s going on in their lives” he means one new New Directioner, Jesse St. James (swoonworthy Jonathan Groff), and that V-card stealing Santana (was anyone else shocked last night?!), then yeah, there’s a lot going on. We’re not worried, though. Just temporary setbacks that actually gave us something—Glee’s blush-inducing “Like a Virgin” number, which was way sex-ay, no?

Oh, and by the season’s end, Finchel might just be back in each other’s arms. “By episode 22 of the back 9, we’ll reach a really temporary conclusion to Finn and Rachel…They both secretly, and not so secretly, sometimes love each other.”

And anti-Puck peeps of the world shout, “Booyah!”

Puckleberry: Still, the Powers That Be over at Glee are fully aware they struck gold when hooking Rachel up with bad boy Puck. And trust us, these two will be together again.

“Every good girl likes a bad boy, and there’s nobody more good than Rachel and nobody no more bad than Puck,” Brad says with a laugh. “We’ll continue to explore it. It’s high school! Everybody is always bouncing around to everybody.” Whoo-hoo! But does this mean Kurt will finally get his dream date with Finn?! Ummm, we think not.

We do know that Puck will venture a bit on the skanky side—hookups with say, every chick on Glee including Mercedes, say the big bosses!—so don’t expect anything too serious headed his way.

Still, Puck has plenty going on to occupy his time including that supersad storyline we hinted at a few weeks back and a to-die-for musical number up ahead.

“Mark [Salling] has a lot of very focused stories in the back nine, and so yes, he’ll have plenty of moments,” Brad teases, including a Rat-Pack-tastic number. “If you haven’t fallen in love with him yet, after that one, good Lord.” Fan-freaking-tastic!

Any new Finchel or Puckleberry converts in the hizouse? Who’s on Team Santana? Get your Gleek on in the comments below and let us know how you feel about this coupley news, then tune into Glee Tuesdays on Fox.

[Creator] Ryan [Murphy] said, ‘I really want to try and make you a cast regular. I know it might be a stretch but we’ll see what Fox says. And so I got a call from my agent. But we haven’t signed our contracts yet.

As the two of you were getting even more screen time than some of the regulars, it was getting confusing why you and Naya weren’t on the posters or on the main stage with the rest of your cast on Oprah.
Yeah. It was kind of weird for us too, but I figured that might happen since we weren’t main cast yet. But it didn’t hurt my feelings. Whatever. I can’t complain about one thing and my time will come.

How will you and Naya celebrate?
We’re probably going to have a weekend to ourselves in Santa Barbara.

More and more it seems like the show is implying that there’s something sexy going on between Santana and Brit. What’s the deal?
(Laughs) I get asked this over and over again, so I asked Ryan what really happened. He said, ‘It’s just a joke we like to tease, but our show isn’t like that really.’ We decided Brittany just loves everything and is exploring.

Now that you are a regular, what do you might hope for Brittany in season two?
You’re going to see her hang out with Kurt a little bit. And I’m a dancer, so I would love to showcase my dancing abilities and sing more. I told them I think it would be funny if she ruins Glee club somehow by maybe dancing with Vocal Adrenaline because they’re such great dancers.

When the cast and producers gathered for a panel discussion at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, I picked up these other Glee scoops:

Though she won’t be touring with the young cast, Jane Lynch is making sure Sue Sylvester’s dark presence will be felt at the four-city Glee Live In Concert tour, kicking off May 18 in Phoenix. Jane tells me a video-taped “welcome” message will find the nasty Cheerios coach telling the sold-out auditoriums: “Why did you waste your money and time coming here to watch these little snot faucets?”

The first season wrapped production on April 26 with Dianna Agron shooting the emotional delivery of Quinn’s baby. Producer Brad Falchuk said he was so impressed by Dianna’s performance that he expected an actual baby to come out!

Jessalyn Gilsig tells me that despite what some might wish, her nasty character, Terri Schuester, will indeed be back to cause more trouble in season two. “Ryan’s told me a little bit about next season, and I’m very excited about it,” says Jessalyn. Unfortunately, upcoming scenes she shot revealing Terri in the arms of a new lover, have ended up on the cutting room floor due to time constraints. “The storyline got pushed to next year.”

An upcoming episode will reveal the inside of Sue Sylvester’s home, which is wall-to-wall trophies. Producer Ryan Murphy calls the set “sad” and indicative that Sue really has no life outside her career.

Glee – Episode 1.16 – Home – 2 Sneak Peeks

Glee takes a serious turn following this week’s Madge-tastic episode, in “Home.” Look for some major body-image issues from Mercedes, the revelation of why Sue Sylvester is such a raging be-yotch (she hasn’t eaten in decades!) and an intervention from an unlikely friend. Guesses? Also, that parental hookup we’ve been hearing so much about finally happens. And we have to say that we’re loving Mike O’Malley even more as Kurt’s dad. “It’s like a diabolical Parent Trap if you will,” Chris Colfer tells us of Finn’s mom and Kurt’s pops. “It’s more clever than Parent Trap actually because we are creating love that was never there.”

How Far Will The Good Wife Go to Save Her Job?

Source: TV Guide

The Good Wife

After seven months, the battle for the junior associate position at Stern, Lockhart & Gardner will finally come to an end on Tuesday’s episode of The Good Wife (10/9c, CBS). Win or lose, things are going to get even more complicated for Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies).

“She’s worried that she’s going to lose the battle with Cary, so she comes to Eli asking for help,” Alan Cumming, who plays devious campaign manager Eli Gold, tells TVGuide.com. “Basically, she reaches out to him and then, just at that point where they’re about to go into the office and find out who won, you see Eli coming out and you realize he gives his own business to the firm.”

The Good Wife’s junior associate competition gets cutthroat

Eli may help her out in a time of need, but being in debt to her husband’s right-hand man will cost Alicia much more than she bargained for, especially now that Peter (Chris Noth) has begun plotting a return to politics. Although Alicia has voiced her apprehension about Peter’s ambition to re-enter public service, Eli’s favor won’t be easily forgotten.

“Now she owes him and she’s got to cooperate with what he wants her to do in terms of Peter’s campaign,” Cumming says. “He’s still got to work her a little bit to get her to do interviews and stuff, but he keeps reminding her that she owes him and at the very, very end of the season, she’s got to be the good wife.”

Cumming says his characters’ less-than-virtuous actions aren’t as devious as they appear.

“There’s goodness and a real desire to change the world for the better, and it’s just all shrouded in this manipulative, rather antisocial man,” Cumming says. “I think that’s what’s in his heart — his desire to get Peter elected so he will make the world a better place. For that, he’s willing to be very manipulative and dastardly.”

All that said, Cumming, who will be promoted to series regular for Season 2, is the first to admit he’s still figuring Eli out. “I don’t really know anyone like him, and that made it very exciting for me and quite good because he is a guarded person, so I had to be quite guarded in playing him,” he says.

Alan Cumming promoted to series regular on The Good Wife

The real question is whether Alicia will go along for Eli and Peter’s ride and stand by her husband’s side again. The end of the competition is a crossroads for Alicia, between her new life at the firm and her old life as a politician’s wife, as well as whether or not to leave Peter altogether.

“Their relationship is really fascinating because it’s obvious it’s not in very good shape, but there are the children and his campaign. … Everybody is sort of being very cautious,” Cumming says. “In some ways, she does want him to run and be the hero again. But she’s suddenly back working and she really likes working. … So she’s got a lot of things to think about.”

Thank you for last week’s tease about ‘The Good Wife.’ Have any more?
Yeah, and this one’s kind of a biggie. Or should I say Big-gie? Just when you thought the prosecution’s case against Peter was starting to peter out, the M-word – murder – will come into play in Episode 21. (I told you that episode was going to pack a lot of punches.)Source: Fancast

House’s Lisa Edelstein: The Exploration of House and Cuddy Isn’t Over

Source: TVGuide.com

It always hurts when someone you love moves on, and especially painful when that person moves on to someone else. It’s even worse when you still have to see the object of your desire every day. And what’s worst of all is when you’re the star of a medical drama, and for the season finale, you and the woman you love have to spend hours together, treating a victim trapped in the rubble of a crane collapsed. A crane collapsed like your hopes and dreams.

That’s the situation in which Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) finds himself Monday as House wraps its sixth season. TVGuide.com talked to Lisa Edelstein, who plays just-trying-to-move-on love interest Cuddy, about why she thinks her character has given up on the cranky diagnostician and whether she truly loves her new beau, Lucas. She also tells us whether Cuddy’s rejection could drive House back to a relapse. Will watching the finale be like watching a crane wreck?

Watch free full episodes of House

TVGuide.com: Last week, Dr. Nolan and House came to the realization that Cuddy’s relationship with Lucas has deeply affected House. How will that carry over into the finale?
Edelstein: It comes to a head for sure. Cuddy is making some moves in her life that are really painful for House, even though he’s trying to be the bigger man. I think House is taking all the decisions in her own life personally. When really, the things Cuddy is doing, she’s doing for herself. She’s trying to make better decisions that might lead to a happier, easier future. They’re not necessarily the decisions that stick. They’re just the ones you try to do. And in the meantime, they are caught up in an awful disaster where they team up to help this woman. In the process it really forces them to face each other and see each other for who they are.

TVGuide.com: There’s obviously something there, so why do you think she’s giving up on him?
Edelstein: Because of her daughter. The fact that she’s a mother and needs something stable in her life. She’s got so much responsibility that to have an intimate relationship with House would mean she’d have another huge task at hand. And I think she’s doing everything she can to stop herself from going in that direction.

TVGuide.com: Well, do you think she really loves Lucas?
Edelstein: I think it’s more about having a stable family. I don’t think it’s great passion. It’s one of those times in a person’s life where you try to choose against your instinct because what you need is stability. I think what really turns her on is, well, not stability. She’s got huge responsibilities now. In [the recent Cuddy-centric episode], you see Lucas knows how to show up and helps her in practical matters — even though he’s a disappointment in that particular episode [Laughs]. Her relationship with House goes much deeper. He’s the one that helps her in a way that’s more meaningful. She’s able to come to new understandings with him.

TVGuide.com: A lot of fans truly hate the “Luddy” relationship. What’s your take on that?
Edelstein: I love it. I think it’s fantastic that people are so passionate about it. It’s very hard to watch two people that you think should just get together not get together. It’s very painful because you get attached to an idea. But I don’t think the exploration of House and Cuddy is over by any stretch of the imagination. I just think she could not go further with him until she tried something else. There’s no way. She has to try to live the life that she thinks is the more correct way of doing this. This is the woman who is very responsible. Until she’s done going in that direction, which I don’t know when that will be, she’s got to do what she’s got to do.

TVGuide.com: Would you like to see House and Cuddy get together before end of the series, or do you think that would ruin things?
Edelstein: I do think they need to do something about it. And I would trust David Shore to never make it actually work. [Laughs] It has to be tortured and painful. I mean, these are not happy people. If they suddenly became happy, the dynamics of the show would change. Would I like to see something go on? Yeah. But how will it happen, I have no idea.

VIDEO: Get a first Look at the House finale

TVGuide.com: Recent episodes have dropped hints that House is headed for a relapse. What can you tell us about that?
Edelstein: House came out of the hospital with the intention of getting Cuddy. So that’s an arc of this season for sure. Wilson’s been there to take care of him, but Cuddy’s been the thing on his mind. He’s tried many times this season to convince her to be with him, so I do think that’s a major sense of failure.

TVGuide.com: So. Tell us how it all ends?
Edelstein: No. [Laughs] A lot of people on the show haven’t even seen the finale scene.

TVGuide.com: So is it really good?
Edelstein: Yes!

House – Katie Jacobs on House, Huddy and Next Season

House‘s season 6 finale airs in less than a month, so what better time to get executive producer Katie Jacobs on the horn for a quick status report on Huddy, Luddy, and all things in between? That was meant as a rhetorical question but I’ll go ahead and answer it anyway: There is no better time, silly!

Last year at this time, House was exhibiting the early signs of a complete mental breakdown. What’s his emotional journey as this season winds down?
KATIE JACOBS: Considering the fact that he’s not on Vicodin, things have been going as well as they could possibly go. He’s living with Wilson, and I think that’s helpful. And he’s really making an effort to hold it together. It sort of seems like in every episode there’s a new revelation about how well he really is doing. How is he faring just taking ibuprofen for the pain? Is that working? In episode 17 he was stuck in that room for two hours with David Strathairn and we found out he is in pain. And from now until the end of the season, there’s going to be something that challenges House’s [sobriety] in almost every episode.

Wilson’s ex-wife returning being one of those things?
JACOBS: Yes. If that relationship progresses to the point where they want to live together, what does that mean for House? Does he stay or does he go? Also, some things from [his] past are going to come back and maybe present themselves as an opportunity for him to connect to someone else, and it’s not going to work out so well. Everybody but House is sort of taking a step toward, coupling up or at least trying to. Wilson with Sam, Cuddy with Lucas, and earlier in the season there was Foreman with his brother. And little by little House is going to find that he’s pretty much on his own again.

Let’s talk about the Huddy of it all. Back in February, David Shore confirmed that House and Cuddy would eventually hook up. Fans, of course, are growing impatient.
JACOBS: I understand the fans’ point of view, but the relationship between Cuddy and Lucas offers Cuddy some really important things: companionship, shared responsibility of Rachel, and they have a nice time together. What I think fans are responding to is that they don’t feel that relationship provides everything Cuddy can have. I would say watch for [an answer to this question]: Is that relationship going to work for Cuddy? Because it’s a lot of good things but it’s not everything. But no relationship is. How long will that work for Cuddy? Will it work permanently or will it not work?

I can’t tell you how many emails I receive a day from fans who just want Lucas gone.
JACOBS: They don’t want her to settle for anyone less than House. And that’s something she has to wrestle with. Is this really going to work for her? Is this going to be the relationship? And we know that’s on everyone’s minds. It’s on our minds as well.

Would it be fair to say she’s going to come to some sort of decision about that before the end of the season?
JACOBS: It’s addressed, so far as, “Okay, am I going to make this work with Lucas? Can I stay with Lucas?” It is going to be addressed by the end of the season whether or not she thinks she can.

You hinted earlier that someone from House’s past comes back. Is it a former love?
JACOBS: I won’t address that. But I will say that one of the things that we haven’t shown, but that’s been ongoing, is his treatment with Dr. Nolan [Andre Braugher]. Just because he’s been out of the hospital doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have regular therapy session. We haven’t shown that, and you’ll see that.

Thirteen and Taub’s three-year fellowships are due to expire at season’s end. Will that be addressed?
JACOBS: Boy, you’re so smart. I don’t know. I really don’t know. I will say there’s a mystery at the end of this season with one of our characters. Oh, that’s so vague.

Can you be a little more specific?
JACOBS: [Hesitates] In the final episode there’s an unanswered question with one of our actors and it’s a mystery that will play out over next season.

Yikes! Who do you think Jacobs is referring to? And care to weigh in on Cuddy’s big season-ending decision?

OTH, LUX,Nikita, Betwixt and Hellcats – Potentially good news

According to Variety the CW is looking to pick up a maximum of three new dramas for next season which could leave room for both LUX and OTH to be renewed. A Nikita pickup is a sure thing with Betwixt and Hellcats looking good for the other two spots.

One Tree Hill – Life Unexpected – Spoiler Chat – E! Online – 4-19-2010

I’m dying for news on One Tree Hill! Please tell us, will it survive? Or will the CW pick up Life Unexpected instead?
Still no decisions yet, but they both could come back—possibly with shortened seasons, so keep the faith! We’ll find out May 20. As for OTH, I’ll be (hopefully) talking to James Lafferty and/or Rob Buckley this week, so please email me any Q’s you have or send them via twitter @kristinalert.

Sophia Bush does a pilot- Is Life Unexpected winning the battle against One Tree Hill?

One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush has been cast as the lead in a new ABC comedy. While they gave the usual “Pilot is in second place to One Tree Hill” remark lets face it when was the last time a main cast member of a in-danger show ever done a pilot without it being cancelled in the end?
The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed that of Life Unexpected and One Tree Hill only one is expected to survive

One Tree Hill – Tipped For New Season

The CW president Dawn Ostroff has admitted that she is encouraged by the success of One Tree Hill.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ostroff gave hope to Tree Hill fans about the possibility of an eighth season renewal.

“We’re encouraged. We think [creator] Mark Schwahn has done a great job with the show. The fans are the most loyal and dedicated I think I’ve ever seen. They have some 1.6 million fans on Facebook.”

She added: “Too early too tell [about a renewal], but creatively we feel the show is in a really good place.”

Asked whether One Tree Hill will be competing with Life Unexpected for a slot in the 2010-11 schedule, Ostroff would neither confirm nor deny.

Exclusive: Updates on Life Unexpected,One Tree Hill and Melrose Place’s statuses

According to our contacts at the CW things are looking much darker for Life Unexpected which has gone from 50/50 to highly unlikely to return. This does not however mean that things are much brighter for One Tree Hill which is still very much on the bubble – though it is more likely to be renewed than LUX at this point despite being so much more expensive. Due to it’s costs it is also unlikely to move to SOAPNET if the CW were to cancel it. The problem at the CW is with all their renewals they only plan on picking up 3 to 4 of HMS, BETWIXT, Nikita, Nomads,Untitled horse farm drama, Hellcats, One Tree Hill and Melrose Place (which is considered pretty much dead at this point). The success of High Society could also make things even more competitive. At this point don’t be surprised if come May, the CW doesn’t renew anything else and just picks up 3 to 4 pilots.
