Ghost Whisperer – Episode 4.21 – Cursed – Plotline and Casting Call

STORY LINE
When a little girl communicates with the spirits trapped in a haunted dollhouse, Melinda suspects that the restless dead may have pernicious designs on the living…

[LUCY] In her mid to late 30s, she’s a put-together single mother with a bit of an edge. Lucy has been raising her niece, Emma, ever since Emma’s family died, apparently from carbon monoxide poisoning. Lucy has a troubled relationship with Emma, who will inherit the bulk of her family’s considerable estate when she turns 18, just days away. In fact, Emma is the only one standing between Lucy and a fortune, and Melinda suspects that Lucy has been dabbling in voodoo with evil intentions. Despite suspicious appearances, Lucy may actually be a loving, concerned aunt whose intentions towards Emma have been seriously misconstrued, not only by her niece, but by the uneasy spirits of her dead, dangerously resentful relatives…GUEST STAR

[EMMA] Just about to turn 18 (must work as a legal 18), she seems like a typical teen — until we learn of her tragic past. The sole survivor of a tragic accident that claimed the lives of her family, Emma is now being raised by her aunt Lucy. Emma is very close to her 7 year old cousin Drew, but feels emotionally distant from her aunt. An heiress who inherits a fortune when she turns 18, Emma is suspicious of her aunt’s motives, and those fears are exacerbated by a mysterious dollhouse that seems haunted by the spirits of her dead family, who also suspect the worst. But as Emma later learns, she, her aunt, and her departed loved ones may all be the well-meaning victims of a gross misapprehension…GUEST STAR

[DREW STANTON] This cute 7 year old girl (please submit 7 to small 10 year olds) discovered a mysterious dollhouse in her attic, and now spends most of her time communing with the spirits who are trapped within. Drew is very close to her cousin, Emma, who lost her family and is now being raised by her aunt Lucy, Drew’s mother. Drew is upset by the whispered insinuations of the spirits, who accuse her mother of unspeakable acts. Terrified and confused, Drew doesn’t know whether the spirits are perniciously motivated or simply mistaken…GUEST STAR

[ZOE] This exuberant character in her early to mid 30s is Eli’s fellow professor, a loopy but grounded individual who is Eli’s “old friend and maybe more.” An expert in voodoo practices, she consults with Eli about Melinda’s recent discovery in the dollhouse. Although her chatty manner can drive Eli crazy, there’s still a strong affection between these two…1 DAY GUEST STAR. Please submit all ethnicities.

[FATHER GHOST] The spirit of Emma’s father, in his early 40s, he seems trapped within the dollhouse facscimile of his family home, now destroyed. He whispers dreadful insinuations about his sister Lucy and her intentions towards his daughter, Emma. However, as Melinda later discovers, the circumstances of the family’s deaths might actually have been the result of pure accident, not design, as the spirits now suspect…GUEST STAR

[MOTHER GHOST] This mother ghost, in her late 30s, also lost her life, apparently in a tragic accident. Now trapped in a dollhouse, she also suspects that Lucy may have lethal intentions towards her daughter, Emma — but her suspicions are later dispelled, thanks to Melinda’s intervention.sptv050769..LARGE CO-STAR

Smallville Episode Recap 8.14 “Requiem”

Justin Hartley, SmallvillePreviously on Smallville: Lana stole Lex’s super suit so she could gain super powers and Tess vowed to bankrupt LuthorCorp.

The very creepy Winslow Schott has a conversation with a ventriloquist’s dummy about the joy of toys. Meanwhile, the LuthorCorp Board of Directors has a meeting to hold a vote of no confidence for Tess Mercer, but Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley) busts in to say he bought a controlling interest in LuthorCorp.

The Board isn’t too pleased, but Oliver is distracted by clicking balls which he figures out are a bomb, so he ducks while the Board gets blown up. In a brilliant bit of editing, the falling, flaming debris smashes into the comet of the opening credits.

In the Kent house, the bed is broken by the super-powered sex of Clark and Lana. Rather than go another round with Clark (Tom Welling) in the sack, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) wants to go out patrolling with him. I think I know quite a few ladies who would disagree with her decision. He puts on his clothes faster than a speeing bullet because he’s always dreamed of having a partner he could work side by side with….READ FULL RECAP AT BUDDY TV

Supernatural Episode Recap: 4.14 “Sex and Violence”

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, SupernaturalThen: Castiel warned Dean about Sam’s dangerous new hobby with Ruby and Sam was upset that Dean didn’t realize he was trying to do good.

Now: Supernatural kicks off with a man coming home late from work and getting into a pretty typical argument with his wife. Then he bludgeons her to death with a meat tenderizer. Sam (Jared Padalecki) learns about this case, the third such incident of a happy husband killing his wife.

The boys investigate and find out the happy husband spent a ton of money at a strip club on a girl named Jasmine. He killed his wife because Jasmine said if he did, they’d be together forever. When it comes to strippers, men have done worse for less.

Sam visits the town coroner and uses his adorable smile to convince her to tell him that all three murderous husbands had an unusually large amount of a certain drug produced when people have sex. Dean (Jensen Ackles) shows up too, and when they leave, Dean is furious that his brother “c-blocked” him.

However, Dean’s anger is short-lived, because he’s just so happy to be investigating a case with strippers. The Winchesters visit the Honey Wagon and Dean gets nothing out of the owner. After talking to Uncle Bobby, Sam theorizes they’re chasing Sirens, and he’s shocked that Dean knows the Greek enchantresses from The Odyssey….READ FULL RECAP AT BUDDY TV

Grey’s Anatomy Episode Recap 5.14: “Beat Your Heart Out”

Sara Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw - Grey's AnatomyGrey’s Anatomy opens tonight with some establishing shots of early morning Seattle. Izzie (Katherine Heigl) is practicing medicine on herself in the clinic, and you know that wacky hijinx are going to ensue because the music is all happy and peppy, instead of OMG-I’m-Going-Crazy crazy. In come her troupe of interns, who have been at Seattle Grace long enough to resent having to be assigned to clinic duty (flu shots and enemas) with Izzie instead of cutting people open. Izzie dramatically draws the curtain open, startling the interns in mid-grumble, and glares at the lot of them. Meanwhile, Cristina (Sandra Oh) opens the door to an on-call room and wakes up Major McHottie (Kevin McKidd), who was napping shirtless. They make awkward, but they share a moment when he shows that he notices little things about her. He suggests that she wear her hair up because he likes seeing the back of her neck. After he leaves the room, she rubs the back of her neck with a smile on her face.

Lexie (Chyler Leigh) is having a hard time keeping her new relationship with Mark a secret. Callie (Sara Ramirez), who has a smashing new haircut with bangs, is the only other person who knows (except for Sadie), so Lexie tries to talk about how much she likes Mark to her, but Callie shuts her down immediate with: “Alone people don’t want to hear about the together people, OK? Even if the alone people are alone by choice. It’s sort of mean. It’s sort of like bringing a six-pack to an AA meeting.”…READ FULL RECAP AT BUDDY TV

Ugly Betty Episode Recap

‘Ugly Betty’ moves back home

Zap2it.com

Lauren Papi hires the nurse Elena (the lovely Lauren Velez of Dexter fame) because he thinks this will neutralize his family’s fussy overprotectiveness and allow him some autonomy. Idiota. The two butt heads, and she lets him know in no uncertain terms that she’s not just a seat filler, but will monitor his diet and exercise properly. After a bit of mule-headed resistance, he finally bows to her wisdom.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Molly continue to get cosy, and she’s even come up with a cute nickname for him: RJ, short for Rich Jerk. Damn straight. Why did he have to throw away 7 cents of change?

Grantbowler Unfortunately, Connor has been obsessing about the picture of Molly he saw in the tabloid — you know, the one where an unidentified man’s hand is holding hers. So Connor enlists Daniel’s help to stakeout her place in hopes of determining the identity of her new squeeze. A silly chain of events involving Betty, flowers and a T-shirt eventually lets Connor know that Daniel is the guy, and he gets KO’d during a sparring session at the gym.

Oddly enough, in guy fashion, that means everything is square between them. You lie, you get hit. End. Connor goes back to Wilhelmina and grovels a bit, and she welcomes him back into her cold, bitchy embrace.

Finally, Betty has her own romantic dilemma. She’s determined to move back home but makes excuse after excuse — she can’t find a roommate for Amanda to sublet the apartment, she has unfinished business with Jesse. Yup, artsy, sensitive musician dude has come back into the picture. After a two-wine bottle session and an impetuous kiss, Betty is more confused than ever.

Jesse_01 When Jesse starts avoiding her, she’s had it and confronts him at one of his coffee house gigs. He apologizes — he’s so confused, he’s such a girl! — and asks her on a date. Later, on said date, the other shoe drops. He’s a total user. She’s warm and sweet, and he totally needs that right now. He’s a self-indulgent, self-involved artiste who funnels everything into his songs but gives very little in return. (Makes sense now how he was blind enough to her crush in the first place so that he made out with Amanda that other time).

Anyway, so Betty is not down with it. She tells him so in a very classy but unambiguous way. Wow. Then she goes back to her apartment and tells Amanda that she’s selected Marc as the perfect roommate to sublet the place. Back home Betty goes.

Highlights and musings:

– I really didn’t want Betty to give up her apartment, but now that it’s done, I better get some quality Familia Suarez action!
– Marc, on what Wil and Connor share a love for: “Fine dining, capitalism and late-night covert surveillances.”
– Is there such a thing as champagne pink? Cuz Willy looks amazing in that color.
– Still not feeling any of the D/M W/C romances.
– A huge relief that Jesse is done for good. Now then, writers, please bring back Gio. Kthxbye.
– How freaking weird/incestuous/hilarious was the MarcManda make out session? Love that they’re roomies now.

Lost Episode Recaps

Lost Episode Recap: “The Little Prince”

Namaste! Wednesday’s episode of Lost, titled “The Little Prince,” proved to be a doozy in terms of at least one character’s presumed fate! We learned how Kate became Aaron’s mommy, how Ben’s sinister (?) hand appears to be behind everything, why everyone’s noses are bleeding and who might not be so dead after all. Read on and all — well, some — will be revealed…read more

Lost Episode Recap: “Jughead”

Am I the only one who was disappointed to find out that there would be no Lost-Archie Comics crossover on Wednesday’s episode? It’s a shame: I had a ton of “jalopy” and “Midge” puns at the ready. So who or what is “Jughead” then? By the end of the hour, we’ve found out, but it’s perhaps the least fulfilling of the many revelations of this fast-paced episode, which contained far fewer “flashes” than last week’s episode. Desmond begins his quest to find Daniel Faraday’s mother — whatever her name is — and in the process learns more about her time-hopping physicist son, and the company he keeps. Read on to get the whole confusing story…read more
